  1. You need to understand that there is no immediate SOP to follow. Ergo, no change can be conducted.
  2. I'll ref the SOP doc I have and still intend to impliment. Eventually. Once I get home on what its policy on this is. Ideally, a weapon needs to be stowed securely, which slinging a baton through vest webbing is not. EDIT/ADDITION: to quote the new SOP on chapter 3, paragraph a, section i, first point states, Chapter three is alert levels, paragraph a is concerning Code Green, section i contains regulation applying to Security under the aforementioned conditions.
  3. I'd like to think that I've been in a similar spot, Halo. It became about due to the fact that I needed to cut down on the amount of time I spent on the server, very abruptly and rather aggressively. Once I came back, all of my characters had no threads to pick up on, and a lot of the people I regularly conversed about with the game had taken major steps back. It was rather odd, felt like I needed to crack through some kind of wall. But I managed to do it, simply by starting to play again. That's my experience with something similar. How you choose to handle this, I'll leave that up to you. Your services, and the same is applicable for every single contributor, from normal user to administrator, are greatly appreciated. And despite not having interfaced too much with you (timezones, thank you), I would still wish to thank you. Have a great day, and the best of luck with whatever you choose to do!
  4. It is an idea to be entertained, once specific mechanics can be figured out. And I will keep it as a postit on my monitor, however. I'd like to wait a bit, because I'm running an update on some large chunks of code, and I'm unsure whether or not I'll be dipping into mob/say code with it. But, the next project I'm tracking will involve preferences, so setting up this could go along with it. I'll make a discussion thread once I get around to it. On topic: I really like the idea of this custom item (simple, nothing special mechanics wise, encourages roleplay), and will get it done (won't be using GOON sprite, however, because GOON is closed and I don't want to fuck with the potentially issues using that sprite may cause).
  5. Suggestions reviewed and binned as of 11OCT2014.
  6. I'm just going to roll with a general, "Nope." Point one, the security vest, has already ben cleared up by others. It's a fabric vest, made out kevlar weave and perhaps some space-age shenanigans. It already is what you want it to be. Poin two, the stronger tasers. No. It's powergamey, completely unnecessary, and will simply lead to abuse. If you are not in control of the situation to the extent where you can land two (because in most cases, the normal taser takes two hits to drop someone) consecutive hits in a short amount of time, or close the distance and utilize a baton, then I will gladly tell you to look at another job on station. Mechanics cannot be used to circumvent roleplay, or make up for personal inability to utilize the mechanics already in play. Third point will receive yet another, "Nope." The bomb kits are already in play: they are known as a "Toolbox" utilized in conjunction with a "bombsuit". One can be attained from the armour, second from the tool storage or EVA. As far as sniffers go, no. You are working in a compound which has explosives manufacture and testing as a standard, daily occurance. They would provide an n-count of false positives purely on the count of the scientists roaming about - would be impractical as hell. Facility security relies on the premise that you catch anyone trying to smuggle anything in, but let those already in work with minor restraint. Also, the SWAT team. No, you have ERT for that. Yes, military bases have MPs trained for tactical response, but this equates to security using the armoury to gear up for a riot, which is already a thing.
  7. One of the very few sane chaplains, with an actually interesting faith. Item's already done, code-wise. Sprite's coming up and it'll be done within the next few days, barring horribleness.
  8. Item added, spawn code present. If issues arise, please contact myself over the forums.

  14. How about no one does this? Or I will flat out deny any code I am presented. I'm sick and tired of people bypassing me, if they want a large modification such as this done. I really don't care who writes it, that's not the issue. The issue is the flow of information, and organization of workflow. Initiative is nice and all, but this is overzealous, and it throws more wrenches into the cogs than is needed. So, I propose this to happen next: Covert compiles a list of properties he wants his race to have ingame. He sends them to me. I will evaluate, including input from people I deem necessary (such as the Head Administrator), provide input, and develop the idea until we have a fleshed out list of shenanigans. Following this, we put the code into production, and voila. Simple, I'd like to think. And this is all in a, most likely vain, attempt to make sure the crap that happened with Kocasslani does not get repeated.
  15. Denied, archiving. Vigilante characters are not something that I will endorse, specially through custom items.

In production, will be integrated come update.
  17. Next time, Glamour, chuck a forumPM at my face. Also, a blunted knife wouldn't be any more useful than a screwdriver, so that's how it's going to land in the code. Otherwise, will be pushed into production.
  18. Okaay, there's a magical line drawn somewhere in the sand. And actually, that's how it used to be. Right now, that line has a large fence built over it. I'm going to move onto a "denied" stance on this. Here's why: the items you are applying for, I do not believe that you have roleplay in mind with them. Instead, you just want to make your character overly distinguishable and unique. Which, is not what custom items are for. This is further proven by the way you describe the items, basically, they'd be cool skins for things you already have access to. As such, I see no point in giving them to you, if the point of a custom item is to provide some new possibilities for the character to develop roleplay.
  19. Office supplies, sure. Will be put into production.
  20. God damn it, diffcult spot. Theoretically, you would have your own wheelchair, because you'd need it for more than simply moving around on CC/station. But there's some voice that keeps going, "Nope" about it. Probably the way you've presented it. More specifically, the name (Calling an item, "Kit's pussywagon" is ridic, by the standards that I hold myself to). Oh, yup, it's the presentation. I'll talk to you about it once I get a chance over skype.
  21. Considering the literal amount of "smug" your retort contained when you discovered that the ban had not stuck, I'm still leaning on "no." But I'll leave the final say to FFrances.
  22. Actually, no. Gobledewhatever you want to call yourself, hi. A quick run of the logs, and some number matching found this account as belonging to you. You attempted 4 logins under the CKey of Haymitch, which were blocked. No attempt was made with the CKey Wilmungo. Meaning: you attempted to actively bypass a ban. Further more, despite being horribly hilarious, you were a general dick and I don't care to have you back. I'll leave the wrapping up here to FFrances and Pumpking, but that's my 3 cents on the matter.
  23. So, your ckey isn't on our ban list. Which means you are attempting to subvert a previous ban by utilizing a different account, but it's still being ensnared by our systems. There are three bans by me under the specific reason of, "Griefer." One of them attempted login twice, just a few moments ago, under a different CKey. So, who are you?
  24. I'll check out how much it costs, and I may be game. Note, I've booted PayDay 2 only once on my Steam. So hueh.
  25. Actually, I have a bit of an idea. I can go fetch the more advanced hardsuit code that Baystation has existed for some time, and then perhaps work on some modification to it. Basically, things we could look at: Differing HUD setups and functions Differing symbiosis options with suit specific equipment (you get some bonuses if you're using weaponry with a sec hardsuit, for example) Close range, closed circuit comms network between hardsuits (imagine an always on radio, to overcome the lack of verbal comms in spess, would be helmet functionality) And cupcakes.
