  1. That's how I tend to handle antagonist rounds if something involves a character close to mine.
  2. Swim in all the rice. Bitches love white Japanese Rice Farmers.
  3. I don't think I've ever not seen a round where PootisManiac is an antagonist where he doesn't kidnap someone and brutally saw them to death Like I get its a gimmick for him, and it's his thing but I've seen him do it three times already...
  4. Honestly. This somewhat. I think the major issue is that slimes get out too easily. Xenobiologist gets jumped. Immediately runs through the airlock to the research hallways. That's why, as an AI, if I see the xenobiologist get attacked, I lock it down, and refuse them from leaving. And send a borg in to assist.
  5. As much as I love the +1's I was kinda hoping for some constructive criticism about both my character, and my roleplaying.
  6. I'm gonna say it as well. Great work working with what you had. I'm going to go out and say +1 to this, and hope to see you on the NSS Exodus sometime soon.
  7. It's rare to not see a security officer drinking on the job. The only bit of this I might agree with is the higher pain tolerance.
  8. It's good you're open to change broski
  9. I feel like Discord might get more traction, mostly due to its flexibility. Discords taken its spot up there with Skype in a short bit of time.
  10. I'll keep this in mind if Skrell ever interest me. As it stands I like playing as human. And my next character is likely to be a bound Vaurca, then an IPC
  11. Actually that would be a great idea. Teleport a random rare creature in for us to poke and prod. I'd love to find a way to extract a brain from the gold slime mobs, but I'm fairly certain they don't have extractable brains.
  12. If you're ever on when Daniel Seraph is in either Xenobiology, or Xenobotany I'm always open to teaching interns. I'm still actively learning Xenobotany both IC and OOC though. Xenobiology I'm one of the few who doesn't tend to ruin the round for people after learning from my mistakes a couple times. But yeah. As long as your character doesnt get uncomfortable around killing sentient beings hit me up.
  13. As someone who was financially tight around the Kickstarter campaign, what makes me more hyped for the game is that they're working VERY closely with CIG to implement the best of both the studios features.
  14. I safetly manage all the cells normally. People just need to ensure to use the shutters to get the slimes to lock onto the monkey rather then you when you're attempting to purge them Next. Xenobiologists cannot access Misc.
  15. I'm not sure I'm allowed to chime in but... Jim Goode had been being a general annoyance all shift, preaching crap into the general comms about wanting to fight the Psychiatrist in a debate about science (quite frankly it seemed incredibly stupid and role breaking for a chaplain to be attempting to start shit with someone he really hadn't interacted with in the shift) , and being a general nuisance all shift, so much so that IC and OOC I wanted to throw an exploding Death Nettle at him just to shut him up for a bit. I'm not saying what GrumpoMarxs did was justified but his comment was very childish but it wasn't bordering ERP unless both parties were punished for it. It was just a stupid comment made.
  16. Needs more monkies with knives in their chest.
  17. I get this mindset. I don't expect xenoarchelogy to involve being close to crew. The job specifically involves digging around the asteroid. My major issue comes to Xenobiology. The only real times someone interacts with you is: 1. An antagonist attempting to harm you 2. Roboticist needs metal 3. You die, and all of security, and half the crew come rushing in only to be killed.
  18. I think today was perfect. I powersinked the station. Breached the hull, and towards the end of the round a blob pops.
  19. The bad doctor thing ALWAYS happens. Especially if someone isn't helped into waking up. If the person isn't immediately brought back to full health you're a shitty doctor.
  20. Wouldn't save my mouse. I hate Xinc
  21. I would but I'm not authorized to read that.
  22. Sounds about right. You've gotta be more hammer fisted to your underlings.
  23. Clement Beach seems to be the type of HoS that the server needs. Attempts to do right by everyone on the station, only thing holding them back in their subordinates. Take for example I was AI on a round where the only member of security doing their job was the detective, and the captain. I witnessed the cult kidnap the RD, so I report it to security. No one even bothers to do anything until the RD starts shouting for help. And the first person to help? The captain, then the detective. Followed by constant threats from the captain, and the IAA calling your entire department for an audit because of poor performance. I haven't had much experience with Beach, but from what I have the character seems fairly solid, and doesn't struggle with maintaining one persona.
  24. I don't understand this part. As an engineer, am i not allowed to pull out a crowbar defend myself if someone tries to murder me? i'd like more explanation for this I think the general consensus is if your character is being held up against 2-3 big guys with guns. What do you expect? That your character is going to bravely rush one of the guys, and beat them with a crowbar? No. You'll either have a panic attack, or your adrenaline would push you down. Leading to you either running, or collapsing to the ground.
  25. My thought is as AI you should not be attempting to kill an antagonist, unless they're literally slaughtering crew, and are making an attempt at destroying you by rushing your core. All actions to an antagonist very early on, should be ignored (in my opinion) until they're spotted, and their cover is blown by crew. When the AI notices what's going on, they should promptly announce it to security so they can attempt to deal with the situation. In the event that it's a cultist, I just tend to assist security by attempting to hold them in a specific area on the ship.
