Demonofthefall Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Hey, I've been hunting for some good PC games to play on my laptop and was wondering if you guys have any suggestions. Its not a laptop built for gaming but that's not to say its total shithouse. Been playing Fallout 1 and Gothic lately but would love something new to play. Look forward to hearing from anyone and hopefully find some gems I've never played before. Quote
Johnny Mnemonic Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Binding Of Issac, try rebirth, if not original should do fine. Half Life 1 System Shock 2 Super Meat Boy if you're into that Oregon Trail Quote
Carver Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Tales of Maj'Eyal (Singleplayer/Roguelike) Dominions 4 (Singleplayer/Multiplayer/Strategy) NEO Scavenger (Singleplayer/Survival) Maybe Hearthstone (Multiplayer/TCG) /Maybe/ Mount & Blade: Warband (Singleplayer/Multiplayer/RPG/Strategy) Quote
enkas Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Gothic and Gothic 2 are especially awesome German RPGs with a nice story (even if, full of holes) and a challenging gameplay (even if with weird controls). It is a little buggy, but it is entirely worth of every second. Quote
Gollee Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Red Alert 2, Tiberium Sun/Firestorm. Oldies but goodies. Quote
Rusty Shackleford Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 FTL: Faster Than Light Spelunky Factorio Xenonauts Red Faction Also, STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, Half Life 2 and Left 4 Dead run very well on my budget grade computer. Quote
Dea Tacita Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 KOTOR and KOTOR2:TSL Both are excellent RPGs. Quote

VoltageHero Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 FTL: Faster Than LightSpelunky Factorio Xenonauts Red Faction Also, STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, Half Life 2 and Left 4 Dead run very well on my budget grade computer. Â Xenonauts, woot woot. Â Also known as the XCOM-wannabe. Cough cough. By low spec, what do you mean, exactly? Hell, people rag on the Intel graphics, but they can run some (albeit very small amount) of "higher" end games functionally. Quote
Demonofthefall Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Woah, did not expect so much feedback, thanks! Been playing Mount and Blade: Warband, surprised my laptop could handle it. To answer Voltage's question, I mean low spec as in can be played on a common laptop that isn't build for gaming. Quote
Xelnagahunter Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Unturned is a Steam Free-to-Play that is low quality but high functionality. Great game for my mind if you like Zombie survival. Quote
Chaznoodles Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Aurora, Cataclysm, Dwarf Fortress, DCSS, Mud and Blood 2, Pioneers, Transendence, Star Sector, Rimworld. Quote

Dea Tacita Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Crusader Kings 2 Â Low end comps cannot run ck2 It annihilates processing power. Unless you feel like doing 1 day per minute. Quote
Guest Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Evil Genius, Stronghold Crusader 1+2+Extreme , Xenonauts. Quote
mrimatool Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Well Dea it's fairly low spec. You need more than a potato to run it but it works well enough. Quote
Guest Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Crusader Kings 2, Project Zomboid, Don't Starve, Banner Saga, LCS, Dragon Age Origins, Morrowind, Fallout 3, Star Citizen  Morrowind and FO3 both eat processing power as well, despite being 'old games.' Quote
