  1. As for how they're percieved, whether they're accepted or not, it doesn't matter either. Take into account that this is a fantasy universe set hundreds of years in the future. Homosexuality/gender problems could have very well fallen out of favor in those centuries prior. We shouldn't force a coddling atmosphere for gay 2d spacemen/women for that very tiny minority who can't handle any sort of criticism whatsoever.

  3. Ugh. I was hoping this kind of stuff would stick to the mainstream and not dribble through the cracks into our game. It doesn't matter. Roleplay is subjective to each person. Whether the homosexuals are portrayed realistically or not is the call the of person playing them. It isn't the game's fault, nor the community's fault. It's how the particular people who play the characters want to play them, taking into account their own specific beliefs. Who cares if it's stereotypical? Who cares if it's not? Who cares if it's unrealistic? Nobody should. You're free to do what you want (within server rules).

  7. Huehuehuehuehue. All the actions I took during that round were in-character and made sense. The rest was just cause and effect. Mirk chose to take major offense because he "lost". He amassed a ballistic weapons stockpile, didn't even try to hide it from people. He got rekt by security. He got mad. Uber's character betrayed the security team to the mutineers. He tried to climb into escape by breaking windows while the HoS (me) watched. I shoot him into space with a carbine because my character saw several people die as a result of Uber's char's actions. He gets mad. I see you guys get mad. I decide to have fun with you, if something like this gets you mad. Hue.
  8. Valiant Hearts, though, seems pretty good. I haven't finished it yet, but the little interspersed minigames keep things sorta more upbeat in between the story stuff. Which in itself seems a bit ludicrously simple. But in a good way.
  9. "This War of Mine" tries waaaaaaaaaaay too hard. The people were obviously intended to be relatable, but giving me a snippet of backstory and a black and white headshot isn't enough to become attached to a character. I also hate how everyone's so goddamn mopey and at the same time, omniscient. "Oh noes, Bruno killed someone getting the supplies, and we somehow know this even though he probably has absolutely no reason to tell us and he hasn't even gotten in through the door yet. Time to be depressed and lock myself into my depressed animations for the entire day." You're supposed to be in the middle of a war, where you aren't specifically the targets. It should be more about actual survival and preparation rather than dealing with pseudo-human elements that don't seem very well done. I didn't even get an overarching "ultra-depressing" vibe while reading Anne Frank's diary, as much as I did playing TWoM.
  10. As a white/black/hispanic... I actually don't have a problem with cops. I've just sorta been following the rule of thumb to treat them with respect, tread carefully around them, and not do overtly illegal things. To this day, I've never had a problem with cops.
  11. This country can't handle another Clinton. Hillary's a shady-ass bitch, even just looks untrustworthy as fuck. I swear, even Trump, that megalomaniac, would be a better choice than her. That woman getting elected would be the final sign that Eagleland fully belongs to the ultraliberals. I won't be long from that point until we end up like Sweden.
  12. Jesus Christ, why are so many of you ultraliberals?
  13. Necropolis Industries... that name just makes them sound... absurdly sinister...
  14. I remember being even more horrible Good times
  15. Meh. Victorian London was a pretty crappy time/place to live in. Not especially interesting to someone like me. Putting it underground and making it more steampunk-y doesn't really do that much for it either.
  16. I remember being in control of my very own banhammer and wantonly ending the hopes and dreams of all griffers under my sight.
  17. Lots of "sh" sounds with Skrell, along with liberal usage of the letters N, L, O, K and Y.
  18. I'm pretty sure that the commonly held view is that programming overrides the memories, and the brain basically becomes an organic processor. So borgs shouldn't have memories of their past lives. MMIs probably would, but not slaved borgs.
  19. Don't disturb my friend. He's dead tired.
  20. BR? u BR? me BR? yes br gibe moni pls or i repot u hueahueahueahueahuaeheauehaeuhaeeauehueaheauehuae
  21. Frances seems to take legitimate issue with certain events. Meanwhile, Johnny just keeps coming off as a bitch. Seriously, why this is still a fucking issue is baffling. Everyone shut the fuck up, sit the fuck down, take a fucking chill pill. I'm tired of seeing the same goddamn thread over and over because people don't know when to move on.
  22. A standalone zombie apocalypse survival Source mod. It's pretty good. The aim of the game is to provide a slightly more realistic representation of survival after the dead begin to rise from their graves and feast on the living. It usually goes about as well as you'd expect. As in kill a few, do well for a few minutes, then run out of ammo and get your shit kicked in by the growing horde as you desperately try to scavenge more. It's like a significantly slower paced version Left 4 Dead, and is balanced as such. Zombies go down with headshots, but move slowly enough that you can usually get a bead on them. Their biggest strengths are in numbers, the ability to tank pretty much all damage not done by explosives or headshot, and their ability to infect you with the undead virus and eventually turn you. If that happens, you can take pills to postpone the sickness, or put a gun to your head and take care of it yourself. It's a bit of a hefty download, but it's actually quite a bit better than the majority of standalone mods I've seen. Also, it's free and multiplayer. Get it so that in the future there could be the potential for Hamachi server parties. Doeet.
  23. Rusty remembers you. Rusty never forgets. welcum bak hibflet :3
