  1. With the addition of allowing easier means for Command to give all access? Anything else?
  2. So most people prefer the old way. When is this being reverted?
  3. What even is the intent of 'balancing' energy weapons and ballistic weapons? Is the fear that ballistics will fall out of favour? That people will only use energy weapons?
  4. I don't care that that's the only nerf they have, it's an awful means of 'balancing' guns.
  5. It has open and closed states.
  6. Well, I'm just using the fact they they're suppose to be a desk job to justify them using a basic pistol rather than an egun. I just want it standardized across the department.
  7. We change up energy based weapons to collectively use insert-able recharge packs, rather than rely on wall mounted chargers. We add a special backpack powered heavy energy rifle for antags. Here's a WIP for a laser rifle powerpack.
  8. Given this is just a formality at this point, perhaps a new thread for a new species is in order? Not even a species, could just be a merchant guild or something with their own style, ect.
  9. Magazine now looks like it fits .45ACP.
  10. I already got in normal looking uniform for them, and now hopefully we can give them a standardized pistol just like everyone else in Sec. The warden being given a free 5 shot kill gun just because, is silly. They're an Officer, for the brig. They should get an Officer's sidearm. The HoS probably wouldn't need a fancy gun, either. They're more a desk job than anything else, so it makes sense that if they were to get a gun, it'd just be a standard pistol and not a miniature egun. I partially want to kill the existance of the epistol, given it's trash. It's got too small a capacity, no specialty. It's function is sort of made redundant by carbines, and conventional pistols which have much better control over when lethals are used.
  11. Replace the .38 the Detective gets with the custom .45 with wood furniture. Also, remove the Warden and HoS' energy pistols in favour of standard .45s.
  12. A population this big is only fun if we actually do something with it thematically like focus on expansionism, overpopulation, limited employment, ect.
  13. They do, and do so often when the situation allows for it. We don't really need a 'game master' that just sits back and decides when the round gets loud or not. That's up to antagonists, stationeers and staff. What does that mean? Currently when we capture lings the research and investigative staff talk to them at length if the ling is willing. Wizards already comply with RnD a fair amount of the time, and interact with them. What RP is being generated in that instance in the first place? It's not everyone else's responsibility to entertain you if you're purposely being abrasive. If someone were to accept money and try to get you out of Security, that'd be called roleplay. How they do so would be up to the individual character. Traitors are a diverse group, so yes, some may not blow their own cover for you. But have you considered trying to interact with them and gaining their trust? You seemingly want a role that exists to let you out of Security when you get caught just because. How about you roleplay instead. When I get caught as traitor, I don't immediately assume the round is over for me. I continue to roleplay with the characters available and depending on the circumstances of my capture that may just be taunting or being tightlipped or going so far as to try and convince them I did nothing wrong. Typically your ID isn't taken, nor is your PDA, or earpiece. Make use of these things, communicate. On top of that, you can literally just fight your way out if you try hard enough. There's tools everywhere in the brig. How are you even getting caught, and for what reasons? Sometimes it's just bad luck, you got caught holding a gun. Sure, fair. Now you're fucked and you likely don't have much to tell investigations about, ahelp maybe you can get some extra leeway or something. Sometimes it's your own fault. If you were shooting people, and sec caught you- that's on you. Don't let that happen next time. Either plan for Security's response, or time it better. Why is it an issue that you expended your chances in these instances of you intentionally creating the situations that got you caught in? Currently, as I already said, there are still avenues for RP even after that. You want a "get out of jail" free card, which is unreasonable. Research is already capable of looking into the weirder antags, but even so you aren't very specific on what you want.
  14. Detectives, Investigators, Researchers, and Psychologists all have the task of dealing with post-imprisonment/capture characters. It all depends on how the antag acts and if these characters are aboard, as to whether this happens or not. This is more mechanical, then actually roleplay intensive. Or we could just sedate them heavily, or cyborg them, or put them in isolation. Uh, how about just pay someone to save you, and RP with them? Or don't get caught in the first place.
  15. Add variants of every ammo as practice ammo, for gimmicks and station-side practice.
  16. We remove the SecHUD's occupational identifiers so you can't just glance at someone and see a big [?] to know they're wearing an agent ID.
  17. Someone- please- design ponchos for them, and special armor. And a backpack. They don't look like a legitimate ERT, they look like a meme. The gun also needs a lethal sprite.
  18. Mercenary should require a base amount of Command, Security, and Medical personnel. Or something, feel free to make suggestions. But the current readied up system as a means off judging when to launch these sorts of rounds isn't very good.
