No. We have the same overmap system as bay. At best, we could add pilot as a bridge crew alt title.

Ghosts of war was a short canon lore arc hosted last month. The basic idea was to give some spooky/halloween vibes while creating a mystery/threat to keep people engaged. It was short compared to my last arcs. I tried to make the first two events less violent, while having a big finale. You can read more about it here: https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Ghosts_of_War_Arc Please post your feedback here. Tell me what you liked, what you did not like, what could be different, and etc.

We want to keep our current chain of command, we believe it works better this way. Executive officer was just the best name to better represent what the position is meant to be. Yes. But we are against a pilot job only because they would either do nothing or just do a single thing that is not granted to happen. Yes.

@Desven First of all. Don't assume anything or accuse people without any kind of proof. No one in the team is working out of spite. Having a definitive look and style for the server is something we have always wanted. I can look for proof of skull talking about this since forever. So chill down and stop creating conspiracy theories. This is not kyres showing up and doing whatever to fuck with people, it is the product of us discussing the nbt and the art style as a team. Seeing this kind of accusation from someone in the team is really frustating and does not help us in a project that is already not easy. And we will consider all the feedback that people posted here to improve the sprites.
-
Renaming the head of security job is not necessary for the launch of the nbt, and might add extra work. I am not against it, but can probably be done later.
-
Regulations changes have not been discussed yet. Any changes will be announced later.
-
We are not interested in changing how the current chain of command works. We also won't have a CO, it will be still named captain.
-
We want to avoid as much as renaming things because it will add even more moving parts to an already giant project. Stuff that was renamed was only done so when they had any changes in the job or did not make sense with the setting, like station engineering. Renaming them is a bit out of the scopes of the job changes. It can be done later when there is less going on.

Since we are changing to a ship, some jobs and departments are being changed to better accommodate the new setting. This is not definitive and we are willing to change it based on feedback and future testing. What was not changed: Medical, security, and engineering (the only difference is that station engineers will be renamed to engineers) are the same. What was changed: Command staff: Head of personnel will be renamed to Executive Officer: the job won't control the cargo/operations department, but it will be in charge of the general bridge operations, id changes, staff assignments, and usual hop duties. They are not the second in command. A new non-whitelisted job with three slots will be added, the bridge crew. They will be responsible for managing the bridge consoles, overmap controls, and shuttles. They don't have any authority over the crew. Cargo: A new whitelist head of staff job was added: operations manager. They will handle cargo, supplying the ship, and the hangar operations. The quartermaster job will be removed in favor of the operations manager. argo has been renamed to operations since they will be tasked with supply and the hangar related tasks. Cargo technicians will be renamed to Hangar Technicians. They will do the same things that regular cargo techs did, plus being tasked with loading the shuttles and other hangar tasks. They will have three slots Shaft miners will be renamed to Prospectors. They will remain essentially the same, the difference is that they will have to leave the ship to go mine. The drill technician alt title will be removed. They will have three slots. The operations department will get a new job: Machinist. This will job will inherit most of the robotics duties, with the exception of non-ipc surgery. They will still be able to build borgs, exosuits, general exploration equipment, and repair ipcs. They won't be able to do surgeries like installing prosthetics, medical will have to do that instead. Science: Science is the same, with the exception of losing the roboticist slots. We will like give them a bigger role in the expeditions. Service: A new job will be added to the service department: Service Manager. This job is not whitelisted and not a head of staff; it is similar to how the quartermaster works now. They will be tasked with managing the service department, alongside with having access to the service account. They will answer directly to the Executive Officer. Misc: Visitors have been separated into two jobs: Off-duty Crewmember: essentially visitor for people that work in the ship. Current visitor access restrictions apply to them. Passenger: people that don't work in the ship but are around. Current visitor access restrictions apply to them.

Pacification of Amohda Continues; Rahman Hadjuk Promises that Victory Against the Rebels is Close It has been more than one year since the Amohdan rebels, under the leadership of the traitorous Yaropolk Yazar, tried to dismantle the nation through a violent uprising. Armed by the monarchist, the traitors murdered innocent Al'mariists in an attempt to crave their own fiefdom in Adhomai. This attempt at unlawful secession was defeated by the might of the Liberation Army guided by Supreme Commander Nated. However, the turncoats continue to resist the presence of the Democratic People's Republic; the island is currently under direct military administration. Rrhaza-Akhran Rahman Hadjuk was appointed to lead the pacification efforts. Today he was called to the National Assembly to report on his progress. The guerilla presence on the island has been greatly reduced since last year. The capital and all cities are controlled by the Liberation Army - the rebels are only active in the fields, forests, and some villages. The deployment of Experimental Compound Troopers is considered a success; the chemical weapons proved to be effective in dealing with enemy fortifications and hideouts. Traditional Amohdan lodges have been allowed to reopen as long as they do not support the secessionist cause. While checkpoints are still being enforced, the civilian population can go about their daily lives without much disruption. Rahman Hadjuk offered a brief statement on the situation: Supreme Commander Nated approved more arms shipments to Amohda with the support of the Free Tajaran People's Party and the Followers of Nated. The Adhomian Blue Party demanded the withdrawal of the Experimental Compound Troopers from the island - the request was denied by the National Assembly. President Almrah Harrlala questioned Hadjuk about stepping down in favor of a civilian government after Amohda was pacified. Rrhaza-Akhran Rahman replied that they can discuss this after the secessionist and Hadiist menaces have been dealt with. Muharajuurl Muhr'Fal pledged to export extra foodstuff to Amohda. The National Assembly agreed to consider rebuilding the Liberation Army fleet.

