I don’t want this to drag out and most of this is experiences from my charaters that I have with yours (we’ve had a lot more than crane and travis). I already said my primary thoughts however one thing I will point out. Letting someone do their job is /not/ pandering to everyone. If you don’t understand the difference between pandering to peoples random requests and letting someone do their job in relative comfort so they can enjoy the round then surely you don’t meet the qualifications for whitelist.

I highly doubt it would have been handled or even noted had I not made such a ruckus, and I am generally surprised to see it actually handled IC this way. This is still obvious whitelist abuse and the fact that it had to be handled entails that. Handling it ICly is an interesting way to handle this. Garn, shuting down the use of an entire lab for the sake of saying no majorly hampers any interesting rp that player could possibly have. At the time I had no AI and no other head to send to command so my options where to sit at an empty bar and have lovely (not) empty bar rp.

No baka, because tajara (unless they are whitelisted) can’t shut down an entire persons round by calling them an ape. This became an ooc issue when the player abused his whitelist to shut down a players game under the guise of racism. The racism is not the actual issue here.

Look at who’s backing this complaint, they are all cats, they are all going to be effected by this captain. The only ones defending him don’t have any stake because they will not feel the results of his actions. Do you see maybe we’re not making this up since its felt by all cat kind.

Now let’s take a raise of hands of how many xenos are going to have an unfun time rping with this damn captain. Geneticists have ways of saving the powers and quickly and easily clearing their body of said powers in the event they can't leave the lab with powers. Its annoying yes and added work but reasonable given the character chaz chose to play. Garna you are saying you can’t do anything with genetics outside of the lab. What is the point in getting the powers if the only thing you can do is literally sit in a tiny box with no one else. Also the only way to quickly clean any of this is to massively dose yourself with radiation which has a good potential of breaking limbs and knocking you out. So if I get the desire to walk out of my lab for a second I have to deal with that because a captain just wants to be a dick? No, it is not easy to clear the body as you suggest.

Chaz has Ooc obligations and responsibilities as a white listed player to encourage fun and interesting role play situations for the crew. Having an ic reason to behave the way he does, doesn’t exempt his responsibility as a whitelisted player. He played a great racist character, but he broke a big rule for whitelisted players and that is to encourage not hamper the enjoyment for other players in the round. If he wants to play a racist character that is fine, but don’t let him do it in a position where he can affect so many so negatively by avoiding responsibly of making this a fun atmosphere. Shh, I'm working on that suggestion. so i do like the idea of some people coming in with powers however i think this should be a side thing. I mean if only one person has powers and they die/cryo/dont want to be in research thats gona leave the genitists with nothing to do. And lets face it its gona be rare for someone to want to be stuck in the genitcis lab so someone else can do their job. If this is the only way to research powers its gonna end up being the genitists will have nothing to do way more often then not. So i think its a cool idea and a great way to develop powers faster if the stars align, but it should not be the core of genetics.
