These look like Cake's ESRA sprites were mildly recolored...

I RISE THEE FROM THE DEAD BECAUSE THIS SHOULD DEFINITELY BE A THING. Sorry I swear I'll never do this again No, really. Maybe replace the bookshelves with some holo-archives of sorts. Still sorted by genre, with the ability to... A: Pick up a pad or reader of sorts somewhere else in the library to be able to scan and download a copy of a particular book B: Download to PDA? C: It spits out a copy of the holobook. Which is really just a kind of futuristic looking space-scifi book, or maybe a glass slate that can be "swiped" to turn the page. There's a lot of potential here and this could be so cool for Aurora if it made it to a fully fleshed-out idea.

Bump? Granted, the code team is probably swamped with newcode adjustments, but I'd still like to see this be put in some time soonish-ish.

0/10 he did a mean to me pls ban immediate Nah, seriously, give Senpai their whitelist. A great RPer to hang with and a pretty swell person OOCly, I've never been left with a sour taste by their RP or interactions. I'm fully confident that they can hiss effectively!

I loved this application, and have seen Whirlow (albeit silently as they seem to be) from the medbay before. Your name doesn't come to mind as a chemist Jonathan constantly has to have arrested, and I was going to offer you the benefit of the doubt with an endorsement. ...Except, your follow-up attitude throws me some serious red flags. It's very off-putting to the whole thing here, and it almost looks as if you are arguing that you should be accepted on the basis of not wanting to put yourself out there for someone to see and note. It isn't that difficult a thing to do. I have half a mind to oppose this solely due to your nearly outright hostile disposition to Killerhurtz. Furthermore, negative image is not subjective, but it is vague as the topic covers a lot. Does the player chucklefuck? Do they tend to hunt down and execute antags wordlessly? Do they know the game very well to begin with? They are all valid points that players are allowed and encouraged to bring up when judging an app. This system has worked since the dawn of Aurora. We are not going to start making exceptions now because one person won't go interact with people.

Icuris' IPC Whitelist Application
Jennalele replied to Icuris's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I could support this, and could see Sieverts totally offering free maintenance for a fellow scrapman. Your RP skills are pretty swell, and this character is pretty great too. You have my +1! -
Possible but unlikely, unless the IPC practically overloads their vent to force air into someone's lungs. I mean, if Shells are ever re-added, I could see an air mechanism being implemented into them, but else, it's kind of silly. Back on the original suggestion, however: Yes, they always say that if you're not breaking their ribs, you're probably not doing it right. CPR is a forceful thing, but it can save your life.
-
While we're at it, can we do something about this hilarious fact?: Decanus performs CPR on Milo Skirzet! Decanus performs CPR on Milo Skirzet! LOOC: Milo Skirzet/LordQuailius : is an ipc giving me cpr LOOC: Ariana Eshlian/SierraKomodo : Yes LOOC: Milo Skirzet/LordQuailius : wat IPCs can give people CPR. It's great, but where is that air coming from?

This has so much potential, and in the morning, I'll make a list of ideas I can spitball in here. I want this. I need this. Bonus points if it can somehow tie into the station AIs, Cyborgs and maybe even IPCs.

LOGIN>Nyzshia PASSWORD>************ ACCESS LEVEL>UND%F&NED%##$??? NET ACCESS: GRANTED WELCOME A sleek, black visor with gold and blue trims appears over the holovideo feed. The voice is feminine and modulated, sounding almost synthetic in nature. It holds a very smooth tone. The video feed seems to glitch and twitch, sparks of static flying occasionally. Her head tilts just before the video feed cuts off, a slanted nod of acknowledgement. The back of her neck is visible- It seems stilted and mechanical. Probably a custom chassis IPC. Oh well.

The Viscera Cleanup Detail will be real. And I want it. I need it.

A good way to prevent the morgue from becoming a deathtrap could be a simple mechanic of "Bodybagging and morgue traying a body prevents the miasma from escaping." Still. I like this idea, and agree with Tish.

( They probably meant 293, not -293. ANYWAYS. ) If this were changed up a little, I'd love this idea. I'd say remove the Faraday cage, because it doesn't seem to serve a purpose past removing the EMP vulnerability. Plain ol' cryo dunk for you. Theeen the actual "person'. For instance, the brain would have to be HEAVILY modified to withstand this. Implants, augments, you name it. This may also facilitate the "only so much time can be spent out of the cryo tank" need; The body can't sustain itself, as the brain literally cannot focus on supporting its own body for that long a period of time. BUT OH, THERE'S MORE! If the modern SCAI units are synthetically grown, it's possible that they've been subject to eugenics programs and genetic modifications that heighten their capabilities, making them capable of this in the first place. Normal human volunteers for the early SCAI projects may have died or "shorted" from the stress endured, who knows. The two added laws could be removed and sort of "implemented" as an actual inhibitor in the unit, so it's made more of an expectation to the player than a stated, blatant law. Perhaps it's part of their heavy augmentations that allow them to interface with the station. While hooked into the cage, they have vision over all the camera networks, etc, and can interface with them. While roaming, this ability is stunted, so they can only interact with things up close or at a limited range to a pAI card (also a mechanical balance for being able to actually roam of their own will). Their mob would probably be very susceptible to both EMP and brute attack both, with atrophied muscle not really allowing them to hit back as hard.

