  1. Can we also get 2 buckets and more proximity sensors tossed into that lab?
  2. Huh. Now I'm wondering if I ever interacted with a SAM that wasn't Sam....
  3. I love this, and I know you'd be a great RPer. However, we wanna add members slowly. If Nano's app goes through, the three of us can review this one together for consideration after Nano has had a bit of time to settle in with Mo'Taki RP. Once that happens, then we can consider more.
  4. +1 I thought I posted here already!!! Woo Mo'Taki!!
  5. Since I play mostly a roboticist these days, I can vouch for this. At the very lease, please. REMOVE THOSE TINTED WINDOWS. They. Are. Awful. Maybe I'll do some interior decorating myself. Oooh! add some wallpaper here, wooden tiles there, polished desk here....and even a bonsai! Yes! ... Ok, how about a mechanical bonsai? Skull? Can we have bonsai? ....why am I still up?
  6. Yeaaaaaaah...........I can't really complain, since I'm being treated to the center of the arpee. But only if it's Karima and her close friends/family/nuke ops that partake in it. Anyone else gets pushed to the side. And honestly, with 4-5 attempted kidnappings, NT would probably move her and her clan to some very high-secured location and try to figure out what is it she's working on that has syndicates so intent on stealing. Or just terminate her contract. Although, I will say, sometimes I get tired of people trying to stick their nose in the Arpee and MAKE A MESS OF THINGS. I try not to do that with Karima... >.< meh. I'm tired. I probably shouldn't post stuff when I'm tired.
  7. They were distracted and I bolted. Hue. You're kidnapping a non-combatant. Nevermind if you point guns at a terrified researcher who doesn't know what in S'raandar's mercy is going on - she's gonna freeze up in total terror. I reaaaaally don't wanna give tips on how to succeed in a kidnapping, buuuuuuuuuut....well.... 1. You never cuffed her. 2. the minute you turned your back on her, she bolted. 3. you never pointed the guns at her - aka, targeting with a little circle marker. Karima is licenced in weaponry, within the restriction for research. Meaning she generally knows if a gun has the safety on or off, if it's being handled by a professional who means business, or if it's held by a rookie that can go off in misfire. Her knowledge of weaponry is all based on scientific knowledge - she can observe, but she very much likely cannot fight back. 4. Because you never targeted her, she gathered enough wits to send a very fast PDA message for help - once the initial shock had passed. If she was targeted, she would never have risked it. (because she would get shot the moment she touched her PDA) 5. Those guns were set to lethal, while trying to take a live hostage. The knowledge that lethals are being used, is enough to scare the target to 'fight or flight' the moment the opportunity arrived. 6. I actually got away a lot of the times by hiding in closets when I hit dead ends. the whimpering on the radio, mostly because there was a nuke ops walking past her hiding place. 7. you gave her a nuke-op suit, which at first, I thought was very clever. BUT. You never activated the camera. I found this out when I accidentally activated it myself. It could have saved you a lot of trouble in locating her. 8. She is not stupid. She is not rambo. She is terrified. and a kidnapee will do a lot of things that a kidnapper does not want them to do. Basically the only thing that worked in your favor was that you didn't give Karima an O2 tank, so she couldn't EVA and hide out in space. >.< =========== Oh. And. Ehm. Another thing. Although this is purely for Karima and not just generic hostage. (Why I am explaining this I do not know...gyah. The amount of times Karima has escaped kidnapping is far too often to just be based on lucky flukes.) It doesn't really matter if you take a hostage.. Not when she is surrounded by security personnel carrying weapons and guarding her. She will go and give up all fighting when there are much more capable people to make decisions. Uaekis told her to stay, she stayed. Issa said get on the shuttle, she gets on the shuttle. Why? Because she /knows/ they are trained in what they do. Better than her. She will not listen to people that are not trained, nor people who have failed to be reliable in her eyes. That means she won't listen to her coworkers that are freaking out and yelling at her to go to arrivals/bar/etc. She listens to those trained to do their jobs.
  8. Noteworthy? What do you mean? There's Ziva's hereditary heart disease, but many members of the Mo'Taki were spared of that gene.
