  1. *shrug* I like it. Our pop's not been THAT low to completely shut this down. I've seen a manifest of like 4 people MAYBE.... three times? Happens around the 8am CST time. If your pop's at four people then... well.... antag gimmicks aren't going to be all that great anyways. +1.Gamemodes needs better balance and this isn't a bad fix.
  2. I'd divorce my husband to marry this new overhaul TBH.
  3. Actually, fast acting is a better effect of drugs acting with one another. If Dermaline is focusing hard on healing the tissue rapidly, Kelo can be left to slowly repair the damaged scar tissue. It doesn't matter "What's going on behind the scenes in the code." What matters is how it's portrayed and how it's used for RP. We both know SS13's code is more than a little... you know... special. The end result is Chemistry making a medication that co-exists with it's predecessor in order to make a better drug. It's like aspirin being used as the main ingredient in BC headache powders. It's mixed with one other chemical (caffeine) and the medicine works faster/stronger for headaches. Your argument that Dermaline can't co-exist with kelotane because Derma is made from Kelo doesn't really... add up. Not when you look at modern medicine and really take a peek at the chemical makeup of what's inside. Medicines are made with other medicines, and we sometimes use both at the same time because that ONE additive can change a specific part of the "first" drug and we need ALL the effects.
  4. Drug synergy and how they are calculated out to achieve a greater effect together is used in modern day chemistry. There are numerous studies out there that show two anti-depressants together will have a better effect over the person than just the one prescription. We can RP KeloDerm as being a drug synergy, or even an enhanced synergy simply because the outcome has a partial greater outcome than the "weaker" drug. In reality, one's not that much weaker than the other. You trade time for effectiveness. Changing KeloDerm simply because you see it as a "bug" doesn't make sense, when there's an easy explanation for why the two drugs develop a greater outcome. Why they have synergy. While today's drug synergy may still be a bit iffy when you get deep into the study, it's no stretch of the imagination 2460 would give way to Chemists understanding the way these two drugs interact with one another. In laymen terms: A doctor may prescribe you three blood thinners if you are at high risk for a heart attack. Why three if they all thin the blood? They all have slightly different outcomes on how they thin the blood. Why take Kelotane and Dermaline at the same time? They both treat burns. One does it slowly and heals less, but you could argue that Kelotane heals in a slightly different way than Dermaline. Perhaps Kelotane slowly dissolves scar tissue while Dermaline rapidly heals, leaving behind an ugly internal scar. if anything, Chemistry is lacking reaction symptoms, not the KeloDerm argument.
  5. I would love to have Avacyn's holo image look the way Avacyn looks in the character setup. yes PLEASE.
  6. Blackwing for pencil. Uni-Ball Jetstream for pen. Faber-Castell makes a really nice mechanical pencil as well.
  7. Yes, we're hRP, but it's also a game. Heavy roleplay doesn't mean "You have to RP out even the most mundane of life because if you don't, then you aren't RPing properly." Heavy RolePlay means you imphasize how well your character interacts to situations during the round. How your character develops background, lore, relationships and character traits. it's not "Oh, 30mins have passed. joe needs to drink water." Applying such mundane life tasks to, what is literally a game, doesn't benefit anyone. Even in D&D, a game you could argue has helped shaped the hRP community, you don't have forced mechanics. Your Dungeon Master may, after a session, tell you it's a good time to grab food and water, but you aren't strictly bogged down during that session from thirst or hunger (unless your DM is a CE asshole). I've gone against the ridiculous "starvation" code multiple times within the past month, and gave reason why it doesn't make sense. Thirst, I GUESS, can be easier to explain, but even still... you aren't going to dehydrate to the extent your body is trying to compensate for the loss in less than a day. It's a mechanic to nerf players, hunger is. You need balance in the game, so I'm willing to overlook some of it's flaws. Thirst mechanics just... don't need to be added. Doxx is entirely right. People don't need something to remind them to grab drinks. The bar gets plenty of action. Soda machines get used. I've even used the water cooler in Security. You need to have more trust in the community to RP, and not try to force us to do things we are already doing. Half of these suggested IR's have been kinda insulting, if I'm honest. We don't need code to tell us to do things that we already do, collectively, as a server. Those that add to rounds, those that actually RP out the comfort of their character, are the ones who get punished by "mechanic enforced" real-life code. You adding some code to "enforce RP on people who aren't RPing" isn't actually getting them to RP. They aren't going to, even with this code. It's just another mechanic to them. You're so wrapped up in making things realistic as possible. We have wizards. A singularity that can be used to create energy (and in the grand scheme of things, not a lot of energy). We have cloning. We have working hypnosis. We have food that is cooked in less than 15 seconds. The point is, this game isn't realistic. We add realism through how our characters respond and act. Not by drinking a glass of water. Nerfing the ridiculous hunger code and just adding a thirst mechanic doesn't really fix anything. It doesn't add RP. It's just another brick in the wall.
