To whichever governmental bodies that decide upon requests and dictates matters such as this, we, the people of The Republic of Biesel request that you officially recognize ATLAS, also known as the Sol National Union for what it is. A xenophobic hate group. This group with their backwards ideals have no place in civilized society, let alone ours. Not only have they been the puppet masters for Sol’s latest anti-xeno laws, but it is in their very name that they are the SOL National Union. They are the people who applauded Frost invading our peaceful nation after they starved us of foreign trade. They are they ones who turned their heads while Solarian Marines killed innocent Bieselites, including a personal friend of his own who has been declared a hero when he threw himself onto a grenade. Despite implicitly supporting xenophobic nationalists through inaction to denounce themselves from the larger party who is outwardly xenophobic more and more everyday, their very name implies that they are against our Republic, and are here to plant seeds of dissension so that the next Admiral Frost will not fail. Just recently they have shown their true colours by moving their base of operations to a Sol regulated military vessel within our space. One needs only to think for one second why they would ever have a foreign regulated vessel in our space, orbiting our capital planet, to see that something is amiss. And yet in the very same news article where this is revealed, they try to wave their hand and make them seem like the benevolent with offers of charity. Not only have they been losing grounds, quitely literally in one case, on Biesel, but also in Sol, where their xenophobia has finally gone too far in the eyes of their public. The decision to bar Tajara completely from Sol has been the dividing grounds, but far from their first xenophobic law championed by ATLAS. It started with the pull-out of the Solarian Navy from space above Adhomai. This was innocent and totally understandable on it’s own at the time, but it was simply the beginning. Then came the aptly named Tajaran Exclusion Act, who’s name tells a story of their true intentions. A want to exclude an entire race from their space. Then they came closer to their goal, the president of Sol willingly sending as many Tajara as he could back to Adhomai as they formed Martial Law to suppress their own peoples. 50,000 Tajara to the first to be sent away, with untolds more after the the too short two-week deadline to obtain citizenship or official documents somehow excluding them. Then they made the infamous Unathi Study public, where scientists solely funded by ATLAS reported that they had ‘found’ that Unathi were inferior to humans wholly based on their race. These findings reporting that Unathi were less intelligent than humans, less civilized, and less evolved. Not only was this study obviously fabricated at the wish of official ATLAS funding, but when the leaders of other nations condemned the study and ATLAS, they tried their hardest to scrub the study from public eyes, deleting it anywhere they could. Next came the minor incident where ATLAS Senators needed to be removed from the Parliament building of Sol by police because they could not act in a civilized manner in front of foreign diplomats.Afterward, an ATLAS official held a speech on the event, and said, in completely their own words. “The Tajara are stuck in an endless war caused by their own backward society. Now they come here to continue their rampage. We have to stop them, for the safety of our families. If the Prime Minister isn't willing to protect our homes from savages, then it falls to us! Hurrah for the black flag, and hurrah for humanity!” To summarize the xenophobic remarks just in those five sentences; Calling the Tajara backwards, insinuating that immigrants in Sol were there to rampage, calling Tajara savages, and then implying hostilities against Tajara, saying that if the Prime Minister won’t ‘protect’ them from Tajara, they would do it themselves, extralegally. This being all the more threatening when you remember that ATLAS has a militant arm of their organization, the Artemis Initiative. On the subject of the Artemis Initiative, the next big public blunder for ATLAS comes from them, when they armed terrorists who would later detonate a bomb in the parliament of a foreign power, supposedly, but never confirmed, at the order of Sol’s president. Then came the events of the Invasion of Biesel, and eventually the talks of ending the embargo on our space. On Frost, an ATLAS senator stated publicly, “Admiral Frost acted in the defense of the Alliance and with the interests of humanity in mind” With everything above in mind, it seems abundantly clear. ATLAS is less of a political party, and more of a hate group that has somehow infiltrated a foreign government and gain popularity by spreading their backward way of thinking into their people, and our now trying to spread it more to foreign entities so they can have their way. A way paved with hate, hate that should never be tolerated. And that hate is toward Xenos, and humans that do not agree with their ideals. And they will do whatever it is to try and reach that goal where those two groups either exist away from them, or do not exist at all. He is not the first, nor will he be the last to see the similarities between ATLAS and the old NSDAP. He has spoken many times about how they are following a similar path to Hitler’s Germany. Dehumanization of their perceived enemies, like the Unathi and the Tajara, and then the attempted ‘Anschluss’ of Biesel. During a trip to Sol for business reasons, he was stopped by a political commentator and asked what he thought of the recent law being forced through to exclude all Tajara from Sol. He can forgive the misspelling of his name, but they did something worse. They protected ATLAS from his harsh criticisms, spelling instead something horrible where that party is protected from being criticised too much in public light. It is in that light, he will repeat his entire response for whomever reads this. “He does very limited business here in the Alliance, and surely this ban will affect his personal and professional life, but not to an incredible extent. How he feels, however, is another matter. His cowokers always riff on him for being interested in human history and affairs. But he could tell this was coming. Humanity is repeating their past follies, and none of them see the danger that ATLAS brings to not only Sol, but the galaxy as whole. It's like they're trying to be the new Nazis of humanity, following in the footsteps of Hitler. Except this time there won't be a Soviet Union to help beat them down. In his humble opinion, GAIA should distance themselves from ATLAS, cut the head of the snake before it poisons them and humanity.” And once more, it is his humble opinion, that we, as the Republic of Biesel, should distance ourselves from this group, and the hate they try to poison us with. And to signify that, he will be the first here to sign his name in this petition against hate. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wN4J_KexStHFD__9TMmzuS9AzZO07pJCYSLcGrc-YwE/edit?usp=sharing

