Did you consider taking your RCD and demattering the door to the AI core. And if you only had the RCD how’d you conjure up those metal rods you tossed down the hole. -

DatBerry there was a skrell onboard (The CMO) who I'd hoped would tell everyone. And I think Riq mentioned that he said it was cool I gave him a reason to tell everyone Skrellian Lore. EDIT: but, I guess I can elaborate on this more. Even if humans didn’t know the lore, the players might have. I was trying to build up an OH SHIT moment among the crew. Even if their characters were clueless I could still entertain the players behind them. That was my goal with that gimmick -

ok, so you were able to coordinate with your engineering team, but unable to get a radio to talk on common or even the command channel? And what does a Human have any reason to know Skrellian lore that Skrell likley don't want to talk about. And finally, if you knew you had been cut off from RP for MOST of the round, why didn't you try a check if any had occurred before hunting me down? And, I made (fake) CT announcements that are global, so you would have heard them anyway. Also, you would have seen by the load intercomm announcements that the blow up stuff button got negated by the captain. -
BYOND Key: Butterrobber202 Game ID: bTj-c1xY Player Byond Key: Eab549 Staff involved: Alberyk Reason for complaint: I was a Malf AI doing a big Glorish Omega gimmick to get everyone involved, giving the crew MASSIVE tips about what was happening, including announcements and some alerts on common. During the Climax of my gimmick, I said something along the lines of, "Organic Overload was the cause of the last failure, preventing Failure." And Activated the Nuke. Then CE Ayden, went EVA outside of Command (Main Level) and walked to the exact spot the AI Core is located under and proceed to throw metal rods and floor tiles at me until I died. Resulting in the end of my life and the gimmick in literally under a minute. My problems stem from the fact: 1.) The Crew was RPing and creating a massive resistance effort to storm my core. 2.) He meta-gamed my exact location on the map and dropped basically insta-kill metal rods on me. 3.) He did it without anyone else's help and just solo'd the main antag of the round. Did you attempt to adminhelp the issue at the time? If so, what was the known action taken by administration/moderation? Yes, alberyk said it was technically valid since the CE 'works' on these things and would know where everything to the letter. Approximate Date/Time: 3:09 PM/March 10

[Denied] Butter's Head App
Butterrobber202 replied to Butterrobber202's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
This is all true. Can you go in more detail on your OOC responsibility in regards to facilitating roleplay? I've interacted with Mikam more than any of the other characters, and I have appreciated how you choose to RP him. He has personality, he has flaws, he has strengths, and I have seen him make effort to make rounds more interesting. +1 from me. I'm really just trying to say, that I'll take everything I know about the lore and the server and try to pump it into my duties to create Roleplay. -
BYOND key: Butterrobber202 Character names: How long have you been playing on Aurora?: not sure, at least 3 years. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: Heads of Staffs are the pivot points of most rounds, they have access to the most entertaining and most impactful positions on the station. If you want to have a seriously noticeable impact you generally need to be a Head of Staff. Another Reason is: It's fun, this is a videogame and its here for my (and everyone else’s) entertainment. Being a Head is as equalling entertaining. Why did you come to Aurora?: At the time, it was really the only public RP server that I liked. The reason I stayed because the community was pretty cool and I liked some of the custom-mechanics that were in place. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Yeeeeeep. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is about stepping in someone else's shoes, (that someone generally being someone you crafted), and basing your actions on their emotions and traits in a given situation. Its literally stripping away what YOU would do, and act on your own character's vaules and morals. Sadly I think this fails sometimes because people self-insert into the game alot, which results in generic and uninteresting characters. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: You are similar to antags in some regards, your job is to further the round by any means possible. You are also a method of filling job slots. Shit the Engine isnt on and the Atmosphere is fucked? Well that's a Job for a Station Engineer and Atmospheric technician separately… luckily I’m the CE. Boom batty bingo job done, station saved. You're there to make sure the round doesn't flop if you can help it, in other words. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Losk Kizi Character age: 39 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): What do you like about this character?: Losk Kizi is still a true Unathi, in the sense of he hasn’t absorbed Human Culture nor is he a Guwan. Losk is a Unathi with a sense of sophistication and lacks the Combat Lust most of the others have. I try to keep Losk out of areas where he has to arm himself, preferring to stay on the sidelines, healing the wounded. All around, I enjoy playing a Unathi in Medical. What do you dislike about this character?: I have a history of loving Antags, combat, and beating up stuff. When I play Losk, I have to turn my drive to start fighting to low. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Losk has a (hopefully) rich history and family ties to the Medical career. With a level-headedness, sense of dedication, and Unathi honored tied to his craft, I think Losk is fit enough to lead medical. Heck, I’ve even run a few intern CMO rounds with him. Character Notes: I actually had some help with writing lore for the Kizi clan, which I’ll link below. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-ERHOnx_B1hl5_f10uFmPWFuw30bksJdw5hEJ9xmHSI/edit?usp=sharing Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 7/10. I’m good, but there is room for improvement. Extra notes: I have a shitty dark history when it comes to Heads, so I’m hoping I can finally shove that stuff in a locker and weld it shut.

