Hello. I think the time has come for me to post about this since I've been thinking about this quite a lot. Why aren't we, the players, allowed to see our own notes? I don't understand the reasoning behind this. You only allow players to the warnings, once the thing is already becoming serious. I think that, allowing the players to read their own notes would be beneficial, and would, eventually end in a better community with less punishments. Also allow us to see our past bans, jobbans and all those things that we can't see right now without having to contact an admin

That ban is being totally removed as stated here. I wanted to remark this before the other reasons. 2- Another thing I would like to say is that I didn't ignore the messages. I didn't see them at all. How, they are huge red messages. I was totally mad, mad at a player who was recently banned (not for what he did to me though) and had his unban appeal rejected. I was mad because I was totally ejected from the round without any reason, without any proper roleplay. So I was just focused on, well, getting revenge. I wanted to solve an issue, where I thought rules were broken, and I did so breaking other rules. That's just stupid and I apologize for my stupidity. 3- I took these days while the staff complaint regarding my 3 days ban was being solved to think and calm down. I think I needed this break, and in the end I have been forced to accept the fact that I needed it. I've been talking with Prate about my issues, cause I tend to fuck up when the things get stressful. I have to learn to calm myself and think a couple of times what I'm about to do before actually doing it. I was told that people (some, many, few. Not sure about that) in dead chat said that they liked me or the way I played my characters. I was starting to get myself more involved in the community and I felt so sad when I got this permaban, cause it was a big stop sign. I deserved it, I'm not saying the opposite, but I would like to think that I deserve another opportunity. Thank you. One last thing: I tried to avoid having a permaban in my notes, but I totally deserved it. When Prate told me how many notes I had I was a bit shocked, to be honest. I would like to use this unban appeal to request access to the notes, but not just for me, but for every player. I think we should be able to see our own notes, having the chance to read what we did wrong whenever we want would be useful. I will be opening a suggestion thread regarding this soon.

I would like to say that when I opened this staff complaint it was cause I didn't think that I should have been punished AT ALL. I would like to know Garn's opinion, if he thinks I should be given a warning, just a note, or nothing at all. Thanks for replying! Better late than never right?

I was playing the AI that round. Let me say that I think you are salty, and that's all. Two of the three you mentioned are great players (idk the other one), and I, as the AI, saw nothing wrong that round, they acted in a proper way. Yonni gave them green light, and they acted, round would have been dead if they didn't have that initiative. You want them to be banned from ERT for having initiative? We need more people like them, with good ideas, and a good way to execute those ideas.

Happy to see you took your time to post another app. This app is not the longest or the most developed I've seen, but I know that the reason is that you developed way more the other apps... I have to say that it would have been a great idea to link your other command app since it was more developed (the first one), or to copy-paste the biography, that would have shown that you have complete interest. But well, I'm giving you my +1 cause you have no notes, you contribute a lot to the community and you are a good roleplayer

Make me is the reason. Reason and motivation is not the same imo. Reason is the last action, the one that makes you do whatever you do. Motivation is the background and the context, yeah, I didn't put the book back, but, what was the motivation around? How was that helpful to him to achieve is goal or gimmick, Garnascus? It's for him to decide both the goal and the gimmick, but it's your job now to judge this, and you are evading it, not even trying to investigate it, the player didn't even write a thing in this post. I'm going to write a last comment on my opinion about the incident, since I think this post is coming to an end. I've wanted to keep this away from the thread to see how the incident developed, but, after seeing it, I have to ask about this: -In medbay, I was told that the player who did this was Alberyk. -I spoke to Alberyk on discord and asked him if he was the one playing the character (won't do it again, Prate gave me a verbal warning to not do it ever again) and 2 minutes after this, Prate gave me the warning. Why would Alberyk care if he wasn't the player? -The player, Saunan, who I have never EVER seen (I've been playing here for a good year already), didn't even comment in this post which is (ultimately) a complaint against him. And he doesn't even have a forum account with his name. -(No offense in this one) You haven't even tried to investigate what happened, or EVEN ASKED the player to write his reasons here, which is SO standard procedure since, as I said, this is, a player complaint against him. Put everything together and try to think how I feel about this right now. Would you want to clarify this? Think how strange it sounds to not even have the player I am complaining against, write a post here. Maybe it's just that I'm overthinking, and since I have faith in this staff, I wondered if I could have an answer regarding this. If the answer is a no, I don't want to clarify this, and since you have already judged this, as the Head Admin you are there's nothing else I can say.

