So I am not tempted to play, (YOU REALIZE HOW HARD IT IS TO STAY AWAY FROM YOU AWESOME PEOPLE?) I have requested to be temporarily banned. However, I am still here on the forums. PM me and stuff, okay? I'm keeping in touch.

I'm done. Goodbye. *walks out the door* ... *turns around and comes back in* OK. Do-over! Woo~ I need to take care of a lot of personal, real-life stress. Voiding me going into a personal sob-story, my life is a mess; and 2D spessmen takes up too much of my time. I need to put a stopper on myself from playing this game. I need to get my life sorted out, and back together. I have spent too long procrastinating. I have no qualms with anyone; please understand this is something I have to do, for myself. I do not know when (or even if) I will come back. I'm sorry about getting up and leaving so sudden, and not tying up loose ends and whatnot. But if I did so I'm going to drag out my good-bye. So please, forgive me for this. I will not lie: I'm going to miss you guys. All the good times and memories and stories. And I really, /really/ hate leaving like this, but I need to do it. I don't want anyone to worry about me (Not like any of you care~ 3). I'm a big girl - I'll be fine. I'll make it through. But this is going to be my good-bye for...a pretty long while. Anyhoooow, I'm sleep deprived and high on caffiene, so I better do this before I realize what the heck I just did. ... ...I'm gonna regret this in the morning. P.S. You guys are great. Seriously. This community, the hard work of admins, developers, mods, lore writers, and every other person out there - awesome. Thank you all for being so awesome, and spending time with me. Hasta la vista.

((This is weird....what happened to my posts with Shadow?))

Can't do, sorry. Reason is because one of these days, I will bring Karima's older brother to the station as a cargo tech. Karima's immediate family is off-limits. :/ However, Uthal can be a cousin. Ziva's family isn't the only Mo'Taki. Sorry to take so long to reply to this. Could he instead be Nida and Rahat's cousin? Making Uthal's Father Majid's Brother, their for Hadiya and Majid would be Unthal's Uncle and Auntie. Not sure what that would make him to Karima, probably a distant cousin. He would be in his late 30s possibly older. I will redo his backstory but I thought I better sort out where he sits in the family first. This would place him in line as uncle to the rest, and any kids he would have, would be 'second cousin' to Karima, Ziva, etc. Currently, all aunts/uncles/mothers/fathers sit at an age of 50. Majid is deceased, and Hadiya is a very old M'Sai Tajara - grandmother to current Mo'Taki. So Uthal's father would need to be a lot younger for 30 year old uncle Uthal to fit - father would probably the youngest in that immediate family. This can work, certainly. Tavaku, the oldest in the bloodline, is 29 and Lulu is only five. That's a 24 year old age gap...so 20 years wouldn't be too far fetched. He could be a 30 year old uncle. Eh, I like it. The age is close enough to current Mo'Taki. I'll give my +1, and wait to see what others have. Edit: Oh wait, I misread that...late 30s. The thing I'm iffy about is I don't want a family hierarchy to develop among the Mo'Taki. I really want all of em to be of equal say and equal grounds. "You can't boss me, I'm older" - is something I do wanna avoid.

Can we take global warming into consideration, and change the landmasses, if that's not too muck to ask? -
I love IAM. I like any android that possesses a sense of sentience that I can ICly pick at as KArima. >:3 But really, he's great, wish I had more chance to interact with him.

I WANT TO SAY. Screw it all. Thank you for being such awesome. Because. Really. No, I mean it. So many people set aside their time and effort to make Aurora awesome. And it really is. No other server I've witnessed (granted, I don't visit other servers that much..) can really hold a candle to Aurora standards. The mods that put in their time to banhammer griefers, the admins that work hard to make events fun and keep mechanics fixed, the lore writers to come up with entrenching stories...everything. So again. Thank you. To everyone and all.

Wow. All my wows. How long did that take? XD

Quite a good point. Engineers are a 'rough and tumble' group, with their self-induced 'heroes of thy station fixer uppers.' But what is the level of robustness deemed acceptable for engineers? If the situation merits, I think ANY sane person will try and arm themselves in self-defense. But it doesn't start happening until chaos breaks loose. The most powergamey thing I have ever witnessed of engineers, is to charge at the AI core during malf rounds. And my coworker hunting carp. And my Atmos Tech fireaxing spiders. But, uh...well,it would help if engineers are a bit more accepting that they aren't all that immortal?

((Shadow is wearing a suit, yes. It promotes mobility over armor, so it's not big and bulky. And sorry for not making it clear - it was her drones that helped her scale the wall, not shadow herself.))
-
Shadow moved around the holograms in front of her. "First mission in field, ShyGuy?" She asked, spinning a hologram of one of her drones, checking its systems. "Is okay. He talks like he knows how to plan." She pulled up several possible blueprints of several ships. "Is a military ship, so it may still have defense systems active. We might be able to hack in and turn to our use...but we do need to find what kind of ship it is." She looked up. "Any Intel?"
-
I am shocked and appalled by people who are putting 'Cult' (AKA worst game mode) in their top categories. You people should be ashamed.
-
Shadow smiled. "Hello Matrix. She can set up a compatibility network with Matrix, and Shadow's own systems. Meet her drones, Vila and Vola." Upon uttering their names, the drones around her arm and shoulder detached from her suit, one skittering to the floor, the other snaking around her arm to rest on her chair's backrest. Shadow opened the box on her lap, and a holographic screen projected out from it. She moved her hand over the holograms, downloading important intel into her drones. "Shadow's gear is custom-designed, so there is no uplink. However, she has plenty time to make one for the mission."

