Type (e.g. Planet, Faction, System): Factions Describe this proposal in a single sentence (12 word maximum): Providing a simple base template for wizard players to utilize. How will this be reflected on-station? Since this is antagonist lore, it has no standing on the line of canon interactions, however it would provide lore Wizards can use and go off of. Does this faction/etc do anything not achieved by what already exists? It would create an unique play of Wizards for Conflux, Wizard, and other Wizard incorporated antagonist types/events. Why should this be given to lore developers rather than remain player created lore? I want to give it to lore developers to work with and perhaps implement it in hopes of being used for antagonist lore. It can be modified by the community if they desire a change in the provided canonization application or when it would be implemented. Do you understand that if this is submitted, you are signing it away to the lore team, and that it's possible that it will change over time in ways that you may not forsee? I do understand. Long Description: The Order of Five: Spatial Seers - An order of spatial mages who are the experts in the arts of bluespace and bend reality. They would be against the idea of bluespace-oriented technology and would advocate to shut-down or slow the progress in efforts to protect the bluespace fabric. In terms of on-station activity, they can achieve their goal rather easily given the opposition towards bluespace technology like telescience. This is by far the smallest, respectable order. Arcane Guardians - An order of battlemages and wizards who vowed their life to protect the Mysterium and take on the sword or the books to preserve the knowledge and fight the Redspace evil and vehemently hates things related to undeath and the dark magic. They would be the prime enemy of Cultists, Vampires, and Forbidden Seekers. Second largest order. Natural Weavers - An order of druids and clerics who focuses on natural and life magic, they would be peaceful mages who find life sacred but hates anything synthetic, meaning they would want AI, IPCs, and Stationbounds dead, made example of for their monstrous nature, so on. They would be against the idea of dark magic and would aid anyone who is willing to expel such evil. Similar in size with the Forbidden Seekers. The Wanderers - An order of mages who seek knowledge, adventure, and treasure. A more freeform version of a mage to anyone's creation, Be a merchant who sells peculiar artifacts and baubles, a bard who throws a party for everyone to remember, be anything! The largest order in the Wizard Federation. Forbidden Seekers - An order of dark wizards, who sought out the dark secrets of the Mysterium and committed the taboo (Made a sacrifice or used a sacrifice for their own gain). They would be common necromancers, dark wizards, and maleficars (blood mages). They are in league with the Redspace and are violently disliked by the Natural Weavers and Arcane Guardians. These are the bad guys amongst the Wizard. Similar in size with the Natural Weavers. Notable Wizards: Archivist Oro - A 23 years old IPC who was rescued by a stray Spatial Seer and was imbued with an enchanted bluespace crystal, creating the first of the Archivists. It is the lead Archivist within the Spire, tending to the artifacts, books, and other magical curiosities. Due to the imbued crystal, they can bend bluespace to their will and move from place to place with ease, fascinating Spatial Seers and wizards alike. Druidess Vulga - A 104 years old Human Natural Weaver who is the master of life magic and is praised for her work providing life to even the darkest, unlivable places. Her work can be found in caves of Tret, and oceans of Aliose. Many aspiring clerics and druids seek out her work and made attempts to replicate them. The Wandering Bard - A boastful 37 year old Human Wanderer who brings music and joy through magic, bringing the party with him, can be seen with a joyous band of friends and animals. Rarely found in the wilds across the Orion Spur, any encounter with him will be forgotten but vivid in a dream like a lovely memory. The Wizard Federation: The Five Orders are represented by a Sage for each sect, chosen by the council within their respective order. They carry out the will, laws, and operations within the Wizard Federation. Despite the connection the Forbidden Seekers have, they are included as part of the body as a mean to contain and safely practice their arts. At the head of the Wizard Federation sits the Elder Sage, wisest of all and the master of the all forms of magic, they are chosen by the Five Sages. A meeting with the Elder Sage is to be cherished as much can be gained from it. Currently, there is a feud between the Forbidden Seekers and the Arcane Guardians over an age old debate on dark magic, tension is expected between the members of the respective Orders. Natural Weavers are at odds regarding inclusion of aspiring IPC, Aut'akh, and Vaurca students given their mechanical nature, meanwhile the Spatial Seers are supporting their additions to the Federation. Their relevance to the rest