I like this idea because traitors are no longer robusted once you disarm that gadget they had, built in abilities are always better. Though wasnt there a teleport power for support holoparasites? You were refusing direct orders from your commanding officer on code red, But that is irrelevant because you were ignoring him before he tried to shoot you up, in fact it is the reason for that. The scientist isnt the one who order this, nor does he have multi radio channels to coordinate, while the AI that reported it and the captain who ordered this do, this isn't the scientist's fault. Either the AI didn't hear about the experiments nor bothered to check with the science department or they did it on purpose. Or the captain did clear it up with the security department and you just missed it. Why do scientists need to declare they're doing science, in science? The one who brought the suit should've cleared things up. Seeing how it was with the warden its clear they were given the suit, which im guessing was an order over sec radio, that you missed.

Let me drop my 2 cents real quick. Firstly, following the chain of command is an OOC rule, you need a very strong reason to disobey your direct commander, and arguing about scientists abusing the rig is not one. Secondly, how was the scientist abusing the rig again? He was in science, doing science when the AI reported him as an intruder, i am almost sure the AI never bothered to check with the science department and just you assuming they were a valid ended y up wasting all your charge. The scientist was following the captain and RD's orders, and iirc ninja rig suits only work with the ninja ID, so that means the dumb ass name is not the scientist's fault, but that doesnt matter because BSTs are an OOC thing and should not be taken into consideration ICly, the people who were impersonating BSTs were bwoinked.

I like this idea, though it only covers your ass on meta knowledge, thats more than enough to get real balanced conflict going on im the later half, security wouldn't catch any cultists usually tell the 40ish or so mark, thats enough time to recruit people, research words and being ready to fight. Though if we do implant this, we should port's tg cult ability where you can deal a moderate amount of brute for emergency communications, since sec would start confiscating tomes if they do listen to the chaplain's bullshit story about how the RD is a filthy blood cultist.

i haven't had extended periods of interaction with corny's characters, though i know them enough to know they're not a shitler, and know how to RP. so ill be giving feedback on the app itself mostly. the answers look good to me, we always need more robot feeling IPCs. so into the character: the story looks good so far, the suicidal contractor may be a good hidden plot twist or just a red herring. a simple IPC with simple needs, till i got to the last part; nothing in the story hints at why the robutt can talk smoothly with other robots, IPCs dont have their own language, and there are IPCs and AIs that talk exactly like humans, would it be a smooth experience with those too but not with organics? and then it has a crush on skrell, for what purpose? you mention its trying to avoid skrell insulting it, but you also said it was a simple machine, why does it care what skrell think? i assume it was made by humans and modified by them too, so i doubt they would go out of their way to add in skrell friendly programming. the last part seems a bit rushed, and could use more beef.

It was only a matter of time before synth went full synth. The answers look good, the story is short, good but it has me wondering, the IPCs are designed so that emotions wont hinder their work, but this one is broken, is there a pattern to when it flips the switch, a trigger event or would you just switch personalities when it suits you best? How would you make sure nanotrasen doesnt find out? They would send you back for repairs or a replacement when they find out their IPC wont kill space carp because "it has feelings too!"

Though i did as a head of staff order helper not to break regulations, yet he was reported to have assaulted the bartender, to what extent? I dont know, but they never ahelped and i didnt look into it ICly, i also ordered him to stop spamming in the common channel but he ignored that too, so i reported you as a malfunctioning IPC to command. The Ioning was legit for more than one reason, though the first would suffice: 1: you were spam disarming security trying to escape, non lethal methods didnt work, according to SOP lethal force is authorized, and you dont use lethal force for none lethal take down. 2: you were breaking your guidelines in the employment records and so you were to be scrapped. 3: i dont know if you read the news but IPC terrorism has been on the rise in tau ceti, even without that IPCs were always abused, illegaly executed and what not by biesel police, there's no reason for nanotrasen to be more thoughtful towards IPCs, and i believe these news should have an actual impact on station RP. The PMing part is hardly against server rules, just a very salted dish of OOC discussion, that you could've told them to discuss after the round ended. i honestly believe helper is just a hindrance to the station at this point, and i dont see why it would still be employed with the amount of canon issues happening, the idea is good but the execution is sub standards.

