Liberation Army Successfully Tests Intercontinental Nuclear Missile While the Democratic People's Republic has already mastered the production of nuclear weapons, the deployment range of the bombs has been always limited by the Air Brigrades coverage and short-range ballistics. However, the Liberation Army development department has revealed today the solution to this problem: the creation of the first Al'mariist intercontinental nuclear missile. Known as "Al'mari's Retribution", the rocket was tested on Gakal'zaal. Using a mixture of national technology and engines adapted from the Gakal'zaal station, the missile can cross thousands of kilometers in a matter of minutes. The Liberation Army released a video demonstrating the weapon's capabilities: The new intercontinental ballistic missiles are already undergoing production and will be deployed in silos built across the nation. The Liberation Army expects to be able to extend its coverage to all of Adhomai in one year. The recent electronics upgrade and the expansion of the extraction of uranium reserves gave a massive boost to the nuclear program. The government plans to replace most of the power plants with nuclear alternatives in the incoming years. The test was received positively by the National Assembly. President Almrah Harrlala cautiously labeled these developments as a necessary step in the current deterrence policies. Ex-interim President Brajrr Alnadruskiy urged for the transfer of all nuclear facilities to the Liberation Army. Bakhteiarova Mirzakhani, speaking for the Adhomian Blue Party, condemned the production of the missiles; she called it "a dangerous step towards the destruction of Adhomai''. Maksym Razin suggested naming their next experimental weapon after Nated. Rahman Hadjuk asked for the installation of extra silos on Amohda in case of further Hadiist aggression. Ahem Kah'nrir demanded access to the nuclear arsenal; his request was once again ignored by the National Assembly.

The application does not uses the lore in any way. You need to create a backstory that uses the server's lore. You can check it by reading the wiki. You are also very new to the server. You can try to apply again in two months. Application denied.

Gr33dy Makes a diseased cat to worship Raskariim.

We decided we will allow it. However, anyone with this condition would not be allowed to be in a job that required any kind of manual labor. We are also going to add some guidelines and likely some code support for it. Please rewrite some parts of the story to accomodate the feedback I gave. -

We should keep Tau Ceti basic as the "universal" language for the setting and Tau Ceti. I gues we could reduce its presence in other factions in favor of other languages, but there is no real benefit in removing it. Also a retcon of Tau Ceti Basic would mess with way too many things. I am unsure if there is any value in adding more human languages after the Elyran one. I feel that all factions might have it covered unless we somehow decide that adding a single language to a single planet is a good idea here. There is no point in breaking up Sol common in my opinion. Sol common is probably the human language with the most accents in lore, so there is more than enough representation I feel. With our current system, I think that two species should share a language only if there is any meaningful lore representation between them. Just because someone could learn is not really a good reason. -

One of the biggest issue with the character backstory is the use of Dornskhy. The backstory implies that it got better over time, which won't. The wiki explains that people suffering from this condition " must remain under constant medical care." It is not something really feasible to work on the station or surviving the transport to Tau Ceti while being smuggled. The other one is that fact it does not explores the civil war and the factions at all. We don't know what the character thinks about or how the events changed his life. It is a big part of the lore and it must be explored in the applications. Please rewrite the backstory taking in consideration these two points. -

At the moment, I can think of Crosk and Zaurghis. But this is just my opinion, I would talk to the human team if I was the deputy to see what they think. But these places exist and ultimately would also need some kind of development; I don't feel they bring anything interesting to the table. I don't think anywhere needs a total overhaul, at best updating it to be more deep and consider recent events, like the scarabs and the sol page itself. I think that after everything is more smooth and up to date, the best way would be to expand what exists and do in character development. We have the wildlands to explore and other conflicts between the nations. I think adding new planets should be allowed after the lore is in a good place but with more caution than before. -
Aware. I have asked for the head dev to take a look in your case.