No one enjoys being ejected from the round, the thing is that sometimes, ejecting someone from the round is legitimate if there's a reason and a goal behind it You are saying he had a reason, that 'make me', it's a poor, VERY POOR, reason, but, maybe it's acceptable if there's a goal the antag wishes to achieve through the action (beating the sh** out of me) Antags are not allowed to kill people without a reason, and the reason has to be valid, and if it's valid or not depends on the gimmick too, right? -Reason to beat me: It's there, poor, but it's there -Motivation to beat me: I don't find it. Trying to kill someone gets you in a lot of trouble, a traitor has to have a goal, a gimmick, an aspiration. What was the goal for this traitor? Was doing what he did good for him in order to achieve his goal? It was clear he would end up arrested (he didn't have any plan after beating me, no escape plan or anything), if I'm not wrong, he did it in front of an officer (Nova), so he would end up in Brig, and this would probably make achieving his goal very difficult, or at least, delay it (unless his goal could be achieved by getting arrested, which is not the case) -Actions according to his gimmick: Error 404. Not found. Again, he was acting as a very old man, but then he moved like Flash up and down, very robust, indeed. Was he acting like an old man calling guys ma'am to annoy them, so they would react badly, so he could kick their ass? Last question Garn. Are you saying that killing someone without any story around or gimmick around this is something acceptable for an antag? I would like to know if the player had any goal, aspiration or gimmick. I think this would help quite a lot to understand if he was planning something, or if he just took his chance to beat someone to death using his antag status as excuse (this is how it feels, and I'm not the only one who posted about his poor RP)

Librarian attacks OP with a cane, breaking his skull, knocking him down, dragging him away to keep hitting way, causing enough damage that OP has to spend all the time that was left of that round nearly unconscious, blind, never being healed. All because he didn't place a book back in its shelf and the librarian was a bored traitor that wasn't doing anything to drive a story or help to drive the round, or developing a gimmick, so he used the first reason he had to beat the shit out of someone, going against his own gimmick of old man with vision problems, moving like a ninja and destroying another player without any roleplay right before the beating, during this, or after this, so ejecting a player from the round was totally useless.

I think that's one of the main issues regarding this complaint. That feeling of: 'I got my shit beaten and I was thrown out of the round for nothing'

I didn't get my 'shit kicked by a pissed off librarian'. I was ejected from the round by an antag who decided that all his gimmick was to be a 'pissed off librarian' that nearly killed someone for not putting a book back on a shelf. The only reason for not dying was the fast response from medbay. I repeat, you are stablishing a very dangerous standard if you allow antags to start ruining people's round for trivialities such as 'not placing a book back on his shelf'. If you think that attitude deserves to have your skull broken, and be totally removed from a round, and the admin who reviews this incident supports you, you will have complaints regarding illegitimate escalation quoting this incident, and the ones who write their complaints will be totally correct, because you are literally going against the rules. -Don't be a dick (Don't ruin the game for everyone else, and use common sense. This includes anything from attacking other people, starting arguments over nothing, which is EXACTLY what happened) -Only escalate conflict in a realistic manner (but you would not realistically go berserk or attempt to kill someone if they stole your prized pen), and I think that not placing a book back where it belongs shares a lot with 'stealing your prized pen' Also, 'give more freedom for the antags so they are not scared' is not a reason to allow them to kick the other players out of the round. This case is even worse, because the antag wasn't even trying to drive the round or performing a reasonable antag gimmick, he just abused his antag status to beat the shit out of someone, he was literally waiting for it. I would say 'bored player' instead of 'pissed off librarian'

