Hey fam. Jim's a cool dude, you're an even COOLER dude. But, Jim can be a little more than iffy sometimes. While I think Jim as a character would be good for trying to get into the rhythm, I don't believe he's that great. While he can certainly shine, and when he does he shines like a star, but he's not, 'friendly' enough. I think if you're going for a Command role, get used to dropping by departments, asking how they're doing them, telling them your name etc. etc. Firstly, it kind of gets you out there, and people generally tend to be more cooperative with you. Secondly, it kind of really helps you lay everything out, get appearances and a rough idea on their character. Also, try playing Detective, don't be afraid of asking Spider for help since he's rather active in that role. Because as the HoS you'll have to be doing some of the dirty investigation work yourself. Remember, it's better to can one perp for fourty minutes, and can a second one permanently. Give the antags this incentive to give you info. Also, don't be afraid to stick your neck out. People will appreciate you not being a cuck 78% of the time. But, other than that, Red's a pretty solid dude and he should totally be head +1.

Eliot, I suggested not a straight up frying them, and more like if I'm pumping half of my sweet, sweet precious EMP bolts into you I'd like you to stay down for a while. I understand that the analogy with the AI, but those are using very loud, and brutal tools to disable the AI. I'm suggesting the EMP to be the quiet killer, for the antags who manage get into the core undetected. But, I am personally not a 'borg player, I find it to be very mundane and limiting, but if compensation is necessary in a couple other aspects to open an entire new avenue of combat, I think it'd be worth it. This is moreso brainstorming than dead set suggestions. And with the IPC thing, generally IPC's are so vulnerable to lasers not a lot of people go out of their way to go for EMP.

What is ol' man Hackie Mhan on 'bout? Well folks, as I've learned today through antagging like a bitch, I've discovered how terrible Ion is against synthetics, which is rather surprising! Now, being an old man such as myself, your memory's spotty, and I recall a couple Ion shots blastin' an AI to kingdom come, and 'borg being put down like Old Yeller. But, today I teleported right into the AI core, and emptied a whole rifle into that sun of a gun. And it was only badly charred, which really rustles my jimmies. This thing's designed to take down robo-baddies, if I recall correctly. And, later, with a whole new rifle, I unloaded half of that sunuvabitch into a 'borg! It only made it go nap for a couple seconds. Not even as long as a flash! However, what the rifle does exceed in is disabling enemy laser weaponry, which is very helpful. Water we supposed to do 'bout it? Well, make this gosh darned thing fry 'em suckers! While straight up upgrading the damage would put the poor sort into a sore disadvantage, I'd suggest some form of stun, slow or temporary disabling of equipment to be acceptable. A-K-A, I'm not going to smash you in one hit, I'm just going to scramble you and take you down a little faster. Five shots'd be fine to take down your run of the mill 'borg. But what 'bout that AI? Well, the AI should just get completely smashed. He has a plethora of tools at his disposal to prevent any besiegers from entering his core, with APC explosions, venting, bolting, electricity and lasers they shouldn't be able to shrug it off and move on.

Dear god, this is a beautiful application. This character is surprisingly weird and really original. He has a cool backstory that fits in with the lore, and is very unique while not being completely ridiculous, and is very odd for a Tajara. The writing of the backstory has this beautiful sardonic tone to it, which really accentuates the tone of being a Tajara separated from his native culture. And, yet again Botanist brings a majorly under-represented religious belief to the station, which I believe he will accomplish magnificently. As, in the past he has demonstrated with Walter Brooks, a Jewish character which brought his religion to the table in a subtle manner which was used to give more depth to the character as a whole, and not being his main quirk. While Botanist as a player might be a little silly and tip toe the line, he's an overall solid dude who understands that it's just a game. +1

This is my shit. I loved this game. But the time limit kind of was a turn off, because I'd be halfway through a story and eh. But, Sunless sea is another great game in this universe. It has all it's charm, with more stuff.

I would appreciate elaboration on your IPC's backstory. It seems like you're hinting at a bumblebee-esque quirk to distinguish it? That would be an interesting gimmick, and with proper use of emotes could really add a flair to the character. Also, is your IPC a shell or box-head? Regardless, Ove is a cool cat who can do the great Roleplay and would probably do something interesting.

But I uh, I won't have any flavor texts then. Anyways, homie. Just be simple. Lay out the basics for a character, add some cool things. Don't try to be like, 'at one point she was a lab assistant, then a doctor, then a scientist and a surgeon and became a wardengineer!2./2@'. Focus on one department. Try not to rely on pictures you like, or find online to show how your character looks. They're a nice touch, but don't rely on them as a crutch. Don't try to describe feeling, like 'warm, cuddly, soft'. Remember to kind of keep reading your flavor text, adding touches and changes as you play the game. If you're playing a very boisterous, light-hearted dude make your flavor text reflect it. Also, try to be realistic when come to your proportions and such. Lads usually won't be taller than six feet, and ladies usually should be a lil' shorter than average. Don't try to be special, be a cool decent dude and most people will be like, 'I like this guy, he's good.' Just keep working at it.