you only came in half way through and didnt actually see it from the start, the incident warrants faxing CC, not taking up acting captain as the mistreatment wasn't even ganna continue after forcing what is basically water tapped by a bible down your throat, as i ran out of ideas and wanted them to lie and pretend they were normal again, but no one listened to me because the vampire managed to unbuckle, the doctor got in the way between the warden and the prisoner whining about mistreatment, the warden couldnt stun the lunatic prisoner in time and they jumped down disposals, then you came into the communal area. i wish the slip chance from waving your rod over someone's head is removed, i can't see how you can realistically slip and smack someone with full force when you just tried to wave it slowly infront of someone. just use the fax machine in your office, asking about weird AIs and visitors isnt the only use for the thing, if you send a report it really is not your problem anymore. this wouldn't have been possible, because urist died a martyr fighting the slimes sec was too busy to deal with, couldn't coup up with the leveling up slime demons.

i don't see how what urist did to the out of control flashing machine vampire torture, the only time i dealt damage was when my hand slipped and whacked him with the rod on his head Once, i mentioned it was an accident both IC and OOC, saying my hand slipped off, i didnt dare to take the risk of slipping my hand again and breaking their skull so i used holy water, which i dont really see how forcing someone to drink water is torture, maybe its abuse at worst, but at the time security was running out of ideas how to contain the threat and would've just threw em in solitary with a straight jacket, instead we roleplayed a very clumsy exorcism ritual in the communal area and this gave the vampire a chance to try and escape via disposals. so from an OOC point, sec didnt "allow torture to continue". this is a pretty invalid point, they were even about to jump me for the rod slipping once. unless something else happened as UM told me over discord that "fenrir repeatedly beat a prisoner cuffed down" the torture isn't actually real. at worst it could be said abuse of prisoners or mistreatment and even then it wasn't by sec's doing i discussed this a bit with UM on discord but he had to go, so if someone could shed more light on this, or if brayce could post his full side of the logs, that would be neat. from my point of view, sec did nothing wrong enough to validate the CE grabbing acting captain and demoting people and starting this whole ruckus. when he didn't even witness it himself. Edit: id just like to point out 3 officers were talking to your IN YOUR OWN SCREENSHOT and you kept on ignoring them and talking to the captain you typed out 3 messages on the command channel, so you cant use the excuse of "i was in the middle of typing"

polaris has a department relay that you PDA and it would send a copy to all PDAs in the department, we can import that, but its not exactly what trap wants, there used to be a NT relay kind of like a chatroom system on TG, no idea if its still around, you type in channel name and choose a custom name, and chat with the people in the same channel name, and pretty secure, unless a PDA gets caught, can be useful for team antags like cult or if other station antags team up.

The incident started with oliver as CE, he started butting into Security matters as the chief engineer, only claiming acting captain when rightfully told to fuck off. You speak of SOP, yet you're saying what a was refusing orders to be mutiny, you've also approved and issued suspension forms based on one person's side of the story. Im not sure what made you think THE CHIEF ENGINEER is capable of handling SECURITY issues, he is no where in his job description qualified to do that. And i like to know where you heard a mutiny came from, because this is a blatant lie used to exaggerate what happened, and you acting upon it without investigating is really total incompetence.

I was involved as the chaplain, ill tell my side of the story: I was walking around departments to see if any needed some blessing and advertised the chapel, when i got to sec i found them in the proccessing room getting flashed by the prisoner. Fenrir asked me why i came and i offered help, most of sec was against me entering till the second eye flashing happened and i was untouched, seeing i had validity to my claim i started bullshitting about a level 80 demon inside her and wanted to do an exorcism, we dragged them off to the communal area because i needed more space, there i tried a few things, first talked with them, tried to wave my rod over their head but great bay mechanics made my hand slip and whack them on the head, damaging my reputation, after running out of ideas i fill them with holy water and tell them the prisoner (kanda) needs the will power to be free'd, hopping they would pretend to be excoristed and maybe get a lowered sentence, the doctor comes in trying to treat the prisoner and calling me a lunatic, as me, the doc and warden argue this gives the vamp enough time to jump down disposals, too bad blood heal wasn't enough to fix them up in time. Later the CE barged into the communal area asking for the prisoner for god knows what reason, this was basically trespassing as he only has access to the sec hallway + exceeding offical power and imo just being a shit head of staff. I wasnt there for the later part of the argument but this seems like metagrudge on a whole department why a CE would waste all this time on a crusade against security when a captain has already arrived puzzles me, dont you have your own department to worry about? Seriously. EDIT: i remember now what happened afterwards, There was a xenobio outbreak that killed almost 5 people because sec just never responded, now it seems like they couldn't respond due to being under investigation.