  8. if the second waiting room is such an issue (which, IMHO it isn't It reminds me of a lobby for the psychiatrist ward. It could easily be scaled down for that.).. Anyways, if it's such a big issue, move cloning and the temp morgue to equipment storage. Move the main floor equipment storage to old cloning/morgue and make a second medical office where some of that lobby is. Some CMO's... not naming names... like to do fitness and evaluation RP. Having one office slows that down to damn near impossible. Plus, it kinda makes sense for a medical unit to have multiple medical offices. It helps the flow of cloning. That'd make it near the ward, near a cryo pod and makes it easier to move bodies to forensics for autopsies (if the FT can perform such.) A secondary office could help Medbay enforce some better RP on extended or slow rounds (something that needs to be done, instead of just sitting around in a lobby fixing booboos. You'd be surprised at the amount of people who come in for medical chair RP if it's opened up.) It's never made sense to me to put such great Scientific advancement in a corner, practically a broom closet, and forget it exists. You can argue morals. We're a research station.
  9. Or make the Library smaller, Burger. Because honestly? Outside of using it for cult crap and the occasional "herp derp she's in the adult section".... it doesn't get used enough to warrant that amount of space on an expensive station.
  10. Preston is slowly becoming one of my favorites on station, and it isn't because of his "troupe." I actually developed a bit more respect for him during that wizard round where he thought he only had 3 days to live. I didn't expect Preston to have a backstory that interesting, and it was so subtle yet well played off that I'm kinda excited to see where that goes. He's, from what I get, shallow on the surface, but rather deep on the inside. I'd like to see it as Preston's defense mechanism. He acts a little conceited and aloof on the outside to kinda shadow off who he is on the inside. It's a common thing people do, and it's not one we see done a lot on the Aurora. Whether this is the players intent is beyond me. So, he's a character you actually HAVE to build a relationship with to see the full potential of him. It's realistic, and people are quick to judge a book by it's cover if the cover isn't giant flashing lights describing what it's about. This is what makes Preston realistic, IMHO. yes, he has a gimmick. Everyone gets so salty over the "blue rose" or "snowflake" concept, but I'd like to point out that making a character different from others, and yet is still highly plausible doesn't make him a blue rose. Everyone's unique. Everyone has a talent, a trait, a hobby, a job, a family and a crap ton of fears. So, from the outside, he's a cool dude that likes his looks a little too much and can be wrote off as a gimmick. Actually sitting down with him and managing to get Preston to open up reveals he's got some actual lore behind him, and it's worth the hassle to dig out. Constructive criticism? I'm not one to actually tell someone their character concept is flawed (unless your name is Big Mama and you're a "fat African American cook" who uses piss poor southern ghetto slang and just gives me piles thinking about it. Yes, this existed. Yes, it made me salty). . I don't see it as my place, because I know for a FACT that my characters need work, Just like everyone elses. He gets a +1.
