  1. I'm going to address the one specific point that I know the most about. I can't give my opinion on the salt in LOOC or OOC, or his behavior on Discord. I do witness him in round enough to call out the claim he "sits around and waits for antags." I spend a lot of rounds playing on station when Carmichael is around. Most of them are as Security, but there's times when I'm a character I know for a fact Amory has no clue is me. He has never once denied my unknown characters roleplay if initiated with, even if he is in the middle of chasing someone down. When I play my more well known ones, it takes minimal effort to pull him into dialog. There's a clear inner-working to the character that Amory is trying to convey, and people tend to get very upset if they don't get it. Daniel's a bit.... off. Well, not mentally, but he's not the social butterfly. He won't start up a conversation unless he knows you really well. The sheer amount of people like this in real life is astonishing. And you might be wondering how that comes into play. It means you will see him sitting there quietly doing his job, or watching cameras. (Which, I'd like to point out, sec gets ordered to do a lot on code green. I gripe about it constantly.) You will see him wait, because Daniel's not very sociable and won't go out and try to make friends. He does patrol, and he does talk on the Security radio. In fact, Amory lately has been RPing Daniel with some sort of stomach ache (dunno the reason ICly). I believe this is his attempt at going AFK for a moment. We're all human. It's hard to tell when he's just being silent Daniel or he's gone off for a private break, but that doesn't mean he's just "sitting around, waiting to valid salad the antags." There's absolutely no real way to prove this other than "yeah, I totally saw his character sit in a chair for fifteen minutes, talking on the radio, and just waiting for the antag to arrive.". I sit around for fifteen minutes, talking on the radio and I've never been called out for "waiting on an antag". Are bartenders "waiting on an antag" when they stand at the bar, silently, waiting for something to go on at the bar? It's a very hard claim to prove, and one that falls a bit flat. Like I said, I cannot vouch for any of the rest of the complaints. I believe that private messages between two people can't cross into a player complaint. I wouldn't pull my own disagreements with players from my private chats into the Aurora forums. Aurora cannot police what people do off their server. Period. They can discourage the two players from speaking and put a sort of hold against the players while on Aurora moderated platforms (discord, game, forums etc etc). If you believe someone might about to chew you out on Discord, inform them "I don't wish to discuss this here. Please handle it in a publicarea." and block or ignore them. It's what I do. I enjoy taking the higher road in things. Was he salty in LOOC? yes. An ahelp should have been made and I'm sure the mods on at the time would have been more than willing to handle it. You may have valid complaints about the validhunting (I don't know, I am neutral on that due to lack of knowledge.) and about his hostility in Aurora moderated Discord chats/LOOC/OOC. But, as someone who plays more than they should, first point is a little startling to see in a complaint. And Rose, yes, Daniels character does have IC reasoning to start to dislike Willow. So that gets tossed out a bit.
  2. +1 II've actually RP'd with this person before, on a different server, and not realized it until it was brought to my attention. Once I pieced it together, I realized I knew them fairly well. So, as far as their RP on Aurora goes... it's great. The character knows how to interact well. They aren't big trouble makers. They know the in's and outs of the bureaucracy that is Command (I've dealt with them as my HoP several times.) They know when to cut up and be relaxed. All around, it's a solid character who knows their stuff. Their RP's pretty consistent too. I've never seen issues from them before... and that goes for the time on Aurora as well as time away from the Aurora.
  3. I asked them why their character did what they did and Resi responded. I had seen most of the Medical issue with my own eyes. With the HoS shooting the Ninja randomly with a shotgun, to half of Security down with their feet missing, I didn't see it as a "valid hunt" or any other means. If I'm wrong, then I am wrong and I can accept that graciously.
  4. I spoke with Resi on why Fernando did it and they explained that all the officers around them were in "orange" or "pain" health. (They have a healthHUD, so that's how they saw the officers were hurt and dying). Fernando decided to try and keep everyone alive and went with his gut by putting them to sleep. I've seen Fernando's character a lot, and that sort of action from that character doesn't sway from how they respond to situations, or act. The ninja from this round was cutting peoples legs off, murdering multiple crew members (including some heads of staff), and went to into Medbay at the end to (I assume) heal themselves. Security was getting hammered the whole round. So I didn't see it as that big of an issue since it didn't sway from Resi's CMO's character design, and the officers around them were in a decent amount of pain.
  5. I *think* this question was skipped? And im not sure if that was on purpose of what, but I can say from personal experience, Dayaja is a good person to RP with (dont remember Andy Quinn too much), and I trust their player with a whitelist. The app itself seems fine, +1. Well crap, you'd be right. LOL I'll fix it now.
