So I was on the round at the time. I’m only going to post on this once because I’m not about to get majorly involved in another one of these things. But I’m just gona throw this out there. Didn’t space get a warning(and that memo get created) for this exact behavior? Like, for screaming unrealistic racism over coms….that’s why space was handled oocly and the memo was created…right. Even if you have a background reason to scream “fuck the catbeats” (as space said he did) it’s still poor enough rp and violates the don’t be a dick rule to enough of an extent to justify an OOC complaint. *shrugs* if this is to be handled ICly (because I do understand that as a possibility) then I think whatever heads involved that thought it’s ok for lyar to scream “fuck cats” should also have action taken against them. This is extremely reminiscent and almost an exact repeat of adler where lyar is screaming unrealistic racism and the heads think it’s ok. Meowy you should expect the same action that happened to adler. Whether it’s handled Icly or oocly I do think it should be actually handled and stopped because it did have a negative effect on several of the players at the time. In the end meowy, you know this has been an extremely hot button issue on both sides lately. Had this not been such an issue so recently I doubt people would be as sore as they are right now. I think you can pull off an uncle ruckus but as you said this time it might have gone too far considering the recent events. *poofs never to reply to the complaint again*

Um yes can we make this a thing? Of all departments security are the ones that have the most ability to make a round very bad for any other player. Although calling security shit because they are doing their job is a problem, a lot of the problem also stems from when security just stun cuffs and does whatever the fuck they want. Whitelists will help insure at least half the problem is resolved.

I agree. Spent an entire round saving people from xeno maddness just for ot to suddenly end from holofire. Though i dont think we should just outright get ride of it. I wouldn't m8nd seeing other simulations and whta not. But not something that pretty much demends an emidiate evac

The power of the zealots is theoretically risen in relation to the power of the cultists. They can only get their special awesome weapons if the cult is spawning their own; before any big action by the cult, it's just them trying to earnestly save the souls of the heretics. Ideally allowing cultists to be murdered before they are proven to be hopeless is contrary to the goals of Space Jesus or [insert deity here]. But yes Cult has a hard time. I think this idea, combined with the development going on for Cult over in Bay (once it's finished) would make Cult an extremely valuable and entertaining game mode. That actually makes a lot of since balancing wise. I would like to see an IC reason to treat priests more reasonably. This puts forth great mechanics in the game but it will still be pretty useless if the community/security always writes off cults/wizards as impossibilities and assumes the priest is always talking crazy. Maybe a lore change allowing for some knowledge of cults/wizards and magic? There’s plenty of lores that have magic side by side of science to various degrees (hell the marvel and DC universe do it all the time pretty successfully). I dono what it could be, But I do think we need something to encourage security and scientists to believe in the priests more readily. If we don’t find something to encourage belief in spirits/magic among a station dedicated to science this mechanic change, as awesome as it is, won’t be that useful. *edit* for an example. I imagine a common rp is going to be. Priest: "let me see the weapon I can bless it to actually fight this cult" security: "um...no we're not giving a crazy spirit nut a weapon" Thus defeating the point of this awesome change.

Woah would love to see this happen. I think the details need to be hammered out for balance rasons. Cult already has a hard enough time dealing with just the crew let alone zelots. But still i love the idea of the chaplin having more to do in rp and would like to see something like this fit.

I really like how my comments are completely ignored (scratch that France payed attention). You guys are acting like I did this in the middle of the round. I was the only one to stay behind and the round had ended. The 60 second restart was announced. Why is this a problem? I’m waiting for an admin to make a judgement on this complaint before I continue this dialog least it devolve into retardation like the last one did.

Wow I can’t believe this is a thing. Like, do I really need to take time to defend this? *sighs* fine, to start fact check, safi stayed behind because she wanted to save lives, she was the only doctor that stayed behind and ended up saving three or four people. She did it because medical was secured and she told an engineer to bring all the dead and dieing to her so she can save them. She did it because she cared more about her friends and crew than her own life. So that explains why she stuck around, and no she didn’t stick around cause she wasn’t concerned about the fire. The logs don’t show a lot of the real rp I did during this time and I was in serious RP all the way up until the shuttle left and reached odin. Rasul was cloned after the shuttle had already left the station and everyone was on odin. Hell, the message popped up saying the server was restarting on 60 seconds. That’s when I stopped being super serious RP and took a moment to breath. The round was over, the only reason the silliness continued was because the admins delayed the round end for 35 mins. So we sat around with nothing to do while waiting for the admins to restart the server at any moment. *sighs* so there you have it. The round was over, it literally didn’t matter as long as we didn’t create attack logs. And if you want to argue that we should maintain serious rp all the way till round end then explain to me why a DO can do this “ I showed everyone the complaints department on the odin, and emagged the doors because I was too lazy to spawn as a DSO”. We don’t take the end of round that seriously and that’s what this is. meow I can see your complaint if this was in the middle of the round or if the shuttle hadn’t left yet, I would happily take this criticism if that was the case. But come on, this was the end of the round and we were sitting around waiting for the admins to restart the server. *edit* Like of all the sillyness I've seen done by countless other players countless other times while at odin...this is what gets the complaint?

