  1. There's a lightbulb and a tube on the same tile in the warehouse Also a lightbulb inside of a camera (now that bulbs are fixed) in the fire closet, next to the tool storage
  2. Sounds good, but imho I don't think we need a "resident" sub-role. The removal of alt titles happened for a reason, there's no need to add any back in.
  3. BYOND key: DatSamTho (Previously Tomkiel) Discord name/id: DatSamTho Borg / AI names: The Borg I have currently been playing is "Mig", and for an AI name, I was thinking "Catherine". Have you read the Aurora wiki page about the AI?: Yes Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I've always enjoyed the general sci-fi idea of a central AI, and a (theoretically) omnipotent, near all powerful entity, which is kept in check by a set of corporate laws sounds like something right up in my alley. And also I just think I'd like the more RP heavy observer role, since, let's be honest, the door opener 3000 doesn't typically do all that much aside from providing information, by, well, talking! Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? I have, most of them are real old, but there is a new one from 2 weeks ago, or so, for poor antag escalation, which was a singular fuck up by me, and not something usual. Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? Totally, completely.
  4. These two turrets near the AI Core should probably be removed. Whenever a borg wakes up from storage or goes to storage and opens the blast doors, the turrets have enough range to target anyone unfortunate enough to be entering/exiting RnD as well as like two tiles inside of RnD.
  5. I'm sorry, but I feel like you're completely misunderstanding what is being said. Games are in large part, built on incentives (rewards) and disincentives (punishments) that push the player to play a certain way, eg. enemies dropping pick ups in the new Doom games incentivizing aggressive play, or one bite = one death in Project Zomboid disincentivising aggressive play, and taking risks while unprepared. I am not saying the developers are punishing players, I am saying the game is. This PR has made the game disincentivise (or punish) using clothing that is not your work uniform. Please don't act like we're out here witch hunting devs, we're talking about the change that was made, nothing else. And while I get your point about uniforms being used, it's clearly a niche position, that most of the player base, as seen in the thread, don't really agree with.
  6. This isn't arguing about the whole PR- I have no issue with the rest, but this point is moot, since people can just put on their job uniform if they want to "Rambo" without the debuff of not having sensors at all.
  7. A recent PR overhauling the sensors changed it so that sensors are now only available on work uniforms. I really don't like this, it feels like I am being punished for wanting my character to look different, for no real reason. It makes the wearing of most items from the uniform section a direct debuff if you're playing anyone but off-duty/passenger. What are y'all's thoughts on it?
  8. This is a very simple suggestion. I feel like the only reason for the gloves to not be usable for protecting against shocks, is "well we can't have people powergame" but that's already a rule. The gloves are rubber, rubber is non-conductive. It gives antags another small avenue of approach. Make it happen, aurora nation. (NOTE: I never used the cleaning gloves for hacking/messing with machines. I'm just assuming off of the description.)
  9. BYOND Key: DatSamTho Discord Username: why are you trying to dox me Character Name: John "Marine" Sol Item Name: Solarian Assault Rifle Item Function(s): It shoots people Item Description: a gun used by solarian marines. a hundred tally marks score its surface............ Why is your character bringing this item to work?: he is a marine, and likes to show off that he is a marine How did your character obtain this item?: he got it during his time with the marines What value does this item have to your character, and what story does it tell?: it allows john to kill people. it tells the story of him killing people. Sprites: I hope this is enough, I can post more if you need me to Additional Comments: I put in "accepted" in the title, because I wanted to spare you the effort.
  10. It's annoying as a ghost to constantly have your chat spammed with this type of deal, when you're trying to see what people are doing. The "unique emote only" preference would restrict the emotes that you can see as a ghost from anywhere, to only player made visible, and audible /me emotes.
  11. Not sure how to say this, but it just doesn't really feel right. Everyone's movements feel super slow and sluggish, like moving through water. Other than that, a bunch of the janicart interactions are broken: -sometimes it doesn't glide at all, and still skips like before (Not sure what causes it, I wasn't able to recreate it reliably. It happened to me with the janicart at the start of round, but evened out later, when I put everything on it.) -it "jitters" a pixel or two back and forth when moving it -running with the janicart skips your screen forward
  12. That sounds like a good idea. Though I think that characters running around with peg legs and hook hands is a bit silly, and shouldn't be something selectable in the loadout, and rather a temporary in-round thing, or something for antags to mess around with. Also I feel that non-robotic leg/arm prosthetics should have some drawbacks, as having them be not be disabled by EMPs just makes them a straight upgrade from robotic ones. I think that having them be *slightly* worse would be a good idea, e.g. having the legs be a bit slower (prosthetic legs are not optimised for running, prosthetic running blades are not optimised for walking, but I don't think you can change the walk speed individually for walking/running.) I'm unsure what the downside for non-robotic arms could be though, first thing that comes to mind, is not being able to operate complex things with that arm, but I don't think that's mechanically possible.
  13. Absolutely all for this. Residential has always been a bit of a grey zone, with people making their own headcanon for it, I am all for clarifying what's actually going on down there.
  14. Pun-Pun is literally never used or involved in anything. All for this.
  15. The time after round ends until the restart often fluctuates, due to admins resolving tickets and such, so I don't really think that this would be a very good idea, it'd just be inaccurate a lot of the time.
  16. I feel like this is a good idea, but I think that I partially second what N8 says, and making the fleet have a security component would have to involve a lot of awkward "sorry, we can't help you". I would agree with this idea, if the fleet was only an unarmed, mainly supply one.
  17. As it stands, once a transfer vote is passed, there is first a 10 minute timer, then a 3 minute one, and then a 2 minute one. Now, this made sense back on the Aurora map, when these represented calling the shuttle, the shuttle waiting, and the shuttle flying, but on the Horizon, I feel like this is just unnecessarily confusing, and should just be swapped to a single 15 minute wait timer. Same waiting amount, less confusion.
