I've had the pleasure of RPing with at least two of JBoy's characters. Both Emily O'Harron and Alisa Keener were interesting characters to interact with. I have not RP'ed with Jboy in some time, but if he's anywhere near as good as I remember, he can handle an Unathi whitelist. I fully endorse this application. +1. Probably a Chaplain or Counselor role.

BYOND key:Loow Character names: Beatrix Saylor, Brady Saylor, Chance Mendoza, Jack, Latif Ha'kim, Nautif Mih-Hel, Steven Smith, Teresa Vasquez, Virgil Wayland How long have you been playing on Aurora?:Eight months? Nine months? Eight months. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?:Because my time is now. Why did you come to Aurora?: I had grown tired of another server and decided that it was not the place for me. A friend began talking about Aurora and how it was "different". If memory serves, it was a reddit post of a mid-round funeral for a security officer that made me finally decide to give Aurora a try. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yes, I have. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is the act of putting ones self into the mind of a character. You're not you. Loow's not Loow. You become this character you roleplay as. Roleplay is about bringing this fictional character, this person, to life. Their thoughts, their dreams, their aspirations can only be brought to life by you. Roleplay is bringing a person who does not exist to life and how you as a player do it. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: Keep the station floating. Help the departments keep the station floating. Help other players continue on with their wonderful RP and such. Also, it never hurts to try and be a good example. Involve others in your RP, teach somebody who wants to learn. Be the best darn player you can be and help others along their way. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: The OOC responsibilities are fairly numerous, but I'll try to sum them up with three main points: Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect. Hustle: Not being afraid to work hard and put in the extra effort even when things look bad. It doesn't matter how many times you fall as long as you keep getting back up. With other players, this would mean doing my best to see the players through any round in which I RP a head of staff rather than leaving them high and dry. Loyalty: Not everyone on Aurora is as experienced as our whitelisted players. It's our duty to help players of our community who are in need. If they don't understand the world, the mechanics, or how the station itself runs,we should be there to help them. Respect: The whitelisted, and all players, ought to give all players some level of respect. You don't need to duck your head down or beg forgiveness, but don't be afraid to go up to somebody and share your honest opinion in a semi-civil manner. That goes along well with not being afraid to bury the hatchet. If and when someone does feel disrespected, talk it out. A little bit of communication goes a long way. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name:Steven Smith Character age:36 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Steven shut his eyes hard and brought his left hand to his face. He grabbed the bridge of his nose hard and tried to put his words into a less hostile form than they had taken in his head. "Sir..." Steven opened his eyes and spoke in a slow, even tone. "Your forms are in order. Your request for additional access is denied. Please end this scene and continue about your shift." Steven put on a plastic smile and added a tinge of sweetness to his voice. "If you require anything further, I can provide you with appropriate paperwork." The man standing before him had a blank stare and dead eyes. He turned to leave without a word and bumped into the wall as he finally left Steven's field of vision. "Why does NT let these people get past initial screening?" Steven had studied business. Steven had studied management. Now that Steven was in his "optimal work environment", he felt that he was something to be studied. Why would a man who had clawed his way from a humble beginning as a youth of old Luna to a multi-trillion dollar company like NanoTrasen hate his job? Steven shook his head slowly with his "smile" still stuck to his face. He took a moment to ponder this thought, as he had done the day before and the week before that. Surely the issue was not Steven. No. The issue was this place. Yes! The issue is his position! Steven tapped on his desk before pulling a sheet of paper. He wrote down several words. Or were they names? Steven didn't care. He only cared about the places known by these words. He saw the word he associated with his current position. He drew three lines through this word. He considered the other words. Steven crossed out several words before stopping at one for a moment. "Odin". Steven drew a question mark by this word. He could work for "Odin". Some day. Steven eventually found that there were not many words on his list that he had not crossed out. He held his pen up above his desk and flicked downward. The pen bounced a few times and came to rest pointing to the word he associated with his current position. Steven winced and pushed the pen over slightly. It now pointed to another word. "Aurora." Steven nodded to himself and looked around his desk to be sure none of his "co-workers" had watched him. He looked back down at the word and let his face turn into something resembling a genuine smile. "Aurora it is." What do you like about this character?: He has a business mindset, is a typical businessman, focused on his own business and is now getting sick of it. His job has started to feel less like a passion and more like... work. He's exactly the sort of person I could realistically see as a Head of Personnel. Cynical as it may sound, I don't picture most management-types as being happy people. He comes to work because it is the job he has and it pays well. What do you dislike about this character?: He's about as sociable as a used-car salesman. Y'know? He's smiling while he's talking to you, but it doesn't always seem sincere. Like talking to a character is just a part of his job that he has to deal with. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Whether Stevie likes it or not, he's qualified for a position as a Head of Staff and he's not too bad at it. He's got the mindset to drudge through paperwork and get that quarterly report done by noon on Friday. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: Three loyalty implants out of four. I'm open to criticism. Extra notes: I plan on using this whitelist primarily for HoP work, but I am open to the idea of occasional HoS RP if I feel particularly insane one day. In the near future, I will be RPing a character that I will at some point have as a Captain. Foreshadowing Thank you for reading my Whitelist Application. If it is not too much trouble, I'd like to ask for your advice. What do you like in a HoP/HoS/Captain? What do you hate? Anyone have any tips or general advice? I'm not too proud to at least hear it out.