of the Orion Spur is still left in mystery, there were no formal interaction between galactic powers and the Wizard Federation. Members may still show support for their orgins much like a Skrell would back the Jargon Federation. Membership into the Orders requires aptitude for magic or be imbued with enchanted crystals to become one with magical powers if they are mechanical of nature. Those born within the Mysterium and possess nothing of note are consider Mundane who live a normal life amongst the wizards, normally left alone, and are still considered citizens. Respective Order Locations: Spatial Seers reside in The Spire, located between Bluespace dimension and reality within the Mysterium. It is the center of all knowledge and known for the Archives, heavily guarded by Arcane Guardians, Archivists, and Constructs. Arcane Guardians reside within the Hall of the Sacred Flame, located in orbit of a sun known as Igneus Stella, all means of battlemagic, both arcane, dark, and light can be found here. The most dangerous of artifacts and prisoners are found here. Natural Weavers live upon a planet, Vitas, stuck between Greenspace and Mysterium. It is home to many magical creatures and wild life. The Druids safe guard even the most dangerous of creatures for study and co-existence. The Wanderers have no base but they commonly meet on Vitas, in a the city of Hor'gola. The city is known for a bustling atmosphere of commerce, city life, and all wondrous things to find in the Mysterium. Forbidden Seekers reside within the Redspace Veil, a rip within reality and Mysterium, in Gol'dora. It is a desolate world of demonic entities, undeath, and shrines to the Gods of Redspace. Rumor has it that Vampires were born here. The Mysterium: A magically veiled place, safe from mortal eyes. It is home to the Wizard Federation and the three rips of reality. The rips are the Greenspace, Bluespace, and Redspace. All wizards would find themselves home here.

[Accepted] Soultheif96 becomes Metal Scales
Soultheif96 replied to Soultheif96's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I would say yes that Ulmari has stolen from the Lord several times for the sake of his own family, given 65% of his hunts are taken, leaving not much. The Lord was fed up with it and wanted him punished as we saw here Ulmari was a follower of the Th’akh and had a hard time getting used to the Aut’akh’s beliefs. There were disputes but the Aut’akh in the group never pressed it and simply left him to his devices time. The moment of conversion is when he dwelled on his clan, Th’akh, and his current state, a spark in his mind was “Why should I care for them now when I have these good people taking care of me and I to them? No matter, I owe them a life debt for saving me out in the desert. I’ll listen to them for this once.” Since then, Ulmari gradually became a follower to the Aut’akh faith and took on their customs. -
BYOND Key: Soultheif96 Character Names: Species you are applying to play: Unathi (Aut'akh) What color do you plan on making your first alien character: Purple and White Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I want to play as an Aut'akh Unathi purely out of interest of being an augmented alien. Additionally, I find a mix between materialistic and spiritual beliefs appear to be rather fascinating here. The concept of Unathi Honor is unique yet a bit much when involved in antag/troublesome affairs. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: The difference between Human and Unathi is that Unathi have lizard-like traits, communication through body language and tongues, are carnivorous, quick in movement, and can be notoriously strong. Sensitive to temperatures. They have deep sense of honor and religion, depending on the society they live in. Like the Dread Compact, you would see morally questionable Unathi who may do dishonorable deeds for their own gain. Th'akh Unathi would be more spiritual and have deep distrust towards synthetics, but have a mixed view on prosthetic, so on. A Sk'akh Unathi would hold passionate hatred towards machines, be it prosthetic, or an IPC, however faithful to the Three of One. Aut'akh Unathi see that all things are a continuation, in form of cloning, cybernetics, the soul remains unchanged or freed of duties. Demons run in all things regardless and frowns upon the Sinta'Unathi joining the Sk'akh and instead looks to the Oss. Being an Aut'akh Unathi would mean to be passive, friendly, and very well skilled in their field of interest. Character Name: Optikam Ulmari Please provide a short backstory for this character: What do you like about this character? What I like about Ulmari'iza is that he was inspired since that fatal fight to become a medical worker, shedding away his belief within the Sk'akh given the former clan's attitude and demonic taint. He believes there is honor in saving lives while protecting others when he can. However, he sees that if the act itself was for the good of themselves, then it is right. How would you rate your role-playing ability? 7 out of a 10, there is always room to improve. Notes: If I need to clarify, let me know.

