Necropolis Industries
Jboy2000000 replied to Jboy2000000's topic in Lore Canonization Applications Archive
Im not going to lie, this was inactive for so long I up and forgot I even made this, funnily enough I was thinking about making an app about it again. Anyway, no ties to NT, but its big. Any kind of intergalactic conglomerate is going to be big. I was going to do something like Sierra's KATANA thing, except I made 4-5 characters and an AI, that all ultimately got deleted in my character list because of thread dis-activity. -
I can confirm that they spawnable wizard hardsuit is not wearable by xenos, and that trying to modify it for your specie turns it into a generic hardsuit, like the one that spawns in the engineer outpost. I like option one, it seems a lot less cumbersome than option two. Not to mention it could make way for antag only characters (which Ive wanted to make for a very long time)

The bar has one too, I think. If not, ignore me. Also, there are three chem dispensers. Two in chemistry, one in science.

If posting the same opinion is useless, why are you here? You're not the first person to say you like the rule, so why would you post? More people posting with the same opinion isn't useless, it shows that more people agree with said opinion.

I don't want to sound cynical, but do any of you really think arguing this will go anywhere? The thread this rule is about already says plenty about what the staff thing about opinions of the community. Fighting a censor of opinions with opinions seems futile, doesn't it?

Furry/Firstact (Rasul and Safiya Character Complaint)
Jboy2000000 replied to a topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Why would you expect a geneticist to go out into a mostly destroyed station? They were waiting for an engineer to come and bring them bodies, like they said. And so what if if cuddles and snuggles are priority none? Its not like they're hardened and disaster trained. To me, this complaint just seems really stupid, its like saying that RP should be be thrown way back in priority during a disaster, even if you're not currently helping or dealing with the disaster at that moment. If thats the case, maybe someone should write a list of what you can and can't use as a roleplay topic whenever the station is in a state of dismay. -
Furry/Firstact (Rasul and Safiya Character Complaint)

If you bothered to read Furry's defense, they stayed behind because there were more people that needed help, and I doubt they were the only two non-SSD people to stay behind. -
Furry/Firstact (Rasul and Safiya Character Complaint)
Jboy2000000 replied to a topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Whats the problem again? Its not like either of them were actually ERPed, or Safi locked herself away from the station to talk and make fun with Rasul, she kept doing her job. I know if I worked somewhere, and a giant fire killed more than a few people, Id want someone to talk to, cuddle with to take my mind from the horror after the shock stopped. Now, realistically, that would take more than a few minute, but hey, we're playing a roleplay game on a timer here, there has to be some leeway for time and fun. People always say that disaster and antags can bolster roleplay, but when people actually take a chance with a disaster to actually roleplay people trying to comfort each other in wake of it, its complained about? -
I think putting jobs and species behind a paywall would be a shite idea, but something like promised spots in events or colourful OOC names sounds alright. But how would we even know someone donated to BYOND? BYOND probably won't give away donor information, I doubt players would give away the type of information it would take to prove they donated, so that would basically leave donating somewhere else, and then having someone else donate it in mass, but I highly doubt people would trust that either, or placing it on faith. I don't need to tell you why faith doesn't work.

Arguably, you can say that they get away with it because of some Victor's Justice mumbo jumbo, but capital punishment, at least in the SA and Republic, should be well documented, and possibly public statistics. I can understand that adhering and tracking every law, in every planet, in every space faring nation would be hard and/or impossible, but surely there'd be at least some reprimandations but something like this.

Arkin100's Head of Staff Application
Jboy2000000 replied to Arkin100's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I know Ive had interactions with Arkin in the past, via PDA and in person, but they've never had any lasting impression on me, take that as you will. However, he does go out of his way to inform command of happenings in Engineering, which is VERY admirable, I wish lots more people did that. Also, look at his app, this above and beyond any other application for anything Ive ever seen here, this is like a Meowy's flavour text of an app, 10/10, cheers mate. -
Thats good, now if I run for Aurora Mayor I can promise TWO executions a day for the town's pleasure, and you'll be the first two up!
-
In the interest of continuing my line of semi-political purging of the undesirables, I bring you my NEXT petition. Depose Jackboot-Senpai! The most heinous of his crimes are detailed here.

So, even though the the SA and Republic are sighed under the Luna Convention. they still both execute people, despite it being a clear violation of it? And if all the alien races needed to sign it for trading right, like was said in a different thread, why is execution legal in all the other (completed) race's laws?
-
Basically, what are the laws of war in this new, crazy universe? This is spawned from a little idea that popped in my head, of nuke ops hiding in the chapel to evade security, citing the Geneva Convention's protection of religious buildings. But then I realized the Geneva Convention might not mean shit anymore. I expect the SA might might still used it, slightly modified, the everyone else would make their own, though I don't thing the Unathi or Tajarans would have their own.

If you think those are bad, I know the backstories all the NV companions off the back of my hand.

Tenz, a bit of advice for collage, however, this only applies if you're in America. Don't. Collage is anything BUT worth it.

I think you mean "you're." It would be YOU'RE a nerd.

Alright, context. Im currently watching a playthrough of Nazi based FPS Wolfenstein. In the video, the LPer comments on the fact that the Nazi's had tesla coils on their armour, so they made the connection between this, and the Enclave armour in Fallout 3. Thus, THIS happened in the Youtube comments section. Moi: Actually the Tesla armour is an upgraded version of the X-01 Power Armour, or more commonly known as the Fallout 3 Enclave Power Armour, what most people don't know is that the Enclave, back before the Great War, had access to Alien technology from Area 51, they used that technology to create their power armour, their weapons, and high ranking officers of the Enclave are said to be given unmodified alien weapons as a sign of honour. Thats why the Enclave power armour is much more advanced than the T-51b and T-45d power armour the Brotherhood has. Someone Else: I guess you could say the SS Paranormal Division is the Aryan Brotherhood of Steel, huh? Moi: Actually, they're more closely related to the The Master, ironically enough, but in terms of technological advancement, they're kind of like the Brotherhood of Steel Outcasts, at this point at least. They're technological scavengers, stealing magic baubles from underwater Jews, much like how you, in Fallout 3, can turn in technology to an Outcast Paladin, including alien technology, the closest thing to Jewish magic in the Fallout universe. Comparing the Nazi's in New Order, however, they're closest to the Enclave itself, with much more high tech stuff than anyone, and even super soldiers like the Nazi super soldiers in New Order (See: Frank Horrigan). Also, one thing I forgot to mention in my last comment, the Tesla Armour in Fallout is made to help defend against Laser and Plasma weaponry, I guess the tesla coils are meant to absorb some of the electric shock. The armour displayed in this video, the coils are most likely there, in my mind, are there to because I think those suits might be very primitive exo-suits, like what we have today, to help increase speed and range of movement. Or they could just be there to make the character models look cool, either or.

Just to put those faces on Jackboot's face (and because I forgot to mention that they're all comedic and not at all serious) If no one finds these funny/comedic, I guess me posting this only to say that it's for comedic reasons won't make much sense, and then Ill only look like a bigger freak. If these aren't funny, you can laugh at me instead.

If thats the case, why can't IPC's be captains, HoS's and HoP's? Why are they in the short seat with Diona where they only get to be in three of the heads instead 5/6? Back when IPC's were begrudgingly allowed to be ANY type of head, it was said they were excluded because they could be hacked and would be dangerous.

I think you're trying to make things simple when they're complicated. For this to work, we would have to give the high value target to random players. If the alternative is giving the spot to DO's, than the game mode can't work when theres no DO's on, or no DO's who want to play the target, and then nothing good happens because now you have a heavily armed individual with no target.