I did some soul searching by walking along a dock at sunset while listening to "Dust in The Wind" and came to a realization. "We've had a few detectives named Price haven't we?" After some deep introspection that came about as I was teaching a small mid-western town how to dance again, I found that Miss Jane-Luc looks nothing like the specific Price that I had once known. It probably helped that they had a similar name (John? Jess? Jessica? James? Jeremiah?), but again, that Price is not this Price. Once I knew that the Price was not quite right, I sought about an epic journey to see just who this Jan-Luc Price is. After a long and arduous Montage that included such trials as running through the crowded Philadelphia streets with "I'm Gonna Fly Now" playing in the background and learning the basics of the ancient art known as Kar-a-te between the lines of Joes Espito's "You're the Best Around", I had finally come to a firm conclusion. "Meh. Jan-Luc's probably not that bad. Probably." Inspirational tales aside, CDB obviously is not the person I thought they were. Multiple people vouch for their RP and about as many warn that Jane can get a bit too "into it". CDB can probably handle the role. I ghosted and watched Jane in action for a bit and did not see her do anything particularly game-breaking or power-gamey. I retract my previous -1. Let's see how this goes, eh? Now if you will excuse me, I have to go learn about myself and the world around me by spending time with members of different cliques in Saturday Detention and put off writing anything until after we've all come to a mutual understanding of respect and friendship.

Neither do I, but I am more than confident that Nursie can handle operating as a Head of Staff. Nursie knows when to hold 'em, when to fold 'em, when to walk away and when to run. (And by that I mean that I have never seen Nursie's RP lacking.) You can dislike a Nursie character because of how well that character is brought to life. On that same token, Nursie herself is capable of making a character that makes people feel something. How many people see this application and think Essel shouldn't have a CMO gig? Those are all people that have been moved by Nursie's character, Phoebe. She can make a character that people care so deeply about (whether positively or otherwise) and that makes me think that she can make a Head that people will care about just as much. (Although Harper probably won't have such a rough reputation... right?) I'm totally in favor of Nursie RPing heads. Give us something to care about. +1.

I'll be honest. Price is one of the worst security characters I have ever seen. They act like an abusive officer even when in investigative roles such as detective. That character should not be trusted as a Head Of Security by any stretch of the imagination. I'd like to be proven wrong and see Price as a good character for the job, but this has not happened yet and it would take quite a long and vastly different track record for me to trust Price with the role. Could CDB handle being a Head of Staff? I've only ever seen them in action as Price. From what I have seen, no. No CDB can not be trusted with that much power. Especially not as Price. -1. Either see about making a new character for the role or RP Price in a way that is more becoming of a Head of Staff. As Price is now, this application should not be approved or even considered.