Mendell City Police Prevents Terrorist Attack in District Eight Thanks to information provided by an anonymous source, the Mendell City Police department was able to foil a terrorist attack planned against District Eight. Law agents discovered several explosives hidden inside the foundation of buildings and in the streets of the Starlight Zone. The charges were a mixture of chemical and plastique devices using rustic radio detonators; all bombs were successfully disarmed. Most of the target structures were apartments on the Lekan Village's shore. Upon further investigation, law agents discovered a net of tunnels under the Lekan village area. The passages were recently built; specialists suspect that they were excavated in the past month. Further exploration led the agents to a wide underground system below District Six and Seven. Mendell City police suspect that the perpetrators were using the underground as a hiding spot to avoid any detection. No suspects were found on site. The point of origin of the tunnels could not be located due to what agents believe to be manmade cave-ins. District Eight's Neightboor Watches are on high alert for any future disturbance. Mendell City's police department has mobilized its agents to comb the rest of the city in search of the terrorists and any remaining explosives. Residents of the Starlight Zone thanked the law agencies for their quick response. No group has claimed any responsibility for the attempt yet. Investigators suspect that criminal groups in Little Adhomai might be involved. The Jargon Federation diplomatic mission did not comment on the matter.

Minor Tajaran Second Revolution Factions
Alberyk replied to DatSamTho's topic in Lore Canonization Applications Archive
Sorry for the delay, but after reviewing how we want to portray the events of the early second civil war, we decided to keep the three current factions. A lot of lore, like notable character, regions, and cities, rely on these moments. So adding new entire forces would require a lot of work and retcon. While some of these ideas have been already implemented, like the Free Council in Himeo being similar to the Black Armies, we might use some of them in future developments. So I guess this is somewhat denied in being used for the early Second Revolution. -
Since it was a single perman and it has been a while, I will lift this. Remember to read the sever rules again. Accepted.

The Kingdom Celebrates the Day of Rightful Restoration 27.10.2463 Today the Kingdom commemorates its second Day of Rightful Restoration since the Armistice. Established shortly after the return of King Azunja to the throne, the holiday celebrates the independence of the New Kingdom from foreign occupation. The population took the streets to celebrate in all cities. Pubs remained open throughout the night bustling with activity. Museums and theaters opened their doors to the public for free. King Azunja's announcement declaring the Kingdom's return and other selected speeches were broadcast on The Crown Herald during the entire day. Thanks to Her Majesty’s Mercantile Flotilla, the people were able to enjoy alien-made snacks and other commodities sold at popular prices. As is tradition, the parade was held through the city. Queen Shumaila Azunja, standing at the Imperial Palace's balcony, watched the procession alongside Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan. The ceremony was led by Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas with rows of sailors following him. Ras'nrr Expeditionary Force Marines, accompanied by Mrraka'te'almalik Marrmeladov, followed after. Imperial Dragoons and Royal Grenadiers opened the army section of the parade. Alam'ard units, wearing their best field uniforms, marched behind the special forces. Rock Nomad and Amohdan auxiliary troops came last. Warships docked at Kaltir fired their cannons to pay their honors to the Rightful Restoration. Royal Flying Corps autogyros flew over the capital leaving a trail of white smoke on the skies. After the parade, Queen Shumaila Azunja, notable parliamentarians, and high-ranking nobles took part in a feast organized in the Imperial Palace's great hall. King of the Mountains Rustam Harmaliik was also present for the festivities; he had a brief private meeting with Her Majesty about the growing tensions in the Nomadic Host. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh spent most of the party socializing with the nobility and corporate representatives. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas engaged with reporters on-site, recounting his experience during the war. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk returned to his home to spend time with his family when the main event was over. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho toured Kaltir's pub to gather support for his recently founded party. Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan retired to his quarters after the military procession. The off-world Tajara living in Tau Ceti also celebrated the Day of Rightful Restoration. Taking advantage of the fresh Adhomian goods brought by Her Majesty’s Mercantile Flotilla, the inhabitants of Little Adhomai gathered in the Sleeping Cannon Pub to feast. Midhat Hamiyeh, a local community leader, praised Queen Azunja for the prosperity she is bringing to the Tajara. At the night, the Crown published the new parliamentarians Her Majesty chose to occupy the positions created early this month. Surprisingly, all the parties received the same amount of seats. Political specialists believe that Her Majesty is trying to preserve the new balance brought by the introduction of the Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity.

