1. I think they've gone a long way from how that character was originally.
2. As far as I'm aware, failure to abide with uniform can result in a neglect of duty charge applied by the command member responsible or Captain. whiterabit can confirm.
3. Locking and archiving per request.
4. Take care Sonic. Don't be a stranger my man.
5. Now, I'm not going to throw this is away, but these are things you should be ahelping instead of just letting them sit. Based on your testimony, it shows some LRP behavior here but it's very hard to verify with logs as they don't show everything. And there's been no photographs cited here.
6. Have you spoken to them? Brutishcrab51
7. Double antags are still there.
8. So, a bonus of this application is your support, while they're very general and don't cite any specific examples, they're positive. I'd like current and future posters to cite examples as it helps ascertain the difference between a friend supporting or a person genuinely supporting due to the applicants merit. There is still however and issue, which is during your stay on the server which started on the 27th of July, you've managed to acquire quite the few staff entries, 22 entries to be specific, ranging from notes/verbals warnings, actual warnings and a job ban to Captain. While these rule violations aren't really malicious on nature, innocent even, it's still consistent enough over the months that it does raise a red flag for me. It's usually the minor rules we end up enforcing which from my view is the main issue with your application here. Other than this, you're not a bad person, there are no entries pertaining to attitude towards the community as a whole. You even through your own merit managed to resolve the job ban issue, albeit the cause of it was a serious mistake on your park, there have been no repeats. I'm interested on your thoughts.
9. You've got 19 staff entries, over the course of around 3 months, 12 of which received within the last the month this including verbal warnings translated to notes, actual warnings and even a job ban. I can't support this application due to the simple fact that while you may not be doing this maliciously, but even these many rule violations doesn't put you in a good light. That's not to mention that the trial period will have the moderator and administrator both watch your capacity as a staff member and a player more thoroughly than before.
10. General Rules: Don't be a dick. We're all here to have fun, not fight and argue with assholes. Don't ruin the game for everyone else, and use common sense. This includes anything from attacking other people, starting arguments over nothing, etcetera. This is an English-speaking server. Being able to understand and communicate in English is required for playing here. Speaking other languages to a minor degree is permitted, though please use the Latin alphabet. Random phrases there and there is allowed, but nothing long winded. No advertisement of other SS13 servers on this server. Please also remain respectful towards other servers when discussing them: outright bashing or trash-talking of other servers is not allowed. No IC in OOC and vice versa. Do not post current ongoing events and at the same time, the forums house a few mediums in which people can roleplay, do not post OOC comments there. Multikeying with intent to bypass punishment, such as warnings, bans; to deceive server administration in general; or to bypass other restrictions. This may result in an unappealable permanent ban. All sub-forums have rules, violating them counts as violating the standard forum rules. Do not post illegal, obscene, gore, pornographic content. Regarding Staff: If you see anyone breaking any of these rules (or simply have questions on them), you’re free to ask us questions. For reporting, there is a “report post” function. Alternatively if it’s a time sensitive matter, you can contact staff by discord or on the server. If you are contacted by an admin, you are expected to reply, and communicate clearly and in good will. Failure to reply or disrespect towards admins may be grounds for a ban. We do our best to be polite and courteous with you, and thus expect you to do the same with us. This includes complaints, failure to respond within a week will result the complaint to carry on without your testimony, contact staff if you want an extension. All staff decisions are final. If you disagree, you may file a staff complaint or appeal the punishment. Punishments: Verbal Warning/Warning: A warning is the lightest type of punishment we will dispense. Generally, this means you'll be informed of the rule you've broken, and we'll let you resume using the forums after you ensure us you won't break the rule again. Temporary Ban: Temporary bans are handed out for situations where a single warning may not suffice, and will prevent you from using the forums for a set amount of time (usually applied with lengths of 1, 3, and 7 days). All attempts to evade a temporary ban (e.g. by multikeying) will result in the ban being made permanent. Permanent Ban: Permanent bans are issued in two general cases. First, to force communication with staff regarding an issue which was left unresolved. Second, as a final attempt to curb a player's behaviour, following warnings and temporary bans. All punishments are appealable unless stated otherwise by an administrator. The latter case would only be invoked in serious cases and if you believe it was misused, should file a staff complaint. In the event of a permanent/temporary ban, you may file an appeal/complaint via proxy. This means you may contact someone else to post on your behalf. Do note that violating the forum rules while using a proxy will result in a punishment being escalated to our other platforms, such as the server and discord. Feedback goes here. https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=107&t=9524#p87477
11. Funnily enough. This was never removed, just somehow forgotten? We've recently been instating it when our player population would hit 40 or above.
