Synnono Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 What it says on the tin! Add Crossfire, Conflux, Infestation, Paranoia, Siege, Visitors and Uprising to a high-intensity secret rotation option that can be voted as an alternative to Secret. That way people can still enjoy some guesswork as to what they're playing without having to muddle up the calmer Secret rotation. Leave Extended in Secret, since voting for this higher-intensity rotation sort of implies you're not up for a calm day.
NoahKirchner Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 +1, would help with the possibility of metagaming high intensity gamemodes.
Chada1 Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 I support this, and would probably vote it a lot, it possibly solves the metagaming issue and still allows it to be voted for directly. One other option that has been discussed in the Revert thread and is mentioned in the OP, is to add them to the regular Secret rotation with a lower percent chance. The only issue with that variant is that people could be forced into a mixed gamemode without the majority even voting for it.
Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 yaaaaaaaaaas please. This would do two things: Combat metagaming, and provide a swath of new narratives for the station to work out.
Rushodan Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 +1 - Could possibly done as an additional game mode titled 'Secret Plus'. This will allow for ALL gamemodes, with the ones with lower popularity having a smaller chance of popping up. I would vote for that any day.
driecg36 Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 +1. Some of the mixed gamemodes are a lot of fun, like crossfire, but since they can only be voted for specifically, they always get metagamed to an extent, even if it's non-malicious/sub-conscious. Having them in their own pool allows for them to be picked, while retaining the more slow-paced gamemodes in secret.
