I want to have this as a profile pic, but it's too big, can someone explain to me ways to shrink it to a acceptable level? (in detail please.)

Rogue AIs can hack IPC, robots, APCs, machines, even other AIs, yet it cannot hack DRONES. Now you may be saying that drones can't do much when they turn rogue, and to that I have a quick story to tell. (skip the paragraph below if you don't need explaining why drones are a good tool) I was emagged as a drone and overall ended up disabling T-coms for most of round, yet once I got back to my master he got attacked by the HoS and a officer, I attacked them both but they ended up killing him, under the basis of "revenge" I killed the HoS, and then I got the officer, who they tried to clone 3 times but each time I killed him. Then I went around attacking people who tried to kill me and tried to hold people hostage to clone my master, overall I killed 2-3 people after that and then died due to low power. That was just ONE drone, and it caused the station to panic and lose communications, and I could have done much more if told to. Now that my ego is satisfied the question of if drones are a good tool or not is out of the way, back to suggestion. A traitor can use drones to kill VIPs, sabotage vital parts of station, and generally cause chaos, and they cannot be shut down or re-synced via console. I recommend having the AI be able to hack a drone for very little processing power (they are simple machines) and have it be given a special set of laws that forces it to do anything the AI wants it to do, as well as the plasma cutter that E-magged drones get. Unlike the E-mag, the hack drones can be shut down or re-synced back into their original laws via the drone console, so the AI has to use them wisely. Drones are also very fragile and can be disabled with a simple ID swipe by a roboticist. Overall it makes no sense that the AI would not employ drones in it's goals, and it allows ghosts to help spice up the round when they die. The crew can easily stop the drones by using a drone console and shutting down the fabricators.

Counter counter COUNTER suggestion, put a NPC clown in there so people get the chills when they pass by and it spams "HONK"

yeah, there were rounds when I would step out of the airlock and 10 consecutive space winds would assault all the miners. It got so bad they tried blaming me for it since every-time I walked into their field of view it began. RNJesus hates miners, so this is a must.

I just imagined Ian with the HoP uniform with the HoP saying "Please direct all job transfer requests to Ian".......I love it. But the animals would just drop the cigarette. +1

Robotics at least can help SOMEWHAT in science, what could it possibly offer engineering? Robotics requires alot of space as well, and if its at sublevel makes it harder for cargo and robots to get there, as robotics is one of the main consumers of cargo products, making it so they have to get a engineer or someone with engineering access to enter. This just seems to me just a way for people who main chemistry or xenobio to have a massive lab like robotics does at main level. It is confusing to me that the fact it "builds robuts" makes it similar to engineering, when it is WAY more similar to medical in terms of repairing synthetics and modifying organics via surgery. If they really want robotics moved it would have to be awkwardly placed in medical sublevel. In conclusion, this suggestion would just make robotics hard to access and put in a department that can not contribute to their field of work in any way besides materials, which RnD gives robotics anyways.

That is one example, and a rare one at that. I was in one round were a spiderling got into research sub-level and make like 50 more spiders before we found them. That was also the moment when antags started attacking, and it was only 3 officers..... Although I do admit me and the others doing a "final stand" against a army of spiders was fun, it just shows why some pests should be killed on sight.

EDIT: the multi-stamp suggestion was changed, it is something that can change between approved or denied, but if emagged/hacked it can do Head of staff stamps, to allow clerical bots to be, to put it bluntly, useful as they could technically fake captain authorization for cyborgification or other forms.

Well if security had to go to court every time someone did a crime processing would be WAY more than time punished most of the time, overall if you believe that security arrested you illegally file a incident report.
-
I know that it can help game play, but its a pain in the ass for security to just get ONE, as the second one is seen, two things happen: A: You are in sword range and you get robusted B: ninja cloaks and runs away. If there were two it would be chaos.

Well, all I see is that this isn't more of rev and more of a "Cult War", I don't see anything that involves improving rev game mode or changing it, if anything it is a change to cult gamemode.

Rev round, its problems, and possible solutions.

Another idea is that the head revs and loys get to fake ONE centcom announcement, I had this happen before where the head revs worked together to attempt to fake that cloning is banned, while the a head loy botched it by making a purposely bad fake announcement. That same round all the engineers won't do their job and even turned off gravity, so before I cryo'd, (yeah yeah boo me, but RL stuff popped up), I had engineers threated by centcom with pay cut and arrest. -

