Change the health display to show locational damage

Often in the heat of things you can have no idea what kind of damage you're actually taking. Chat is a spam during a fight and a lot of the time the only way you'll know a hand has been broken is when you suddenly can't pick things up anymore. Ideally, you'd be able to feel the pain locally to wherever you were hit, but since this is spessmen your only knowledge comes from using examine on yourself.

There's even been times where I've had a hand cut off and didn't even realize it for a good few minutes.

Changing the health display to show localized damage would make recognizing what damage you're taking much more convenient.

Bay has this, and I found it to be really confusing to know when you are reaching crit or ready to pass out. I do prefer our actual system as it stands.

Would there be a way to keep the benefits of our current system while implementing some of theirs? Such as a locational damage indicator like Bay's and a bar below it to indicate general health. You wouldn't be missing on the info our current system provides but would still have a better indicator of where you were taking damage.

Something similar to what I'm referring to has already been implemented in some other servers as it turns out, I believe this is /tg/ code? Pulled from FTLstation but I'm not familiar with their base.

For reference, the issue raised by alberyk was the Bay system's lack of a general health indicator which can (not) be seen here: http://i.imgur.com/dBc43DG.png

Obviously our system could be modified as needed to best suit our needs, but something of this nature is what I was referring to. At the end of the day though, I'm not a coder, so if this is too much work for too little payoff then so be it. It's really just a convenience thing that I'd like to see added.

This ought to be implemented.

I've seen plenty of servers, most running some form of TG code, with this or a similar system. Most of the coding work that needs doing is just porting already existing code and sprites.
