This is my opinion as a player and should carry no weight from my admin status. In my experience with @LordPwner, I have never had a bad encounter. They are excellent at following the servers standard for Roleplay, they do great when it comes to representing specific lore and I have noticed that they do their best to remain up to date and thoroughly informed with current events. I enjoy playing with their characters, Uriel Evan’s, Zane Miller and Hope Are all excellent, well planned and executed characters- with different personalities and backstories. If I didn’t know who these people were played by, I never would have came to the conclusion that they are all creations from the applicant. I have nothing but faith that Pwner will not only add to the Tajaran experience, but also assist in growing healthy exposure to the species as a whole. +1

Alright, I've looked at the logs, and the explanation from Matt. Honestly, I think this is fine. If this had happened before the hostage/mess of an exchange, I'd see it entirely differently, but taking some shots at two armed and dangerous people with the hopes of causing them harm or to prevent them from getting away... After they had tried to kill the CMO, I can see the justification. He did not hunt you down afterwards, from what I can tell. If he did, then I'd have an issue with it, but it sounds like he just shot you then ran away. Cheesy and annoying, but not in violation of the rules. Does this give you some closure, @Evandorf?

I do not, unfortunately. This is still extremely lore breaking. The stasis imperfections? Not possible because he wouldn't have been frozen for long enough for such a thing to happen. Coalition of colonies is fine but he cannot be from 2249. Military doctor? Sure, Solarian military or maybe some CoC doctor, but that project does not exist and is too lore-breaking/melding to be considered allowable. Essentially everything after him being from the Coalition of Colonies and an ex-Officer (doctors would be Officers in most militaries) is still too.. "Main Character" - esque, and breaks immersion. I recommend the following. Ben Donitz - Solarian, 40+, Surgeon that holds a degree in some sort of specified field. Neurosurgery or Cardiothoracic for example. Maybe he defected after the initial attempt on Biesels independence, and actually immigrated after Frost was repelled like siiiix years ago? And has been working for Zheng-hu ever since. Ultimately, you can have a unique background- but it has to conform to our lore. You can have some "quirks" that are solely RP based, but they all have to conform to the lore we have on the server. Without this standard, we'd have 6'8 two year old vat grown Amazonian women with the brain power of the oldest Skrell imaginable. Make a character that has room to grow, on the Horizon. Give yourself a foundation, but do not over saturate them or their personality, so you may make an actual footprint on the servers community and current lore when the time comes. Does this make sense?

Alright. you need to read the full rules. Your character as of right now is in violation of several. Read the lore, and read the rules. I appreciate your attempt at being creative, but you need to build a basic foundation of our lore and rules before you can do something like this.

I appreciate the time you took to make this complaint, however due to some other behaviors that happened in the following round- I banned the player permanently. I'll be closing this, thank you.

@kyres1 @WickedCybs Alb and I have searched the given logs, and we both conclude that while the actions and tone present come off as rude and in bad faith, Kyres does stop after being told to, and ultimately does not seem to have any actual malicious intent. Clearly, this is just the use of the Dead Channel to vent their frustration, and while this is not necessarily okay- we do not see any reason to take any major administrative action against Kyres. Instead, a note for a paper trail will be made. Kyres, stop venting so much in deadchat and take your frustrations somewhere else, like the forums. This should also be done in a constructive way, so if you do continue to do it in the dead chat- you need to be more constructive, less sarcastic and overall nicer with the tone.