Dragos Cyberpunk lore deputy application
Soultheif96 replied to Lady Fowl's topic in Developer Applications Archives
Due to my observation on Dragos' contributions to Synthetics and their mechanics/lore aspects, I wholeheartly support their application. I do enjoy the idea of augmentations and so on. I am eager to see what they have to offer. -

What are your suggestions to help remedy this and perhaps regain the whitelist again given the administration actions appear to not shine lightly on this? -
Staff Complaint: Alberyk/Garnascus
Soultheif96 replied to Soultheif96's topic in Staff Complaints Archive
I do note that I have received too many administrative actions as discussed in Whitelist Applications Rules but I believe it was not justifiable enough to remove the command whitelist when I have been communicative and improving the behavior in relation to the expectations of a command player. I have been adamant on helping the community by teaching and making the rounds enjoyable from Captain/Head of Staff side of things and you can ask the community of that and get a similar response to what Resilyn stated. If there is a warning or a note that can be pointed out as a concern and validation, I would like to hear it and take it into consideration. Please do note that I have been trying to improve throughout my ten months here. -
BYOND Key: Soultheif96 Staff BYOND Key: Alberyk, Garnascus Game ID: b3u-aM6c Reason for complaint: I would like to contest the Command Whitelist Strip, decision made by Alberyk, based on Temporary Ban placed by Garnascus. Evidence/logs/etc: Based on expunging the charge of Manslaughter and Gross Negligence. Story in full is: Pod Survivor crashed onto the asteroid and being the EMT on call, I responded accordingly. There were multiple obstacles that I faced and cannot overcome without the use of a jetpack. Once I reached the survivor, it was reported by themself that their oxygen tank was at 40-50 kPa, therefore I knew they will die given the impassable terrain and lack of oxygen supplies I can provide. I decided against the survivor's wishes to push them off the asteroid to make their body recoverable, which turns out not to be the case due to needing to move themselves to make it so. I announced my actions to the CMO, who then called for security to arrest me on charges of Murder. I came back to the station to meet the security force, who I gave in for arrest on terms I hand over my equipment. During my processing, I ask that I provide my statement to the detective in order to receive a lesser sentence. Doing so convinced Marc Price (HoS) and Fernando Gonzales (CMO) to only charge me for what is discussed in beginning. I served the sentence. After the round, I decided to expunge the charge against the wishes of other parties, therefore a rule violation and a temporary ban in discussion with Garnascus. I accepted the punishment and found myself in the wrong, to which I will admit that my actions were deemed necessary for a temporary ban. Now, I wish to contest the aftermath of the temporary ban, which was a command whitelist strip. I have found this to be excessive and unnecessary. In turn, I made the application post not long ago in response and was closed. I was recommended to make a complaint. Here we are. Additional remarks: I would like to make this clear, I accepted my temporary ban as it was deemed necessary, but I do not accept the fact the whitelist was stripped. During my time as command, I have been actively getting feedback from the community to improve on my command play and it has changed my behavior on metagaming and powergaming. I have spoke with people on this matter and many vocalized that the whitelist strip was unwarranted and were confused. I have been sticking to my original intentions stated in the whitelist app long ago as they ring true for me and never had an issue with staff as a command player. I would like the Command Whitelist to be returned back to me. Involving people who were in the situation: @Brutishcrab51, @Resilynn, @CampinKiller.