  11. Changing the food we can bring in our lunchbox makes no RP sense, and we're a hRP server. Sorry. IRL, My husband packs his lunch for work and there IS a kitchen/food vendor there... It's all about the value of what's in the lunchbox and how the food is prepped. I have characters that pack their lunch because they have certain RP'd food allergies and don't want to make a big deal of it with the chef (burdening someone.) On another note, what is in the lunchbox will NOT, and I repeat, NOT cover your ass for the solid 2 hour round. Especially if you play a role that has you active a lot. You'll eat your lunch at like the hour mark, then have to go to a vendor/chef for the 1.5 mark. So that gets a -1 for the simple fact it makes no sense to remove lunchboxes. As for making the vendors have less food, sure! Makes sense to me. I use to work at a place that the only option for food WAS vending machines that only got stocked on Monday. Come Friday, we were packing lunch, or eating the unwanted crap from the vendor. So that gets a +1. Also, who the hell is starving in an 8hr work shift? Have ya'll actually fatigued yourself out from not eating for eight hours (Without a medical condition)? I'm being serious. The "you haven't ate this shift, thus you suffer big time" mentality going on is really amusing and does not actually make sense in a hRP setting. It's a work shift, not a full week of work. Grab a big breakfast before work, skip lunch, come home to dinner. So many people do this, and they aren't keeling over from some "exhaustion and fatigue."
  12. Yeah, the oven's timer is a little ridiculous. We always vent about how mechanics need to be "believable yet still manageable for the player" The oven is neither. It works like a pressure cooker on crack.
  13. Medical Student would be a FANTASTIC "beginner" position in Medbay. Learning hands-on is something they do, even for CNA's and CMA's. They usually train on themselves, but a medical student going to the Aurora for some hands-on training would make a lot of sense! And it carries with it the exact treatment a "beginner" would require. Doctors, Residents and even Surgeons could take a student under their wing and have them sit-in during treatment/surgery. They can teach them simple tasks and use the process as a learning experience. Now, of course they can't do that during emergencies. Hospitals today don't just go 'Oh, you're missing your hand. Let me take the time to teach my student.".... BUTTTTTT the student can still be in the room to watch, learn, and even assist by grabbing things for the doctor/surgeon during the emergency. (Which brings up the topic of the old Medbay where there WAS an "observation" room to the surgery units and how doctors would sit in to watch the procedure occur. I miss that, a lot!) Residents are, in a nutshell, doctors. They're newbie doctors, but they have finished school and are getting their feet wet. As a CMO, I've let my resident do Kois removal surgery because it was an emergency, he knew the procedure, and I was unavailable for the immediate extraction that was needed. The resident was successful (and did this during a radiation storm too!). Not only did it boost the confidence of that character, it made the player feel pretty good about themselves too. I always ask what my residents are trained in. If there's something they don't know, I offer to teach them, hands-on, when the time comes. But some of the stuff is so simple.... a RESIDENT should know it. Yesterday, I offered to teach a resident how to do a simple physical. To me, that's just something a resident should know. If it had been a student doctor, that scene would have made much more sense. Student doctors would be almost a staple in the surgical theater, not for hands-on training, but observation. Surgeons would then have something else to do other than "Click this guy with my hemostat and wait wait wait.". They would have the ability to RP out a rather boring ass situation. Chemists and Pharmacists could take the time to explain the nitty gritty details of their medications. Metabolism rates, overdose rates. What neutralizes another medication. etc etc. I had a c-section with my first child. Three student doctors were in the surgery room watching the procedure take place. It wasn't an emergency c-section and they learned quite a bit since my c-section had to be done in a different way than most. There are, of course, some guidelines the student would have to follow, where as the resident wouldn't have to Examples? A student cannot diagnose a