So, a corporation with strong ties with Alliance and is under the jurisdiction of the Alliance is going to allow a known informant to work on one of its space stations? First, there's an issue with the backstory involved. If Hup was found out to be an SC spy by the SA, he'd be charged with espionage and quite possibly treason. Now, your backstory seems to imply that he escaped back to his home planet, and was subsequently exiled from it, carrying only his uniform, etc. If that were so, would he really be able to escape back into Alliance territory and then get a job as a Head of Security on a NanoTrasen station, which is one of the biggest corporations in Alliance territory? Now, this is also an issue I have with the jumpsuit in particular. Now, I understand that using real-life examples isn't the law of the land, but it helps to have some support that is grounded in real life. The United States Army dictates that duty uniforms (which I'm assuming this jumpsuit is) cannot be worn in connection with the furtherance of any political or commercial interest. Also, it cannot be worn when in off-duty civilian employment. Formal uniforms, I can understand... to a point. But wearing your duty uniforms while on a civilian space station seems to bring across the image that....well, the SC is a presence aboard the Aurora. It's like seeing uniformed SAA members commanding the security forces, it's just a meh point for myself.

I wrassle, and that's about it. Only went 7-5 this season because I sprained my elbow and well, wrasslin' with a sprained elbow for a month will end up with you having to see a doctor. Basically, the swelling in my elbow got so bad that it was pushing my ulnar nerve (the funny bone, I guess) up, and well, sensory overload. It wasn't that I lost strength in the arm, but that the signals my brain was sending through the nerve to bend my elbow weren't getting through completely. That, and I had a bicep strain during the pre-season. Overall, it was one of the most grueling four months of my life. Still can't wait for next season.

A better solution to this would be to just have a single custom item that is a jacket with armor underneath? Doesn't need to be flashy like the HoS', enough to stand out without deviating from uniform too much. I don't see how a conversion kit could turn into two different jackets? Or modify an existing jacket. Doesn't make any sense...at all.

Cassy's Beep-Boop IPC Whitelist Application
incognitojesus replied to Cassie's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
It'd be appreciated if the community could point out what they like about the applicant's IC conduct or portions of the application they liked, instead of just +1. There's a reason we shifted away from that approach. -
Locking & archiving.

No. Unban appeals are on the open forums specifically so that they can be accessed by both the community and staff. Although the final decision is ultimately made by staff, community input is welcome and in fact encouraged so long as it is relevant to the issue at hand.

Right-o. Basically, before IncognitoJesus was IncognitoJesus (I guess you could say, it was the one time in my life I was actually Incognito, hue). he was in several ARMA II milsim units. Dorky? Probably, but it was nice. Either way, it was through ARMA that I met somebody named Casey, who was an admin on Best-RP. It was on BRP that I forged my knowledge of general game mechanics, my first round being an assistant (who wasn't bald, in fact) who was led around by a Tajaran captain (okay, the rules may or may not have been bent for him) throughout the station. I was promoted to Blueshield so it at least looked somewhat okay. I had the game mechanics explained to me, and then Casey logged off and I was on my own. I started playing on my own after he stopped playing, and then well, yeah. I bounced around from various jobs, and had a few different characters (Hardic Rammendeep, for one). Either way, I decided I wanted to try something new, so I loaded up Alium Deathtrap. From there, I went and found the nearest SSD and began strangling him in the escape airlock. I then got a PM from Walter which asked me to find the rule I broke or something to that effect, Idunno. I then said, "What rule?" and was then perma'd. I think it's still in effect, but whatever. That was my first ban, one of only two. I then ventured out to Apoc Station. Basically, I was talking about how horrible the AI was and then got a day ban from the lovely staff members there for apparently "OOC in IC." I assumed the AI was a friend of theirs, and shrugged it off. Whatever, it's only a game. I then went to Apollo for a round or two, where I said one thing in OOC and Battlejesus was on so obviously, he said something about my ckey. I decided to leave, and more than a year ago, I ended up on Aurora. I started Senri Toya, who then became Senri Ishikawa, and yeah.

Samantha is an example of a competent medical member (heh, member). Puts work before play for the most part, from what I've seen. I like how the speech impediment is consistent all the time, and isn't dismissed despite that she's undergoing speech therapy. I think I've noticed an improvement over time, which takes dedication. Also, she's as neurotic as a Sim in a dirty house. But despite this, she actually makes an effort to talk to Senri, despite his anti-social behavior at times, which is always nice. I personally think that Daniela is one of the best consistent psychiatrists we've had on Aurora. Not only does she actually sit down and have long winded conversations with her patients (I've had two go through this, myself), she makes an effort to break through the apprehension some people may feel, and actually asks them the questions that need to be asked, without being too overbearing or being smart-aleck. And as previously stated, she is not some psychological immortal, and is prone to have issues of her own, which makes her human. I'm very glad Milo is back, it's nice to have a Head of Security that I can trust based off of previous experience working with them and knowing that they are a competent leader who is not afraid to bend the rules a bit, without going too overboard--so long as the situation calls for it. Yeah, he can be a dick, but if you follow his orders without being illogical and a stupid mongoloid about it, he is at heart not the biggest asshole. Also, as we saw before, he is prone to making decisions that aren't the best, and may sometimes lose the whole....Southern gentleman thing he's got going on (such as when he took a tap at Reini's heiney).

Don't enforce paperwork in obligatory game areas.

The process at the checkpoint (from my experience) was literally, walk up to the window, put your ID on the counter, the officer filled in your information on a form (which took about five seconds), and then all you had to do was sign and then you were buzzed in. EDIT: I'd also like to point out that it wasn't just IC disgruntlement that Cassie displayed, but in OOC as well. -
Not many people have given me feedback on Senri, which is a tad disappointing. Alas, alas. Would someone care to? Or Zhang Jie, my Captain? Or Leo & Damian Del Prado?

The issue with having security in the middle is that....well, it's supposed to be secure. It's a civilian station, therefore security should be tucked away in a secluded area. Also, seeing as security tends to be the biggest target for nuke ops and people who hate 'da waw', it tends to be bombed a lot. A LOT. Therefore, sticking said big target in the middle of your nice floating tub isn't the best idea, both ICly and OOCly. One bomb, or more likely two or so, and you completely cripple access through the middle of the station. Sure, faster response times, but we're just trying to make their jobs easier at this point, which we shouldn't. Security is a department that could quite possibly be called the most challenging of them all, because of the variety of scenarios that have to be addressed. One of these is response time. If you can be down there in literally three seconds, the antagonist doesn't have the ability to make an escape because he gets lolfucked over by security.