Since the newcode update, Level 7 now includes spacevines and other annoying biomasses.

Reporting Personnel: Sieverts Rank of Reporting Personnel: Maintenance Technician (Level 1) Personnel Involved: Henry Fisher the Station Engineer(Subject of complaint(Nethros)), Roy Wyatt the Atmospherics Technician(Witness(Keinto)), Andrew Barnes the Scientist(Subject of complaint(Bedshaped)) Time of Incident: Roughly 8:00 Station Time onwards Real time: ( Some time between 7 and 9 AM server time. ) Location of Incident: Various locations, including solars, engine room, comms and research maintenance Nature of Incident: [X]Workplace Hazard [X]Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [X]Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault [X]Misconduct [X]Other: GROSS incompetence. Overview of the Incident: From the time he arrived to the time the crew transferred, Mr. Fisher caused nothing but trouble for this department. This truly began to show when a blob appeared in Research maintenance, near the shuttle dock. After it's neutralization, this one attempted to begin repairs. I was constantly assaulted by gusts of air and pressure as Mr. Fisher came in and out of the area, failing to use inflatable barriers or other precautions, or even communicating that he was coming inside. This one feels it pertinent to the complaint to add that he was not even attempting to repair the breach or fix the structural damage; He was wiring the solar arrays, instead, claiming that power was failing in a localized area. Even after this one explained that this was due to the blob eating some wires, he continued to faff about on the arrays instead of assisting as requested. He drew the ire of the rest of the department even further towards the end of the shift when he brought a scientist, Andrew Barnes, into the Engine Room, both him and his new friend without radiation suits. They quickly succumbed to the Supermatter's hallucinogenic effects, and had to be shuttled out by Medical. Mr. Fisher claimed that Mr. Barnes was "showing him the ropes," and that he "knew more about the engine than anyone else in the department." Soon afterwards, other Engineers vocalized their disappointment and annoyance with Mr. Fisher's antics, to which he replied with verbal hostilities, such as "Corbin, eat my shit with peanuts added in." It is this one's observation and belief from the incidents displayed that Mr. Fisher does not know how to operate adequately in Engineering. He is immature, reckless, and does not know enough about his department to be considered a fully qualified Engineer. This one is certain that if any heads of staff were capable, his demotion would have been filed for on the spot. -Sieverts Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: None available Additional notes:

Congratulations, it's a monkey. I remember the hilarity of this incident. Welcome back!

Didn't you guys steal it from somewhere, then panicked and shoved it into maint when security came looking..?

People who play a race for the mechanics are shit and should be burnt on someone's porch as such. I still play my bugs, just not every day, because I'm sort of at the max 20 slots and shit and have a lot of characters to juggle. Zo-Karix and Krexik are still about at leeeast once a week.
-
I like Sierra's proposition here. It prevents everything from going to hell in a handbasket immediately on code red, but still leaves the mechanic of "Clean this shit, man, it's unsanitary."
-
What if we alter fire alarm sprites minorly to show a second light, then roll with Sierra's idea? Code Blue Medical would be the code blue light, and then the secondary light lights up in white to show it as a medical alert, blue for security, yellow for engineering, etc.

Not going to textwall y'all. Make the Traitor revolver fit into a goddamn holster, it's not like it's got an outlandish, un-holsterable design. Please. This pains me greatly.

Furthermore, understanding that a head whitelisted player is also an example to other players... Given your conduct and snide remarks to others in this thread, not to mention an echoed agreement with many of the sentiments shared about Mark, I'm going to -1 this. Seeing negative feedback and replying with "kek, guess someone didn't read the rest of the thread" or something along those lines is rude. Wise up.

[AUTO-CANON]The Winterking Flotilla
Jennalele replied to Omnivac's topic in Lore Canonization Applications Archive
I would like to. It's cool as heck, and I've got ideas. -
All hail Emperor Vitellia. No really, Valor is a pretty great guy and I love playing on his shifts because I know that he has his, and the station's shit together. He's pleasant to RP with, even if my longest RP with him was as a disembodied shade.

LordRaven001's Unathi Application
Jennalele replied to LordRaven001's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Tentatively +1ing this pending improvement and rewrites. Raven is great with feedback and is proving more eager to improve than a self-learning AI. I'm actually vaguely impressed.
