I'll have my mockup done soon. Two consulars would be dope. I don't think anyone would have an issue with that. I'd honestly rather turn the liaison office into a consulars office then put the actual liaison office into a smaller space inside the bridge, since they are an actual scc affiliate. That's the only way I'd be willing to add an extra office to the bridge, yknow? Give me a bit and I'll have something up.

We have come to the conclusion that the decision from WickedCybs is entirely justified as per the forum rules. It is worth noting the definition for a forum warning is - "the lightest type of punishment we will dispense. Generally, this means you'll be informed of the rule you've broken, and we'll let you resume using the forums after you ensure us you won't break the rule again" - So we will not be altering the punishment given. Cybs communicated to you that the topic needed to stop being derailed and pointed to the ivermectin conversation within the topic as an example. When you did not seem to grasp why it was an issue - We see it as breaking the immersion of the server via ooc memes being incorporated into ic mechanics. Cybs saw the same thing, which is why it was fitting that the warning be issued since it is the lightest punishment we're capable of giving on the forums. Cybs is an admin and is well within their right to warn you for something that they feel violates the rules of the server or forums. We are unable to write down every single instance of what is allowed and isn't allowed by rules. However, it should be obvious that if an admin tells you to stop derailing a conversation, that it should be done. If you disagree with this, you can make a complaint regarding the outcome and @Garnascus or @Alberyk will have to handle it.

The bridge does not need more offices. It would be more fitting to have the Captains office take up a fraction of the size that T-comms is taking up right now. At current, the Captains office location makes it seem like they control the bridge and aides in the disconnect between XO and Captain. While the Captain is the head of the ship, the XO is meant to be the bridge commander in a way unless other situations call for the Captains attention. With that said, I'm not against having more consular officers or representatives, but I just think their offices do not need to be included within the bridge itself. I'd rather see the command conference room relocated and the offices placed by there in a hallway/near the Longbow as a whole. I can make a mockup this evening to help visualize what I mean if you'd like.

Hi, @Afya, myself and @eddymakaveli will be handling this. To clarify, you want the warning removed as a result?

It’s over the most recent incident, yes. I have thought on this for a bit and, honestly dude it doesn’t seem like you learn. Re-appeal sometime after a month has passed. denied.

If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: About thirty minutes into the shift, I overheard over the common channel that a cow had been butchered openly in the kitchen. Clearly, this was gross, unsanitary and unprofessional. There was no Executive Officer on shift, so I went to go see what our dear chef was doing. I arrived and immediately saw nothing but pure carnage, like, blood, meat, shards of glass, a bloodied cleaver on the floor, trash, etc. A disgusting work environment that was not fit for cooking. I instructed the cook to clean up her mess because it was gross and the smell of blood was permeating the entire kitchen.. it was also beginning to seep out from behind the counter and into the common area. She flatly replied 'No' and said 'I do not cook on the floor so it does not need to be clean.' They also said something about me not being able to tell them to clean it up because it was their work space or whatever. Well, after a bit of some back and forth - I exercised my authority as Captain and said that if they did not clean up the mess, that I would close the kitchen down and have them charged for failing to execute an executive order. I then left to grab them some space cleaner, to make it easier on them. I came back to hearing a remark about me 'Not having happiness because I lacked a husband' or some sort of sexist, derogatory comment. They also called me a bitch. I ignored this, I figured it was a differing of cultures. I gave them the cleaner and they slowly cleaned up the blood. It is worth noting that a slab of meat was sitting in a pool of blood on the ground - they put it back into the fridge before I mentioned it. Anyway, after that, I left to get a trashbag for the glass and broken electronic board that they acquired from one of the windoors separating the garden and kitchen. When I handed it to them, they said "if it is such an issue, you should be cleaning this" or something. Again, another backhanded comment to me that I chose to ignore. After all of this, I decided to request a steak. I had not had dinner yet - it was ten at night by this point. I don't have the exact time. I asked what was on the menu - they told me to read it. I attempted, but after trying to read the.. barely legible writing, I simply told them to make me a steak, because I was genuinely unable to read the writing. I made a comment about not understanding it. I can't remember what I said but I think I literally said "Forgive me but, this is hard for me to read". This infuriated her. I suppose she's insecure about her ability to write. She handed me some shards of glass after I tried to lessen the tension by saying that I need new glasses - I don't wear glasses - in order to read the menu. She told me to eat that. Then, went on the common channel and called for help. Saying "I am in need of help. There is a maniac woman who is tyrading racist rants." and "She belittles me and I am fearing for my life." 1. I am not a maniac for asking for food/telling them to clean up their mess. 2. At no point did I make a racist comment. Infact, she made several sexist and overtly aggressive comments towards me, as mentioned before, 3. I chose to ignore the other bits of slander, but they took this directly to the common channel in order to attempt to make me look bad in the eyes of crew. She blatantly lied. I am a Captain for the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate, my image matters. Openly slandering me is horrific. I had her arrested and fined for the Slander. I also had a charge placed for neglect of duty since she refused to cook my food and told me to eat shards of glass. However, despite all of this - they continued to be hostile towards me and other crew. They tried to lie to security and even attempted to undermine me by contacting the Operations Manager directly. After being released by Security, they threatened to beat the journalist with a chair for asking questions about their food. They verbally assaulted Ramala, the bridge crew member. Continued to argue with other crew- they are just a spiteful, hateful person and really have no place to be working aboard the Horizon. I did not take any further action due to a severe security issue that arose that pulled my attention away. I am writing this because I was not able to elevate to higher forms of punishment, and honestly, I think their employment here needs to be reviewed. Submitted Evidence: Telecommunications message transcripts. Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [X] - Yes [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: I was the Captain on shift. Actions taken: They were charged with Slandering a head of staff. Additional Notes:

So.. is this an appeal or are you trying to contest the ban?

Note when I say killed, I mean you put them in Surgical hell and removed them from the round. It’s basically the same thing. -

Yes. You said "I'm not terribly of the mind to crack out my hand cannon, but I suspect there is no other choice." From the start of this you were jumping to using lethal weaponry against a dude that's unarmored. You also asked for the investigator to come to the armory, so "we can deal with this problem". Eleanor replies with "I am next to him currently" and then you reply with "I understand, but we cannot just wait for him to do something." So you were already actively wanting to use force on the guy without even talking to him first yourself. (From what I can see in the SCs supplied). During the gunfight, you fired 7 laser shots from a Security Laser Rifle, four of which hit him before he could even fire a shot at you with the Grapeshot revolver he had stowed in his satchel. Also, in the ticket, you didn't say anything about not wanting to deal with the HoS position. You just explained the situation above. Then followed up with - So yeah, it's extremely hard for me to believe that you did not want to just cap this guy and hope it wouldn't matter. You're clearly talking about not wanting to deal with the dude being a drug dealer who has contraband and being speedy. Not about wanting to play the role of HoS. You keep mentioning that he was "abusing mechanics". This isn't relevant. He was not abusing mechanics or a bug, he was using contraband that is accessible and in the game for people to use. To abuse something would be like using a locker to avoid your shots or a body bag to avoid shots. Abusing a bug would be to duplicate telecrystals or to use holographic penguins outside of the holodeck to catch stray shots. Using mechanics in a manner that is not intended is to abuse them. Using caffeine to their advantage? Not abuse of mechanics, so stop trying to cling to that reasoning. It's no different than using a combat hypospray from the uplink. Because this is bad command play. I hold command players to a high standard, and this is not meeting that standard. You have been around for a long, long time. You should know very well of what our standards are for command players. I am not trying to barrage you, I am simply telling you that you made a mistake and these are the consequences for it. You aren't a bad player and you aren't a bad person. You made a mistake. This is just the consequence of it. 1. Make contact. The IRU was talking to him and was not in danger, so put your vest that is provided to you in the locker on, and go talk with the guy to see what's up. The flashbang prevented you from this, but you still could have stopped him in the garden or wherever it was that they ended up and tried to de-escalate. You should not have fired the first shot. 2. Deputize people/open the crew armory. If you think the situation is bad enough to warrant lethal force for whatever reason and security is understaffed - then pursue other options that do not involve you frontlining. 3. Wait for them to do something that warrants you to get involved in the way you were here. @MattAtlas, the leader of our Command WL team says "if this guy wasnt shooting innocents then a captain shouldnt be dressing up in armour with a laser rifle to cap him". Your role is not only IC, but also OOC. We expect you to give antagonists some sort of leeway to get things done. The same way we expect AI players (also a WL role) to give antagonists a chance to develop and have some fun/interact with others. Just read the interviews on AI whitelists. 4. Let the IRU handle it, and if they ask for help because they get shot? Then it would make more sense to help. The truth of the matter here is that the antagonist did not fire a single shot, was hopped up on contraband drinks and had a gun that was only rumored to exist until being shown to the investigator, moments before the flashbang. You did not even attempt a non-lethal takedown of the antagonist with stuns or even rubbers/bean bags, you just shot them four times (you missed three shots). You blatantly murdered them. Because you killed them without any proper escalation and essentially frontlined as a Captain? Like one of the few things you are meant to NOT do? The investigator saw the gun from what I can tell with the logs, and reacted with a non-lethal attempt to subdue them. You still killed them for running. Stop trying to pin the blame on the investigator, YOU messed up. See above for why your WL was stripped. Peppermint does not single you out, we had a indepth discussion about all of this. You are not being singled out, you are not being victimized, stop trying to paint this like a personal attack on you. That's simply not what is happening right now. I do have evidence. As I presented above. I find it incredibly hard to believe that you did not intend to kill them, especially since you did not event attempt non-lethal force. You just straight up shot them with lethal force. The guy didn't even have armor on! See the photo below for proof of no armor. I have nothing else to really add. -

