1. This application is too soon after your ban appeal. I cannot personally trust you with any semblance of authority or power over other players with your past in mind. Considering the whole ordeal behind your appeal. Personally, try again much later. -1
2. He is to a certain degree. Yesterday when handing bonuses he gave a Human 8 times more than the none Humans. He also very rarely selects non-human interims. I don't view racism as something that has to be obvious and flamboyant.
3. Been a while, a lot has happened to both. I'm curious if anything has been noticed. Feedback, gripes, advice?
4. Assuming there isn't one already, something of this sort sounds pretty good.

6. There are only two cases in which things are not canon. First is when it becomes an OOC issue, generally rule violations and such. Second is when antagonist involvement is present. There is a level of consistency which makes the server what it is, the narrative carrying around from round to round. That's why I'd say consistency is a pillar of what the server is. When a character jumps from one character to another, interactions become cheap and a characters presence becomes cheap. So I'd say we are going for the "all" approach, if not that, almost all.
7. I'd like to state that this isn't entirely a set in stone policy and is liable to be changed depending on how things go, so post your feedback.
8. But command staff DID respond, the CCIA just refused to counteract the announcement. Because they didn't want to 'ruin the gimmick'. They said so right in this thread. So there is clearly not an across the board standard. Is this the statement you're referring to?
9. 05.02.2460 State of Emergency Declared Over! Following the successful operation conducted by the Elyran Armed Forces in New Cairo, and the complete eradication of hostile elements belonging to the Lii’dra, the state of emergency has been declared over by the central government. It is expected the EAF will resume standard operations and fully demobilize their reservist forces in the coming week. Census groups canvasing the region are yet to release any statistics but initial reports indicate a grim toll of the deceased. Military forces in conjunction with other elements are still conducting further sweeps of the area, ensuring that no further nests are present in the area, along with rebuilding and transportation efforts for the affected area. Images and recordings from both official and unofficial sources show the carnage and devastation suffered to the areas. Viewers discretion is advised for the following items. This video details an engagement between an EAF unit and surrounded Lii'dra elements. This video details governmental efforts to return people back to their homes, following the cleansing of infected areas. This picture shows efforts by hazard units in disposal of bodies, infected humans and vaurca alike. The Prime Minister in an address to the Serene Republic of Elyra said the following.
10. Could be something that can be added to the loadout option, if it hasn't already.
11. Sol wouldn't make much sense. I doubt they'd really intervene under such short notice. I highly doubt they'll be an option outside of admins interfering for the sake of the narrative.
12. Command/Crew are in no way shape or form obligated to blindly follow exceptional obtuse announcements that go beyond the realm of beliefs. Neither CCIA nor the Administration will back a CC announcement that is simply completely against the lore or beyond reason. Telling Command/ISD to be super vigilant around people of a certain race or species is fine. Telling the crew that "x crew member" is a wanted terrorist that needs to be detained, etc. etc is fine. Telling the crew to begin the mass killing of a certain species is not. Telling crew to "x visitor" is now the Captain is not. Especially when they completely lack the qualifications. If a person wishes to waste their TC's on it, that's on them. If a person is simply doing this every round and not contributing to anything as an antagonist, ahelp them. We already enforce this, I can announce this again and have staff do a few more announcements on servers and notices on the AOOC chat. That sounds reasonable, but if so, it should be made more clear to players somehow. Because, like I said, we had a round where the antag announcement was literally 'okay everyone, we're doing an experiment where you have to kill people by vote or we blow you up with secret implants we put in', and the HoS actually started following it under the excuse of 'it's an order from NT'. And then the staff on server did nothing to dissuade this. I'm not saying you cannot follow it, you're simply not obligated to. If CCIA/Admins aren't prompted regarding the gimmick, it's generally assumed it's something command in general are fine with and are able to develop the narrative. CC just needs to be contacted about the "stupid" gimmick.
13. This is literally nothing. You didn't even specify for which lore.
14. LordBalkara completely my fault. I spoke with Arrow and we've got a proposal going. Will keep you up to date. Revoking my dismissal for the time being.