[Denied] Absynth science jobban appeal
Jboy2000000 replied to Absynth's topic in Unban Requests Archive
Ill just throw in my opinion here, and say Im against an unban here. Not only because you never seem to grasp that you shouldn't be bringing mutated plants outside of science, but because you played xenobotanist, after you said Sofia Pennington retired from xenobotany to close an investigation against her, and then later came back and started playing xenobotany again, doing the same thing that started the report that made you say she retired in the first place. -

Now fixed so that the ode of the paper doesn't happen on the forum for ease. Just go through and remove the extra space on every center, bold, and line break.

Ive gone and taken the time to make this, in character, an updated rig inventory checklist, since the one given has been outdated for a long time. I worn before hand though, this is more than a single sheet, and will need to be spread across six papers to fit with the games text and field limit. The top of each page will need this disclaimer. And each page will contain one of the categories below. And this is optional, but I ask that you put this on the last page of the bundle you end up with, since this took more than an hour of my time to make.

Chronic Disabilities/medical conditions: Input available
Jboy2000000 replied to Nanako's topic in Archive
I don't think it'd be a stretch to allow blind people onto the station. In fact, people have argued for blind characters before. Including lord Boot, for one. "There are only a handful of blind doctors in this country." http://www.nbcnews.com/id/7318398/ns/he ... -earns-md/ And I found this gem: http://academia.stackexchange.com/quest ... fessorship "This was motivated by thinking on the russian and blind mathematician Lev Poyntriagin who made important work in topological groups and control theory." However, we have to consider one thing: Unless I abhorrently misinterpreted the intentions of the OP, I don't think this shaman will be acting in the role of a scientist, or Command/security/engineering level jobs where sight is a major factor in the job. -
Im going to agree with Jen, and Sue, and to that extent, Ezuo. Cloning doesn't need to be totally reinvented and changed because some people think med as a clone factory. It'd also probably be the way that would least alienate people who don't use the forums, and have the changes thrust upon them, which no amount of sniggering about how much they should have used the forum would fix.

Type: Organization Founding/Settlement Date: March 16th, 2455 Region of Space: S'rand'marr, Adhomai Controlled by: People's Republic of Adhomai Self-Governed Other Snapshot information: A group founded by the Republic happy, faithful workers of Adhomai under the People's Republic, the National Alliance Society of Harr'masir are steadfast in devote in their love of President Hadii and his republic, and his industrialization, creation of jobs, and wealth on Adhomai for the betterment of all Tajara. Long Description: Founded on a short time ago, NASH is based in Harr'masir, their namesake. The society is situated in an industrial city in the north-west crook of Zarragh Lake, far away from the harsh realities of the civil war, while people across the ocean on the other continents face ALA on the daily. The Society was found on the believe that Hadii's policies and industrialization of the state will, and already is, leading the Tajaran people to a golden age. A majority of the Society are low-wage factory workers, and a smaller portion are the people who own those factories. Another majority, most of those Tajara are Zhan, making up a resounding 80%, with all of them being part of the aforementioned factory workers. The Society aims to help employ people seeking jobs, properly educate and prepare the next generation to pick up the mantle, and report enemies and problem starters to the state. That last one, only if completely baseless, poultry rumours, are to be believed.