  9. Soooooooo.......Rose might have converted the Satanic chaplain. Might have. ==== Feros Corilius yells, "Greetings!" Feros Corilius asks, "Would you like to discuss the benefits of Satanism?" Rose Watson asks, "The benefits of what-a-what?" Feros Corilius takes off the cake hat. Feros Corilius shouts, "Satanism!" Feros Corilius asks, "Did I stutter?" Feros Corilius says, "Excuse my stuttering." Rose Watson says, "Uh -yeaaaah...no thanks. I got my own religion." Feros Corilius asks, "What religion would that be?" Rose Watson says, "I'm a follower of Dodekatheon." Feros Corilius asks, "A dodecockawatchawhatnow?" Rose Watson says, "....yeah." Feros Corilius says, "That's" Feros Corilius asks, "What's that?" Feros Corilius says, "Please, explain this religion to me." Rose Watson says, "Well.." Feros Corilius says, "It is my duty to not grasp full understanding of any religion that exists in the mortal realm besides Satanism! Therefore, tell me of your religion! It's only logical." Rose Watson says, "There are twelve dieties...each one governing a part of the human - uuuuh..." Feros Corilius says, "Twelve satans. I'm following." Rose Watson says, "Each one representing an existence of the human 'soul' and virtues." Feros Corilius says, "Interesting." Rose Watson says, "They're....not satans." Feros Corilius says, "They are satans in my head." Feros Corilius says, "I cannot depict a diety any other way." Feros Corilius says, "It's quite challenging, actually, because when I think of how disgusting christianity is, I think of Jesus as Satan." Feros Corilius says, "Continue." Rose Watson says, "There's Athene, goddess of honor, justice, and duty....Diana, goddess of inner peace and reflection, Aphrodi, goddess of love...." Feros Corilius asks, "Goddess?" Feros Corilius asks, "They're female?" Rose Watson says, "...you know what? Gimme a moment." Rose Watson says, "Yeah. some are female, some male." Rose Watson googles a wiki page of the religion, "Here. I'll message you a link." Rose Watson says, "That should...pretty much be the gist of it." Feros Corilius asks, "A male god carrying grapes?" Feros Corilius says, "I think two grapes are enough." Rose Watson says, "It's more like....eh." Rose Watson says, "Ooohkay I gotta print out these books." Feros Corilius asks, "You know what?" Rose Watson asks, "Hm?" Feros Corilius says, "Satan has given up on me." Feros Corilius says, "Perhaps.." Rose Watson asks, "Oh?" Feros Corilius says, "To regain his trust.." Feros Corilius yells, "I shall pose as a chaplain of THIS religion!" Feros Corilius shouts, "The people would love me!" Rose Watson says, ".....yeah. Good luck with that...." Feros Corilius shouts, "Then, I'll say, it was Feros all along! Then they'll love Feros!" Feros Corilius exclaims, "Feros, feros everywhere! Everyone wants a piece of Feros' preachings!" Feros Corilius shouts, "It's brilliant!" Rose Watson says, "You know, if you're gonna mock my faith, I'm gonna have some serious issues." Jason Sanders says, "... Hi." Rose Watson says, ".....fair warning." Feros Corilius asks, "Good sir, would you like to discuss the... uh.. whatever it was called?" Rose Watson says, "..." Rose Watson says, "It's called Trinitology." Rose Watson nods. Feros Corilius exclaims, "Trinitology!" Feros Corilius shouts, "Yes!" Jason Sanders says, "No thanks, buddy. I already have a service provider." Feros Corilius says, "But-" Jason Sanders says, "See ya." Feros Corilius asks, "It's not Satanism! How could you decline!?" Jason Sanders says, "Wow! Surprisingly easy." Rose Watson chuckles. Jason Sanders says, "Well, gee." Jason Sanders says, "No thank you." Rose Watson says, "Don't forget. 13 gods. Each representing a vice of the human mind." Feros Corilius waddles out of the room with the saddest look on his face. Rose Watson says, "Yeeeep." Jason Sanders says, "Right." Rose Watson says, "So." Rose Watson asks, "How you doing?" *time skip* Feros Corilius says, "It appears nobody wishes to discuss Satanism." Jason Sanders says, "Gee, I wonder why." Rose Watson says, "I thought you were gonna discuss trinitology." Feros Corilius says, "The trinitology thing didn't work either." Feros Corilius says, "I saw C'thulu out there too." Rose Watson says, "Try something more mainstream. Like...." Jason Sanders says, "How about... pick something people like, and make a religion out of it." Jason Sanders says, "That'll prob'ly work. Maybe." Feros Corilius says, "Hm.." Rose Watson says, "....yeah that's gonna work." Feros Corilius shouts, "That's it!" Rose Watson asks, "...what's it?" Feros Corilius shouts, "Punch me, good sir!" Jason Sanders asks, "... Hm?" Jason Sanders says, "I'm not gonna punch you, man." Feros Corilius says, "Just... whollop me across the face." Feros Corilius says, "No harm done." Jason Sanders sighs. Jason Sanders punched Feros Corilius! Feros Corilius says, "I UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING NOW" Rose Watson says, "Nice punch." Jason Sanders says, "Ta-da." Jason Sanders says, "I box." Feros Corilius shouts, "Sericus! Visseries! Bhjallivakri!" Rose Watson asks, "...come again?" Jason Sanders asks, "Right. That's... that's a good sign, isn't it?" Feros Corilius