  1. My only concern is him putting a monkey on his head and walking into the slimes. Joking aside, tom does look like a suitable RD, both looks and personality, though id like it more if he wasn't so cheap about helping other departments, the OOC purpose of science is improving other department's equipment. +1 from me
  2. 1+ from me, glory is a good guy to have around both OOCly and ICly and will probably have a less violent vorekah than the majority ive met
  3. This guy's RP is top notch, not only does he play his characters perfectly, he improves your immersion, with realistic and tasteful RP of Ex-Convicts this guy is exactly what we need as a dionae player. -1 from me he blackmailed me into doing this, help!
  4. You can get 100 reliability batteries by syncing and asking robotics to make some
  5. It's one of the main reasons. I kept pressing ; when i was supposed to press : as an AI and kind of embarrased myself...It was really annoying..I also could not see the text properly but whatever.. Still stalking the forum..... Use . Instead of :
  6. Dont we have dialyisis or whatever in the sleeper? Or doea that not work till its in the blood stream?
  7. We could have it check antag options instead, maybe add it to other antag that convert
  8. I prefer the glass be nerf'd instead, a break incase of emergency is better than having EMTs running with fireaxes to save the xenobiologist for the 4th time because the AI is afk. Would force people to explain their actions and take responsibility for taking THE AXE
  9. Why do DOs have ass ugly white berets? Who made those? How were they even hired?
  10. Space is around you in all directions and you cant have EVA access, EVA is the lifeboat of the station, i think the only reason breaking into it is considered a high security area is because magboots were a traitor objective, i mean if it really was it wouldn't be in a high way traffic area with only 2 airlocks to grab a suit.
  11. Why dont we just add an option in character creation about implants? Checking exploitable info would show "reports about Chemist McChloride's genes/nerve system/hormones have a high chance of accepting a mind slave implant"
  12. 400+ years into the future, we have gravity generators, faster than light travel and the ability to contain and produce electricity from blackholes and you're telling me suits that fold on you are too advanced? I agree that most modules are advanced and should come out of research but in the future displayed here, i dont think its far fetched for what the vendor would offer, its just a chest piece, a helmet and a small tank, pay more for boots gauntlets etc, add job restrictions to some modules like insulated gauntlets.
  13. What you described is already in /tg/ iirc, i think we could somewhat port it, but i prefer if we made walking the norm and not running, maybe add sprinting with abnormal pain damage for those dire times
  14. The run speed is pretty damn slow, and walking is suicide tier, As it is now, everyone is always on run, which irl would look stupid. So i suggest we set walking to the current run speed, and have running at tajaran running speed BUT it would slowly give pain damage, and running in the hallways without a good reason would get you shouted at and even brigged for hooliganism. We could have tajaran walking speed the same as the current run while having them turn into nascar racers on run but increase the pain damage rate compared to hummies.
  15. If we had perfect recipes ICly why do we have the chemist job? Why not just put a machine that mixes the chemical you choose and vend it in a bottle?
  16. Sure! Can you see this feature not breaking balance? A good cornor would figure out the cause of death easily with a body scan, if you find an engineer who sufficated to death in space with a hardsuit yet their lungs are intact would mean they didnt die in vaccum. We could have people who died while neckgrabbed have a text on examine that their neck has bruises. Though id note that strangling is a very poor choice of murder, tested it out before, throat slitting continously on the otherhand can kill in mere seconds
  17. The no was in quotation marks to indicate it was a joke, but that seems to have flew right over your head, you also failed to mention the second PM i sent which said that xander was actually taking care of the event and that he already spawned you your Kitty Ears and Schoolgirl Uniform, a silly a request deserved a silly answer.