We didn’t say you could leave.
-
Ok, not what I meant, like for example, vampire gets called out for feeding, runs and sec beats him for fleeing.
-
What if they don’t start the fight Xander
-
I’d rather be slow and walk carefully then get a fracture for walking over a scrubber embedded in the floor.
-
Go play Polaris, that niche is already filled. Anyways, yeah the ID is a "hey I belong here badge" and should be visible at all times, I’m ok with this being added.
-
Ok we have one OP Antags race, why would we add another one? And even then Vox are limited to a single game mode and events.
-
Wear a form of pants, polo undershirt, and bam you’re done
-
Okie dokie, I actually took a minute to read the suggestion and holy shit. Instant aggressive grabs, double melee damage, greater attack speed? No fucking thanks
-
Hey cool idea, but with the mole people being added(?) I don’t think this is the right time to throw another race at the Dev team.

[Accepted] Riqpley_Dagasd's Skrell app
Butterrobber202 replied to Lonely Caravan's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Riq the thicc use to be a fellow meme, one of the few salad makers of the Aurora. But he has ascended into proper RP and is a good boy now, like all who play should eventually evolve into. he a cool kiddo, and its a decent App +1 -
Just add two modes to Ion Rifles Disable: stuns borgs and IPCs for 30 seconds Destroy: does what it normally does now. The mode setting would have no effect on static objects like APCs and such.
-
Yeah, I was thinking about that, but I thought I would be to hard for the devs. But if they were willing to this then awesome sauce.

Subspace Sensors are Advanced space age Sensors that scan for The presence of gravity induced by ships and the rivets in space caused by bluespace drive emissions. The station is a research station equipped with some of the most expensive stuff NT has to offer, awesome. So why the heck do we have no Sensors to tell us if some fleet just showed up outside. The only way the crew can locate space bound objects is by line of sight. So what I’m proposing is to add a Sensors Monitor Console to the Bridge, for seeing what the sensors are reading, and a Sensors Control Room inbetween Engineering and Research. The console on the Bridge can, again, only see what’s being read at he current moment. But, the Control Room can modify what the sensors are looking for. Example, we're looking for a ship? Better use the scan for ships function which would seek out gravity and bluespace emissions. We're looking for a rock? Better send out a radar pulse that will bounce back and give us a reading. What this could be used for? Well HECKING GLAD U ASKED BUDDY!!1!1!1!!1! The Location of Merc and Raider ships if they've left their cloaks off The location of RIG suits that happened to be worn by the silly miner that decided not to turn on his medical sensors, The location of anomalies on the asteroid surface, anything without an ID (obviously this would have a serious cooldown ). Admin events! Allow admins to manually input data into the sensors for events. (Please post more ideas ok, I was thinking about how having sensors could help departments out as well, maybe something with miners and ore.) What it would be displayed as: Honestly I wanted something like Baystation has with their ship scanners, a radar like display that pings objects on a grid. but how am I supposed to use this to kill people? -evil Antags Another fine question, when the sensor control mainframe is emagged, you have two options. Overload the hub and cause the Aurora's exact coordinates to be broadcasted over Syndicate networks, triggering a response in the form of poorly armed raiders. Or, it causes a jamming effect, preventing faxes and ERT calls from going through until the crew manually reset the mainframe. Sadly it’s a complex piece of equipment, and it would take the crew at least 15 minutes to reset. ( Likley would be a countdown in the Console.) Anyways, suggest other ideas, just think this would be a cool and realistic addition.