yells, "Ycarso! Hgvarsoloknyi! Livisidius! Gensecus! Agiclose! Thellihes!" Feros Corilius exclaims, "The eleven gods!" Feros Corilius shouts, "They beckon out for me!" Rose Watson facepalms. Jason Sanders says, "Well, better beckon back, buddy." Feros Corilius exclaims, "VISSERIES PLEAS FOR MY REDEMPTION IN THE REALM OF THOSE BLESSED!" Rose Watson says, "....yeah. Okay. Sure. They beckon thee." Jason Sanders says, "You might get more signal in the chap--" Jason Sanders says, "... In the chapel." Rose Watson says, "He'll be fine." Feros Corilius shouts, "The eleven gods depicting the eleven horrible marks of sentience those humanoid bear!" Feros Corilius asks, "Don't you see?" Rose Watson isn't really listening, "Mhm." Jason Sanders says, "Okay. Uh..." Jason Sanders says, "You've totally converted me. Good job, man." Feros Corilius shouts, "Visseries, the god of sentience, Corovel, the god of independence, Ycarso, the god of complexity, Sericus, the god of manifestation, and it goes on!" Rose Watson says, "...thought it only goes on to ten." Feros Corilius shouts, "They all depict our suffering! They have cast us into this world bound by our mortal shackles to serve their divine challenge of surviving it!" Rose Watson says, "Sounds good." Jason Sanders asks, "Okay, Feros? Preach t'someone else okay? Please?" Feros Corilius exclaims, "And one day they shall cast those that will purge us from this realm at last, sparing us the atrocities of consciousness!" Feros Corilius exclaims, "It's brilliant!" Feros Corilius exclaims, "Thank you, Satan!" Feros Corilius waddles off satanically. Rose Watson says, "...at least he's harmless."
  10. OOC INFO: ((A few players have been requesting to join the Mo'Taki. I was hesitant at first, since I wasn't sure how to apply these requests. I would love to have people join Karima's family, so I'm writing up this guide for applications into the Mo'Taki family)) ~*~Family Rules And Guidelines~*~ 1. Family is important: protect the kin, and guard them well. We're all in this together, and no one gets left behind. 2. The Mo'Taki is a proud name. Don't sully it, and don't embarrass it. We're not lawless criminals, but we're not gonna play kiss-up either. We get to where we are by hard work and dedication. 3. Doing something right isn't always doing something lawful. Be honest with your intentions. ((that means you can be tators and you can break the law, but you better have a bloody good reason to)) 4. The clan is predominantly Hharar - although we have some Khan-Zhan and M'Sai blood mixed in from relatives. 5. the Mo'Taki are predominantly situated in the city of Kal'Tiv, Adohmai. Kal'Tiv is a fairly modernized port city, meaning it's close to the shore and heavily influenced with industrial growth. the Mo'Taki are not wealthy, but they are not dirt-poor. Most families likely own/work in small businesses. Karima's immediate family owns a restaurant. 6. Education is considered very important. Knowledge opens opportunity, and it is a requirement that every able-bodied Tajara help support the schooling of the younger kits. 7. A portion of the paycheck must be set aside to be sent back to Adohmai. 8. Respect the elders of the clan. There is an unspoken rule that parents/uncles/aunts get a little more say over the younger ones. Cousins, brothers, and sisters are more on level with each other. 9. Rough-housing and teasing is totally okay. Don't get snippy, just shrug it off and snicker. Unlike the Jawdat, we're a bunch of ruffians. 10. Inter-species relationships are perfectly okay. Although it is slightly more preferred to date another Tajara. OOC Requirement: 1. Tajara whitelist. You can ask to have a Mo'Taki for your whitelist, but I ain't gonna be adopting no hairless apes or hissy lizards. 2. Sorry, but you cannot be directly related to Karima. I've already established that Karima is the second eldest in her immediate family. This gives Karima a fair amount of say in her immediate family, being the second eldest child. And yes, I know that was redundant. Bleh. 3. If you wanna be siblings with anyone else, you gotta PM them and see if they're okay with it. Don't worry, the Mo'Taki is a pretty large clan, so there can be a lot of families, and it's perfectly allowable to spawn your own branch. 4. Parents are less likely to leave Adohmai - we're only transferring those that can support themselves. They MUST be able bodied, and they cannot add burden on the kin that are already so far from home. Aka, no grandpa's in wheelchairs. 5. Cousins, second cousins, nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws = all open. I'm putting a limit on anyone considered an 'elder' in the Mo'Taki. First of all, they would already have an established family, and that's not easy to support from afar. But more importantly, I really don't want a hierarchy to develop. At least if everyone is in the same age group, it's fine. 6. For those that want to be members of the Mo'Taki, it must be +1 by all current active members, after the most recent addition has had time to settle in for the arpee. I want this group to grow slowly, not suddenly expand, and flood the station with Mo'Taki. 11. Isilathi Uaekis went solo gun fire against 5 nuke-ops again. >: He gave Shadow a nasty scar. >.>