monkeysfist101's Head of Staff Application.
Loow replied to monkeysfist101's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
From its take on serious characters with ever developing situations and ideas to his lighthearted renditions of characters that pay homage to themes dear to his heart, Monkey's RP leaves you wanting more. Whether you want 'em to or not, Monkey leaves an impression with his characters. I have RPed with Monkey on several formats from D&D and Pathfinder to the very 2D spaceman game we all know and love. He is more than capable of immersing himself in a role and getting in the head of any character he chooses to become. On that note, Monkey sees this character as the "straight man" that can act as the station needs without becoming a "super cop" and I am more than confident that he can take this role and play it beautifully. Monkey is getting this whitelist and Bray is going to do his job admirably. If anyone can be trusted to play the part of a character with power over a station's security team, then it is Monkey. I completely endorse this application. -
I've never seen Francis Hunt act seriously.... I have however seen him offer people syringes and try to convince people to take them. I don't like seeing this character in security and I would be hard pressed to see them as a Head of Staff. Here's some highlights of that incident to paint a picture of this character's behavior: Francis Hunt says, "They can... remove my aids back at Central." Francis Hunt says, "I want to see what this syringe does." Francis Hunt asks, "Does anyone want to test it?" Francis Hunt says, "I'll get you a free cigar." Francis Hunt says, "Free cigar and dental." Francis Hunt says, "AND dental." Francis Hunt says, "Right." Francis Hunt says, "I will give you ten cigars, dental and one hundred credits." Francis Hunt says, "Dental care. One year." Francis Hunt says, "So.." Francis Hunt asks, "Syringe?" Francis Hunt says, "Pfft." Francis Hunt yells, "Come on!" Francis Hunt says, "Cigars and dental care." Francis Hunt says, "I'll even russle your parents jimmis." Edit: This goes without saying, but I do not approve of this application being accepted and I think it is a shame that it even has to be considered. This character seems to be either a joke-character or some sort of incompetent security member that should not even be aboard a space station. -1.

Beatrix Saylor- Crime Scene Investigator "Hey, it's no problem!" "I don't CARE if I'm wrong! You're more wrong!" Brady Saylor- Security Officer "I don't see a reason to make this an incident." This Unit was originally designated 021! Please call him Jack!" "Yes!" Latif Ha'kim- Cargo Technician "Beforrre she asks, yes. He is rrrelated to Nasirrr. Did she want something?" "He wishes luck." Nautif Mih-Hel- Scientist "Shorry..." "I'd rather Naut." Preston Toque- Assistant "Have you met me?" "Well aren't you special?" Steven Smith- HoP "Of course. Do you have approval from your designated Head of Staff?" "Have you filled out the appropriate paperwork?" Teresa Vasquez- Engineering Apprentice "Are we working this shift or what?" "Just fix it so we can move on." Virgil Wayland- Nursing Intern "Perhaps I can be of some assistance?" "Certainly we can talk this over?"

The app is eye-catching, well done and makes for an interesting read. The character promises to be one worth seeing on the station. I've managed to get some good RP from Sue's ERT as an antag. I don't have a lot of experience RPing with Sue, but what I did get was an enjoyable experience that I would not mind having again. I believe Susan is more than capable of handling IPC's as far as RP is concerned. This application has my support. While I have the floor, Sue has also shown she is fully capable of abusing this power if she sees fit. Antagonist-hunting, power-gaming, fun-having, whatever you wish to call it, Sue has been accused of it in OOC and forum posts enough times that it merits mentioning. Depending on how Sue uses this app, we are either getting an interesting character or an unfeeling kill-bot. I look forward to seeing the former, but I will not act like the latter is impossible.

Just what pops out at me. Anyone can let me know if I'm off the mark. TLDR Choices: 1.Same Sol Government. (Like this vote never happened. Seemingly nothing changes.) Loves aliens all over. NT is love. 2. Raise Taxes, Legalize Meth and Unionize workers. NT are oppressive jerks who need to unionize workers. 3. Humanity tries to fix its own problems. Fix education. Aliens are okay. Move troops out of Lizard/Cat space. Send troops to help the neglected Outer Colonies. NT is too powerful and isn't helping Sol. 4. Literally Fascism. A few interesting ideas revolving around "I hope you hate aliens, because we sure do."