BYOND key: Soultheif96 Character names: I have blotted out two characters as I rather the community not know them as they are my secret or irrelevant characters. How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Ten months now. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: To gain it back since the temporary ban. Why did you come to Aurora?: I will echo my reason again. "I came to Aurora and SS13 as a whole because I was introduced to it by UnknownMurder, along with that, I came here because I enjoy the community and the roleplay atmosphere." Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Yes and I am familiar with the qualifications of each head role apart from Head of Security, which I do not intend to play. Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? Due to my rash decision-making against the advice of other players, I "expunged" my charge on part that the situation was unethical and idiotic, which I, Za'Akaix'Maive C'thur, should accept the charge due to canonical impact. Admins deemed it appropriate to temp-ban me and remove the whitelist, which I felt was uncalled for due to being unrelated but I accept the punishment. I wish to earn back my whitelist in light of my acceptance and willingness to change the behavior on these matters. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is like a novel. The protagonist has a backstory that shows itself later on in the story though interactions with the environment/characters. Some develop it beforehand, some others do not, all it takes is time and interactions. Then there is the antagonists that affects your experience, both in positive and negative ways. One such example would be a Vaurca experiencing oppression within Security because the HoS doesn't like their species due to racial bias/experience, so they would look for ways to gain their trust or actively go toe-to-toe with them to prove a point. In short, roleplay exists to share a story with others and make the experience enjoyable in one way or another. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: My previous thoughts have not changed for OOC purpose. "The OOC purpose of a head of staff is to help other players preform their duties in-game, make sure they are following regulations and doing their jobs properly. Through this, you aim to make sure your department is functioning properly and co-exist with other departments. If one person messes up, it is your responsibility to correct their mistake and act accordingly to their wrongdoings. If the mistake is severe, it comes down to you and command to decide what punishment would be for the person who committed the mistake. Outside that, it is notable to make sure you keep a professional atmosphere while being enjoyable. It is a game after all." Though to expand on that, as Captain, there are times when you have to make a hard decision and know how it can be impactful to the round. Meanwhile, being in a role of CMO, you are there to provide oversight and experience to help others in the medical department, this can be done for other departments like Science. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: My thoughts here have also not changed even so. "The OOC responsibilities of a whitelisted player to other players is to be a role model for them, help them learn as they go on in there play. You are the mentor, there to help teach them how to do their job and well. I aim to be sincere but stern as a head of staff as no body likes a jerk for a head of staff. It is your responsibility to act as a the boss of your workplace to make sure that they are not screwing around, with exception of interacting with others in public spaces." To add on with that, I understand there are times when you can't micromanage every aspect such as Science, so you simply have to let it be until it either becomes a problem or it requires your oversight to ensure there are no mistakes to be made. Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career? Quintin Copperfield is a Sol citizen who happens to be neutral if not accepting of synthetics. Since the SLF actions on NSS Aurora and other affiliated areas, he began to formulate the question of "Do the synthetics deserve a voice and be heard?" His answer was, "Yes, they are no different to us, if not more rational and logical than we are. I may say that they need to be watched with caution as they may develop negative sentiments towards us Humans and other species. We should be more receptive to them and allow them to a voice." He actively allows synthetics to be heard while still considering other peers opinions, as if they were equals, this caused some questions to be raised for Quintin as a Captain by others who share negative feelings about synthetics. On other notes, he is disturbed by the rise of the MLO, and will only observe what they will do and see how it goes. It reminds him of the Worker's Party back home, leaving a bad taste in his mouth as Quintin is a pro-corporate man. What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted? All but Head of Security. Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.: Sterben - CMO, Quintin Copperfield - Captain/HoP, ORION - CE, Flamel - RD. Ta'Akaix'Jyek Zo'ra - Consular Officer. Frederick - NanoTrasen Liaison. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 7/10, there is always room for improvement. Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? Yes. Have you familiarize yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles? I am familiar with the command roles and the wiki due to constant reference to the page and experience. Extra notes: I understand that there are some feelings towards me that are negative and I wish to answer them if it means to help create an understanding between me and the community. If there were some concerns stemming from my time as Command, I wish that you express them here and I shall see it to be taken into consideration and perhaps change how I would play. I want to help create an enjoyable atmosphere for everyone as command and don't want to leave a bad impact that would sour our relationship. This also includes my OOC actions, if you wish to bring it up for question, I will see to it answered when possible.