patient. A doctor must confirm the students stated diagnosis. They would be HIGHLY encouraged to give their opinion on what the issue is. They can also treat this diagnosis under the supervision of a doctor or resident. A student cannot prescribe medication to a patient. A doctor must confirm their SUGGESTION. Once again, they'd be highly encouraged to give their opinion. They can give the medication to the patient, and even tell them how to take care of themselves outside the medical unit under the supervision of a doctor, chemist, or resident. A student doctor would not know how to clone, however, they can be shown how to properly handle a patient that needs to be cloned, and can be taught the cloning procedure. A student doctor shouldn't make notes on a patients record without the express approval of a doctor. ---- Sounds like a lot, but those would really help define what the difference between a resident and a doctor is. A resident can do all of that. The resident just needs to be checked in on from time to time by the CMO. This differs from a regular doctor because a doctor doesn't need their hand held, or a performance evaluation. If anything, the resident has a lot on their plate and it's their time to prove themselves to the Medical unit. A resident is a stepping stone (and more importantly an RP element) to becoming an independent doctor aboard the N.S.S Aurora. You know your stuff, you're just green and it's up to the experienced staff of Medbay to checking on what you're doing and make sure you're remembering your education. Residents can be tasked with blood drives, physicals, basic patient treatment, basic surgery (if they're trained as a surgical intern or have the education behind it. Whatever it may be.). A resident should expect their CMO to monitor their behavior. At the same time, a CMO needs to let their resident get the opportunity to prove themselves.
  14. I don't know how to forum quote things, so bear with me: Uhhh... No. No military or government would even begin to think 40 year old plans would be good to use in a fast paced, space age such as this. That's the worst kind of loophole you can write yourself. If it was using 40 year old equipment... then that's fine. We use old equipment today and it works out perfectly well. As I stated in one of my points, having every fleet stripped from the defense boarder and run straight for Earth wouldn't have just been labeled as a "bad idea". It would have been a mockery of any of the lore you've wrote out for the Sol Military and Marines themselves. That kind of.... asinine action is what I expect to read from some kind of Onion article. It's simply not a military action that any semi-intelligent government would even think about doing. The best of the best would be sent, while the "reserves" would hold the defense line. Governments don't put all their eggs in one basket. You failed to mention why places wouldn't have ANY sort of defense. Saturn and Jupiter don't have any Planetary Defense? They have no police force or National Guard there? Even the Aurora has an ISD with Carbines and laser rifles. I would expect Jupiter and Saturn to carry a few BSA's. If the Odin can, they surely can. If the Sol government was that unstable, they'd have collapsed without a pirate force somehow getting through poorly wrote "net holes" in a defense system that logically wouldn't have been totally abandoned. Earth is Humanitys homeland. It should (and theoretically would) already have enough defense around it. Furthermore, three entire fleets booking it to save 1000 lives just *doesn't* make sense. I think you fail to realize how big of a system you've created in your own lore. We've got a..... disconnection in our lore's reality. You seem to think the fleet is so small protecting Earth that they'd bring vessels from the Oort cloud to help protect it. In reality, Earth would be gone by the time they got there, and the military isn't dumb enough to not realize that. They're also not stupid enough to retreat their own defense and implode themselves. You also seem to think it makes any sort of sense for admirals to yeet off into space after a group of people that is less than the population of a rural Alabama city. When you've wrote a lore that specifies how large something is, you have to make casualties reflect that. 1000 people ain't shit to worry about and not enough to weaken the defense of Sol even more. Those admirals have military training. They aren't some Quartermaster smuchk with a boner for being the "hero" they need but don't want.