You would be surprised how fun it is to do the blindly following orders thing, one rev round as a head loy, I was a Security Officer and converted the HoS and Warden, while the other got the HoP and others, the rev leader, who was also a sec officer, would try to have people join while I attempted otherwise, causing funny debates where the poor bastard we were trying to convince would usually just run away, but I am getting sidetracked.... Ok, so head rev failed a assassination attempt on me when HoS saw it (it was outside sec lobby) and we hunted her down, she was detained, then something interesting happened.....the HoP took the body and called the entire crew to holodeck. We all went of course, and the HoP, once everyone sat down, make a speech then blasted the rev's head away. Everyone was petrified, and me, the HoS, and Lukas immediately planned to "deal with" the HoP and his officer escort. We all confront in the HoP office, and it was a standoff of two factions of Loyalists, one with me as Head loy, and the other one with HoP being the figurehead with the head loy chaplain recruiting for them. After we attempted to arrest the HoP, he fired the first shot and the HoP office became a bloody battleground, I managed to get HoP into crit before I went down and eventually died. Overall it was awesome being a loyalist civil war unfold all over the station. In summary, many of those things you call "uninteresting" can be the highlight of the round, you could be a heartless Warden who has no care for criminal scum, or a loyal security officer who would not hesitate to commit some crimes to forward NT's goals.

First off, you can disable a cam without triggering a cam alarm, so you get more time (at least util they see it on camera list) Second off, that will mean that the AI with it's (mostly) all-seeing eye would likely crash the second it goes over the area you just did, as it sees whatever the cameras see. The AI crashes enough as is and a area that is overlapped by other cams but one looping could crash it when the two areas intersect.

Ok then, I am fine if Head of staff stamps are not usable by Clerical modules, but at least all the bot accepted and denied stamps, as you shouldn't need a emag to do so. I am more interested in the other suggestions in this topic approved, like command channel.

[Denied] ben10083's Head of Staff Application
ben10083 replied to ben10083's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Thanks to the response, I needed that, I will try to refine my roleplay skills, its just hard with my ooc desire to "win" which causes me to be bossy, although Bob Jones is kinda supposed to be, maybe I will change it, as for the name thing, I just suck at naming and the fact I have 3 names with "Bob" was humorous to me. -
At the present time the Clerical module gives the cyborgs paper, a grabber for paper, crowbar, a denied stamp, and maybe one or two other things. This bot can be useful in certain departments, but the one it is in ruins it's potential. I propose the following things: Give Clerical bot command radio channel instead of service channel At present time it gets only service department radio, which gives you only HoP, captain, janitor, hydroponic personnel, chef, bartender, and janitor. Besides HoP and Captain, the others have NO use for the robot, so I propose that clerical bot is given command radio instead, as command staff are MUCH more likely to use it than service department. Give Clerical bot ID gripper A Clerical bot is basically a secretary, able to work at a office while others do the more....exciting tasks. I propose a ID gripper so the Clerical bot can use ID console or ATM and other things, the HoP would likely be the person who utilizes the Clerical bot the most, so it should be able to help the HoP more. Give Clerical bot more stamps At the present time the Clerical bot gets ONE stamp, a denied stamp, and THATS when its emagged. LOOK OUT HE HAS A STAMP!I recommend having the ability to have a stamp module that can toggle between denied or approved (or head of staff when emagged) to allow the clerical bot to do more with paperwork besides holding it and writing on it. Give Clerical bot a portable fax machine Allows Clerical bots to fax papers to centcom or other command staff, robots cant access fax machine since it needs a ID card. Command staff will not be forced to meet up with the bot everytime they want to collect paperwork. This will also allow the Clerical bot to give papers to anyplace that has a requests console. Remove variations of Clerical module. There are too many variations and/or the variations are not specified, causing confusion as some have a handlabeler, some don't, and etc. It will be easier to have Clerical module have at least their variations labeled or just the same modules for every bot selection. conclusion The Clerical bot is a bot that has poor tools and the wrong radio channel, and these ideas can help make Clerical bot MUCH more useful.

I would love to see this, and maybe allow virology to cure infected.

Yeah this will help mining get organized, it is annoying to try to find a full locker when you spawn late as miner.

This idea will also stop people constantly asking the status of order.

[2 dismissals; Archive: 30.10.2017].Provide a bodyguard for the merchant
ben10083 replied to alexpkeaton's topic in Archive
Unless it's a pretty big gun you know how to use properly, and there is no defense against a knowledgeable and robust player besides being more robust than them. Pretty much the only answer you're gonna get here to the query you posed. Yeah lets face it a robust merchant with a weapon has terrifying as a laser Gatling gun would be a threat to even mercs let alone a cultist. Also I still think this is just being proposed so there are more of a chance to at least work with or BE the merchant. -

ben10083 replied to alexpkeaton's topic in Archive
If Merchant is so worried about getting raided by the antags then he can get a bigger gun, they can even get a Gatling lasers so getting a weapon that is better than the pistol you get while also being able to hold of antags is easy. -
No station account has more than 10k from what I can tell, so station will quickly go broke. Maybe a better idea is to make Solars more effective at providing power, and allow engineering to make more solar panels easily.

Yeah bodyguard isn't needed if the merchant felt they needed one they wouldn't even BE there!
