  1. This would be great, having bare-metal robots really nails home the "We do not see you as a person, and only partially a sentient being." This would also create a great division between the industrial, potentially exclusionist-leaning Baselines and G1s, and the ones who opt to wear clothes to fit in better, being viewed akin to something like a scab, or a pick-me. I love this and hope we add this.
  2. Tag114 posted it on discord a day or two ago I was astonished it wasn't already on this thread lmao
  3. Hazel's been nothing but helpful, I don't recall once she's been involved in some argument in the year I've been here. Her work speaks for itself, I'm surprised she wasn't already on the dev team. +1
  4. Operations bounties > items from cargo vs Mining resources > items from the machinists' minifactory that sounds like a good distinction, yeah! I like the idea of doing this, right now having them get access to the protolathe feels like it knocks research out of making protolathe things and being useful that way
  5. Admittedly, missed events 2-4, so I know that I'm biased, however. Overall, the arc was amazing, and I appreciate all the work that went into it. Especially for an area so commonly overlooked. I may rewrite this review later as it's currently 5:48, I just wanted to get my response out before I forgot.
  6. military industrial complex nymph
  7. The discussion and concerns are worth having, however, the setting and map is really cool. Good job! I really like how this looks, especially how different some areas feel (The biodome-greenhouse areas versus the cubical rooms, hallways, etc) It looks very varied
  8. Bubbling, splattering oil causing minor burns without longsleeve chefs coats Smoke and fumes causing issues if you don't turn the overhead vents on Honestly I love this
  9. Haven't gotten to see how they do mechanically, but Jang has been great in my eyes. Making sure to talk and interact with everyone in the department, good emotes, ensuring the trainee got paired with someone who can tutor them. Very proactive. +1
  10. I think Matt's medical overhaul idea that was tossed around a bunch a couple months ago is built around this sort of thing, and a shift away from the numbers-moving cascading balancing act of baymed into something more static, since right now it is really a thin line between 'toss some bandages on and it'll disapear' and 'your round is over' This was all thrown around months ago I can't really recall much or if it's still in the works, I just know there was a desire for this
  11. Pocheto seems like a competent roleplayer, I fully trust they understand the ooc/ic implications of command. She strikes me as someone who'd remember the person on the other side of the screen, which is important not to forget when dealing with a role that can very easily make or break rounds for other people. I don't have the hands-on experience to comment on their mechanical skills, the only mechanically deep job I've shared with them is a few engineer rounds, but mechanical skill isn't the primary reason command's whitelisted, it's the rp competency and consideration. +1
Pretty good! Good atmosphere, good plot, good amount of hanging out afterwards to decompress. Would prefer more organization, but overall it was still a fun event.

  12. Hazel nails competent, engaging, and fun to interact with characters, she's clearly knowledgeable when it comes to engineering mechanics, knowledgeable enough to handle high-stress situations. I definitely trust her to handle chief engineer responsibly +1
  13. Reporting Personnel: Dr. Rita Kapinga Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Physician (Zeng-Hu) Game ID: N/A Personnel Involved: - Cornelius Huizhong, Head of Security (SCC) Secondary Witnesses: N/A Time of Incident: 8:41 Real Time: 5:05 EST Location of Incident: Company Bulletin Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ ] - Neglect of Duty [ ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [x] - Misconduct [ ] - Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: Head of Security Cornelius Huizhong continues to display unworkplacelike conduct. Multiple times including messages of religious nature in offical documentation. Plainly written, this habit is in poor posture, an employee of the SCC, especially one in a management position, should avoid displays putting the company in poor light with unprofessional, unworkplacelike behavior. Submitted Evidence: Below are several screenshots of published documents and messages Huizhong published on the SCC Bulletin. Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [X] - Yes [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: N/A, As Mr Hoizhong's conduct happened on the Company Bulletin. Actions taken: N/A Additional Notes: N/A
  14. The way I visualized working would be to have a common role locked behind an access flag that every single horizon job has Then taking every stationbound and wall intercom on the horizon and making them /horizon subtypes (that are set to this new 'restricted' intercom common channel), so that the normal intercoms and stationbounds on offships are automatically not effected It'd be a bit of busywork but it should be pretty straightforward and would definitely help with every round being consumed by l4d2, konyanger edition
  15. Outboard's been here a bit. Last command whitelisted around 6 years ago, I'd say he would be fully acquainted with what comes with the role. And as for his characters, he roleplays them with enough seriousness that he'd be a fine example for other players to look on, (as compared to LRP goofiness, not that there isn't a time and place for people acting silly.) My only concern is limited mechanical knowledge, but that's easily fixable. It's not like CMO or CE was listed as characters he was interested in, it would be nice to see them play more in medical and engineering if that ever does happen though.
  16. I've gotten to interact with a handful of Pocheto's characters. She's a decent RPer, and It's clear she got the 'thinking logically' ipc worldview down pat. I say let her boop
  17. +1 I can understand complaints about bloat, but this seems like small thing with enough use cases to be warranted. I already know a few characters that fit in the "Reinstated dreg" niche in regards to lowborn-turned-highborn, and separating those "higher class peasants" from the "peasant-peasants" may make VMR feel properly lower class. Due to VMR already being treated like reinstated dreg in enough cases, I definitely support any way to open up more avenues for obvious nonnobles.
  18. +1! I've only really seen Lorraine Panosian and Biting Teeth Retreating, but from what I've seen, Pocheto RPs characters well. Especially regarding fully fleshed-out characters (with personal views, interests, etc) as opposed to sum-of-their-parts with species and origin, I think letting them chitter would be a benefit.
  19. BYOND Key: HanSolo1519 (HanSolo1519#0632) Total Ban Length: Until appealed Banning staff member's Key: @Melariara Reason of Ban: Immature/Lewd jokes Reason for Appeal: Taken out of the perspective of chasing attention with cheap, gross jokes, I see how unfunny, gross, and uncomfortable they were. My intention, at the time, was never to make anyone uncomfortable, it was an attention-seeking, an easy way to get 🤨 reactions in chat while bored. Looking back on it, I can see just how unfunny it was, and more than that, how uncomfortable it was. That sort of 'humor' had no place here, and being warned in the first place should have been enough of a wake-up call, not the "Be a little safer with the 'toeing the line' jokes" I interpreted it as. I apologize.
  20. Personally, I hope that we keep the storytelling aspect of it, despite whatever we do with it. Even if it's 'Keep them in permabrig for transfer, they'll be borged offscreen'.
