  1. I like to go to a public outdoor shooting range managed by FWC in the next county. It's on the edge of a nature preserve sort of thing, I've never gone into it myself, but it means the area is nice and secluded. It's also a nice drive down the dirt road leading to the range itself.
  2. I fucking kek'd. That was the best.
  3. I actually had a google doc at once point with 140 different systems that could possibly be habitable, and then I was going about researching them to see if planets were found, or speculating as to what a habitable planet in those systems would be like off of information already known about them (star type, metallicity, etc). I was then pretty much told that the depth of the research I was doing was highly unnecessary, and I ended up deleting the doc. So yeah.
  4. SOMEONE SET UP THE GODDAMN SERVER ALREADY FUCKING DOEET
  5. My current run is me playing as myself rather than imposing a good/evil mindset on the playstyle. As it turns out, I'm an evil motherfucker. I am Wasteland Hitler. And I fucking love it.
  6. Where I live, the cops are generally good people. Sure, they may initially be standoffish and fire off a few questions at you, but if you go along with what they say, cooperate, and are polite, you tend to be let off with simple warnings, or even nothing at all. I've never really understood how people get in bad situations with cops unless they're being assholes, quite frankly... And I think that should apply to the security on the server too. If someone isn't an asshole to an officer, they shouldn't expect harsh treatment. Even if the officer is standoffish and possibly rude, cooperation and politeness would prevent a good portion of the shitcurity incidents people complain about.

    BATTER UP

    Stun Baton Baseball. FUCKING. WANT.
  8. Personally, I think the term "snowflake" should remain a poorly defined concept, as it allows people to develop their own definitions, and allows it to evolve with the community over time. There are cases of obvious and inherently bad characters, complete with tails, color-changing eyes, and sexy buttcheeks. There are cases of characters that directly conflict/contradict established lore. But then there are more subjective cases that some will feel strongly about, and others will think are fine the way they are.. In a way, the cague definiition of the term "snowflake" serves to keep the community on its toes about it, and have individuals re-evaluate their own definition of it as they interact with new and different characters belonging to people with a different perspective.
  9. Nebs is the best. She's pretty much the only person ever to make an ubersnowflake character and then get me to like them. All of my yiss.
  10. no mention of sexy buttcheeks 0/10 would not erp with
  11. You could have a goal to mine out an entire continent and create the largest underground complex possible, one worthy of Resident Evil villain lairs/bioweapon labs.
  12. Heads-up, I just read the OP and not the other posts because it's too early in the morning for me to care. Gene sciences aren't easy. Sure, we've mapped out the entire human genome. Doesn't exactly mean we can change it at will. It's easier to modify the genetic structures of simpler organisms, like in corn or snails or what have you. It's much, much more difficult to do it with humans. Gene therapy would probably be widespread, to deal with cancer and AIDS in the future. But genemods would not be. The human genetic structure mutates constantly, and has a lot of junk DNA and bits that can end up fucking someone's life up if changed or removed. You could think of changing the human genome in terms of organic coding, though much more difficult, I suppose. You fuck one thing up and suddenly compiling errors all around, person has massive tumors and/or is dead. Also, simply giving someone an injection/implant would not be sufficient to change their entire genetic structure. You'd literally have to change every cell in their body. Also, the whole "designer baby" thing is a moral/ethical dilemma, an argument used against the concept of human gene modifications. Also, the age of humans is capped at 200 years, and only then for the super-rich. Most people would be living the average lifespan of humans today. Also, this serves no purpose and is only going to give ubersnowflakes an excuse. If widespread genemods are a thing, then the station will soon be overrun by people with cat ears and tails and people who are halfbreeds of alien species and people who are able to see in the dark and have glowing irises and have fantasy skin colors and natural pink hair and are nine feet tall and don't need to have years of experience to do every job on the station because their genemods make them smarter etc etc etc etc.
  13. I saw the Yahtzee review that called it space trucking. Hue.
  14. I don't really think that a character with tails and ears that are actually part of their body fit with the theme of the server and the playerbase overall. This may have a niche appeal with you and people who are part of your fandom, but it does nothing to further roleplay with others, and is a massive step into this character becoming the ubersnowflake.
  15. ... Ah... Erm... Uh... ...
  16. BYOND Key: Rusty Sh4ckleford Total Ban Length: Permanent ban from antagonist roles. Banning staff member's Key: Nightmare00 (I think) Reason of Ban: I was a ling one round, and started deathstinging security after I had been captured. At the time, I agreed with Nightmare that I should probably take a break from antag roles for a while. Reason for Appeal: I was being a chucklefuck. Around the time before the ban, I was generally losing motivation to even log onto the server, and being an antag just sort of boiled down to an attempt to make it fun for myself in my own mind. Since then, I've made a couple new characters, and have started playing old ones again, and getting back into the swing of things. Even better, I have ideas now with how to play antags that could serve to make a round a lot more fun for quite a few more people. So, yes. I would like to be able to be a dirty syndie traitor again.
  17. I once was given flight powers on some person's low pop server they were starting up because they wanted help with building stuff. I flew a thousand blocks away and built a monolithic dirt penis sculpture that touched the sky.
  18. Rusty makes three. I'd be willing to do a small role, maybe.
  19. The thing about Halo is that the main characters are two dimensional cardboard stands with extremely predictable character arcs (if they even have character arcs). They shoot things good, they punch things good, but that's about it. They're not interesting in any way, really.
  20. I could do something... depending on whether I can get my low-quality-jury-rigged-half-boom-mike-with-half-ass-soldering-and-handle-still-attached to work.
  21. This And this I was an engineer that round, and was on my way to escape bay after being told about the plan to fake the singularity escaping. On my way there, bombs started detonating, including one that took out the bar just as soon as I got into the hallway. I also think the operatives should have a complaint against them rather than Nikolai. Bombs going off in the bar and places like it in response to an escaped singularity is the kind of shit you'd expect on a grief server.
  22. I actually don't think Nikolai or anyone else involved did anything wrong here, at least from what I know about the situation. I'm more than certain the plan to fake the singularity release came before my call for a transfer. Even that was just made as a joke because someone else ICly noticed the length of the shift. This seems like a case of misunderstanding or just annoyance about RP getting cut short through IC means.
  23. Take two baldies, tie them to chairs, coat one liberally in welder fuel and light him on fire, and give the other overpressured internals filled with plasma. See which one expires first.
  24. They're xenobiological lifeforms, so I'd imagine that Dionaea, along with Tajarans, Skrell and Unathi, they would not fit into any of the current branches of the animal kingdom, as those only concern lifeforms on Earth. I think they'd all have completely different kingdoms since they all evolved independently in different star systems.