12. I'm just going to post here to establish a few things. Firstly, I have no intention of punishing someone for things that have happened months ago, though I'll mostly be dealing with the recent incidents. There's a clear time gap between the logs, with most of these logs between JB and Bokaza date back to an incident 5-6 months away, there are a few logs for the last 2 days which will be our focus. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, it's how they present it that makes the difference. Jokes are inclusive, I shouldn't be pointing out that making fun of someone in a medium where they too can see it isn't right and a violation of our rules on the discord. So Bokaza isn't completely excused, it's just I won't be doing any administrative actions to ancient incidents unless they're extreme, which this isn't. Secondly, when looking at this, I don't think Bokaza is the only issue. Jackboot can act really condescending to people, which leads to these things in the first place. You can't really expect to drop the last word, block them and then expect that'll be the end of the issue in question. You also shouldn't be letting these things sit. Now, I think Bokaza beyond this dispute between the two of you as a decent person, you just need to learn the difference between constructive criticism and just insulting someone. There's a difference between calling a person "retarded" and commenting why you believe the work is bad. So as of now. I won't strike you Bokaza , because if you do decide to go on a rant in the same vain devoid of anything constructive beyond insulting, ad-hominen, or just for the sake of being a dick. I'm going to apply a ban. Banter and humor is inclusive, it shouldn't be done on the expense of a person that is as much a member of the community as you are. As for Senpai Jackboot, I said this before, but you can't just expect you can block people after being condescending or passive aggressive to them to be the end of it. You're part of the blame here. As for the rest of you, and future posters. If you're going to post, it's to bring new points or evidence to light. I don't want back and forth arguments without any substance as I will just delete them. I'm going to leave this open for another 48 hours unless new things are brought to light.
13. That's perfectly acceptable. Staff complaints aren't the only method of resolving issues. It's for when the staff member has their stance and it conflicts with yours.
14. The conversation between Doc and Brutish. Inform me if you feel anything was missing from the conversation posted here. I'll give the log file another dive. The warning itself.
15. This is your second permaban for IC in OOC behaviour in a period of two months, which is honestly a hard punishment to get in the first place. We've already given you a plethora of chances which I'll cite as the fact you have 23 staff entries, which as far as I can see do not put you in a positive light. Why should you be given a chance? When you've used your previous one so quickly?
16. Gave more than 24 hours. Locking and archiving.
17. I support this as a temperory measure until a fix is provided for space wind.
18. Ban expired. Locking and archiving.
19. I think both Coalf and Doc illustrated good points and even after reviewing the conversation between yourself and Doc and I'm partial to agreeing with Doc on this one. A good rule of thumb when determining a course of action is putting yourself in your characters shoes. Would you have jumped off a tall building even if you knew you would suffer serious injuries you could consider mortal if left untreated? So I'm siding with doc on this one. Unless more information is presented in 24 hours, I'm going to lock and archive.
20. When was the last incident of this?
21. Reporting player requested their unban appeal as opposed to the staff complaint per the following thread. https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&p=87906#p87906 Locking and archiving.
22. You pick a staff complaint or an unban appeal. A staff complaint if you're against the ban, an unban appeal if you agree with it and want another chance. Pick one please.
23. So instead of refuting the plethora of things I presented, you'll just not own up to what happened. Glad we're in the same page here.