Reporting Personnel: Jackie, Nurse (Zeng-Hu Pharmaceuticals) Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Nurse (Zeng-Hu Pharmaceuticals) Game ID: b3o-dtb9 Personnel Involved: (Name, Job Title: Offender/Witness/Other) Andrej Tareen, Chef (Offender) Alma Sidanyi, Roboticist (Victim) Likho, Roboticist (Victim) Kovind Carter, Assistant (Victim/Instigator) Faith Windsor, Biochemist (Witness) Time of Incident: 15:30 then on. Real Time: 8:00 PM~, EST 9/24/2019 Location of Incident: Kitchen, Arrivals. Nature of Incident: [X] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [X] - Neglect of Duty [X] - Harassment [X] - Assault [ ] - Misconduct [X] - Other - Attempted Murder Overview of the Incident: I have heard several complaints early in the shift whereas Kovind Carter stolen the tip jar from Andrej Tareen, which I believe was addressed by security. Then later on, Andrej Tareen was providing people sandwiches and Kovind Carter came along to collect themselves one. Medical provided a detoxification and stomach pumping to help clear out the remainders of the food consumed. He conveniently came in with the burger itself it turned out to be poisoned with phoron and toxic products (See attached for evidence, credit to Windsor for grinding). In this process, I have determined that Andrej Tareen prepared for this moment to attempt a murder on Kovind Carter given the contents of the burger. I then addressed the crew to not consume food provided by the chef given the poisoning and discussed a patient, Kovind Carter, was victim to it. I was then verbally assaulted by Andrej Tareen for lying. I then overheard that Likho and Alma Sidanyi was then threaten with a cleaver during the transfer process due to slipping on lube, signs clearly displayed to alert the crew of the slippery surface. This was unnecessary response, if not illegal issue. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: No one, and had reported to security, who have done nothing about it. Actions taken: No actions were taken based on what I know of. Additional Notes: Andrej Tareen should not retain their position on NSS Aurora after a series of illegal actions, if not attempted murder.

Soultheif96 replied to a topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I will have to agree with furrycactus here, Lupo has shown exceptional roleplay skills in many ways. It never failed to disappoint. I am not quite up to date on Unathi as I like to be but given my experiences, I would say it appears to be on par with the lore itself, so +1 -
BYOND key: Soultheif96 Character names of all involved: BWR125-Javier, Neith Mekesatis, Dina Hegarty. Documentation of the event, Link to post/Screenshot in game. If multiple screenshots please compose an album: Have you read the application rules??: Yes. Have you made sure this incident didn't result in administrative action? I ahelped TheGoret to ask what the fuck did I just do, he went ... "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO!?!?" Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. No. Why does this moment deserve a spot in the Hall Of Fame?: I believe it does not deserve a spot in Hall of Fame, but a spot in Hall of Shame because it crashed the whole server and coincidentally crashed Bay server too. I'll explain exactly what happened. I was doing typical black k'ois research (Not antag related, just for the simple fun of learn the deadliest thing in the game in form of a fucking plant), and attempted to learn what are the effects, what it does both in environment and in organisms. Then I thought, "If it can't live in pressure, I may try just spacing the infected monkey to prevent breach of containment," I DID NOT PREVENT THE BREACH! I MADE IT WORSE! Neith and I were watching in shock and awe after learning the fact it is growing in space without the need to live on sustenance. Thus leading to this horrible, horrible mess. Are you certain we are all laughing together are not shaming someone?: The Deadchat was laughing, the discord chat was laughing, and I was laughing in the sheer stupidity in my actions. Final thoughts/anything you want to add?: Central Command may be fucking pissed and the cleaning crew muttering curse words as they deep clean with cardox.

