  1. ((As someone who is just reading this thread from interest, how does this look for the top deck? Assuming this is your ship, not the one you are going to capture. I thought the rough and ready look of the dorms suited a team of mercs better, and I added a briefing room as well.))
  2. ...... ...... ...... Your wise man sounds like Mr Drugs. Serious note, if a god is a true god, they are omnipotent, therefore they can just make it so he is greater, or that the mortal never ate skateboards, or that skate boards don't exist. The possibilities are endless.
  3. Mmm, It's the original Inis, from which all others are made. Maybe a super quantum computer could do it. Though all that reminds me of is that old story about some scientists making the universe's best super computer, and asking it "Is there a god?" To which it replied, "There is now."
  4. Inis is a resto/balance Yeah, if you know everything, and I mean 100% omniscience (or however you spell it), including everything in other dimensions and universes, as their laws of physics may allow them to mess with the outcome, even by the smallest degree. Then you might be able to predict sonething with 100% accuracy, but without total knowledge, you can never say fully that the things you don't know can't effect the outcome.
  5. Have a balance druid. I also agree with you. The rivers of blood spilled in conquest over the millenia, the vast number of people who have lived, died, then passed into dust; all of our Wonders and achievements. Compare them to anything on a cosmic scale, and they are so insignificant as to be nothing.

  7. The futures are limitless and ever-changing, fates and fortunes are useless in the face of the endless possibilities. But. In the end, right down to the wire, everything that will happen, will happen. If I had to decide tomorrow to do one of two things, I could choose either, right up to the final moment, when I couldn't. Fortune-telling and foreseering the future are pointless, useless and a waste of time, but the future is determined before us, it's just impossible to discern, so it might as well be unbound and free to change. As we can never be 100% certain on event.
  8. It's been voted in a lot, recently, by my count. I'm against this. It's a one man op, with very little RP options, annoying and tedious for everyone who's not ninja. Might as well make the extra step and remove wizard from rotation as well, because pretty much everyone agrees wizard is shit. Disagreeing with you on that, I like wizard. I haven't seen Ninja very often, but when I do they are generally very, very powerful; I think putting them in secret at the moment would be a bad decision, they need a bit of tweaking.
  9. Surprisingly Inis, the blue-haired, pale, scarred, idealistic, semi-rich, religious pacifist only scoed 350. I've always thought Inis was among the super special snowflakes. I shudder to think what she would score if it was Apollo-Inis, there would need to be a super power section as well. Also, phtsical disabilities? Like epilepsy, migranes, etc.
  10. You mean those "other" people?
  11. Inyse watches Gordon excitedly as he leaves, before turning to return to the covered stand with Amelya, murmuring quietly to the older woman, "That was exciting! Do you think he will win?" Amelya's scathing reply was lost amidst another shuddering blow by the immense knight. Varane looked back at Lord Tulgrad, now that the two girls were away, "An exchange of wards? I am afraid I don't have a great deal to send with you... My brother, and heir, I need him with the fleets, Golthis and Sarin, I need them to keep my captains in line... I can hardly send Inyse if Gordon is coming to Karynn... I certainly can't send Caylais, Kiera would take my head off for sending her away from Sarin... That... Only really leaves Amelya.. And I am sure you know about that... The knife incident..."
  12. 1. Moderate, they aren't Westboro, or ISIS. They are peaceful (generally) and accepting of other faiths and idealogies. 2. The only thing I currently have is Inis' necklace as the symbol for one of the gods; I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination; I can try and knock some stuff together, or give descriptions if someone else is willing to try. 3. Of couse, google doc, comments enabled. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_M7FbrhOiNxSn5nv40XUnOmd0u6-F4RmRRPvNUWgSZY/edit?usp=sharing 4. Yeah, I can quite easily do that, thinking up abstract phrases is something I am proficient at. 5. I already have two characters with this, my well-known one, Inis Truesight, and a Chaplain, Guinevere Tier, who isn't as well known.
  13. Type: Religion Founding/Settlement Date (if applicable): Recognised by the Sol Alliance in 2421 Region of Space: Primarily Epsilon Eridani. Long Description: Notes: This isn't a WIP, I think it is good to go as is, but I will be writing up more and more in the background, starting on religious ceremonies and strictures. If you want to hear more about this ingame, please talk to Inis Truesight or Guinevere Tier; who are both followers.
  14. English. That is all.
  15. Inyse's pale face flushed red at Gordon's request; reaching behind her head, she unties a blue ribbon, before extending it towards Gordon, "Uh, yes, my favour, here." She looks both shocked and happy to be asked something normally reserved for ladies of a higher calibre. Varane looked over at the immense man as a second resounding slam echoed across the court, "I thought this Tourney was for knights... Not for thunder gods, I pity the man to face him in the melee." He turns back to Lord Tulgrad, "You were saying?"