  15. I've talked about the most recent Sol lore with several people, and it's been unsettling to some of us. In all honesty, it feels like either someone isn't fully aware on how deep the Military rabbit defense hole goes, or they're deliberately pushing lore into the system without actually worrying about immersion. (Which is the POINT of a lore team. If you can't keep up with immersions, then you're missing a key point.) So I've got a few issues, and Pwner did a decent job of pointing some of them out. Let's discuss Planetary Defense in 2018 and how it would change rapidly over time (in 2460.) We are already developing ways on taking down large space debris that could effect Earth in a negative manner. It is by no stretch of the mind that we will be militarizing this system come 2460. In fact, the USA is already discussing a SpaceForce system, which will become our next military branch. Somehow these pirates managed to get past the Sol defense (I'll go into that in my next point), dock at these planets/stations/outposts, and kidnap people while Sol is under the guise that a Lii'dra ship is headed to Earth. Why were these places not on code red, lockdown, with military defense systems ready to aim? Sol believes the Lii'dra are about to attack. System-wide systems wouldn't be that difficult to send a message stating "Code red, lock everyone down." In terms of planets, systems such as the Aegis (or whatever we'll call that in 2460) would be armed and ready to take down any force that isn't planned to dock. A "no flying" ordinance would be put out (like with 9/11. We GROUND all planes. We'd easily force shuttles to turn back or force dock at the nearest port and prepare for immediate search). There is absolutely no way a government of Sol's size would go "Oh no! The Lii'dra are coming! Don't arm our planetary/station defenses! Don't put us in a gridlock!". They'd be worried about covering their assets, and as much as this lore team would like to tell us workers aren't an asset, they are. Sol would immediately try and protect it's workforce from any sort attack, be it a fake Lii'dra, or an unexpected pirate invasion. Let's go into what sort of defense would exist on these planets. Anti-spacecraft/aircraft/missile launches aside, these planets/stations/outposts would most certainly have some sort of defense to them. Planets would have a national guard, a reserve or something stationed there. A police force would be enlisted there. A militia of armed citizens could potentially be weaponized by these forces. As for outposts, you're telling me Luna, with the Zeng Hu facility, has no sense of protection from invaders like PIRATES?! How about this "holes in our defense near the Oort cloud" excuse we just read in the article? Speaking to someone who's in the military, it makes no sense for Sol's government to act like a 3rd world country and not change up it's patrol patterns in 35 years. That's insane and it shows that whomever thought that up really doesn't understand how and why the military acts. If the defense was that weak, Sol would have been invaded 15-20 years ago. It's not that hard to map patterns and it doesn't take 35 years to do it. In fact, it makes no sense for the Sol military to have these same patrol patterns after the first Lii'dra attack on the Aurora. Do you think governments don't change up their military tactics when a large force attacks another country? They see what went wrong and immediately look at their own defense and figure out how to strengthen it. Let's use the argument that they were focused on this Lii'dra false tracker. Militaries don't uproot every single defense unit they have to track down one invader. You can't do that. One got through. You have to watch the boarders in case more come. You tighten DOWN on defense. You do not weaken it. In fact, the best way to handle that attack would have been to pull the planetary defense systems and have them do the (stated above) no flight gridlock. You take no precautions. Anything that doesn't IMMEDIATELY port at the nearest port gets taken down. If you are in a state of panic and outright war, you will take military actions. You would not throw your hands in the air and go "Well, let's see how this pans out.". If that Lii'dra ship can't be found and you're fumbling trying to track it, then you have to focus on what you can see. the best way to handle blindspots is to use what you have at hand to fill in the gaps. The sol government isn't that spongebob meme where the filing cabinets are on fire and they're in a solid state of panic. What is with the Sol fleets disobeying orders and going on rogue manhunts? One happened in 2459 with Frost and the 33rd. Now we have the 1st, 7th, and 11th going off for like.. 1000 people? leaving Sol even more defenseless? After what happened with Frost, the Sol Marines would be shoved so far up the military ass, they'd be breathing the same air. It makes no sense for that sort of action to take place a mear year after the Frost incident. It also doesn't make sense for THREE ENTIRE FLEETS to abandon their home for 1000 people. Sol has a population of BILLIONS. LITERAL BILLIONS. 1000 people is a drop in the hat, and even sane people today would say the defense of the women and children at HOME is more important than those 1000. So we've talked about why it makes no sense for the pirates to get into the Sol government, right after a "false"tracker for a Lii'dra ship was sent in. Let's discuss docking and ports in the Sol Government. treaties may allow for "free travel" into the Sol government, but I highly doubt they let anyone onto their planets without some sort of docking code. You can't just have ships randomly dock at a planet/station and let them walk around freely. "Free travel" is a lot like what it is with America. Our boarders are open and you are more than welcome to visit if you have a visa/passport. This idea that these pirates managed to dock at planets/stations that should have a defense system, and do so unchecked? Makes no sense. Especially for the Sol system, which has proven to be a bit xenophobic. If you've wrote lore that makes it sound like any ship can fly through the Oort cloud/warp zone and just dock as they please at any planet/station then...... you need to reevaluate what a treaty really means and how that makes sense for a government to even agree to. Now, this needs to be made clear:... I would love to see the Sol government knocked down a few pegs. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS HAPPEN. But I want it done in a way that logically makes sense and isn't forcing lore onto us that just doesn't fit with the way the Sol nation has been wrote out to be. To me, it feels like you wrote yourself into a hole by making the Sol gov't the way it is, and you're trying to balance it out. That would work, if you weren't doing it with pirates and weird.... disgustingly bad military tactics. The way to take Sol down needs to be done the way it was brought up. You need an attack on it that is equal.