  12. The only downside I can think of, is infinite cheese and tofu. But that's only if you get universal enzymes.
  13. Wut. No, seriously. Wut.
  14. Karima leaned back from her computer desk, satisfied. "Seems good enough to send," she murmured. == Dear Director Katrina Silvers, She apologizes for influencing Synthetic Unit Katana. It had not been her intention, and the logic experiment she applied was not meant to edit or change any part of Katana's code. Karima had done so accidentally, before she realized it. When Karima was informed that the incident would be reported back to Director Silvers, she became worried and requested Katana to not inform Director Silvers. This project is very important to Karima, and still in need of work. She apologizes for influencing Katana, and she understands the gravity in the breach in trust. As much as Karima does not wish to part with her research, she understands that Director Silvers does not wish to have Karima meddle in hers. Again, she apologizes If granted permission, she would very much enjoy applying her theory with Katana pAI - however, she cannot promise what the outcome may be. Her intent is never to harm Katana, but Katana's code will be influenced and changed. Karima would enjoy the challenge of masking her edits, but that would be breaking Director Silver's trust. She will wait for the Director's reply. Again, she apologizes for what she's done, and she hopes we may be able to come to a mutual agreement. Katana is a very interesting Synthetic, and Karima enjoys working with her. Sincerely, Karima Mo'Taki ==
  15. If you love cats, go look up Jackson Galaxy https://www.youtube.com/user/TheCatDaddy66 He is really awesome in knowing all things to catify.
  16. +1 no doubt about it! Sierra is a great RPer and totes fun to play with.
  17. Can we add milk to the drink dispenser, so we can have latte and milkshakes? Soy latte too <3. I'm getting a little bit tired of sneaking into the kitchen to steal a carton of milk to make a latte..
  18. One question: Did Karima have ANYTHING to do with this? +1 regardless of answer.
  19. Indeed they do. I recall one round, my engineer Lori punched Dilgan in the prosthetic arm with her prosthetic fist - just once. He had a broken arm the rest of the round, and was too proud to get it fixed.
  20. He spawns in with an implant. I don't know if he still does (I bet he does, just haven't had a reason to log in with him) but...yep. Loyalty implanter in his bag. Next to his beloved sniper gloves. And I just...have no idea what to use as a replacement. I will admit, playing with an implant was a teeny bit powergamey - he's immune to all forms of brainwashing. Cult is nullified, vampire (maybe, idk), RP-rev...ok. RP-rev can be ar-peed immunity. But he basically was NT's little loyalist. That's what I liked so much about him.
  21. So that's why he's always wearing shades. +1
  22. I did want welding goggles, but I also wanted something about Karima's family - so I put two and two together, and came up with this. Clothing would be pointless since Karima is one of those 'roll down jumpsuit' Tajara. Something like a family photo would be kept in her bag, and rarely get used for RP. It would have to be something she wore on her person. Hm, perhaps I can ask for a custom toolbelt? Or still a bit over the top? Ooh! I know! A custom necklace with a data chip. Just to add to her jumpsuit.
  23. Yes please, +1. So this gal can stop nagging me about how silly she looks without a bandana.
  24. Mmm, Furry, small little problem. Karima was found innocent on that incident. Her record is basically clean. Her lawyer spun the story that whatever she confessed was illegitimate, as those confessions were a result of unofficial interrogation, manipulation, fear tactics, threat of physical injury, and bullying. She heavily played her "I'm a Tajara abused by the system, have pity on me" card. They then fabricated an elaborate alibi. Her prints were on the androids because she works as a roboticist. The android that went berserk was terminated, and no evidence could be lifted. The most she got was a very, VERY stern warning that if evidence pops up against her in the future, she's out the door. But Karima is in all essence, one very lucky Tajara. She was also taken aside and told to never speak of this. Which is why she is terribly skittish and clams up when someone asks her anything related to it.