  17. It helps when you remember that my first character, and Inis' brother, is called Gollee.
  18. Varane nodded, "That we are. These two are in the melee and the archery. I am in the melee and the joust." Golthis and Sarin voiced respectful greetings to the one-armed lord, taking the time to have a short rest from the sparring. Varane chuckled as Gordon was knocked down, "Looks like your son and my two have something in common, a distinct lack of grace with certain weapons. When we get back to Karynn, Ser Farkun is going to have words with them about longswords." The two women approached the four men; one seemingly overcome by boredom, while the other appeared to be enjoying herself. Varane looked at Gordon with an emotionless face, "Fair lady? Which one? That's my daughter and my niece." After a moment, Varane's face splits into a smile, "That is Lady Amelya and Lady Inyse; Inyse being the younger, happier one. Isn't that right, Amelya?" Amelya shrugged, looking about disinterestedly while Inyse curtseyed.
  19. Varane turned slightly at the call, "Two against one, and these two buggers have to cheat to gain the upper hand; it either speaks well of my chances in the melee, or poorly of theirs. I think the latter. Hold!" Varane holds up a hand towards Golthis and Sarin, "A pause." Varane gestures between Lord Tulgrad and the two men, "Lord Michael Tulgrad, Lord of the Hammer Hills, this is Ser Golyhis Ceval, and Ser Sarin Jothun; my nephew and my first niece's husband respectively. My daughter, Lady Amelya, and my other niece, Lady Inyse, are over in that stand." Varane gestures towards the covered stand, and two women within it emerge into the sunshine.
  20. Amelya and Inyse watched on from a sheltered stand while Varane tutored Golthis and Sarin in the finer art of the longsword. "No! You can't slash like that, it's isn't a short-blade, the damned thing is near five foot long, stop trying to use it like a big knife." Varane sidestepped a wide slash, before clashing the blades, disarming Golthis with the shock of the impact. "And hold it properly! Not loosely, or you're going out in the first round with a sore head and bruised ego." Varane spins about, driving Sarin back with a flurry of blows before disarming him as well. "Flanking is a good move, but you need to be better with your weapons, and you might not have the opportunity in the melee." Spying a one-armed man on the walls, Varane waved with one hand, while fending off a series of attacks by Golthis with the other. "Lord Tulgrad! How goes i-" Varane jumped back as Golthis yanked a shortsword from his belt and unleashed a blistering wave of attacks; Golthis scored several hits, tapping his uncle on the left arm, and his side. Varane scowled as Sarin also pressed the advantage, pushing Varane back further; but both of them jumped back as Varane pulled Aetherys half out of it's scabbard. "Your short-blades serve you well at sea, in the confines of a deck, but in the scrum of a melee, and a man with a sword like this comes at you, you will appreciate knowing how to use a longsword." The two of them sheathed their shortswords irritably, snatching their longswords back off of the ground. "Now, first position. Start!"

  22. Varane turned to the carriage driver after being turned away from the Red Keep. "Take us to an inn of good standing, the Silver Dragon will do." The driver nodded, turning the carriage around, back into the town. Once at the Silver Dragon, Varane hired the five best rooms, along with some lower class accommodation for the squires and servants.
  23. So Blizzard has a new free-to-play; it is currently in Beta, but, playing it, it seems complete and solid as a rock. In essence, it is what you get when you drop all of the heroes and villains of Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo into League of Legends; after they unalive all the native inhabitants. For those of you who don't know the gamestyle, it is a two-sided battle, with five players aside, supported by swarms of freely respawning minions, and the goal is to get past your opponents defences and destroy their core; taking advantage of a plethora of map features and mercenary camps along the way. Currently I play as Zerul'Tul, Tyrande Whisperwind, Diablo, and Illidan the Betrayer. These characters vary from sneaky invisible bastard, healer/support, unkillable lord of crowd control, and the supremely overpowered teleporting phase-shifting regenerating arse of a character killer that is the Betrayer. The game is a 4gb download with the free battlenet launcher; and even has practice amd cooperative modes, so you can go against NPCs.