  18. seeing how it only takes 2 sheets and a bit of cable coil, a 50 full stack would armor up 25 crew members, i doubt we will ever have that many Vlad Edd Mchunter onboard, worst case scenarios we would have useless stools disappearing from the chapel and the dorms
  19. ive been thinking about bay's hardsuit rigs, modules and what not. traitors get about 4 modules for hardsuits they can buy that only work with rigs, which means you either have to be RD/CE or steal the industrial or breecher chassis. so ive been thinking of adding a Rig vendor, similiar to the laptop one, where you can choose to either buy a vanilla rig, with just a chest piece, a helmet and a small emergency tank or add gauntlets, magboots and bigger tanks and some other modules for more money, and add more advanced rig modules to R&D, like the energy gun and cannon, chemical injector and RCDs. you might think "Oh no, everyone would have space suits now!" but we already have emergency suits all over the place, and honestly, personnel spacesuits for spessmen sounds a lot more likely than going to work with a back bag all day, i mean when was the last time you saw your boss or co-workers running around with bags like schoolkids? we could also add parts of the map that needs a hardsuit to check on, like some secure storage for engineering, science and security, a fast emergency delivery system for cargo where crates are bluespace mass drivered into a net in space and you have to go EVA to grab them. think of all the possibilities. oh and if you're worried about hardsuit powergaming, we could have the armor values equal to 0 and no insulation so tasers and batons would still work, maybe make them worse when you get hit in one of those hardsuits .
  20. BYOND key:Datberry Character names:Gordon Armstrong, Rob Oster, Jasper Roberts, Solomon Howard. How long have you been playing on Aurora?: almost 8 months according to the server. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: to roleplay a character involved in decision making, and that has to deal with the responsibilities and consequences of being in a command position. Why did you come to Aurora?: Realistic characters, better antags, great staff, a more fitting rule set. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplaying is playing your role, your character's role, in a story set by by everyone's characters, the gamemode, the mechanics and everything in between, in a unique mesh to create a new chapter each round. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: to organize the incompetent fools that staff your department, to fill in understaffed parts and making sure your department isn't at fault at ruining someone else's round on OOC basis. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: to be a model for a Heavy RP player, guiding new players and showing them the proper way to deal with whatever could be thrown at them depending on their character. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Steven Ashford Character age: 32 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Steve was born to a mid class family in the outer colonies, motherless, all his attention was on his father, a Police Officer, hired to keep a small research firm secure. being close to his father, they were their childhood hero, beating bad guys and protecting the innocent, trying to follow his father's steps, Steve enrolled in the police academy. on his first year, his father was caught in a accident, costing him his eyesight, being an accident unrelated to his work, treatment wasn't under insurance, and with his lowly pay he couldn't cover the costs of the surgery, retiring early, the father soon fell into depression, drinking and in the end he flung himself out of an airlock. Steven knew this future could very well be his own, he knew no one was going to cover his back, so he made the decision of dropping out of the academy, moving to the inner colonies and earning himself a Bachelors degree in business management, fresh out of his universe, he made a contract with a small research firm, the firm didnt last long it went bankrupt and he jumped ship, hopping from one failure of a business to another, failing to find any small business that could last longer than 5 years without being bought over, he sought a contract with a bigger corporation, and he knew his bet was the one that was buying all of his former business associates. What do you like about this character?: a self made man, only looking out for himself, he had an acute change from a moralist person to a very materialist man What do you dislike about this character?: after the pressure of suddenly changing his career prospects, his nerves couldn't handle the stress and he lost his hair. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: his lack of morals fit very well with nanotrasen's interests, only doing what benefits nanotrasen(aslong as it benefits him in the end) Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 6.5/10 Extra notes: I'm not too familiar with the lore, so if there's any mistakes, please point them out
  21. There's a biosuit in the gateway, reachable by anyone Theres a spare dispenser of pipe set in engineering's outpost Mining can smelt plasma and sand to make phoron windows, add rods for reinforced ones Vending machines can be built with r&d boards and stocking set for the vendor you want from cargo You can also order welder tanks, not that those ever all blowup or run out
  22. While i myself dont mind dying and waiting 30 minutes, im sure there are people who will end up with highblood pressure from the increased sodium levels. more people complaining about gank, murderboning and anything that could kill them and it's not like we need to scare our antags anymore. Id imagine people would stop talking to and avoiding people they dont trust.
  23. Have you tried breaking the glass before? Hatchets nor stunbatons nor toolboxes would even damage it, i think you would have to steal the circular saw and even that might not work
