Trial passed. Congratulations. -
Due to your previous history, and the fact that this is your third permaban on this server, we will not be lifting this ban. Locking and archiving.

The people you pinged are no longer staff here. Apologies for the delay, but give us a bit longer to look into it.

Loorey's Moderator Application

On trial 21st June 2023 - 21st July 2023. -
Some issues with this, listed below. Merging the two will encourage Super Physicians who do everything with no clear boundaries. We're going to end up with a mosh pit of people stamping all over each other to help assist a patient. Too many cooks in the kitchen will end with the death of a patient, as we see already sometimes with two responders and a responder intern. Merging the two will passively pressure Pharmacist players to learn more medical, and pressure Physicians to learn chem. Some people want to play medical without having to do first aid stuff, or physician stuff and just want to make funny chems because they enjoy funny bubble noise. Being a pharmacist or a psych means that you're last on the roster to do so, but you don't have to do it. Merging the two will make Physician antagonist less manageable as they have more tools at their disposal. Self explanatory. They don't need this, especially with the (now)current PR open giving traitors more funny crystals to work with. Merging the two puts more pressure on players in an already stressful department. Again, people shouldn't have to do what they don't want. Already we see CMO characters being forced to learn surgery, even if that isn't their background. Surprise, not all CMOs should/could be amazing at brain surgery! People in general shouldn't have to learn stuff that they don't want to. In an ideal medical bay, the responders communicate that they're going out to collect someone. They stabilize the patient (bandage and salve bleeding and burns, inject with painkillers, inaprovaline), report back to medical what the injury is and transport back. The physicians then inject with fancy chemicals that the pharmacy has made to further stabilize/improve the general health and well-being of the patient in general, before they are being moved to surgery for fixing of broken bones/arterial bleeding/emergency surgery/whatever. As it stands right now, pharmacists should be the last ones dealing with injuries, along with psychs. If there is nothing for your pharmacist to do, and you want to do more, watch the suit sensor suite. An extra pair of eyes is ALWAYS needed, ALWAYS helpful, to report on even the faintest blip. Pester the CMO for a refill of cartridges, demand operations use the money you've made from the single/double/x3 bounty to pay for it if there's no CMO. Restock the fridge. Experiment with fantastic mixes that'll never see the light of day because you know they might get nerfed into the ground. Just, be on standby for your medical. TLDR? No. Please don't do this.

[ACCEPTED] Quiet Cowboy's Antag Permaban Unban Request 2
Melariara replied to QuietCowboy's topic in Unban Requests Archive
Sure. Appeal accepted. -
Hi there. As per the strike at the time, it was said, multiple times by multiple staff members, that the entire thing was being struck. It cannot be removed just to be shifted to another quote. If we did strike "for the correct quote," you would have been struck twice which, depending on how you behave on the discords, could have led you to being perma-banned. All of the quotes you said at the time were logged and screenshotted, again, as per multiple staff saying so. I'll even post the logs so you remember.

[DENIED] Quiet Cowboy's Antag Permaban Unban Request
Melariara replied to QuietCowboy's topic in Unban Requests Archive
Hello. I am the one who applied the permanent antagonist ban onto your account. I will be denying this. You have played a grand total of two rounds since you were permanently antagonist banned from the server. On top of the fact your appeal does not read as though you admit and accept your wrongdoings, and acknowledge where you should improve in the future. Please play some rounds so you understand the theme of what we're asking for from people who play here before appealing in a month. -
Closing due to OOC reasons.

These sprites are incredibly bright. It feels almost like a reversion of the tiles we had several years back as seen in the screenshots below. The first one is with this current PR on, and the second one is an old screenshot I have of the old Medbay, before the sprite change over then. I will agree with the generic tiles out here and around in various departments as well. Unsure, but worried about someone with Trypophobia on these. The brig feels INCREDIBLY busy now as a result. Like, there's a lot going on in here. (Also, are the shades on the blue in security two different colours?) These are neat though, I like these. Command is extremely bright as well. -

Staff complaint - Melariara (Unban Request)
Melariara replied to NG+7 Gael's topic in Staff Complaints Archive
I denied this because I felt you weren't being apologetic about it, as stated. Considering how you reacted to the original ban, I believe that what you said was not enough. The original complaint against the original ruling was listed here : -
Binning due to OOC reasons.

Reporting Personnel: Yekta Nazeri Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Pharmacist Game ID: cmL-ar54 Personnel Involved: Quinn Scott, Surgeon, Offender Avelka S'rrenikar, First Responder, Witness - Avelka has witnessed a majority of the interactions Doctor Scott and myself have had over the past few weeks, as well as the coffee incident listed below. Ren Hartfort, Surgeon, Witness - Doctor Hartfort has also witnessed several of the incidents over the few weeks, as well as the coffee incident listed below. Secondary Witnesses: Faye Lund, Medical Intern/Physician, Witness - Possibly witnessed the coffee incident below. Pastel Salinger, Psychologist - Witnessed the coffee incident below. Time of Incident: Around the time that the bluespace jump preparations were complete and spooling up, so around two hours and ten minutes into the shift. Real Time: 12:10pm AWST, ish. Location of Incident: Medical, the hallway outside of medical near the stairs. Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ ] - Neglect of Duty [x] - Harassment [x] - Assault [ ] - Misconduct [ ] - Other Overview of the Incident: To start this off, I must mention something that happened several weeks ago. Doctor Scott, off duty at the time and I had no idea worked in medical at this point, came into medical while smoking. I asked her to please not smoke in medical, she did not, so I used a fire extinguisher on her and she punched me. We were both charged by security at the time. Since then, however, I have put up with several degrading remarks by Doctor Scott every time I come on shift such as, "Who do I need to speak to so our schedules don't clash?" and "I bet she has her DNA over all the men on the ship." I also believe she has been discussing me with other members of the medical department at various times. I have attempted to ignore a majority of these, as I am here to provide medication to the crew and to ensure that medicals job is much easier. Onto the shift in question. I arrived twenty minutes into the shift, around the time operations was sending out its parcels. I noted that within it, was a jetpack, which I mentioned on the medical channel. Quinn Scott then responded, "Maybe you could fly out of here, then. Find another ship with more assholes like you." I again, ignored this comment. Further into the shift, after a security incident which was swiftly handled, we were standing outside medical and Doctor Scott had gone to get drinks for everyone. I declined a drink at the time but she came up to me regardless, in front of Avelka S'rrenikar, Ren Hartfort, Faye Lund and Pastel Salinger, spilled hot coffee all over my chassis. She then grinned, proving, at least in my mind, it was intentional. Up until this point, I do not believe anyone in medical knew I was an IPC, as it is something I wished to keep secret (I am tagged, however, and free). If I had been human, which I believe she was thinking I might have been, the burns to the layers of skin would have been horrible, and there is a possibility of heart damage and/or lung damage. Submitted Evidence: I was honestly not expecting to get thrown coffee at, so I was not prepared. The only report I can give is my self diagnosis report, transcribed to a piece of paper for simplicity's sake. Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [x] - Yes [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: I reported it on the medical channel to the CMO, Sil Zurix-Orleans, who was sitting out of view of the entire incident at the desk in the reception area, as well as the captain, Michiko Kirishima, who was speaking on it previously. The captain said to report it to security, and as bluespace had just finished, I decided to IR it instead. Additional Notes: None.