Dude, Chris. I totally, TOTALLY agree. And I will happily volunteer to assist in giving ideas and info for a solid SOP. Security needs to be whipped back into shape. -
Complaint - Terrence Frank and Jane-Luc Pick
NebulaFlare posted a topic in Complaints Boards Archive
BYOND Key: NebulaFlare Player Byond Key: CDB, Bobbyswagger Staff involved: (Not ahelped, no staff involved. Reason for complaint: Originally wrote it up as an incident report, because it felt more like an IC issue at most. Since Antags can't write up those, I'm going to copy-paste what I had there to here: Skull's edit: I yanked the OOC bit out of the IC bit and put it here. Enjoy. Simply put, I was the wizard. I entered with the story that I'm a tajara wizard searching for a ninja, and admins provided a spawn in to assist with arpee. Instead of getting to have fun to showdown with the ninja, or speak with tajara about how far they had come, two people, Terrence Frank and Jane-Luc Pick were constantly hounding me to serve time after I defended myself from hostile crew who did not keep their distance after repeated warnings. After awhile I agreed to serve time in exchange for help to hunt down the other hostile, but I refused to hand over my wizard gear. Since people were taking forever I left and went after the ninja myself. Security responded eventually by powergaming with stunbaton, using the straight jacket and muzzle, then leaving me in interrogation for the rest of the shift. Heck, I've only used my offensive spell on one count as a warning to back away from her, and all my other spells were defensive. Frank came in and even removed my earpiece, so that at times I was completely out of the round. Frank was even willing to leave me strait-jacket in the interrogation room after the shuttle was called, if Ryu'Daken didn't come over to let me go. That...is terribly powergaming overkill on a friendly wizard. Frank should never barge into security matters, EVER. and Jane-Luc Pick who I assume was a new player, should not be questioning a CMO's decision to promote an HOS to take a stand on the situation - Ryu, who was tajara and could provide fair judgement. You guys know me as being pretty easy-going to screw-ups and just shrugging it off, but after trying to make the round fun for everyone, then not getting my plans out of it and being powergamed against because I resisted powergaming in return...it killed the round for me. At any moment I could have, (and should have once they started chasing me with tasers) defend myself with projectiles. Clearly I gave too much of the benefit of the doubt. Reporting Personnel: Jishna The Seeker Rank of Reporting Personnel: Guardian Personnel Involved: Terrence Frank, Jane-Luc Pick, security personnel Time of Incident: ((5:00 PM PST 5-5-2015)) Location of Incident: Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [x]Neglect of Duty [x]Harassment [x]Assault [x]Misconduct [x]Other Being Naive Overview of the Incident: Greetings. This is Jishna The Seeker. She speaks through her familiar, C.A.C, allowing for translation. Allow her to start from the beginning... She is from the past, during a time when Tajaran Society had not yet been received by the task-makers, before the history and archives were forever lost. She is a guardian of the Temple of S'raandar. She pursued a thief into a portal, who had stolen the valuable artifact, the Snow Crystal. And thus, she appeared here, on their station called the NSS Aurora. Her presence was....not received well. The humans have shown distrust, hostility, and a severe lack of understanding. Too few assisted her in this foreign place. What she has observed from the leadership was disorder. Upon her arrival she defended herself from a possibly hostile crowd - apparantly she harmed an innocent, and she is apologetic for her actions and misunderstanding. However, this lead the individual Terrence Frank to harass and hound the leadership for Jishna's arrest, with little consideration of the outcomes. She can respect the protocol and rules, but was it truly a necessity when she, a visitor of the past seeking assistance, willing to help, and search out the true hostile of the station, be confined to a cell when she has shown NO threat to the crew aside from their imaginations and speculations, and is the only individual who can stand a chance against the one who brought her here, the true threat and intruder? Instead, she was captured, restrained, undignified. They surrounded her and stunned her, displaying a show of their naive lust for power. They disrobed her and took her belongings, sacred items that should not be handled, strait jacket and muzzled her, then left her in a dark room to be questioned, while the true enemy walked the halls freely. Are humans so blind and naive they lack understanding? So threatened and insecure they will jump at the first sign of something stronger than them? Terrence Frank, whom she believed was an advisor at best for such situations, has provoked unnecessary hostilities. He has permanently lost this company of NanoTrasen a potential ally, and denied an entire race the chance to regain a lost heritage. Such measures should be reprimanded. It is only by the understanding and kindness of the Tajara did she regain her dignity, and her power and belongings, and left the station to hunt down her quarry. The next time she is to board a station, she will have to defend herself accordingly, and give a proper reason for her distrust. They have made a dangerous enemy, and lost a possible ally. She has done nothing wrong short of defending herself...and they will reap the cost. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: Certainly not Additional notes: ((Simply put, I was the wizard.