The point of replacing stuff here is to create a more coherent and unique style for our sprites. It is being replaced to just don't be a mixture of everything we could gather from every single place or contribution that did not consider a single vision because it was not possible back in the day. However, we will not ignore feedback here.

Contraband Seized Aboard an SCC Space Station Tau Ceti law enforcement has confirmed the seizure of a large contraband shipment yesterday aboard a corporate space station. The cargo came into the possession of the station's crew after the ship, a small civilian corvette, carrying it had to dock with the facility because of an emergency. A group of wounded and hungry refugees from the wildlands was present in the crew's compartment. The contraband was discovered after engineers were dispatched to repair the ship. Guns, nuclear waste containers, and barrels containing an unidentified acid were found in the ship's engine room. The origin and purpose of the shipment are currently unknown. The identification of the chemical was hindered because of heat damage caused by a fuel leak. However, specialists confirmed that the compound is some kind of industrial-grade acid. The nuclear waste that was found was likely the byproduct of a rustic nuclear fission technique. The pilot of the ship was found dead inside the locked cockpit. While the body had clear bullet wounds, coroners were unable to identify the cause of death due to the extensive damage caused by the fuel fire. Another passenger died in an unrelated chemical incident. The remaining survivors have been already interrogated and were given asylum by the government. Authorities are still searching for the ship's registry; they suspect that the smugglers likely registered it in the frontier. While extranet crime forums claim that the incident was linked to the Bayonet Hand's killings, Tau Ceti law agencies dismissed this hypothesis. Smuggling is becoming increasingly common in the wildlands and the reconstruction zone. Stellar Conglomerate's liaisons promised to continue working with the government to solve this security crisis.

The Parliament Discuss the Growing Tensions in the Nomadic Host of the Southern Borders 23.10.2463 Government and Nomadic representatives from the Nomadic Host of the Southern Borders met today with the Parliament to discuss the growing tensions in the semi-autonomous province. While conflict between the settlers and the nomadic population was already commonplace, skirmishes are becoming more frequent. The local constabulary is overwhelmed; the small officer corps has to cover large distances in the rural region to answer any call. Unable to count on the Crown's protections, the settlers are starting to organize themselves into militias. Squads of armed farmhands and ranchers patrol the properties in search of any nomadic caravan trespassing. Believing themselves to be the rightful owners of these lands, the Rhazar'Hrujmagh rarely retreat without a fight. The settler's representatives asked for the Crown to send reinforcements to protect them from the Nomads. The Rock Nomads requested the dissolution of the militias. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh urged Her Majesty to deploy the army to protect the farms and ranches of the Host; he claimed that most of the land was being wasted because of the nomad's presence. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas sided with the Rhazar'Hrujmagh; Dynhaas argued that the nomadic caravans are a necessary part of their border defense and should not be disrupted. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk suggested moving a portion of the constabulary from the northern regions to the south to prevent further escalation. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho praised what he called the "Nomadic Warrior Spirit" and proposed resettling all sedentary populations to other provinces. The Rock Nomad delegate spoke on behalf of King of the Mountains Rustam Harmaliik to the parliament: After consulting with Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan, Queen Shumaila decided to move some northern constabulary forces to the Nomadic Host for the time being. Royal Peacekeepers involved in the Adhomian Democratic Front's investigation are also being deployed to uncover the cause of the hostilities. Grand Duke Yudenikh warned Her Majesty about spreading the Kingdom's internal security too thinly.

I don't think I have any questions or doubts about the backstory. It uses the lore very well to create a character and insert them in the station setting. Accepted. -
The backstory is very good, however, there is something I am having trouble with early parts of the story. If Aak'rrajk's father was a Hadiist, and the PRA was attempting to settle the nomads, why would he continue to carry on with the nomadic lifestyle? If that would be impossible to implement on his own right away would make sense, but that can also be a point of confinct with the caravan. I guess that sending the children to a youth club would make sense to help them acquaintanced with the typical Tajaran lifestyle, but a minor correction: he would be part of the Youth Brigades, instead of the Hadii's Youth Clubs; the organization was created this year. From the wiki: Does he worship any Ma'ta'ke deity in particular?

YourDaddy117 - Tajara Whitelist Application

Some questions before I make a decision: How did Hralkarr see the early Second Revolution Hadiist measures against the Zhan population as a follower of Hadiism? Anything in particular triggered this change or was this the result of a longer process? Which Hadiist Schools of Thought Hralkarr believes in or relates with the most?