~ Crescentise's Lore Person Application ~
Loow replied to Crescentise's topic in Developer Applications Archives
Crescentise has made it clear that she cares about this station's lore time and time again. She has an interest in two races who are often overlooked by a large portion of the community. She has made it clear that she wants to help by even adjusting the wiki into a way that the lore team and players can agree on. Crescentise is quite literally the prospective loredev people have been asking for. She has the capacity to do so much to help our team and the passion to go through with it. Frankly, I am surprised this application was not filed sooner. I wholeheartedly support this application. -
BYOND Key: Loow Character Names: Beatrix Saylor, Brady Saylor, Chance Mendoza, Jack, Nautif Mihhel, Steven Smith, Teresa Vasquez, Virgil Wayland How long have you been playing on Aurora: Six months? Seven months? Eight? Somewhere in there. Species you are applying to play: Tajara What color do you plan on making your first alien character : Somewhere in the Zhan-Khazan range. Leaning toward Darker blue-Grey and Black. Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes, several times. I really want this to go well. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: As an outsider looking in, I see the Tajara as a lovely bunch of characters. They are bigoted, hateful, judgmental and have a false sense of entitlement. All of these traits come together to assure me that the Tajara are just like everyone else. I've seen a lot of Tajara done very well and many of them do not fall into the stereotype people so love to picture them in. This stereotype being "Filthy Cat-beasts" who are all after our jobs and will no doubt take over the station with their grubby little paws and tails. I've had a lot of good experiences with Tajara characters on several servers. They have proven to be a diverse group with more than enough character variation and personality quirks to go around. I've been impressed and downright surprised with how well a few characters have been brought to life. I've obviously gotten a share of inspiration from Nasir Ha'kim, but I'd also like to mention Ziva Mo'taki and (most recently) Omnir Al-Nasser as Tajara who've I've found surprisingly... human. With all of this in mind, I want to take up the challenge of RPing a believable Tajara character who can add to the existing community. The players of this server have inspired me to give Tajara my best shot. Here's to hoping it goes well and that at least one person can enjoy this new character. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Tajarrra come frrrom a different school of thought than humans. Whereas humanity has thrust itself into the stars over centuries of progress, the Tajara have only recently found themselves able to suddenly interact with these new species and experiences. Ignoring the obvious difference in speech, Tajara come from a culture that's fundamentally different from most modern humans, and that must be kept in mind when attempting to role-play a Tajara. Character Name: Latif Ha'kim Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs As the youngest of the Ha'kim family, Latif grew up looking to his older siblings as role models. Throughout his childhood, Latif would get into trouble and justify it by saying that he acted as his siblings would have. As Latif grew older, he found himself attempting to mirror his siblings more and more. After both of his siblings moved on away from their home town of Kal'Tiiv, Latif suddenly found himself with room to act as he saw fit. While he would always carry the influence his family had on him, Latif began acting out to try and "find himself" and his place in the universe. This lead to him "acting out" in ways which his parents found strange and out of character for the young Tajara. Latif's parents were eventually convinced that what he was missing was discipline. After having picking a fight in a market, Latif was offered a place in a local hunting party in the hopes that this would help him. For years, Latif spent the majority of his time with the other members of this hunting party. It taught him quite a bit about himself as he stopped relying so heavily on his siblings as examples. In that time, Latif became dear friends with two of the younger hunters, Navid and Zakiya. By the age of 26, Navid had convinced Latif to finally take a shuttle off Adhomai to go see the universe. Navid had heard of a company called NanoTrasen, and was insistant that they would hire nearly any Tajaran and treat them well. Zakiya was reluctant with the idea at first, but after being pressured by both Navid and Latif to go with them, she finally gave in. At the age of 27, Latif and his friends left Admohai for Tau Ceti. All three applied to work for the mega-corporation. Ironically, Navid was the only one to be denied a position with NanoTrasen. With a new home, old friends and a new job, Latif feels he is prepared for life among the stars. Only time will tell if this was a wise decision or a foolish one. What do you like about this character? Latif has already had a fair bit of change from a young Tajaran with issues of self image and rebelliousness into a person with his own opinions and attitude. He's largely overcome many of his own personal demons and is leaving his home as a better person than he once was. I'd like to see where Latif goes from here. How would you rate your role-playing ability? Three claw marks on Travis Davis' arm out of four. Notes: Thank you for reading this application. If you have any comments or criticism on my RP, Latif, Tajara or just about anything semi-relevant to this topic, I'd love to hear it. I've been preparing for this app for a while now and I truly hope I can make Latif into a character that is interesting to interact with.

