Okay so after reading this a few times I think the only thing I can tell you is that you need to read the wiki before you apply, there are several mistakes here that alone will get your application denied. Read the wiki and edit your post then comment that you have edited and I'll read over again.

  3. Now most of you are adults, and some of those adults have taken life-saving courses and know this; you ain't doing CPR right unless you are trying to break their ribs. (While humming staying alive) So as title suggests, make it so CPR has a chance to break your ribs, it makes sense and is easily treated. I know CPR is OP already so give it this small nerf to balance it out. ^^

  5. I've already given multiple solid reasonings for why 'borgs are immune. For the same reason Loyalty implants don't allow conversion-- because even if Cultists did 'convert' a 'borg, they would reset to their old lawset. IPCs who have loyalty programming are still immune just like 'borgs are, IPCs without it are compromiseable. 'Borgs and IPCs are not the same and comparing them is not a flawless comparison, it's a very rough one. The idea of giving IPCs similar abilities to Constructs is neat, and i'd support that. Okay I can live with that explanation. Let's build on the construct idea (literally) and give IPC's their respective strength and keep their weakness. It makes sense that a semi-soulless being can serve the cult to some extent, but not at the same level as a normal creature can.
  6. As i suggested before, allow IPC's to act as semi-artificers. Acting more as a builder than the grab + convert humans do. The different races already have strong plusses and minuses in cult mode alone. Give IPC's their own role instead of shooting them in the leg with a shotgun and writing it off as an "improvement". This or keep them out, they are IPC's, why would they convert at all considering THEY HAVE NO FEELINGS OR OBLIGATION TO BE RELIGIOUS. Honestly if IPC's can be converted why not borgs?
  7. Thing is that this server sort of punishes stealth antags that complete their goal without a major interaction with the crew, this is understandable as we are high-rp ish. But I agree with robots on their own shouldn't be able to sense magic, let alone use it when the inherited magic is of sacrifice and blood. Perhaps make it so IPC'S are able to use their own body to create crystal like objects that help them channel their "magic". Let them sacrifice part of their upper arm to make a "crystal shaped like a see-through pen, the inside flowing with a mix of oil,metal and something softly glowing. While gazing on it you feel a soft pressure in the back of your mind, a whisper can be heard but the massage unheard." Treating IPC more like artifice is a step in the right direction I believe, removing them seems a bit overkill, especially when Cconsidering how many of our players play this filthy machine race.

  9. Perhaps we could make it a two stage thing where blood draining is stage one and actual feasting is stage two? Where at the end of stage one you get the full benefit of learning any language the person/squid/reptile/feline/insect (not sure about the cute little ants) and at the end of stage two you leave behind some gibs and that's it.
  10. Finally, it's time to add this. I'm all for going all the way but as Fowl said, 3 minutes is a bit short but more than 6 minutes is a huge kick to all antags and takes out time for interaction with crew. Keep it around 5 minutes and I'll be happy, and I wouldn't mind if we ate everything The closer to the source-lore the better ^^

    Right now there is only 3 ways to obtain flares to my knowledge. One is in emergency toolboxes, these are not garuanteed. One is security officer lockers, these are not open for crew to get access too. Last is the random spawns in the warehouse (I think, I got one in a warehouse crate once), again not garuanteed. You can not make flares, you can not order flares, you CAN steal flares but this is antagonistic and a bad-bad for non-antags. Make flares makeable from autolathes, or give us a crate for them in cargo ordering, or even better; make flares in-extinguish able. All races on board should have easy access to their emergency supply (Oxygen etc) give us trees that as well.

