  1. I know that, statistically speaking, it would be very unlikely that one of the 1,000 forum members of Aurora would just so happen to also be one of the few people harmed in the attack, but still I suppose I thought I'd check.
  2. Do we have have any Belgians on our server? Is everyone all right?
  3. This would be pretty cool. I feel like it would really help for charting out the waters of the universe in one central place, but there is an issue with this in the form of someone dropping in and making absolutely ridiculous lore. What mechanism would there be to prevent or deter attempts to do this?
  4. Talen-kai tries his best to put his good perception skills to work, but unless there's something very out of ordinary, it would be no use. "Have the Hagravensss kidnapped anyone elsssse? Isss there a more recent kidnapping locatiiion which might have fressssh evidenccce?"
  5. My interpretation of it is that the cat is wearing an ottersuit, and is climbing out of it through a hole in the shoulder. EDIT: Identity discovered.
  6. " Oh, hello there. I wasss wondering if you could take me to the crime ssscene."

  8. (( Just put me in whenever you feel it's appropriate, here's my action for when you decide to )) Talen-kai goes to the manor and rasps his scaled knuckles on the front door.
  9. Have you ever been playing vidya, and you thought to yourself: MAN! I REALLY WANNA PLAY A GAME WHERE IT'S INCREDIBLY EASY TO DIE AND ALL DEATHS ARE PERMANENT! Well, then Ancient Domains of Mystery (or ADOM) might be the perfect game for you. In the spring of 2014, I discovered this game at about the same time I discovered Space Station 13, and like SS13, I quit because I couldn't learn the controls. And, further like SS13, I decided to pick it up later and learn it for once to tap into its fun. It's a roleplaying game where you have to seriously work to manage your inventory, not go broke, stay fed, fight through dungeons, and spent days traveling and potentially starving to death on the road. It's incredibly hard, but every little challenge overcome feels like a massive reward. Also, I hope you're used to terrible graphics, because it has them. (For some reason, Puush refused to take a screenshot for me, so here's a shot of someone getting totally wrecked by a pack of jackals. Sometimes you get trapped in encounters that you know you're going to die in.)
  10. On old code, I OOCly discovered way too many lings this way. I think I've fully come around to supporting keepin LOOC as character names.
  11. Yeah, but the archetypes that were available were pretty diverse. Maybe an Asiatic faction would be interesting, but I think the setting is actively working to prevent weebs from entering. Calradia, faction-wise, is pretty much thirteenth century Europe, minus Byzantium. I'm still pretty excited about the polish, but I hope there aren't horrible glitches like in warband. Like becoming Emperor of Calradia, but the last faction won't go away even though they have no land and their only lord is nowhere on the map... I also, need this game in my life.
  12. GREAT GENES.
  13. Talen-Kai thanks the local, and proceeds in the direction of Bjorn's manor. ((Presumably the alchemy would've taken some time, so would this be sometime after Garvunn went there?))
  14. Talen-kai decides the best way to find this would be to find Bjorn the Housecarl of the Thane. With this end in mind, he asks where he can find him.
  15. Rather than diluting the liquid, Talen-kai will merely collect the potions bringing his total to two health and three stamina potions. With the alchemical tasks completed, he throws all his dead and lost ingredients into a waste bin, and decides to go search for the scene of the thane's daughter's disappearance.
  16. They do, I was converted just last round.
  17. So, a round of vampire just concluded, and in this round, as visitor, I was enthralled and told to go cave the captains head in. After the whole round ended, and it listed the antagonists, It just said the vampires names instead of also listing the enthralled. Could we add enthralled people to the list of antagonists at vampire rounds so people don't think they're just chucklefucking when they're following orders? Especially since attempting to murder a captain is something pretty serious if one were self-antagging.
  18. Hmmm, someone asked about factional units, but I don't think I remember what was said on the subject. It was in the Q&A at the end, or the question may have been about towns and cultures. I do really hate the Khergits, but mostly out of annoyance rather than difficulty. In Sieges they were the absolute worst, and as Rhodoks I was always able to handle them.
  19. After reading this, I've been sufficiently convinced to flop my previous post and turncoat to being in support of the current system of LOOC, if not the current condition of LOOC being used as a salt mine, a different issue altogether.
  20. I, for one, would really like the return of ckey's in LOOC. Since it is OOC discussion, the vague idea of a traitor using a fake ID and possibly getting into a LOOC argument with another's name, or possibly a changeling takeover and potentially using LOOC with another's name really strikes me as... having high potential for bad times. Maybe it's just some imagined problems on my part, but I really liked when LOOC used ckeys instead.
  21. LIVE GAMEPLAY DEMO Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord is on its way, and now instead of occasional screenshots and such we have a full 30 minute gameplay demo. As you can see if you watch the video, the graphics are gorgeous (compared to previous Mount and Blade titles) and there is a significant increase in customization options for ones character. Amazingly enough, they've even added Faces that move! But jokes aside, I'm hyped for this new game. Set years before Mount and Blade: Warband, this is a prequel which takes place sometime around or before the Empire of Calradia which everyone is trying to reform in Warband. However, the map has been expanded farther eastward, and all though many of the factions are reminiscent of their future selves, they are rather different. Thoughts? Hype? Let's discuss!
  22. You either retire early... or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. :,( Batman Harvey Dent references aside, hope you come back sometime. Thanks for teaching me a ton about science and being an all around good friend.
  23. The temptation to drink begins to creep on on Talen-kai. " I did not know I would have ssso many ingredientsss... perhaps three more drinksss would not hurt." After licking his scaley lips, he thinks about his companions, and decides it would be too much of a let down for his team to start drinking... until the job is done that is. He'll take a walk around the tavern to get as many empty bottles as he can to collect the excess. Hagraven's are bitches, and it would be better to be prepared than not.
  24. That would be fantastic to see, but perceived issue by me isn't on the supplier side of things but rather on the user. If there was some way to make this work though, than that would be awesome.
  25. On the subject of legal drug trade on Aurora, I really don't have any input there. On the subject of illegal drug trade, I've yet to really see this play out well. Aside from one time on the outpost when me and a couple of coworkers took mindbreaker toxin and contained our activities there, what I usually see are people just kinda RPing as slobbering drugged up jerks. I've never seen narcotics facilitate good RP on the station proper, and it almost always winds up with someone attacking others and trying to deflect OOC consequences by blaming the drugs.
