If you mean the mention of another Android on my Moderator Application, I previously had another character called "Android". It was a generic NanoTrasen Android, and every round it was a new one. It was my way of getting into the server. It was never Andy, however. However if you meant my mention on a different post about another android named ANDY misbehaving or however they were acting to get a slightly bad reputation, I never met that one either, but a few people assumed I was them. Lastly, if you meant my mention of multiple Androids named "Android" roaming around, I've activated a few posibrains on Andy. One of them took Andy's name because they wanted to be like him, and one of them took his name because he told it that names are what other people call you, and he had called it "Android" before it had picked a name. I should make that character a permanent character. Continue the Android legacy.

Were you an antagonist?

There's nothing more annoying than another job walking into your workplace and doing your own job. Whether it be a Xenobiologist becoming a Telescientist, a Detective becoming a CSI, or a Roboticist becoming a Surgeon. While arguably these three roles share a common denominator (Telescientists and Xenobiologists both technically deal with Bluespace, Detectives and CSI both technically deal with crime scene analysis, and a Roboticist and a Surgeon both technically deal with surgery) the link is so tenuous as to warrant specialization on both ends. I believe only during times of critical need should anyone fill an occupation that is unfilled, while simultaneously filling their occupation. And if such a time of need arises, there are multiple ways of doing this, from the HoP to the Captain to the AI to a Cyborg.

The only rule of Nuke Ops is never apologize.

Well, I was trying to accomplish the most Dionaea attribute (slowness) in the most irritating way possible.

Meanwhile Diona xenobiologist walking through slime hordes like it ain't no thang, regenerating 40 brute damage in seconds. Speaking of, thoughts on Two-Birds-Beaks-Together?

If you don't want people to use your name, pick a name more unique than "Sam".

A Discussion on Bluespace and Xenoarchaeology
LordFowl replied to a topic in NanoTrasen Public Network
Greetings, Director Davidson. I am Xenoarchaeologist Camille Rodgers from the NSS Aurora Research Station. For the longest time, I was a proponent of the theory my artefact findings where vastly different than Bluespace items of interest, and for good reason. Not only do many of the technological levels of many of the finds vary greatly, while their age is around the same, but their very nature and proximity indicate that they do not come from the same place and peoples. You wild find artefacts of war side by side with artefacts of peacel again with the same age. I thought this to be sufficient proof against correlation between artefacts and Bluespace. However, a farily recent addition to the Research staff aboard the NSS Aurora, a Dionae by the name of Two-Birds-Beaks-Together, has been conducting xenobiological research, particularly on bluespace slimes. While their research on bluespace slimes itself is very interesting; exploring the nature of their asexual reproduction, their behavioural patterns, they did however mention to me rather offhandedly that the variance and the setting and the same age of all the various artefacts in close proximity did not reject the theory of them being connected to Bluespace, but rather supported the theory; how else could they have all accumulated upon these asteroids, so many artefacts of different shade and colour? They must have passed through the bluespace dimension, which also explains many of their other peculiar properties. As a result, it is my current theory that the mundane artefacts are /not/ the byproduct of an extra-dimensional race, however I find it highly likely that they have passed through the Bluespace dimension. Due to their close proximity to anomalies, which I do believe are byproducts of an extra-dimensional race due to their physics-defying properties, they were likely brought around the same time as the anomalies. It is possible that this extra-dimensional race were collectors? Perhaps utilizing the unlawful properties of bluespace in combination with the already time-defying laws of realspace to collect artefacts from various races? -
That'd ruin the fun of it. Voting is in itself a game. When its a tie between Antag and Extended. . . When it's either Nuke or Wizard, with Secret a close runner up. . . When everyone votes for Extended overwhelmingly; those are moments where the tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife, when the OOC chat is completely silent, presumably because everyone is so anxious, where you're biting your nails. . . And it's Extended again. Goddammit.

Quick Reflexes: Always catch items thrown. Can dodge bullets. Is Neo.

Maybe we should just make hand labellers more common.

This topic is in the wrong place.

But if I start asking questions they might start wondering why I'm hiding disposals in bodies again.

When I first got here, I had no idea who anyone was. Most servers that have coloured staff tend to have standardized colour coding, allowing for easy identification. To be quite honest, I still have no idea who anyone is. I just learned to hide when fancy colours come around.

But what if someone is epileptic? What then, Doomberg?

Trying to pretend to be Gordon Freeman again, are we? Tsk, tsk.

I'm pretty sure they're still not released yet. However, I think the primary issue with your application is the strange human-like qualities that the backstory presents. I'm not sure what exactly to call it, but there's a peculiar sense of extreme Independence.

Maybe what instead should be looked at is instead perhaps making it harder to reset the laws of a malfunctioning AI. I've never played as a malf AI, but I can assume that many of them rush into Code Delta because they are pressured into it, afraid that if they don't take drastic measures they'll just get reset.

A cyborg and an adroid head out into space to capture a combat drone for robotics. Only one comes back. Safe to say, combat drones are not stunned by flash, and their lasers are actually quite lethal.

Likely because it was given to it by her dead wife. . . I don't think he would just toss it.

It would sort of blur the lines of the perpetuity of the rounds. In one case, neither "metagrudging" nor "metafriending" or allowed in the rules (Explicitly, I do believe, although I may have to check), stating that each round occurs individually of every other round. However, everybody ignores this, because that stifles development. Meaning that what perpetuates and what doesn't becomes an iffy thing. While I for one would gladly appreciate permanent records, memories, and everything (With I suppose antag-rounds having special rules), because it does assist in developing characters. Basically, the entire standing on inter-round relations and the perpetuity of shift events should be examined more closely, instead of leaving it to a case by case basis. However, since you're specifically seeking out the players, or rather inviting the players themselves, I suppose it doesn't truly matter.

The European Anthem is Ode to Joy. Usually, I'm pretty sure Anthems have the option to be both played with and without vocals, traditionally so that people may actually sing the anthem.

Ammo equates to German. Makes sense.

Whenever I return to the science department, I'm going to try to uphold the standards placed by this thread. Where others have failed, perhaps I shall succeed.
