1. Were you ever contacted by tomiix?
2. Last active Thu Nov 30, 2017 11:24 pm I think he's gone.
3. I cannot support this as is, I am not opposed to providing this as a thing for antagonists which they can get depending on which role they are. It has the potential to be a cool and neat thing, but I'm generally not fond of the idea of crew members being overly special, which I feel will result, eventually becoming a normal thing. -1
4. Yes, rule violations that are dealt with when spotted or reported.
5. It only took me two months to convince you to make this application. Doc is always a pleasure to be around as a person, I've only had few interactions with Halogen itself, but none have been bad. I however can still attest to their roleplaying skills from an observers point of view. They take the game seriously enough, role playing properly and fostering an immersive environment. There's not much for me to say as I already gave you feedback which you've applied to your application itself. You have my seal of support. +1
6. Staff have compiled all views, both on this thread and other discussions. We're currently going to discuss it and have a set in stone stance hopefully soon. If you have anything further to add, now is the time.
7. I was originally skeptical about this, but I've thought it over and honestly, what's not to like about it? A character bringing more about their home, their beliefs, their way of life to the station. I can see this happening, I can see it be engaging to everyone else, I can see this being fun for the character in question and others. You have my support. +1
8. I've got my own personal stake with this. It was somewhat hard for me to come up with anything specific to say about it, I've never been fond of overly explaining in-character reasoning behind these things but Shodan has already covered that for me. The item was a genuine gift from one character to another. +1
9. No, I highly doubt Raymond would open up to strangers on a whim just because of these items. There may be some fringe incidents that justify it based on the narrative of the round, but I didn't make these items and this application for specific rounds in mind, but for the overall gameplay and by extension, the roleplay of the character. How people feel is up to them, I provide the canvas, the players paint. You would be right in this account, but I do not believe he is a character lacking depth, he's a character I've invested the most with, created many narratives with that involved other people, good and bad, sad and happy, mundane and serious encounters. I don't feel that depth is actually lacking, some may feel that but that's only because he's an overall reserved character. So to hit your point. What you said would be true if that was the case, but to me it isn't, but as always, you're free to tell me your opinion. I'm merely adding more to his depth, as opposed to filling a lack of it. Meaningless is a fairly arbitrary meter. I don't think it is, I applied for this because I want it. It isn't some lucky article of clothing he's bringing to work. He's bringing sentimental items to him around. I personally carry pictures of family, living and dead around on my phone; sometimes I go through some old pictures that's only a step above black and white. It's a common theme a lot of people do, not restricted to a single trope. Being gifted a watch, you might wear it around. Cuff buttons passed down, you might use them for occasions. The list can really go on. In essence, it's a sentimental item, Raymond is a sentimental man attributing memories to items. Some players through interaction both on station and out will be quite familiar with his "stash". I think I can reasonably be called excited for this. I've never asked people to just give "+1's". If a person wishes to provide feedback, good or bad, they're welcome to. I'll happily reply and defend my stance and answers, or in some cases concede.
10. BYOND Key: Aboshehab Character name: Raymond Hawkins Item name: Black Leather Wallet, Holo Tablet Why is your character carrying said item to work? Both items are of sentimental value to the character in question. It hits on the familial tenets Raymond adheres to thoroughly. One is a wallet, it's a common item everyone walks around with and I doubt its use would ever end in the future, except this was an item passed on to him by someone close. The other item would be a thin device, with how compact certain devices are and how this device is specialized for a certain purpose, which is to project pictures. It's the equivalent of carrying pictures of loved ones. Item function(s): Black Leather Wallet: It'll act like any other wallet, I'm not asking for anything extra for this specific item. Item description: A sleek black leather wallet, with the initials of J.H. visible at the front side. It’s got an old yet maintained look to it. Item appearance: Item function(s): It would act similar to a warrant projector, except when activated ((Clicked on)), it would open up a list of pictures already stored on the device. After selecting the picture, you would either examine it and have a text pop up with the description or "show held item" permitting others to examine it. This device would fit in the wallet as well. It's not meant to be big. Item description: A thin electronic device that projects holographic images stored on it. Item appearance: The following will be the picture descriptions, when activating it and showing the list, the pictures will be headed by dates. How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? Raymond is an overall reserved character, that's not to say he isn't a fleshed out character, I feel I've developed him realistically with a lot of depth, and to those that are his friends or go pass his overall coldness while on the job have most likely seen the family side of him. Even those that aren't his friends or really know him might have seen it or experienced it. I feel these items would add another layer of narrative and real to him. Be it showing said items during a sappy moment or him during break just going over them while on break, I feel they provide a story. Additional comments: Find any spelling mistakes or grammar with the items themselves, please tell me. Sprite files
11. Pirates: Sol Intervention and Apprehension Monday, January 29, 2460 Following the tragic raid by pirates on a transport shuttle earlier this month, security forces in Tau Ceti doubled their efforts in capturing these pirates and increased their patrols throughout the system. However, no update nor information has reached us regarding this after the increased efforts were made. That is until this morning. A Solarian patrol fleet earlier this morning, local Mendel time, conducted an anti-piracy operation into what has been described as an asteroid outpost, outside of Biesellite territory. The pirates had dug into an asteroid amidst a small field of them in effort to hide their base of operations and avoid sensors. Going over what a spokesman said, the fleet originally jumped into the area relatively close to the outpost after confirming what it was. The fleet then dispersed establishing a perimeter to close off all avenues of escape. The Fleet Commander himself then delivered an ultimatum, demanding their full surrender, stating that any attempts of retaliation or escape will be met with the full force of the fleet. However, a single ship attempted to escape, a small ship refitted with crude armaments charged out and engaged the fleet. The ship was destroyed and the remnants of the pirates surrendered. The following is a video found on the extranet by an anonymous source, a first hand witness of the events that unfolded. The destroyed ship was later identified to be manned by a group of Unathi raiders, believed to be the same one used to attack the transport shuttle. Weaponry, narcotics and plenty of loot were found stored, along with prisoners.