  6. BYOND key:SatinsPrist666 Character names:Dayaja Quinn, Andy Quinn How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Since February Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?:I've played a Head of Personnel on several other servers and it's my favorite job on station Why did you come to Aurora?: Roleplay and a friend told me it wasn't half bad. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Of course Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is about creating a story with other people. You're goal is to play a character that can both interact with the environment around them and give content back to the community. Roleplayers should never break character or "fourth Walls", so to speak. You immerse yourself in the game around you and set out for a round as your character. Actions should be "What would my character do, based on their personality" and not "Oh Imma valid this guy until his skull caves in because he stole my comb". What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: It depends on the Head of Staff. Each one has their own job and that job is very specific to what they *should* be doing. In general, heads are meant to control their department in a way that allows creative freedom of their staff *and*organizes the chaos that can insure with someone in charge. They know when to push, when to pull and when to step away. They require leadership and charisma. Some examples: Captains are meant to lead the station into greatness and cope with them through tough times. They rally up the heads and are generally the man (or woman) you look up to when times get rough. They know when to step back and let people do their own job. Head of Personnel isn't just the head of Civilian jobs. They're there to make sure your department is well staffed. They won't step on another heads toes, but they can try to support the crew in terms of moral. Efficiency is key with them. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: Whitelisted players are suppose to help the round run efficiently. Head jobs are fairly important in game, so it's up to the whitelisted players to make sure the tone isn't broken by being highly incompetent at a job that is needed for the round to go as planned. Furthermore, heads get to see a lot more players than regulars, so they can help new people fit into the server though RP (and maybe a few LOOC tips on game mechanics), or ahelp about someone that just isn't working out. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name:Poppy Jamison-Johnson Character age: 35 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Poppy Amelia Jamison was born in Phoenixport City to a single unknown mother on June 21st. She was placed up for adoption before her birth by her mother in a hope she'd have a happier life with an actual family. The family that chose Poppy was a lovely married couple and their four adopted children. Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson couldn't have children so over the course of their marriage they raised and adopted children from their city. Poppy was the last to be adopted and she grew up chasing after her older brothers as they walked the piers in the city. She had a fairly average childhood with tutors in music theory, mathematics, gymnastics and dance. She was a member of the debate team in her high school and this lead to her interest in public relations. She graduated high school with a relatively decent GPA and went straight into college to take classes in Management and OAD. Graduating with her double major (bachlors), Poppy found a job at a Phoenixport tourist center where became the Resource Director. She would hire new people into the job and evaluate their skills in order to place them in the best job within the company. She stayed at this job for ten years before deciding she wanted better pay. What do you like about this character?: She's calm and collected, but rather cheerful. In general, Poppy is someone that likes to get to know the crew on a personal level because she feels it will help her help them more efficiently. Her general "down-to-Earth" nature makes her easy to talk to and she's not one to step on anyone's toes. What do you dislike about this character?: Every character has their flaws and Poppy is no exception. She can be very argumentative if someone presents a debate to her about a topic she is currently invested in. This stems from her high school debate course. She tends voice her opinion, often. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Poppy has years of training in public relations, Human Resource management and office administration. She is calm, rational and enjoys connecting with those that work around her. She can successfully manage and sort her payroll staff well. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: I'm unsure if I should be the one to rate my roleplay. I'd like to believe it is above average. I've been complimented on my skills multiple times. I've been roleplaying in the ss13 community since 2012 and I feel like I know my way well around the topic. Extra notes:
  7. +1 Fresh has shown fantastic roleplay since I first saw their character, Erin. They add flavor and fun to the round and know how to properly behave when it comes to rules. Solid player.
  8. Name: Gabriel Autumnmour Species:Human Age: 29 Date of Hire: 3/10/2460 Job Title: Chaplain Preferred Contact Info: PDA 45-531252
  9. As a sec main, I get to RP quite a bit with their Wolfe character. Lone has the RP standard to handle a head job. I can see them playing a head position easily. They know the game mechanics. They know what's expected of him. He handles character interaction like a charm. They're not the type of person to abuse this sort of thing. ICly, Wolfe can handle this promotion. He's a very calm, well prepared person. He's got his moments, but that's what makes the character come to life. Everyone has their off days. Overall, he can run a security department. I've seen him step-up ICly and practically do that anyways during times of need. I give him 9 out of 10 satin sheets.
