I'm trying to quit smoking... again. Hit the 36 hour mark. My back is in pain, so are my lungs. I can barely go 10 minutes without thinking about smokes.


If I don't survive, someone has to usurp gayboot and tell him to go fuck himself. Fuck the ligger death star. Humans first.

How2Quit Smoking 101

This is a comprehensive guide on how to quit smoking. Please read the instructions carefully in order to prevent any terminal damage.

 

Step 1:Acquire smoke

Step 2:Ignite smoke

Step 3:Apply smoke directly to forehead

Step 4:???

Step 5:Pat yourself on the back for not wanting to burn yourself anymore


If you follow these 5 steps then congratulations, you have successfully quit being a smoker.

It's been 1 day and 19 hours since my last smoke. I've added a cigarette onto my forum avatar. If I cannot live free and poison myself, at least my spirit animal will. My back is still in pain and I have light cramps all over my body.


In other news, I've bought 3 packs of chocolate-vanila pudding. How does that substitute nicotine? I have no idea! I think developing a pudding addiction will help my mind forget it needs nicotine... maybe. I just love pudding.

I'm doing it cold turkey. Went from half a pack to zero instantly, so I guess I'm already manmoding it. But to be honest, it's not like I'll never have a smoke again. I just have to last for few weeks so I get detoxified and remove the actual addiction. After that, having a smoke in company now and then won't make a difference.

No, not really. A lot of vaping solutions include fun additives like residual burn gasses, and so on. (At least, as far as their patents are concerned.) Shit's as bad for you, really.

A cigarette is a chemical factory, burning paper, tabacco-soaked paper and tabacco, producing several thousands of different chemicals, most of them poisonous.


A device that gives you tiny amounts of burn gasses is a downgrade in terms of toxicity.

Going to a sauna, or something else, three days in a row can help you sweat out it out, literally. And, really, quieting cold turkey was a bad idea, Im proud as hell to hear you took initiative, but thats not the way to do it.

Wat? No, cold turkey is one of the best ways to actually quit it (yeah, you get the immediate withdrawal crap, but still a good way to quit fast).

Yeah. People keep telling me what to do as if I don't know what works for me and what doesn't. I bet most of them aren't even smokers. Someone even suggested that I put a cigarette pack inside a cactus. As if threat of physical harm could stop me from getting my fix if I wanted to. No. Cold turkey is the only way to go for me. Admit to myself that I'm a filthy fucking addict, accept it, then try and fight it. Only through steel resolve, and faith in the Emperor, can one beat the sweet temptation of Slaanesh.

On the bright side, if you take up vaping, you'll realize how much more exponentially bad that is and quit smoking.


Lot of my smoker friends took up vaping and ended up quitting smoking altogether somewhere down the line.

I have actually seen a direct opposite of it. A good amount of my classmates took up vaping, and they actually did that shit more than they ever smoked. So it depends on the person, and most definitely shouldn't be marketed as a way to get out of smoking. Anyways, I'll just drop my political agendas now.

Good on ya man! Keep it up! I tried sing lolipops as a replacement, and gum. Just a suggestion if you haven't thought of them man. Keep it up! smoking sucks. I have COPD (or some odd thing like COPD that isn't COPD) I'm 28, started smoking after I became 20, and I still smoke. I also agree that cold turkey is often times the best way to quit if your serious. However, I don't suggest ever smoking again. A stress moment will hit and you start up on your own. You will justify buying that pack. Trust me, I've done it a hundred times in the past 3 years.

Get a good high quality juicer, start buying deeply, richly colored fruits and vegetables (organic if possible) and start drinking fruit and veggie smoothies for every single meal for a few weeks. And continue with one per day even after you kick the habit. Repair the damage you've done to yourself, one glass at a time.

Expensive. Fruitless (pun intended). Rely on americans to consume something in excess. Your body doesn't need and cannot process or accept so many vitamins. It's just a waste of cash and tastebuds. But geneally, I rarely eat junkfood and my diet already consists of large variety of vegetables and fruit. I'll pass.

(have you considered nicotine patches? Will or no will, the organism is bound to be upset about being deprived of its drug over night. Might not be a bad idea to use 'em to help it calm down, while persisting in fighting the habit as such!)

I think I heard somewhere that it takes about three days for all the toxins to leave your body. So, if that logic persists, you should be though the worst of it.'


Also, Im still damn proud of you, stuff like this takes character, strength and will. My hats to you, you're a stronger man than I shall ever be.
