I would have to give this a firm no, because of the attitude displayed towards other members of the community who are objecting to your application. You said you could handle stress, anger, and insults very well in your application, however, this application has given me the exact opposite impression. You've resorted to ad hominem, which is never really okay for a moderator. Doesn't really seem like the kind of staff member we need, sorry.

I feel like Bran is really skewing the facts here. So I'll give my rundown as the bartender who was the witness of the whole thing: First, Braden Vader and his friend were pretending to be disabled to "bring awareness to the disabled of NanoTrasen with the guy who wasn't Vader being role played as actually disabled. Okay, it's different and seemed a little shifty but whatever, I can deal. So I serve them their drink and then go back to watching them. The disabled guy "fell" into the bin and was pulled out by another patron (whoever plays Ildenberg, I think). Jun Ivanova (Bran) comes in and drags this guy in the wheelchair away from the bin and punches him once. The two obviously react badly and Vader hits Jun and Jun hits back. I remember this because I had to go find space cleaner to clean up the two individual pools of blood. At which point I told them to get out. They continue fighting and I go to grab my shotgun. I see Vader retreating slightly but can't get a bead on anyone so I aim at Jun and tell all three of them to get out. She doesn't comply so I fire. Then Vader leaves and Jun chases him after being shot. They leave. Okay, not my problem anymore. Then I hear punching outside the bar, and looking at my attack logs and see they started fighting again. Seeing as I heard it ICly and security hasn't arrived, I peek out. I see Vader on the table with Jun punching him. At this point I go back in, see the cadet, the only active security, and say they were fighting and still are. So the cadet comes out and, wanting to see what would happen next, I follow. At this point, they're fighting, although Jun is getting her ass handed to her. I try to push over both of them as the cadet comes to help. I managed to push one of them over and then got pushed over and punched a few times. At this point, Jun has a wrench and Vader has a cane. So, Vader runs away as the cadet comes by and takes off towards Medbay. He is able to grab the taser and fire at the cadet, albeit missing him. He disappears into Medbay, locking the door. I ask for Medbay to come to the lobby because both myself and the cadet are injured and it allows the cadet to continue on. I then left and went to cryo because it wasn't my issue anymore. From what I saw, and as I said to Tablespoon when asked, Bran kind of stretched it, probably understandable as he kinda got rekt-9. That's just my opinion from what I saw in character and through attack logs in realtime. For the record, when they left the bar, Jun punched first.

I like this idea. Maybe in the form of thermal clips, ala Mass Effect? It'd be a nice thing. Maybe even instead with a debuff to compensate? I don't know, mang. Just throwing ideas.

Since it fires a powerful ass laser, there's no real way to dissipate the heat in space (same reason IPCs need the suit cooling unit). I mean, I guess you could go with the whole 'it has its own cooling system' thing, of course, but I think that could be an easy solution to it. The crazy sniper rifle of doom and hellfire needs time to dissipate the heat into the area around it, and when in space, can only fire once. I've been a security officer who, when faced with a hostage situation, grabbed a sniper rifle and a hardsuit, jettisoned out into space, waited until the hostage taker showed his back, and then fired.

I think we're improving, now that some of the toxic (read: cancerous) elements of the community have moved on, even though they still post on the subreddit about us because no life, but I digress. I'm actually playing now, sometimes, which is more than I could say two or three months ago when, to be honest, I wanted nothing to do with the pointless drama because people take 2D spessmens way too seriously. Personally, I'm having fun, I know other people are having fun, too. We don't get as many griefers as a year ago, which is always good. I've noticed this whole anti-establishment crusade where people accuse the staff of favoritism and all, which I find to be untrue. I hate everyone equally. Kidding, at least, the hating part. People feel way too singled out, for no reason other than they want to be special, I guess. Not to mention this whole two schools of thought, as Japak put it: It seems to me that the Corporate Space Station Work Simulator 2457 group is what fosters this whole sense of elitism that seems to run through the community. Like, I get it, you like your roleplay, but get over yourself, it's still a game. For the record, this isn't addressed to any individual in particular, but we all know those people are out there. I can't be assed to type up volumes of social commentary and in-depth treatises because, I'm really just here to play and have fun doing something I like. I don't exactly see why the complaint was warranted, seeing as you have the issue with the warning itself. You were warned for violating rules and continuing after staff told you to stop. That's how the rules work, you violate them and disciplinary action is taken because of it. You can debate whether or not you meant to reference the genocide of over a million people, but the point is, staff took it as though you were being inflammatory, with at least one person mentioning that they felt personally offended due to their nationality, and thus you were spoken to and warned. The others who were performing said action were also spoken to by other staff members, so it's not an issue of cherrypicking, as some in this thread have commented, albeit for what reason they found, I have no clue. I've been cordial to you over OOC, so there's no real evidence of any sort of personal vendetta or what have you. I carried out what the entire moderation staff at the moment agreed would be the best course of action. The warning is true, you can't deny that. You did make Nazi-related remarks in OOC and even after OOC was muted, you translated it, which you shouldn't have done. Just because you're asked to do something by another player, doesn't mean you shouldn't, and definitely doesn't grant you immunity from the probable consequences surrounding that action.

I'm not sure why this is a ban request. I can see a player complaint if you believe it to be conduct unbecoming of a whitelisted player, but a ban request for a trivial action? It seems, like Mirk said, there is this crusade by people who want this to be Corporate Workstation Simulator 2457. Now, I know you have said it's not relevant to this thread, but it is in fact. Maybe that's why it's a ban request instead of a player complaint? I don't know, but I wouldn't support a ban simply for the actions stated. It was goofy fun, which is what we're here for, correct?