@Scheveningen - I am not handling this complaint but, as someone on Command WL team I figure I will chime in. The primary difference(s) between the two situations here is that - 1. This antagonist was hostile. He shot someone infront of the Pharmacist, and it looks like the Pharmacist told the Captain/Security what happened. This is fine for the Captain to get involved because someone was genuinely almost killed. This was backed up by the medical treatment that Coldsmith received. It isn't nearly the same as "hey he tried to sell guns", nor is it the same as someone going "I have a gun!" when it can very well be fake/not true. 2. The Antagonist had all-access and is an active threat which can be enough to consider code Red - by the codes definition. 3. Attempted Murder is an infraction that leads to HuT, Cyborgification, or Marooning. See the IC regs. "To kill someone, or attempt to kill someone, with premeditated malicious intent." 4. This is fine. They shot someone in the head. They're a confirmed, active gunman. Ultimately, if this was a ticket, it would have been deemed fine by myself because of the reasons above. With all of that in mind, this is not comparable to the situation you were in. You said that the Antagonist had shot the revolver at Eleanor. The logs show that that did not happen. You went off of hearsay. You armed yourself with a rifle and armor and killed the antagonist. You said in the ticket - You didn't want to deal with the antagonist or their gimmick so you killed the Antagonist. This is horrendous gameplay from a command member and it is one of the reasons why I moved to have your WL stripped as well. And in the situation you provided, the antagonist wasn't even killed, just apprehended. You straight up murdered someone because they were dealing drugs and ran fast. They only shot at you after you started shooting at them. Also, Peppermint is an active staff member who is online often and handles situations all the time. Just because they do not play the game as a character, doesn't mean they aren't actually active/playing the game. Observing as staff is still activity and has no reason to be seen otherwise. (I have no idea when the last time they played a character is, I do not play at the same times they do. But I do see them observe often.) Why? Admins are people too. We get to make jokes. I don't see how this can be taken negatively unless you're grasping at reasons to dislike the admin. See above. They are an admin who is trusted to uphold the rules and expectations. Furthermore, they came to the Command WL team - which they are on - and opened a discussion about it. This was a team decision, not just their own. Overall, Schev. I standby the decision to have your WL stripped. You killed an antagonist because you did not want to deal with them or their gimmick oocly. (As seen in your ticket). You overstepped entirely and removed a player from a round because you personally did not want to deal with it. You pushed for a conflict that probably did not need to happen. From what I saw, you did not even try to negotiate or offer a deal. You're a Captain. You shouldn't make it a goal to kill someone - especially if they haven't even hurt someone. As I said, it was horrendous of you to do, and entirely the opposite of what I expect from a command player. -

My only request is that the decks are shifted upwards a few tiles to incorporate more space for the decks. The couch being in a 2 tile wide area is going to be annoying to deal with. Aside from that, I love this and this will be such an awesome upgrade.
-
Tweaks will be made, for now the PR will be closed until I finish some alterations with everyone's feedback in mind.
-
The containment airlock now has no access requirements at all, but can be bolted down by someone who wants to do a "soft lock" as long as they have RnD (7) access. This means all of science staff can close it down if they want to. Of course, The Captain, a warrant from security, or the Director can remove this lock by simply pressing a button. It is similar to the Xenobio doors.
-
The issues that have been brought up are all relatively easy to fix. I will have changes/alterations up soon.
-
I like these changes. I’ll make this happen, while still having the other airlock in place in order to allow proper lockdown of the “Research Wing”
-
See above. moving a hallways entrance up and disconnecting it from the main square by a single airlock isn’t going to break the flow of traffic, it’s just going to redirect it. the maintenance tunnel will be tweaked, I’ll see what I can do.
-
The closed off design will not impact role play or exposure in anyway because Xenobot and Xenobio are already restricted areas. Exploratory chemistry is the only “loss” here, and it was to give them more space rather than the closet they’ve been working with. RnD is still easily accessible, and the department has their own lobby - similar to engineering, to encourage people to sit and hangout.

You're pretty new, which is not a reason to be disqualified from the possibility of a trial, but it does make me want to vet you a bit. Out of every attribute found in I would like you to think on it then list the best that describe you to the worst that describes you. 1. Being the best, and 8 being the worst. Also, of course - gather feedback. Good Luck! -