Some questions: How does Araket sees the DPRA? The reasons for leaving are somewhat nebulous. What are the character's plans in Tau Ceti? What exactly she wants to accomplish there? Since she had to live in the NKA, what does she thinks of its current internal situation/events? -
Myphicbowser's Unathi Deputy Application
Alberyk replied to Myphicbowser's topic in Developer Applications Archives
I hope you meant the ship here. Unsure if you were in the community for these, but they were not really good or successful. The stagnation of the second antag contest was what kinda gave birth to our current model of canon arcs. Can you explain what do you envision an antag contest being? What players would do during these? I also think that using the compact is a bit questionable. It is a controversial part of the lore and we had some proposals to remove and rework it that went nowhere. I think that more established parts of the unathi lore are more deserving of this attention. Besides the arc stuff, what problems do you currently see in the unathi lore and how do you think you could help fix them? -

Because more stuff means more maintenance and more work. For example: the latest earth rework made a part of the scarabs' history conflicing with the earth lore, since the things they were refering to don't exist anymore, requering the lore writers to go over it. Also, anything meaningful being removed would go under the current retcon system we have. I am talking about it being used in lore and by writers. The techno-conglomerate page was never really updated after it was added and it is really small compared to the rest. Its presence in the wiki and our setting is minimal. Lore back then had different problems, so no. I think our lore is in a good position when it comes to content and avoiding giant rewriters that plagued the species back in the day. However, like I said, some teams are stuck in a circle of just doing maintenance and having to deal with a lot of stuff left by the previous writers. -

We need to stop adding more stuff, this is the first priority here. Second, I think we need to remove some of the less developed/interesting parts of the lore, like the techno-conglomerate. If the issue is the ammount we have, we need to reduce it. Retcons are the best way without adding further maintenance. -
Family Feud Behind Miran'mir's Bunkers Incident! 02.01.2464 The investigation of the Miran'mir's Bunkers collapses revealed an unexpected culprit behind the collapses. Dymtris Polytechnic College's technicians discovered that the cause of the cave-in was the poor quality of the steel used in its structure; the metal quickly became brittle and cracked during the night because of the cold. Interrogations uncovered that Dymtris Construction was aware of the dubious quality of the steel; they decided to continue with the construction to avoid any delay. Royal Peacekeeper's investigators traced shipments back to a foundry in Baltor. The supplier of the defective material was Misizla Steel Works - the corporation currently supplying all the Bunker Plan's construction sites. After investigating receipts and interrogating the staff, the agents quickly found the culprit. Prince Muhsin Mavka, the foundry's manager, had personally altered the shipment orders for Miran'mir's Bunkers. Steel delivered to the construction site had its chemistry altered and underwent inadequate heat treatment; the metal was also exposed to the cold instead of being properly stored. When questioned by the Peacekeepers, Prince Muhsin explained his reasons: he sabotaged the shipments to hurt the reputation of the Rukhaylo dynasty, the owners of Dymtris Construction. The houses of Mavka and Rukhaylo are allegedly involved in a feud caused by a legal dispute over land ownership. The scheme was maintained through the bribery of foundry workers; Prince Muhsin had used his personal funds to avoid raising suspicion. Misizla Steel Works fired Prince Muhsin Mavka when informed of the discovery. All of the steel shipped to the Miran'mir's Bunkers is being returned to the foundries; proper replacements are already on the way. The bunkers' structure must now be revised and replaced as needed. The extra work might take months to complete. Other bunkers were ordered to inspect their foundations for any sign of the defective material. Duke Volodymyr Rukhaylo did not comment on the matter. Queen Shumaila warned that the Crown might revise the deal with Dymtris Construction if another similar incident happens. The company's administration promised to punish the negligent employees.

