But if he wears this, how would people see his dress? Jokes aside, yeah. Ash is a good character, and I think they deserve a little bit'a flare.

I don't think this is something that people should spend time doing. The map has been a long time coming, and adding more little things that people ultimately don't care about, or contest, or can bypass should hold it off any longer.

Regarding Bluesec (Feedback/Opinions)
Jboy2000000 replied to Skull132's topic in General Announcements
Like this? They'd probably need a different visor colour. Well, that looks like a medical voidsuit, so it doesn't really apply to recolouring command. However, the face mask reminds me of the guards from Half Life 2 than a doctor. -

I actually kind of like the sound of blue on a light coloured silver. NSS Aesthetics. That aside, that's only if we need to change command. People not being able to tell the difference between command and security was the, stupid, reason people used to try and stop bluesec, which never actually happened when we started using bluesex sprites. -
Regarding Bluesec (Feedback/Opinions)

I love bluesec, and in my opinion, bluesec and redsec actually do make a very important distinction, beside what people think and feel are pretty. Look at the colour red, what you think? Hot, vibrant, active. Blue on the other hand is calm, cool. There have several studies looking into what different team colours do to gamers. Red teams, no matter the player, have more aggressive strategies, and they tend to think they're stronger based solely on their colour, so they try to overwhelm the enemy. On the other hand, in team based games where people play blue, they think more, and shoot less, tending to beat the enemy slowly but surely. I think I noticed security be calmed and more controlled when we switched to bluesec, thanks to this effect that colours have on gamers, and I think a calmer, more controlled security is what want. Plus bluesec looks better than redsec, so yes. -
Don't we have a chemistry borg, made specifically for chemistry? I thought we did, or am I going insane-r

Torn is a text based crime RPG. You work your way up a crime ladder, doing easy crimes and work up to more advanced stuff. You start off looking for cash on the street, move up to pick pocketing, and down the line you're burning down government buildings and assassinating government officials. In hire levels you can also do legit businesses to earn clean money. Buys stocks in a living stock market that raises and falls depending on user activity, start a company, or a criminal faction that other players can join, and even have a real job as a lawyer, a member of the armed forces, a doctor, or some other less glorious jobs like a casino floor workers or a member of the local legal arms dealer. Theres even a dynamic mission system, and everyone gets random, unique missions. A player take a loan from the NPC loan shark and never pay it back? They're on the list for you to shoot to pieces. Someone decide to leave an NPC spouse to marry a player? Do something to make them happy. You do all of this how you want, Ive even made a secondary account once just trying to live completely clean, and it's possible, if a little boring. Check it out if it sounds interesting to you.

[Denied] - Vaurca Application, Mr.Fagetti
Jboy2000000 replied to Mr.Fagetti's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Im gonna be blunt, I don't see this being accepted for a number of reasons. For one, this is your first post on the forums, and the only character on your character list is the one you're applying for, and both of those are generally frowned up by the community when you're making an application. People expect to see you around a bit, know you before to have anything to say about you. Secondly, the backstory is underwhelming, and I, myself, don't think it really stands up to requirements of a whitelist, which means you're supposed to display that you know what the race's lore is, and that you will be interesting with the characters you create with it, and it's just barely two paragraphs. And lastly, you don't seem to actually have a good grasp on our lore either. It'd be virtually impossible to steal a Vaurca egg, if they even do lay eggs, and you say in your app that you expect to be discriminated against like Vox and Skrell, but that isn't close to right. For starters, Skrell aren't discriminated against, they're on par with humans more or less, and Vox are hardly a thing in our lore, they're around, but they don't work on space station, they're just dirty space nomads that only bumble in NT space on a rare occasion. -

[Inactive]Staff Complaint - TishinaStalker
Jboy2000000 replied to Chaznoodles's topic in Staff Complaints Archive
I think I have a place to talk here as I was in the round, the father of Gus Chubs, and Ive been in a similar situation before. So, in the round, Gus Chubs gave the AI laws to make sure people gave him food, and as Chaz said, exchanged promotions and ID alterations for food. Which, this probably isn't something a loyalty implanted head of staff should do. However, I will agree with everyone here that this WAS fun and interesting. However, fun and interesting or funny doesn't seem to count for much anymore, because I can think of two situations where people have tried to go behind people's backs and go right to staff members trying to get me outright banned and my whitelist removed, and one case where I did get my whitelist removed for doing something interesting and out of the norm. I, of course, am talking about the thunderdome incident that got my head of staff whitelist stripped. In my second whitelistingening, Tish said this as to why the whitelist was stripped, and I think it'll apply here as well. So, really, this is me speaking, just wait a week or more and re-apply to get it back. -
If I may suggest, could we make it possible to make really shitty, semi-homemade lasers? Like a frame made of platesteel that can only hold enough parts to make it work, lenses with glass and steel, and powered by a battery? Like, only able to shoot one shot before it breaks/explodes. or discharges the battery in one shot so it need to be replaced instead of charged in a charger. I think a really shit, laser musket esque looking thing would be cool.

I can get behind this. And because this isn't the whitelist section and no one can stop me. PLUS ONE

I just remembered my forum mod status shows instead of CCIA. So, theres that. In case you missed the announcements section at the top of the forums, theres a new set of rules coming up soon.

Yes, yes, and no. I know what book you're talking about when you say no binary, but I say that it's a bit funny, and makes sense in a way, that an IPC or synthetic would write a book in binary code.

I enjoy the rules that says "[LINK GOES HERE, too lazy to search atm.]" and "[LINK DEA’S FT GUIDE HERE]." But those aside, I also have a few worries. "No suiciding to leave the round (ghost or use cryogenic storage)" I don't like the rule advising people to ghost. It should just suggest to use cryo, because if people ghost in hard to reach areas, they're just going to take up spots that others can use to join the game. Beside that, everything else feels and seems solid, baring spelling and grammar mistakes that Id be nitpicky to bring up.

What I think, and hope with all my heart, Boot is getting at with the "books that are too long look ugly" thing is that we want (NEED) is pages in our books. And as a writer of books in the database. 10 of them so far, Ive not once been able to actually fit it all in on one page before the fucking character limit got me. Not only that but the character limit is odd and annoying. What kind of stopping limit is 3059?

So after deliberation between me and Owen, we have came to this conclusion, that this is how the Aurora Universe would be broken up in Elder Scrolls terminology. Sol is the Empire Biesel is Skyrim Jargon territory is the Summerset Isles Adhomai is Senchal Moghes is Blackmarsh Vox Apex are Chimer Modern Day Vox are Falmer Vaurca are some weird Akaviri race Diona are Sloads Nar'sie is Molag Bal Cultists the Mythic Dawn Lord Singulo is Alduin Vampires are vampire lords from Harkon's Court

Shout out something stereotypical, like "Hello!?" or "Is anyone there?!" Hearing your feminine voice should make things clear.

I like the idea, but what kind of mini-game can you add in a BYOND game?

Add IAA's to "Species approved for Head of Staff positions"
Jboy2000000 replied to Dreamix's topic in Archive
IPC's are allowed to be IA's, according to Owen, who got the information from... Somewhere, I assume -
I wanted to share this because it was pretty funny, and it seems like this man generally enjoys life, and I think you guys will like it too.

My opinion still stands. People wanted two surgery theaters, not just medical players. We have two now, and I don't want that changed. There is literally no reason we shouldn't have two. The original post really needs to be updated to show what's been changed.