Im not for the removal of cats in command. Im also not for limiting other races. But i do want to know lore wise how do we justify unathi being in command and cats cant. Considering half of unathi is also trying to fight humans and they are just as distrusted. It appears to be an ooc bias if they are allowed to remain in command.

on a side note, lore wise, if cats are being removed from command how do we couple unathi in comand. whom i understand is considered just as much of a risk/subjugated class as the taj if not more so? lore wise how does it make since?

Tenenza I see what your attempting to do and I do appreciate the gesture. However I am far past being civil in this discussion. I started off civil, I tried being pleasant and explain why this is a retarded complaint. To which my explanation was disregarded and I’m told I shouldn’t have done something so grievous such as speak siikmass on coms. Despite the fact that we were dealing with a level of racism so retarded that it ruined the round for almost every science cat. But no, me and furst get the warning. I also really like how, only me and furst get the warning. Like you do realize I was next to furst almost the entire round. I had no reason to speak to him in siikmass over coms. We were talking to both sirrra and Neb and they were disregarding the basic over coms rule too. I /really/ like how that’s ignored….whatever jackboot… To answer your question (because even when I’m trying to be unpleasant I’m still pleasant enough to answer). The only thing I’ve learned from this entire thing of retardation is how to handle issues like chaz. If the racism is reasonable and realistic I will pursue IC resolution such as reporting to security, IA, IC reports. I came to that conclusion well before this fuckery. As for siikmass on coms, I will continue as I always have. Safi is one of the most passive cats on the server, if I’m requested to stop siikmass over coms she will give a response along the lines of “oh okay she sorry!”; /Unless/ I am dealing with a level of retarded racism that is so unrealistically retarded and the player is being such a tremendous dick and a bad roleplayer that it just ruins the round. At that point, if it continues as it did here, I’ll be submitting another ooc complaint and including any retarded fucking head that seems to think it’s reasonable to let the coms be blasted with “fuck the cats” all day long (looking at you baka). The memo supports this action. Also as hive said no one was fucking threatened or clawed by a cat(though at that point we had every right to do so). No the only retarded threats came from the unbelievably unrealistic and bad role play from the racist. So I don’t know where baka is coming with: Safi didn’t threaten anyone that round, she rarely ever does. And if I had, given the context, it would be fine.

As for the captain...i was given a warning because i told a person like that to go away and ignored demands.. Because apparently thats to much sass for that sort of treatment.....*sighs* Ohh, right, that might be refering to me... That time, the chef was being racist, so the tajaran denied them their order, one they needed to /work/ in the kitchen. Denying someone their work supplies for being rude is something a Captain can't condone in game. So, I ordered the create delivered, then sent an Officer to warn both parties for it to not happen again. As far as I'm aware, the issue was settled, as no further issues reached my ear. If it persisted, I would've had the chef penalized properly. However, what I do not remember doing, is saying "Filthy catbeasts" at any point during that round. No the comment i made wasn’t referencing you. The situation you just painted i would find quite lovey and a decent ic way to interact with racism. Im just moaning about my complaint because literally the frist words out of the guys mouth was "fuck the cat beasts" that went on coms for a good hour. When i was told not to speak in cat on coms i said"what im talking about isn't your business". I got a ooc warning for too much sass but the constant spam of fuck the cats is totally cool. So yeah thats why im pretty discontent about playing taj right now. If i say one little thing ill get a warning. But retarded racism is totally cool. Sure its my choice to play taj but How is that fun? No one is going to want to play a xeno in that sort of environment. Because you are right, the way you rp should have consequences, and when I’m met with shit rp that forces me to fight, the shitters should be punished. FYI the situation that you find so hard to believe, they attacked me first, you can read the damn complaint in the history on the forums. As I said, theres a reason admins cleared my aggression.