The way i wanted to work (and how a new ghetto pistol im fiddling around in DM works) is by having to unload the magazine and then manually putting each bullet, i didn't think the magazine would go into the pistol itself when i sprited it. Though this isnt really an issue, with jamming mechanics coming in soon. As delta already stated, semi auto weapons are easily improvised. My only issue with it right now is how fast its made, but with how fast everything else ingame is (surgery/cooking/ etc) i think its somewhat fine, if it wasnt for engineering...

Instead of a reskinned ERPFETUS device id rather have a specialty vendor. You add an item in, set price and swipe your ID to link the item to your account, buyers can see your item, who's selling and the price. Maybe add department taxes to what you sell via vendors, like 20% goes to the department. Add one to almost all departments, science can set gadgets for sale, medbay putting over the counter medical supplies and painkillers, cargo offering autolathe tools. Maybe give engineering and sec simplified versions of the old device with department taxes too, though i dont think sec should be having fines go straight to their account, fines should go to the sec department and maybe give officers a reward system like: Arrested a dude who commited a level 2 crime: 50cr Arrested a dude who commited a major crime: 100cr Managed to talk down a armed criminal: 100cr Saved a hostage safely: 200cr each Caused a hostage to die or seriously get hurt due to recklessness: -500cr Arrested someone without a warrent on code green or without valid cause: -100cr These payments can be made via a console the warden and HoS can access and maybe HoP. Engineers could fine people for breaking things or maybe rewarded a percentage from the tax sec takes for vandalism

+1 i can assure you elohi is totally not a furry squiddy xD that aside, they're actually one of the nice tajara around and not the annoying asshole types i've been seeing lately again. on the app: the character, despite all the "bottled up, shy and blush xD" description doesn't look like a snowflake, and seem like a very believable character, while nothing special at all, they actually have a passion and reason to be on station, while the story isn't worth being published as a book, i think the character would be a best seller. elohi is also friendly OOCly and i don't remember any negative encounters. unless we can count their first tajara app ;^) their past IC interactions, the app and OOC personality are all ok, so i'm sure they'll do fine as a wetskrell.

The tg event actually makes a smoke event with a random chemical, all chems are possible so it might heal you, drug you or stop your heart and cause your skin to fall off

Barriers are needed to cross firelocks without depressurizing the fuck out of the hallway you're in or about to get into due to how lame hallway firelocks are placed, but i dont think we should allow people to easily do that as non engineers, if you really want to, you can improvise. A big negative this would have is people opening locks without getting blown anyway. Making lack of pressure a not-so-big of a problem as it should be when moving around vented hallways

i was actually leaning towards no before his trial started, but synth proved himself very worthwhile. we use ask him to deal with chaz, delta, and other saltmines with every classical ahelp a mod should answer, and he doesn't disappoint. i support keeping him as a trial forever so he can continue doing all the work for us being a great trial moderator!

robotic limbs and organs only serve to hinder characters as it is now, i suggest we give robotic limbs uses. these upgraded prosthetic limbs and organs can only be acquired in robotics, giving robotics more work to do instead of making cyborgs and rarely any exosuit other than a ripley(and those are useless now). these new prototypes would not only give you the regular damage you get when EMP'd but the shock would knock you out for a while examples of these upgrades would be, Eyes: Meson Scanners: gives you built in meson goggles in your eyes, can be turned off and on Material Scanners: for the miners and powergaming cats Security HuD Medical HuD Scientific scanners: allow you to do what the science goggles do, like checking reagents in drinks, the bartender could also put this to good use IR scanners: gives you tajara like vision, kind of useless without another pair of eye equipment right now anyone with these getting EMP'd would be knocked out cold and permanently blinded Heart: EMP Shielding: only thing i can think of for the heart, shuts down the equipment in the cybernetic heart, causing the character to die temporarily, then there are two attempts to jump start the heart, each at 50% chance of success. Arms/Hands: Fast storage system: allows you to fit any small item in your arm to pull out when needed the combitool hand: can switch between acting as a screw driver, a crowbar and a wirecutter. for the engineers and other people into mechanical construction the stunrod Arm: a stunbaton built into the arm, lacks the ability to harmbaton and holds a smaller charge, mainly because smacking someone with it would make it break off the arm, holds enough for two prods.