  10. 2016 was the year I took my hiatus. I believe it was also the year Hollowstone went down. (Don't quote me on that. My memory of 2016 is pretty foggy.) It's possible I logged on to see if I was willing to give another a s erver a try. I don't remember that at all though. February of this year is when I actually started playing and getting involved with the community. As for the AFK note, I was never informed I had a note (which is sometimes typical so that's not a problem.) It's possible something happened with my kid and I had to rush off really fast. That's not typical for me, so I apologize on it.

SatinsPristOTD#8435 Age: 26 Timezone: CST (Alabama) When are you on Aurora?: 7am-9pm if needed. How long have you played SS13?: I started playing in 2012. I took a two year hiatus and came back. How long have you played on Aurora: Since February. How much do you know about SS13 (Baystation build) game mechanics?: Quite a bit. I've played on only Baybuild servers. Do you have any experience moderating for an SS13 server?: Yes, I was a Mod and Admin (Game Master actually) for Hypatia Station, and I was a host for my own server (Hollowstone) Have you ever been banned, and if so, how long and why?: I've never been banned on Aurora, to my knowledge. I tend to keep my nose clean. Why do you play SS13?: Roleplay. I love to create characters and push them through their lives, watching them grow. I play D&D with a group of friends strictly for the RP. They call me the "no damage mage". Why do you play on Aurora?: I've been around the block (so to speak) with RP servers. They all had cliques and mediocre RP. Rules were terrible. Admins were ridiculous. Aurora hasn't shown any of that to me. It's above the standard in terms of how smooth it is. What do moderators do?: You're the helping hand they need when they're boxed into a corner and don't know the next step is. I rely on mod's for IC questions, questions regarding rules and clarification. Sometimes people are brand new to ss13 and they really need help. What does it mean to be a moderator for our server?: It's less about rule enforcement, and more about teaching, guiding and being helpful. Why do you want to be a moderator?: I enjoy helping people. I play the round just like everyone else, and I know ss13 has a big learning curve. Teaching others how to do things (be it mechanics or rulings) helps enrich the round. What qualities do you possess that would make you a good moderator?: I'm a mother, first and foremost. I talk about my child all the time and it's because she's taught me a lot of valuable life lessons (and gave me some good qualities.) I'm not calling people children, but some of the qualities I've gained are exactly what moderators need. I've developed compassion, patience and soothing tones and I know how to break them out when needed. How well do you handle stress, anger, or insults?: Insults don't bother me. And the stress of moderating a ss13 server has nothing on regular day to day life. In some way, it's relaxing. I don't tend to get angry anymore. I feel very mellow in my old age. Other's anger is just part of the process. I work retail. If I can handle not punching a customer in the face in real life, keyboard anger from someone who feels justified in their actions isn't going to effect me either. Calm them down and try to see things from their point of view. Getting angry or upset with them won't make the situation any better. Anything Else You Want to Add: (Do not put words here)
  12. I forgot to post feedback when this was first posted, but I'm here now! I've RP'd with Shadow for... four? Five years? It's been a long time. Character-wise: His characters are very fun to be around. He RP's well. The characters are fleshed-out and don't deviate from their "flow" (so to speak). Shadow knows how to portray his vision through well-done (and sometimes absolutely hilarious) RolePlay. Shadow as an RP'er: I have never met someone that can pop wit back to me in RP as well as he does. He knows how to RP smoothly. He's got a sense of humor on him. It can be a little dark. It can be a little dry. But he knows how to reign it in when he needs to. Most of the time, that sass helps push out some fantastic roleplay. IPC Ability?: I've seen his AI. It's fantastic and one of my favorites.
  13. Sure! I'll remake it in three weeks. That's perfectly fine with me! I'm sorry about not replying sooner. It's "hell week" at work.
  14. I figured as much! I did it mostly as a preliminary action. Ergo: A way to show interest for the foreseeable future. Thanks!

Anything Else You Want to Add: (Do not put words here) (I feel like I'm eon's away in terms of the admin I was on hypatia vs. the person I am now. Hypatia did teach me a lot, and some of it wasn't good. It took years to break the bad habits, but what's left is someone who can handle herself well and handle others well. I'm not perfect. No one is, but I'd like to think I've still got what it takes to do this. I rose through my ranks on Hypatia rather quickly. I ran that server by myself for an entire summer during greytide as a moderator. That was a true test of my patience. I've dealt with everything from the Kitty Liberation Federation, to over-Hyped Nanotrasen Elder RP'd characters. That's a story for some other time, but it is a highly amusing one.)