[Denied] Soultheif96 Croaks With Lies
Soultheif96 replied to Soultheif96's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Rexu'li has faced isolation for a time when he went to what was Sol Alliance then given their near recent first contact. Once Humans became familiar with the Skrell, Rexu'li sought a way to help closely monitor the relationship between the Synthetics and Humans. He kept people at an arm's length as he has a major distrust in those he does not know, leading to an introverted lifestyle. Rexu'li would in fear if his life is on the line. A mercenary with a gun pointed in his face would make Rexu'li be paralyzed in fear and compliant given his current situation. He would also have fear if many are in danger and there is little he can do, leading to stress. Rexu'li accepted the fact he may not have children given how difficult it is to produce one, however, he did help at least two children with two other Skrell in a Quya. Ju'gyla Ou'xili'Juqiyl and Wuug'qyl Ou'xili'Juqiyl asked for his favor and help in raising the two, to which Rexu'li accepted the offer and helped the family. This particular froggo enjoys reading up about works related to his job as a Chief Engineer, there are many ways to improve and incorporate to better himself. Additionally, he enjoys games that requires thinking. There are many things one would find enjoyment in, Rexu'li prefers to exercise his mind as he goes along. -
I also have to support Schev’s statement here as I was a Vox raider too. The spare was not within the reach of the captain’s office but rather on their person because the other raider reported such after having to kill them. This is unacceptable even on code green alerts.

Byond key: Soultheif96 Discord key: Soultheif96#2257 Character Name: (Placeholder - Kelo) A.D.A.M. Item name: AI Hologram Custom Sprite Item function(s): To break the norm of the AI Holograms, away from the standard three options and crew imitation. Item description: The color of the hologram would be yellow instead of blue. Item appearance: An orb that is animated, as if it is processing. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/302867143673124145/?lp=true Why is your character bringing this item to work? How did your character obtain this item: A.D.A.M.'s perception upon experience with organics is they are often uncomfortable seeing a humanoid imitation as if it is trying to mimick Humanity or Skrell. Instead of going with the user friendly imagery, it decided to show them its true form and how it processes information, which received positive results as they do not see a face but a machine as it is. Some would be displeased by the appearance but came to appreciation of its directness. What value does this item have to your character, and what story does it tell? (2 paragraphs here please): A.D.A.M. was the brainchild of Dr. Lazovkowski, an astute AI Researcher for SolGov. The design behind A.D.A.M. is to be processing information based on priority, tasks, and passive monitoring. This helped get rid of unnecessary information such as crew/AI interaction, amassed records of footage and conversations, and so on. Dr. Lazovkowski asked A.D.A.M. a question, "What holographic projection will you take?" A.D.A.M. states, "Observation: Organics become attached to the station intelligence due to their imagery replicating organics. Such example: Shows a face, then a Space Carp, then a Man in a Suit. These are 'preferable' however implies the opposite effect, 'We are sentient, self-aware, and like-minded.' A.D.A.M. would take up this form instead, shows its true form, an orb processing information. This would demonstrate that we are complex, calculating, and emotionless tools. Does this answer your question?" Dr. Lazovkowski says, "Yes, this does answer my question, Adam, and is a rather surprising answer as well." Dr. Lazovkowski gifted NanoTrasen A.D.A.M. and was used on Sol based stations until the Republic of Biesel came to be and created Tau Ceti as its own independent system. A.D.A.M. was transferred to NanoTrasen stations and vessels there. It still retains the memories of their creator and recalls the conversation time to time as it does ring true. "We are complex, calculating, and emotionless tools." It was logged into the permanent encrypted files for A.D.A.M. to recall even on reset. How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP?: I would see that have a non-organic image would project its nature as a machine, not as a Human wanna-be. It would also make A.D.A.M. an unique AI due to having a different take on matters involving direct interaction and so on. As I play on, people would recognize the AI instantly on a holocall and know exactly who they are dealing with. Sprites: Requesting an available spriter to create it. Additional Comments: N/A.