Alberyk Deputy Loremaster Application

Same can be said of anyone that was not the lore master or deputy. The biggest arcs we had were pretty much speared by the lore deputies and lore masters with lore writers helping with whatever was needed. Much of kotw was kyres' writing, besides whatever was left for the teams to solve, like the human team. Sure we had some random contributions made by other species to certain areas of other lores, but ultimately the team have been focused on themselves. It is essentially a trend since I can remember and I think we should change. Also, I did try before. Because I believe this should be a group project that the entire lore team should work on. Everyone is going to use things like extranet, Biesel, and the faster than light methods. Writing everything myself or having a set proposal is not the same as doing what I said I would do by involving everyone, something only possible in someone in a position to administrate. As a mere lore writer, I can't assign teams to do x things or set deadlines. -

Currently, my plan is to continue getting the teams to step out of their comfort zone by assigning them to do the general lore projects, like the extranet or Tau Ceti's updates. I explained this in another post. To have people contribute to other teams is a bit more tricky and risky. I feel that we can't really force people to do it, at best we can incentivize it. Like when I tried, my suggestion went ignored, if something like this happened while I was in the administration of the team, I would get the team involved to review or give them a deadline to at least answer the suggestion. I think we can also see if any team is interested in asking for another team's help, this could be easier if the lore master or deputy was involved. I think it is a matter of balance. I think the lore master should intervene in anothe team's writing when whatever they are doing threatens the lore itself, either by breaking the rules or by creating a lot of issues. Ultimately, having someone rewrite the stuff you wrote should be a last measure. I prefer working through negotiation and guidance. I think taking matters in your hands is something that should be avoided, but in the end, the loremaster is the boss. -

This can be said of nearly everyone. Contribution between the teams is kinda lacking, but I sometimes show up to give my opinions on other channels. Like I pointed out, I once tried to contribute for an Elyra update a long time ago, but the people involved never came back on it. I did that when kyres asked if we wanted to get our species involved. I did not write only Tajaran things, I helped write a lot of articles about the invasion and other non-Tajaran events related to the solarian collapse, like the one about the frontiers being attacked by pirates. I also worked closely with everyone else to make the entire arc possible. Unsure how that was not being a team player. I wrote way more than that for the PMCG. I wrote the history, the overview section, and the article introducing it. Also, the group already existed, I just tied them with the corporation. Yes. However, I did make other suggestions and did contribute to the suggestions for when we wrote it and handled the feedback. I also wrote a lot of other sections of the megacorporation rewrites that have nothing to do with Tajaran but they have not been published yet. I am unsure how I am not a team player when even writing Tajaran lore I try to get the other teams involved in whatever we are doing. Like the Tajaran in Himeo and even Gakal'zaal. Both human and unathi teams were consulted and invited to contribute. -
Yearly Party Congress Discuss the Future of the Nation 31.12.2463 Held every year, the Hadiist Party Congress is a yearly gathering held in the Nal'tor to discuss the current issues and plans for the future of the People's Republic. This year's congress was held in the College of Career Excellence's auditorium. Party members from across Adhomai and beyond came to take part in this great event. The capital was bustling with activity as the hotels and bars filled up with guests. Diplomats from allied nations were also present. The congress was inaugurated with a speech from President Hadii. Standing at the podium alongside his ministers, he spoke to the Tajara people through radio, television, and the extranet: After several minutes of applause by the Crowd, Party Secretary Yakiv Hadii was allowed to speak: Agafya Nikiforova, the representative from the Free Tajaran Council, was present in the crowd at the time. While she declined to speak to the congress, Agafya assured that the Council was willing to further the relationship between both communities. Headmaster Harrrdanim Tyr'adrr was given the floor next: The crowd remained quiet after Tyr'adrr left. Minister of Defense Irbaykhan Mirarkiizar made his speech after the headmaster: Minister of Technology Zhuldyz Hadii spoke after the defense minister: Minister of Education Kalim Khazdar was the last minister to speak during the congress: After the Minister of Education's statement, the Congress continued with meetings between the Party members, diplomats, and corporate liaisons. President Hadii met with representatives from the Hadiist Party of Biesel; he congratulated them in defending the rights of the Tajara people in Tau Ceti. Victory Gin, Hro'zamal soda, Sugar Tree Candy, Rikazu, and fine slices of Zkah'nkowa were served during the event. This year congress was considered a success. The Party promised to hold the next one in the Palace of the Free Tajara.

Another great point I did not consider. If we solve the issues/implement my roadmap, I think we would be roughly at a good point in lore where each team can just move foward their ic narratives or develop the stuff they are most passionate about. This would meant that the team might need far less oversight. So yes, I would likely step down in this case.