~ Crescentise's Hisslord Application ~
Loow replied to Crescentise's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Crescentise has proven time and time again that she is perfectly capable of making interesting characters. I've had the opportunity to become acquainted with a few of them. She is better known for her nurse, Luna, but some of her lesser known characters are among my favorites. Lola is an interesting example of a Skrell intellect and is more than capable of holding a conversation. Aryss is a cadet with her own set of issues and interesting mannerisms based around avoiding them. Vitaly is Vitaly. He's a brilliant example of a professional character with an agenda. Not to denounce any of traditional "good guy" characters, but I love Vitaly as he is; a doctor who finds a fine balance between helping others and helping himself. I am confident that Crescentise will work wonders with an Unathi character and all of the opportunities for RP that the race provides. +1. -
Pyrotechnics2 Head whitelist app
Loow replied to Pyrotechnics's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
This is Pyrotechnics' 5th attempt at a Head of Staff Whitelist application. I suggest anyone who plans on posting on this thread first reads the previous threads. I've not seen any improvement on the part of his previous character, Jack O'Keefe, but I welcome anyone to give feedback on Pyrotechnics' RP. I've not had good experiences with his characters and I think he is not presently capable of functioning as a Head of Staff player. I hope to be pleasantly surprised by Pyrotechnics' RP at some point in the future, but this has not happened yet. I wish Pyrotechnics the best of luck, but I can not approve of his application because of the impression his previous characters left on me and others. (See previous threads for details.) -
I've never been disappointed with a character played by Aqy. Emmy, Shaw, Omega and Nan have proven to be interesting characters to interact with and I would be more than happy to see an Aqy character in a command position. Aqy has proven to be an exceptional member of our community and I look forward to seeing them help lead our fine station.

Be ghost. Be watching Ops whole time. Be observing struggle of Glory-Ops. Be seeing Odin become kill. Odin becomes kill. "...Yes..."

All in all, I like this idea. In fact, I like this idea a lot. I would love to see appropriate RP and perhaps a bit of excitement among genetics characters. The NSS Aurora is on the "cutting edge" of research and science. I'd love to see a bit more of that feeling of "new innovation" and progress around medical and science. This change promises to add quite a bit to the RP of the Aurora as well as some fun new game-play for people who don't believe in chair RP. I'm looking forward to this being canonized and hold my breath to hear more.
-
I love the idea for Skrell links. It makes sense the race would have a "language" that most other races are unable to comprehend. After all, their minds and emotions are on a level totally separate from humans. This promises to be the change that leads more quality RPers to give Skrell the chance it deserves. With an optional accent, a slight mechanic change, and no nonsensical age-cutting disease, I see the Skrell getting a fair bit of attention and good RP coming in all across the board. Skrell already have a bit of lore that makes them worth trying. This change would prove to make them even more interesting. I look forward to warbling internally in the near future.