  16. Richter becoming a HoS might get me back into Security. I love this character, and Xor's got some good RP behind Sean. Xor himself is well suited for a Command role. I'd +1 this.
  17. Epipens with epinephrin. Reverses the "closed windpipe/severe hives/ symptom of many allergies. Make allergies give oxy damage if they're labeled severe due to *see above*. Hives could be added and treated with ointment. Itchiness, sneezing etc etc could be treated with benadryl. Epinephrin drug would be added to chemistry. Fexofenadine would be a better drug than Diphenhydramine at work because Fex doesn't cause much drowsiness. This would be added as well.
  18. BYOND Key: SatinsPrist666 Game ID: Many rounds this happened over so.... One specific one can't be gave Player Byond Key: hemshire (spelling may be off) Staff involved: I asked Alb over a ticket in game if a complaint should be filed. They said to go ahead, since it would be a lot to look in to over just one round. Reason for complaint: Character development and the De-canonization of something that had been built up over a reasonable amount of server time. Niko Palmero was a cadet aboard the N.S.S Aurora. Niko developed a lot of cannon interactions between not just security staff, but some Command staff as well. My Captain has seen them as a cadet, as well as my officer and chemist. Last night (or night before last, I have a bad memory), Palmero came on as Warden and not cadet. I'm totally chill if there's a reasonable RP reason why a cadet would immediately go to warden. Maybe that's what they were trained to do! Cool, as long as they have the education behind it. That... wasn't the case with Palmero. Hem stated in ooc (that very round he joined as warden) that because they hadn't joined any cannon rounds, Palmero's cadetship wasn't cannon, and thus he could be a warden. (what even is a cannon round on Aurora? Cannon event rounds? Extended? unsure what they meant in the first place!) That's... not how Aurora's cannon system works. Now, people decannonize things about their characters all the time, but to completely wipe out something that broad and influential is quite a step and should have been told to everyone that interacted with that character. Someone asked them ICly how they went from cadet to Warden and their response was "I haven't been a cadet for 5 years". Hold on. That... completely pushes 5 years of lore onto those that interacted with them (and aren't clued in to Hem decannoning their time as a cadet on the Aurora.) Furthermore, Niko developed a lot of character to character relationships (both private and co-worker) while he was a cadet. It's very strange to just do this without taking into consideration all the other people you've interacted with. Now, Niko is his character, and he's more than welcome to fiddle with his timeline/cannon/interactions as much as he wants, but I feel like he should have made a better effort to inform people OOCly about the change to his character. Now we're stuck with characters that know him as a cadet, but are unsure how to treat him ICly. (As an old friend from 5 years ago? As a new co-worker? What's going on here?). It messes with everyone elses cannon, and I feel like they should have taken more time to prep people for this big change in a character that's already somewhat made a name for themselves in the department. Did you attempt to adminhelp the issue at the time? If so, what was the known action taken by administration/moderation? Yes, but Hem wasn't on when I made the ticket regarding the incident(s) Approximate Date/Time: Ehh... all this week and some of last week, mostly evening rounds (CST time)
  19. We don't really know, nor can we prove, if all the equipment was taken. It shouldn't have been if it had. I remember ICly being told that they couldn't do surgery due to the equipment being stolen. We've got conflicting reports and.... you can't really prove either side. So.... with that being said.... maybe we can just all take from this that removing every bit of surgical equipment is a bad idea and shouldn't be done. No one gets blamed, and the problem is still addressed.