  14. Hey, Witness here. So I like your story overall, feels a bit hollow and baseline, but we don't ask for masterpieces here. Problem is you made your diona smile, Nymphs have no faces making it impossible for a Dionae to smile. Also remember that Dionae do not feel feelings the same way as we do, they have a grasp on it and can learn it as they grow older but at one point the feelings they feel will numb and they will become more and more emotionless. You also never answered all the questions correctly so I would like to see that fixed as well. Overall as the app is currently you get a -1 from me.   15. There are two buttons that do the same thing, one being "synthetic takeover" allowing you the machine from construction borgs, "machine override" (not the explode machines one). Both hack all APC's, synthetic takeover one hacks AI's aswell and allows you to build the machine.
  16. So playing malf is "easy" yet I rarely see it done in a way that truly engages the crew so I'm here to give a few short hints. 1. Don't rely on your borgs to do everything, yes they are helpful and yes you should use them but they are not your weapon, they are a tool in your toolbox. 2. Don't be afraid to use your bombing ability, BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN BOMB THE CREW WILLY NILLY! Your bombs are close to max caps and are extremely potent, just not as direct weaponry. And bombing people is cheap and boring anyways so bomb apc`s close to the exterior and let the lack of oxygen slowly kill the crew, but don't go overboard, you are there to make people have fun, not kill them for no reason. 3. Use the station, there are only a handful of machines on the station you can not interface with, and they are there for a very good reason, the rest of the station is a free for all and none of the crew know it! 4. I am certain that removing the common channel will not do anything other than to force the neets on our server to actually move their spaceman from their hidden broom-closet of their job to other people to RP, it is also in my opinion a good way to solve the everlasting ";help getting succ maint! " problem. I see the drawbacks but it would be interesting to see if our playerbase are able to handle change as well as the medical guys did when we hit their medbay. -Sebbe
  19. Hello, AI that got Coalf killed here. Yes at the time I disagreed with my decision being directly wrong and yes I got salty myself over getting my first can't-be-removed warning but in hindsight I agree with my warning and I hold no gripes against alb or Coalf who I didn't know I actually killed before this thread (I have no idea who I RP with when I am ingame, I just play and have fun) I greatly enjoy Coalf and his shenanigans, I do not hold any gripes against him and I hope he considers me with some branch of respect at least but I will speak my mind on the issue I have observed on both of you the last few months. Coalf is a nice dude that wants the best for everyone, he does this by meming and being the class clown, working in ahelp and doing great (as far as I know) but he has the problem of getting emotional and letting this steer his hand. Burger on the other hand is a player I don't really know who is ingame except for his chef character (Diona) I follow his PRs in github and watch him with glee as I hope the next thing he adds has any interest to me or affects me in a major way. Problem is that as I see it Burger is stubborn, maybe more so than me and can't take criticism as well as I expect from someone who spends so much time trying to please other people by adding to the game he enjoys, in turn making him slightly edgy in how he articulates himself and in turn have made me hesitant towards him, and this is just from reading what he writes. These players from my perspective have huge great sides and are pillars of the community, but as any other human have things that aren't perfect. I hope you two can make up as you both represent two parts of the community I enjoy, as all boy-skuabbles I hope this is just a point where feelings have boiled over and a release was needed.   20. I understand that it makes them more alien in having less, however, it would only be for special species-restricted wear to allow certain positions to fufil a occupational-related task. And I'm pretty sure a curious Dionae would love to have a shiny ring on a tendril. As for the eye slots, lore-wise they would be able to keep an object on their face with more tendrils- if need be, I can ask to see this slot restricted as well so they can only wear things like medical or security HUDs instead of full on sunglasses, as that is rather silly to see with something more or less mono-eyed. Just be glad I ain't askin' for shoes for them, kiddo *cough* remember that Dionae have eyes all over their body, hence our weakness to flashes.
  21. Sorry boss, but i'm against hands on the Dionae, eye slot is already pushing it a bit too far already for me and mittens is waaay to far in my opinion. Give us the buff instead (Even though trees conduct electricity) Having less slots were something I liked about the Dionae, don't give us even more plz.

I remember a game tried to implement a white-noise ear ringing, within hours hundreds of players reported massive headaches (including me and I do not have any major damage to my ears or any conditions) I am completely against noise like that but the suggestion itself is a huge +1 as a Diona main
  23. Alright, as the second idea was more popular and I enjoyed it more I will go with that. So current plans for this is: Expensive, needs different chemicals that do organs, eyes, brain and such. Requires synthflesh or what it's called. Takes a long time, upwards of ten minutes depending on the damage, or I will make it so a damage threshold needs to be met. Failure chance to create Eyes, limbs, maybe something else non-essential. As for lore I'm thinking something along the lines of: The glass chamber filled with (chemicals and other parts) takes the deceased crew-member and melts them down to a genetic level, using the DNA to recreate the creature as it was. This process is described as "Painful beyond comprehension" and is not recommended for dead or alive crew. This experimental technology is highly unstable and prone to failure with parts that don't meet a sufficient standard. (Upgrading machine lowers/removes chance of failure and speeds it up a bit.) Thoughts?

  25. Just letting you know that the point of this was to find a nice balance on how defibs/whatever else you suggested I would project function and pros/cons. Making death the final version is sorta the opposite of this thread...