[Locked] Skrellian Speech: Thoughts & Solutions
Loow replied to Crescentise's topic in Answered Questions
It's all been said here. The "accent" is keeping people from attempting RP as the race that canonically has known humanity the longest. It is an injustice that a race with such advanced technology, interesting culture and fascinating differences in psychology is so horrifically handicapped simply because of an accent that is neither clearly specified nor necessary. If an edit to the wiki made it more clear that this accent is, as was stated, not mandatory, we'd likely get more good RPers interested in the race rather than annoyed with the warbling. These Skrell would then likely inspire more players to give Skrell the fair chance it deserves. I am not against the idea of voice synthesizers and such changes to the species. I feel the race has plenty of flavor without needihng tooh hafe shuch rediculoush ackshents. I respectfully ask our community to consider adding to the ranks of the Skrell. They have been in contact with Humanity the longest and frankly should be much more common on the NSS Aurora. -
I've never seen Nursie be toxic or otherwise unpleasant. I think what we're seeing here is a failure to separate IC and OOC. Phoebe can be difficult to work with for a good chunk of characters. If you want to file a complaint, do it ICly. I understand that you "have beef" with Nursie because of a recent report which was filed against you for your own RP and self-admitted metagrudging. That's understandable. Your feelings are hurt. You've already said that you have a negative opinion of Nursie, and that's well within your rights. I'm glad we have a chance to talk about this character. I don't think Nursie is "wrong" to RP a character who is rude and confrontational at times. This is just not correct. As a player with multiple characters, I've had characters with no history with Phoebe meet her several times. It's gone in different ways and I never message Nursie with stuff like "HEY NURSIE, THIS IS LOOW PLAYING THIS CHARACTER", so I've had multiple chances to see how Phoebe treats "new people". Phoebe is not the sort to hold your hand and guide you through medbay. She expects you to have a certain level of competence and to be able to function without her, or at least, that's what I've seen. I have one character who met her as an eager student who was looking to learn about surgery, they seemed to get along well although the interaction was short. Phoebe is, as far as I have seen, not overly aggressive or otherwise disdainful unless a character starts down that path. I believe this because I have RPed characters who met with Phoebe while being "pushy" or "rude". She seems to have a way of thinking that makes sense. Someone's rude to her, so she doesn't go out of her way to interact with them. Is it frustrating? Yes. Is it unreasonable? No. It makes complete sense for a character to not want to be best buddies with an aggressive or otherwise unpleasant person. I've also had a character who met her as "a friend of a friend" more or less. Because of this character's personality, this character didn't like Phoebe very much, but they did meet multiple characters (both Xeno and human) who vouched for Phoebe. Phoebe is considered by many characters to be a friend. To sum it up, I've had characters who viewed Phoebe as everything from "that bitch" to "my coworker" to "okay, I guess." I even have one character who went through all three of those views. After seeing the character from so many angles, I can say without a doubt that she is an interesting character that adds good RP to our community. She may not like you, but that's okay. She's a person with opinions and a personality. Think of it like this, if you met someone who you thought of as "unpleasant", would you complain to your superiors about her or just continue along your day? I hope the latter. This more or less shows my opinion on this topic in general. Someone is upset because a character dislikes their character and continues to metagrudge against them and has the gall to air their frustration in the guise of a formal complaint. Feel free to hate a character, but don't impose that aggression you feel towards them onto your own characters. If I had all of my characters share my initial view of Phoebe, it would have made for far less interesting RP. Phoebe has the capacity to act (almost disarmingly) kind to characters she "does not have a history with". Your complaint is even labeled as being against "Nursiekitty" rather than an IC complaint against Phoebe. Nursie is not breaking the rule of "Don't be a dick." Phoebe may be "a dick", but others can vouch that she is a character. You can like or dislike a character all you want, but please have the decency to separate your IC hate from OOC aggression. Unless of course, your complaint is mainly based on all of the meta and gossip about Phoebe... in which case, please try to get to know the character. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Reporting Personnel: Virgil Wayland Rank of Reporting Personnel: Assistant Personnel Involved: Jamison Stamos (Assistant), Virgil Wayland (Assistant), Luna Fountain (Nurse), Cylia Tuvies (Chef), Gaia Estrella (unkown. Possible Scientist or Roboticist), Sslazhir Yinzr (Security Officer) Time of Incident: Approximately 14:00 Starting roughly twenty minutes before crew transfer. Location of Incident: Library Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard [x]Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property []Neglect of Duty [x]Harassment [x]Assault [x]Misconduct []Other _____ Overview of the Incident: While in the library, Jamison Stamos entered and a small group of crew members chatted in the library. Among this group were Ms. Estrella and Ms. Fountain. Jamison proceeded to openly insult the friends and associates of several crew members and it was easy to tell that he was making the people feel uncomfortable. After some time, I asked him to leave. He then proceeded to approach me in an aggressive manner and make idle threats against me. I stood my ground but did not make any threats against him. I told him he was acting like a child in a body too big for himself. He proceeded to grab me, but I pulled myself free of his grip. After threatening me further, I asked over Public Communications if security would come to the library. He left shortly after. Officer Sslazhir Yinzr responded as Jamison Stamos left. Some time later, he returned. He walked directly to me and told me to "Be careful what you wish for". I did not know what he was talking about and he clarified. "I'm pretty sure you are yelling for a beating today". I told him it was my first shift on station and asked why he was acting the way he was. He responded with "Then I'd guess you learn who to piss off and who not". Those were his exact words. It sounds as if Stamos is used to doing such things with no sort of repercussion or professional warning. Fountain and Tuvies asked him to stop. I then spilled my drink on his shoes. I advised him to get a new pair. Jamison Stamos then grabbed me as I backed away and told me I had made a mistake. I had backed into the library counter when he took the cigar out of his mouth. He then pressed the lit cigar into my face. I reflexively screamed and struck him in the stomach as I backed away from him. He proceeded to gloat and I called him a monster. As I entered the shuttle, he made further threats against me over Public Communications. Among these were "You and I gonna have a lot of Fun in the Future..." He then made reference to fights he had been in with other crew members in the past. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: No. I am writing this report in the hopes that it reaches the correct officials. Additional notes: This was my first shift aboard the NSS Aurora and I am frankly shocked that such an ill mannered, belligerent and openly hostile person is allowed to work here while openly insulting coworkers and committing forms of violence. This incident has made me seriously reconsider this station as a place of work. If such activities are "the norm" or "acceptable" here, I will gladly leave. I have no idea how Jamison Stamos manages to get in such incidents with such a casual attitude. Has he never been evaluated by his coworkers? Does NanoTrasen not check with its employees for complaints? Is it just normal for him to get away with hurting, harassing and assaulting people? He certainly acts as if the answer to each of these questions is yes. I have no idea how he functions well enough to remain employed on such a high profile station with his attitude as I have seen it. In my short time on the station, I have canvased the area and attempted to get a feel for his environment. All and all, I am ashamed for not helping the crew more and was fearful for my position as well as my planned future position. I had nothing to show for my time on the station, but Jamison seems to act as if this is normal and just a part of the day. Does he usually avoid work in the hopes of getting into altercations? All I have gained from my time on Aurora is a burn. I am not going to see about having it cosmetically removed until this situation is dealt with. I hope it serves as a reminder of just the sort of work environment NanoTrasen facilitates. I hope this reaches appropriate Duty Officers or Human Resources representative and brings insight into the social marvel that is "Jamison Stamos". I wish the crew the best of luck in regards to that marvel, for I feel I have had my fill of it. If Jamison Stamos assaults or accosts me again, I will write another report. Thank you for reading this report. Have a productive day.