15. So staff have discussed this topic thoroughly. The general consensus and what it boiled down to is, extreme cases are forbidden, this has always been the case, it's just what defines things are extreme varied. A lot of the responses boiled down to things making sense, which is an issue as people view things differently as well, so what makes sense for them may not align with what staff deem alright. These have been in a sense policies we've already enforced, they were simply not set in stone and open to interpretation at times. IMPORTANT thing to note is that while certain instances may be permitted, like an Officer/Paramedic cross. There's an OOC aspect to it, don't hoard all the work as an Officer when there are paramedics are around, this is a quick way to have your privilege in this instance removed. Example, you respond to all calls for help with a roller and such, giving them triage and moving them to medical while paramedics just stare at you. It’s bad sportsmanship. So, how do you get permission? It’s fairly simple, the infrastructure behind it is also fairly clear cut. You contact a member of staff, detailing your character and circumstances behind your request. If approved, a note will be added in a format similar to this ā€œName: Role 1 - Role 2 - Staff Memberā€. Keep in mind that if majority of staff find an issue with a ruling, we can still override it. For ease of process, I’ll be permitting people to contact staff about it outside the server for the next seven days, from 05/02/2018 to 11/02/2018. After that date, requests will ONLY be considered on server. Addendum 1: PREVIOUS permissions are now null. New guidelines are being enforced. Addendum 2: Just because it may be technically possible, does not mean it's believable. A Head of Security would not be a janitor. A Scientist may spend 50 years acquiring multiple PhD's to do everything, it doesn't mean it's believable. FAQ: Q: Are Job - Visitor affected. A: No. Q: What about Captains? What changes about them? A: Nothing, it's stipulated they can be a departmental head or visitors. Anything else and you haven't read your wiki. Q: Are races put into consideration? A: Yes, feel free to consult your lore dev or a member of staff that specifically plays that race.
16. Locking as a decision has been made.
17. My stance on this is generally quite simple.
18. I had a bit of a chat with Ezuo and they had a decent suggestion. I personally feel the flat 50% to be too high. I also feel antagonists are capable of defeating an ERT with organization or even through sheer trickery, I've never felt they were an instant win tool, though I can see where everyone comes from. So, here is my suggestion about. When an ERT team is swiped for, I'd propose a chance around 20% to spawn a wild card. I've never been fond of clear cut measures for this sort of thing. If it happens that the ERT check is failed, one among many groups may respond to the call instead. The following suggestions aren't set in stone and are open to modification. I'm also open to add more options. I did not include Nuke Operatives since that's a thing antagonists themselves can call with possible success. Death Squat / HAPT was also not included since they're a central thing and a step up above ERT. My suggestion doesn't end here. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if t-comms is down, the station can't actually send things to Central, which doesn't include the swipers. So we could tie in the swiper devices to a certain portion of t-comms that can be removed through guile or brute force. There's also the idea that ERT becomes tier based, which depends on the sort of help the station requires. This means that for a medical issue, a medical ERT is actually dispatched, or through some work, an antagonist(s) can call an ill-equipped team to ambush, delaying any response for a while. Do me a favor and mention me if you do reply to me specifically, I'd rather not miss anything. NOTE: I am fully against the high rate of failure part of this suggestion. Or anything that extremely limits ERT as a whole.
19. Crazy chaplains are against the rules. Chaplains that vandalize the station but aren't crazy can be dealt with in-character. It's a duct tape fix that doesn't actually fix the cited issue. I've seen Chaplains do neat things with the crayons. Voting for dismissal. -1
20. Everyone is required to demonstrate a certain level of competency when playing. If a Warden doesn't know how security work, we'll deal with it like a Surgeon that doesn't know surgery. Shoot us an ahelp, we'll deal with it. There's this culture of "I don't snitch" that I find to be misplaced. People should ahelp rule violations and issues to the round. There's only so much we can catch or do proactively. A staff member being on doesn't mean they're all on and watching everything that's happening. Revoking dismissal for the time being.
21. Make your own secret society. There's one I know of.
22. Captain name? Not enough info. Edit: I'm blind, ignore.
23. You could, this is simply a more lengthy process over a single incident. I'm not saying we won't oblige you, I am saying that being the ability to observe the round, watching their movement and a plethora of other things that aren't logged permits us to make a more sure and quicker decision. As we could uncover other things that may need attention. It's still a possibility we find everything and more within the text logs, it's simply less of a chance than when brought to our attention during the round. It's also incredibly tedious. Just in the future ahelp first, it takes a few seconds and saves all of us a bunch of time. If that doesn't work, you can bring it to the forums.
24. Making a complaint means there's an issue with the character that constitutes as a rule violation. The rules are not specific because if they were, the community would be greeted with a novel that lists every single specific case. Just heckling antags for the sake of it is not something reasonable, there needs to be reasoning behind peoples actions. Doing things for no reason, which translates to doing things for out of character reasons is not permitted.
25. You and others should have ahelped this so we could've dealt with it instead of letting it stretch across an entire round.