Yaksaya Large, insectoids they were confined to the warmer regions of Moghes before the nuclear holocaust of their land. Now with much more hot, desert like terrain, once isolated pockets of these creatures, and their 'family' of symbiotic workers are beginning to explode in the wastelands, far away from civilizations where their nests have yet to be burned. These are the largest of the three, said to grow as large as Yodha Shel, or maybe even larger, they're much the same. They both share their armoured design, however the larger, armoured outside is actually the creature's skeleton, made of thick chitin, known to be able to stop small caliber bullets, and even thwart lasers. That, combined with their ripper blade like jaws makes them a powerful foe to even modern survivours who reside in the wastelands. Paska One of the creatures to stay with the Yaksaya, these are meant to be the defenders of the hives. The Yaksaya are known to fight off Unathi, and these too, on the rarest of occasions, these are meant to fight off other wildlife, away from the young and their supply of insect muck food, and bring supplies to the hive when needed. The size of small lambs, to use terms humans can understand, these have pincer like, snapping jaws that are made to clamp down on creatures, trapping them in place so they can be jabbed with their poisonous tail spike. However, while poisonous, they won't wait for them to die of what they inject, instead, they've been observed stabbing things to death with the spike. Waskah The very last of the insectoid 'family' roaming Mohes' wasteland. These are very small creatures, typically not even as large as the typical Unathi's skull, snoot not included. These are the food suppliers of the hives. They take meat brought to the hive from the Paskat, and eat it, breaking it down for the nutrients IT needs, and then expelling and rich paste, with surrounded by an organic sack composed of thick slime produced is the Waskah's stomach. The slime and the slurry paste provide enjoyable nutrients to the Yaksaya and Paskat. The odd slurry and goop has even been described as 'oddly satisfying' by some Unathi. Plant. Shipzkerl A type of wild grain, also know as 'Spear Wheat' because of the spikes that protect the grains from animals who would otherwise seek to eat it. While effective against animals, Unathi are widely undeterred, comparing the plant to to Terra rye.

Ive not yet finished reading this, but I can already say that I don't like that idea, and Im confused on one point specifically. For starters, the thing I hate is the 'cycle.' I don't like the whole, research over time persistence thing, research as it is not is annoying to get through, and a round is always done before science can ever get to the interesting techs to work with and roleplay out experiments, but I know other people love the idea and have wanted it forever since Boot brought the idea up... God knows how long ago. But what Im confused about, is how do we explain the cycles. Do we just constantly reset time every single month, and stay in a time loop forever, or do we just handwave the fact that advanced technologies just don't exist anymore, not even prototypes. You could argue it's like that now, but our research isn't persistent, we don't spawn with advanced technologies, and people have, in the past, explain it as that we're not researching something new for the first time, it's that we're finding new ways to advance NanoTrasen approved prototypes in a database, and there are minute differences that go unnoticed in common use when something new is created. But how do you explain it here? We have advanced machines spawning, becoming fully integrated into the station, and then taken away at a snap after the end of a round one day, with no trace. What happened to them, why did NT take them away, and why do we need to generate these research points again to get things that are possibly even worse than what research we have previously?

Funeral rites/procedures for different species
Jboy2000000 replied to ShameOnTurtles's topic in Lore Questions
"You shalt not defile the body of one who now rests in Messa's Forever." Is one of the 'Ten Commandments' of the cats. Basically, when they die, their souls flee their body, and become one with the Goddess of Death, Messa. Things like cannibalism, harvesting organs, blood, etc is highly taboo for people who follow S'rand'marr. Beside that, a funeral is just being buried, in soil, or under snow and ice if the ground is too frozen solid. Please note that this is subject to repeal from the current Taj Loremin, Mofo, Im only coming in here to say this since I wrote the bulk of the religion lore for S'Rand'marr. -
Im down for another game of it. Now that I know what Im doing, Im sure I won't be as shit as I was the first time

@OneTajaran He comes here again to talk about the burning of S'Rendarr's Hand and Messa's Tear on NanoTrasen station. The report he made to the CCIA has finally been acknowledged. By being closed. The CCIA cited that /TAJARANS/ isolated pockets of Tajara smoke it, and it's intended us is medicinal by eating it, and that suddenly makes it okay for them to do this, and called the Parivara, a small sect of the religion, citing they have a religious adviser for these matters, but cannot even tell there is a difference between the worshipers of the Goddesses, and a human only looking to do it for a sick pleasure. This message comes with a warning, more than a message. CCIA and NanoTrasen are not your friends. This is only proof of this. If they do not even want to protect the religious sanctity of those with botched religious "facts." He doesn't feel like he is at danger of him lying if he said that there was no fact checking by a religious expert on this matter. Poslan Kur'yer-Isra -

When the subject came up, Avery Bell went out of his way to sit in front of him on the shuttle, burn S'Rendarr's Hand in his pipe, and blow the smoke in his face while mocking him. Earlier in the shift, he took the seeds of Messa's Tears and S'Rendarr's Hand out of the public seed vending machine to protect them, meaning to get these, he had to go well out of his way to get them. There we no gardeners or xenobotanists working this shift, so to get to the other available machines, he also had to break into areas he didn't have access to, just so he can get the seeds, and then smoke them. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: Actions taken: Additional notes: He is not going to stop reporting his doing this until you give it the attention it deserves. This is a hate crime, and if you continue to purposefully ignore it, he will take it the police.