This cap in particular holds a significant sentimental value to Chance. To him, this hat shows where he's come from, how far he's got left to go, and all in all that he knew people who "gave a damn" at some point. Why does this quote and cap matter so much to Chance? Ask ICly. I'm not playing all of my cards on the app to get the item. If there's a story to be told, I don't want to spoil it for the people who actually care to hear it ICly by explaining it in excruciating detail in a OOC outlet. Get to know Chance and ask him after a while. He'll probably tell you. If you ask him at "the drop of a hat", he'll probably not care to tell you his life story. In order to leave something to be learned about the character, I'm not going to post it here. If you require further information for the purpose of evaluating this application, feel free to PM me. If you're fine just knowing that his cap holds "significant sentimental value", ask any more questions in this thread.

I have had the pleasure of RPing with the paragon, nay, the symbol of hope for Aurora that is Conrad Cole. He was an excellent deconstruction of the Bald Condition and a more than competent doctor, no, an artisan in his field. He was more able and knowledgeable than the rest of medbay staff. He was a wonderful conversation partner. He was a worthy adversary for my security officer Chance as far as wits go. Chance faced trial after well RP'ed trial in the pursuit of justice, freedom, electronics, and footwear. Oh Captain, my Captain! Lead this vessel as you may, for I shall serve in your crew until may days end. Also was p good at emotes. +1.