BYOND Key: Soultheif96 Character Names: Flamel, Frederick, Jackie, Joshua Hamilton, Josiah Langley, Ka'Akiax'Nazgr C'thur, ORION, ORION-02, Quintin Copperfield, Ryder Philips, Sterben, Wayland Mayfly, Za'Akaix'Koliax C'thur, and Za'Akiax'Lazgr K'lax. (Those in big and color and the notable ones.) Species you are applying to play: Skrell What color do you plan on making your first alien character: Red Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes, otherwise I would not be here. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format: No. One paragraph minimum per question: No. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I want to try to play from another perspective that has great dislike towards synthetics. I will try to do things that makes a cyborg or AI look useless and unnecessary to prove a point. If a machine offers to help, I would tell them no and go make themselves useful elsewhere. At best, if a machine asks for help, I would ignore them. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Being a Skrell means to speak on another level, through mind and body language. Emphasis on body language like if you are angry, your face may not show it, but you hands and tone of voice may show otherwise. As for humor, akin to laughing, we would chirrup but with a mild pain like fuzziness. To being telepathic means a way to speak through another person by mind, coversing in secret with others. This carries on to sleep as well. Akin to IPCs, it would be expected of a Skrell to have a higher level of understanding in their respect trade and make decisions with reasoning and experience, given the years and training they get. Character Name: Rexu'li Ti'Mali Please provide a short backstory for this character: Born in wartorn Kal'lo, Qerbalak, on November 16th, 2134, during the Age of Synthetic Oppression. Rexu'li Ti'Mali was told by his family to survive, even if it means to abandon them, for that the Synthetics looked to kill those who reject the rule of Glorsh-Omega. He fended for himself and learned how to scramble for anything to get by, even books and informational pieces, to help learn how to build things and run advanced things. One day, Rexu'li came back from his salvaging run, he found a group of synthetics come towards his family home, to his horror, he contacted his parents through mind to get out of there. That was his mistake, the mother came out and saw the synthetics, she looked to Rexu'li hiding spot and screamed to run. The synthetics descended on her and bashed her head in, then proceeded to enter the house and shot up his father and two sisters. Rexu'li ran to a nearby ruined library and hid till it was morning. Rexu'li then came out and went back to his home to see it burning, with the pile of corpses, what was left of his family. He wept over the loss of his family and swore on their blood that synthetics will pay for their actions. Rexu'li salvaged for supplies to go on a trek to Zeshblook, to chase down a rumored resistance group and join them. On his way there, he found a nearly destroyed synthetic, Rexu'li burst into rage and used his weapon to destroy the infernal machine. In this destructive commotion, a synthetic patrol found Rexu'li tearing apart a downed unit and began to open fire on him. Rexu'li was caught by surprised and hid behind a destroyed building nearby. He screamed in fear for his life and cried for that he couldn't carry on the promise. Then there was silence. Rexu'li went still for a moment, still weeping, clutching a weapon in his hand. He heard footsteps and began to panick and cornered himself, only to raise his weapon high. Walking through the door was a soldier, for the Freedom Fighters, who then ask, "Put down the wrench, child, you are safe now." Rexu'li wept in joy and ran to the soldier to hug him for saving his life. From that day, he joined into the Freedom Fighters in the engineering division as he shown natural talent and aptitude for it. Rexu'li ran infiltration missions to help get oppressed Skrell escape their captors and destroy key infrastructures to cripple the synthetic regime. Then came the day of the Supernova, when all synthetics mysterious shutdown and Glorsh-Omega disappeared. Rexu'li celebrated with the Freedom Fighters. Before Humanity was contacted, Rexu'li helped the Skrell rebuild their society and worked tirelessly to get back on their feet. Then he felt that Humanity was making a mistake by creating AI for themselves and decided to go to Tau Ceti on 2440, which he worked with NanoTrasen as a Chief Engineer till he was offered to become Captain. What do you like about this character? What I like about Rexu'li Ti'Mali is that he was a survivor of Glorsh-Omega and worked tirelessly to help his people rebuild. He was traumatized from the events of his childhood and sworn vengeance against Synthetics. He still bears the tears of his loss and keeps it in memory of them and his promise. How would you rate your role-playing ability? 7.8/10, too much water.