12. You have 7 bans on record. All for gross rule violations. Would you explain why you're actually different this time? Have you played on other servers?
13. I like it, it's a unique concept, I found a few mistakes spelling and grammar wise that I fixed with your permission. I'm going to adjust some of the language use here, population will be downgraded to align itself with the total population in this sector of Sol. Some of it may be changed further as my work with lore increases. Application accepted.
14. https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Elyra_Military Based on my lore application that was approved, wasn't added so I did it. https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Sol_Alliance_Military Essentially we had 3 pages of redundant and excessive stuff, so I cut it down and added more relevant info to it based on things that occurred with our lore. Furthermore, it was heavily outdated. So I condensed it into a single page. https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Elyra_Culture Per popular demand, I released it, albeit not entirely finished, most of it was done. I'll be adding the cuisine part soon.
15. Perhaps some form of attachment to headsets? Something that can be ordered like the tactical equipment.
16. One of my "WIP" projects is establishing a bit more about Sol occupied space. Right now as it stands, people are generally from Earth, Mars, Luna or what ever headcanon they develop. I'd like to establish a larger list of settings in-which people can make a character from, maybe inner colony colonized by a set of Far Eastern Earth cooperations or some middle colony that's essentially a cobbled group of asteroids. So, if you'd like to have your thing listed, you'll need to make a lore canonization app following the format. You'll need to abide by the limitations of the current lore, so you're not exactly going to be able to make an Earth v2 in the Outer Colonies, as they're not as advanced nor economically rich as the inward colonies. I at the very least will require a name, the type of thing ((System, planet, station, etc)), and a brief description. How this will be presented will be a page listening all these examples. Each example will have a name and a brief description. The more fleshed out applications have a page with all the details cited. So say you go to the list, you fancy one of them, the name itself will be a hyperlink leading to the primary page describing everything. Type (e.g. Planet, Faction, System): Founding/Settlement Date (if applicable): Region of Space: Controlled by (if not a faction): Other Snapshot information: Long Description: Do not post your app here, make your own thread. We want things outside the Sol system itself.
17. Appeal accepted with the following condition in consideration.
18. Sorry for the delay. It's been a while so some of the more specific details are lost to me. From what I recall, it boiled down to your character picking the most dangerous option out there, albeit you had a powerful weapon, you lacked in armor. The hostile, regardless if he was solely shooting security or your co-workers was heavily armed and armored. You had a plethora of options, different ways to escape, hide or even cower as to keep your characters safety and well being together. But you ran into RnD and then under your own choice, without the hostile actually chasing you, walked out and charged them. I'll cite a few examples for you. 1) Jump the window 2) Retreat further in 3) Hide in some locker 4) Blast your way to safety 5) Call for an AI to let you out of doors you have no access to There are two ways this appeal can be resolved 1) You acknowledge your mistake with honesty, with the understand that if I remove these bans, they will be swiftly reapplied for such behavior again. 2) You don't as you still don't believe you've done anything wrong and I am in the wrong here. In this case, I will move this to the staff complaint forums for someone else to review.
19. On the topic of one of these incidents brought up. If an incident has been dealt with by staff, then it won't be investigated here as it's already been covered by a member of staff. If you disagree with the end result, you should file a staff complaint.
20. The application is both weak from a player and a character standpoint. The application itself seems to have been done quickly with little thought or attention to lore. Frankly, you're rating yourself too high. As for you as an applicant. You've had a lot of run ins with staff in a course of a month, you're on thin ice. A lot of these entries as based on your ability to roleplay within the confines of the rules. Strong -1.
21. I heard you've had an issue with commitment when it comes to that time you joined CCIA. Would you care to clarify on it?
22. This rule is fairly simple and straight forward. You may refute the arguments presented against you, you may point out that a certain individual is not properly engaging with you here. You may not attack a person. You may not insult a person. Any further instances from after this will result in a warning or even a forum ban depending on active warnings from the past. You will have no one but yourself to blame if your ability to post here is suddenly gone for a period of time. This goes to everyone that broke said rule.
23. I've handed this complaint to the command whitelist team. AlberykCoalfDatamatt
24. Sorted. Locking and archiving.