This traitor librarian, Saunan, who was roleplaying a bald, old-man, with some vision problems, decided to break my skull cause I didn't place a book back in its shelf. He told me to do it yelling at me and I said 'make me'. He got up (remember how he was acting before), and broke my skull with his cane, moving like a fucking ninja to avoid any defense from my side. I could hit him twice with my welding tool, but he knocked me down, leaving me blind and with severe damage. Once I was knocked down, he kept hitting me until I was nearly killed, pulling me away to keep hitting me. Being a traitor is not a reason to fuck someone's round without a proper reason or proper escalation. I didn't have a chance to say a word, and he didn't say a word either, he just got up and hit me with his cane until he broke my skull, and continued to hit me when I was knocked down, ending my round (I wasn't cured in the following 20 minutes or 30 minutes, and then the shuttle came, so, literally, he ended my round) In my opinion, there was no legitimate reason for that insane escalation, and saying that he was a traitor so he can kick people out of the round for nothing stablishes a dangerous standard Approximate Date/Time: 05/06/2019 19:00 CEST time Evidence/logs/etc: I don't have them Additional remarks: None

The Ninja, I repeat, started giving instructions without being asked to, and my character took advantage of it to take down the one who was killing his security mates. This is so stupid in my opinion. If I say: yeah I won't do it again I was wrong I will get the ban lifted, which is what Crystal did, and get it changed to a warning.

Azka @IAmCrystalClear was wearing the suit too and she got jobbaned from Sec, however, she was UNBANNED 45 minutes after the ban happened when I was told she was punished just as I was. So, I was banned for using a ninja suit to do my work in a more effective way, after the antag explained to me how it worked willingly (he started explaining it without being asked to), and when I heard that my security mates were dying, I decided to use the knowledge the antag just gave me to take him down, as the Warden I was. Why this is not powergame nor validhunt?: - If someone knows how to use the ninja suit, it's the owner, who explained to Nick how it works. -If someone is able to learn quite fast how a new rigsuit works is someone with a lot of experience with EVA suits, Nick. -If someone is able to learn quite fast about experimental and research things is a Volvalaad, per LORE, this makes sense. -If someone would use all this knowledge to put on a suit and fight the guy killing people, that's someone from Security, in this case the Warden. I used the ninja suit bad on purpose multiple times, jumping to where I didn't want to and getting shot multiple times for it. I tried to roleplay just like someone who was just quickly instructed, without any experience. I'm so mad right now knowing that Azka was unbanned 45 minutes after her ban and I wasn't when I had even more reasons and more roleplay behind using it.

I think this is a bad logic, a very toxic one for the punishment systems of the server. -If you do something bad ICly, and someone wishes to report it, you get an IR. -If you do something bad that breaks a rule, and someone wishes to report it, you get a complaint (or ahelp + direct punishment) But, what is not right is: -You do something bad ICly, and since it's non-canon and I can't punish it with an IRs so.... Nick, assuming the Vox 'was NOT dead, and since it escaped cuffs already once, started dislocating the Vox's limbs both for the rage and to avoid it escaping again, and when the HoS told Nick that the Vox was dead, Nick stopped dislocating (so he only dislocated one arm)' The Vox was gunned down two times. One in the Vacant Office (after nearly killing Locke), then it was cuffed, but since Vox can break cuffs (I think, or if this is not true, I don't know how he escaped cuffs), he escaped and a second firefight started, this is where Nick was badly hurt, in this firefight the Vox was gunned down again, and here is where I dislocated his arm to stop him from killing more people (and due to the rage and pain, of course) thinking it wasn't dead. Then the HoS told Nick that the Vox was dead, so Nick stopped dislocating. And for point 7 ''Sometime on the shuttle Nick throwed the corpse against a window a couple of times, and hit it a couple of times too'' And I would add a point 8 to fully understand the end of the round ''Then, when arriving at ODIN, Nick saw Locke very, VERY hurt (stuttering and all), so Nick threw the Vox corpse again, this time not hitting anything, just thew it away in the hallway''

No. He bad -1, he protects, he attacks but most importantly he bansss +1 BUT he is too strict, I don't like that. I'm scared to have him back.

@Garnascus @HouseOfSynth I know this is not going to be resolved before the ban ends, but I would like to hold this complaint even after the ban ends, cause I don't want to have this ban on my record cause it would be used in the future to ban me for anything with the excuse of: Even when I don't deserve it. Problem with this way of applicating this is that it's a loop that leads you to getting permabanned as soon as the staff members start using it as a reason to ban or punish without really deserving it. I talked with many people about this post and they don't think this is a reason to get punished at all.

I've seen some accepted without trial? Maybe I'm wrong or confused? However I don't think it's strange, why do you say so?
