Guest Marlon Phoenix
If Duty Officers had a special field (like the employment, security, and medical fields) that they could include notes it would be 110% more accessible as an organization. "Duty Officer Comments" similar to the "security comments" we have currently for security records. Currently we have to rely on heads of staff actually clicking out of the game and cross-checking the duty officer actions in the forums, which is messy. The notes would be visible when reading their employment records. The notes wouldn't be editable by the player, and would be consistent over rounds. I'm sure if you fiddled with character data in the SQL this can be accomplished. This would provide the benefit of me not having to exit the entire game just to make sure the person asking to be reassigned isn't trying to break a restraining order on someone in the consequent department. UnknownMurder
+1 People are nontrustworthy these days with editing their own records. Link to comment
Jboy2000000
As long as they can only add notes and not actually edit records themselves, it has my seal of approval. Link to comment
Owen
I feel that something like this would most definitely help with ongoing punishments on their records. Probably better than having people head to the forums every time. Link to comment
Owen
Something else also just came to mind, CCIA Officials are the ones who lorewise wrote and approved the records that your characters have. It wouldn't make sense that they wouldn't be able to add things to them, like suspensions or injunctions. Maybe a special area on records? Not sure where it would be put if someone actually has filled records. Link to comment
Guest
As long as they can only add notes and not actually edit records themselves, it has my approval. Naturally, I would assume it'd be underneath a separate field. They should only work for employment records. IAA and Heads of Staff are now whitelisted, and should be the only standard crewmembers to have access to them. Link to comment
SierraKomodo
Works for me. It's a much better system than how I'm currently doing it with having to juggle three different forum threads for this stuff. Link to comment
ForgottenTraveller
I would add, as it is per character. That the player has an option to see their current one in the lobby somehow so they can remind themselves as needed. Link to comment

Theres this awkward disconnect between players and DO's with regards to actions and i think this would help better communicate between them. Link to comment
Conservatron
oh please! this will also let heads give feedback to the DOs which can then be added to the records. Link to comment
Arrow768
This has been implemented and DOs are able to add edit the CCIA Records of characters. The serverside code will go live in a few days. A feedback option to DO Notes will not be implemented at this time. Link to comment