  20. But you chased after him man with that gun in your hand. I watched you do it. You can say that, sure. but.... Look at things a bit more creatively than the weapon in your reach. You have every ability to not only catch him, but get in a little hostage torture (or mental trauma at least). Anything outside the box. This whole round was "let's steal stuff". Something seen a million times over. You didn't bother trying to create a story, and that janitor was the PERFECT platter handed to you. Instead, you opted to shoot at him. Congratulations. As bland as the 50,000 other heisters.
  21. So he did actually do something? Because from my perspective, he ran down the hallway and you fired off at him, and only stopped because Ada stepped in and told you not to. Also, a lit bottle of vodka isn't going to hurt you in that rig you were wearing. Prioritize dude. Capture the man. Beat him. Make him pay for coming after you. But don't just go "derp, unarmed janitor now. I can shoot him and kill him and that's chill" Put some EFFORT into your antag mate.
  22. Right, I wasn't Security this round (thank Christ for that), but I did get to witness two things that /really/ salted my butter. 1)Raiding medbay of the surgical tools. We all know why those were taken. You can sit here and claim otherwise, sure, but fact remains that scalpels cost pennies to buy and make, and surgical saws aren't actually wanted on any sort of black market. You took them to openly keep Medbay from fixing any fractures/bones/IB that may have been caused that round from the inevitable fight that happens on a merc round. That was a straight dick move. Thankfully, it didn't hinder us too much, but you need to be reminded that your job is to promote a story and make it a fun round. We don't have to win. Hell, I'd graciously accept an ass beating (and I have a lot of times as Gracie) if the story and plot is there to make it good. Randomly handicapping Medbay like that didn't push any plot. It didn't make any sort of sense. 2)Willow Harper being taken hostage. I have NO issue with her being taken hostage. Thank Christ some sort of player/antag interaction was finally happening. I'm also thankful you didn't straight up just murder me for standing there. My issue is what happened right AFTER she was handcuffed. This poor, unsuspecting, UNARMED Janitor walked down the hallway and went smack into the scene where the mercs were kidnapping Harper right in front of my character Quinn. One of you (and I need an admin to check logs to confirm which one it was) decided to use the poor man as target practice for literally no reason? Like none at all? He had no RP between the mercs. He wasn't going to harm you. He showed no intent on valid'ing ya'll. but he got shot at. I THINk Kyres stepped in ICly after that idiot merc just randomly started shooting at that janitor. Know why I have an issue with this? You're. Meant. To. Push. A. Plot. And. Roleplay. With. The. Crew. Randomly shooting at an unarmed janitor because you think it makes you look like some kind of cool edgelord ICly isn't a good antag action, and you should really be ashamed at that level of "RP' (or lack there off. I really kinda feel bad for that player during that moment.) The whole round lacked..... substance. It lacked Roleplay. The saving grace you had was Ada.
  23. I'm not willing to make two separate threads for my two main characters. It would clutter the forums with an unnecessary thread. So I'd like feedback on my idiot Engineer Andy Quinn and my equally idiotic Sec officer Gracie Fitzgerald. Also, if you'd like to throw shade at Poppy Jamison-Johnson here, feel free.
  24. Just clarifying for records (in case this is needed to be looked at deeply) The detective was Fabe Dante The officer who was a hostage was Gracie Fitzgerald.
