Fix Dionea

Apparently, you have to actually inject veinless these plant creatures with plant b gone for it to work. Spraying them with herbicide doesn't work, despite the inherent logic of it.

Also, the ancient trait of them healing to the point of being nigh invulnerable while on fire needs to be corrected.

These two things would probably curtail some of the most stupid things about them.

Well, they're effectively plant shoggoths.

As if Kudzu was intelligent and ate all forms of energy... and gained the memories of the biological things it ate.

...I hate them with the fire of a thousand suns.

First point is almost true, but if your plan is to kill dionae relying on plant b gone alone is not going to do much, yes it plunges our health quickly and disables regeneration but most players have items on hand to get it off.

Second point is already a dressed almost half a year ago, fire will kill plants slowly now unless close to the SM.

The logic in question is inherent to people who have a flawed understanding of biology and diona. They're not actually trees. They are not weeds and most likely don't have the easily targeted biological structures your common household weed has. Which is why plant-b-gone will never work on them as if it were some super-weapon. Further more, the volume of spray introduced into the body through the skin would be so minimal that Diona, being on average larger than humans, would have no trouble filtering the toxins out before it actually caused damage.

The biggest issue I see with diona is that if they "die" (gain 200 damage and the gestalt "seizes up and falls limp, ....") 6 nymphs spawn and they can just reform a new gestalt.

The number of nymphs that is spawned should definitly scale with the current damage of the diona.

I.e. if the lower their health, the less nymphs spawn.

There has to be some reliable way to kill them, Skull, even if it's not pesticide. I was in a round earlier today where we tried everything from lasers to bullets to weedkiller to grenades full of medical chemicals that are supposed to be deadly to them, to actual explosions, and the diona just walked away from all of it, healing away any wounds we made, partly because it was on fire. This was compounded by it being able to bypass certain limitations wizards have due to not actually having brains to damage when they use the no cooldown swap spell. It was nearly impossible to actually hit them in combat, and what we did hit them with was utterly useless.

Their two primary debuffs of 'can't wear clothes' and 'can't run fast' do not by any means make up for how overpoweringly unstoppable they are, especially when antagonist mobility powers are added on top of them.

Aurorastation isn't balanced at all for combat since it's an HRP, especially when it comes to one of the least played races. There is a way to reliably kill Dionaea and it's that new anti-rad medication that doesn't make any sense. To reliably kill a Dionaea is an entirely different story because that's their gimmick. They're slow as fuck as a result of them having a second life. To actually kill a Dionaea requires you to have intent to kill a dionaea. If you're not actually trying to kill a Dionaea, you won't kill them.

To kill a Dionaea, you need to take 2 things away from them:

- Heat

- Light

Get a freezeray. Turn off all the lights. Shoot them with a freeze ray and they're fucked. Due to an oversight or a feature, Dionaea lose a fuckton of nutrition due to being cold. Hell, if you want to be the ultimate homosexual, you should've shot their feet off with a laser rifle since those are guaranteed to have no armor.
