  1. Right, so the New Kingdom denounces outside intervention in the planet's politics, and according to Sue herself, The New Kingdom offers public services for it's citizens. So, taking account that credits/Thalers/whateverthefucks are a universal currency brought to Adhomai from outside sources, would the New Kingdom also denounce the Galactic Credit/Thale and create their own currency?
  2. Imagine coming into the library one round, and the 'Adult' section is suddenly filled. That would be hilarious, so, good suggestion, and some good prank potential.
  3. Top K'ek! This news station is now under supervision of Lord Admiral Trazarial Yizarus. he Local Lord of K’ek, Dekoju L’ol Takk is advertising the his city as what might be the first hot Unathi tourist destination. The city itself in the central city of an island chain in the Trizkizki Sea on Oureaea. According to Takk, the city of K’ek is the best city on the whole planet to come and relax with clan members and loved ones, bested only by Skalamar in grandness. “Top K’ek!” Said Takk in an interview. “I dare any local Lord here on Oureaea or Moghes to find a city that tops K’ek in beauty, serenity and activities, both for the men, women and children. We have hunting and fishing reserves, metalsmithing shops for finely crafted weapons and armours, and fighting centers for the men and male hatchlings, as well as care centers for the women and girl hatchlings.” Lord L’ol Takk also gave permission to Sinta Articles to offer a special deal. Anyone who arrives in K’ek with a printed cut out of this news article will receive special offers from establishments owned directly by the Lord and his clan. This includes, but is not limited to, free stays in Pe’Pe Lodgings, No’gf Spa is offering free tail massages for the wives of any men holding the snippet, and D’Ank Entertainment Center is going to be displaying the screening a special film, only to be shown to those who purchase tickets with the article on their person. Story paid for by the K’ek Tourism Board.
  4. I know, I brought that up in the post that the forum deleted. This is just for people who want to be from the Rim, but don't have any ideas of their own. I think one of the good things about ambiguity in lore, and creative licensee is being able to share what you've created with everyone.
  5. Okay, there was going to be more of an explanation, but FUCK THE FORUMS, who deleted everything I said. Post any planets you thought up in the outer rim. Triumve: [Link] Izinkomo: [Link]
  6. Shinjlekh Ukhaan: Stands back inside the crowd, staring up at the ship with his arms crossed over his chest. He briefly flicks his eyes down to his choice of dress, a dressy, black suit with a red tie, and a traditional coat of hide and leathers draped over his shoulders. He shakes his head and then starts to make his way to the A dock, filing his way into the queue. He takes quick glances at the people around him, both in his own line, the surrounding, and just in general anyone he could set his gaze on. When it's finally time to present himself to the docking guard, he flips his boarding pass out of the pocket rather matter-of-fact-ly. He watches the guard open his lips to speak, and interrupts to answer the question he knew he was going to be asked. "Yesss, I am Resssearch Director, yessss I am Unathi." The answer causes the guard to shut his mouth and nod. The rest of the docking goes on without event, having his luggage checked through, even though he couldn't help but notice they took extra time to check him. Once his finally in the main boarding room, he stands and wanders a bit, wondering if he'll see any familiar faces before going to his room.
  7. --Unathi-- As per the lore, make them actually unable to fix hunger with the "nutriment" chemical. Animal protein or egg yolk only. Blood, maybe? Makes sense, but I don't think that transferred over with the newcode, and if it did, I surely help with don't keep it all, as I liked our old cooking system. [*]Give them a tailwhip skill, iguana-style. Sounds good to me, don't see why not. [*]They're big, heavy reptiles. Give them a slightly slower walk speed (probably just a bit faster than a cyborg) I think they're already a bit slower in newcode, no? [*]On the other hand, they're big, heavy reptiles. They ought to be able to hold a gun more stably, and so give them a slight accuracy bonus when using firearms. Yeah, this sounds like a thing that could make sense, but I feel like it'd only bolster the meta want to be Lizarity. [*]Toxin damage from ingesting the following chemicals/food items: Cream and Milk (they never developed the gut flora to digest it). Frost Oil (they're vulnerable to cold). Capsaicin (shit's actually mildly toxic, yo). Cherries (Unathi most likely don't have the mouth dexterity to bite off the flesh, and the pits are toxic to lizards), Eggplants (apparently toxic to lizards) All of these sound really cool to me, but I think people might get tiffed that they can't eat everything anymore. [*]Slower healing (because humans actually heal really fucking fast compared to other animals) Im a bit iffy on this one. Id like all races to have their advantages and disadvantages, but I don't want any one species to be so disadvantaged with something like this. [*]On the flipside, since a lot of lizards are known to be capable to regrow limbs, they can actually slowly heal bone damage On the other side of the coin, this seems like it'd be too much of an advantage, given the Unathi already overpowering robustness. [*]A sharp sense of smell allows them to gauge air composition This just seems like it wouldn't make any sense at all. It's highly unlikely any one person could learn the smells of distinct gasses enough to be able to differentiate them, let alone give even a simple guess as the quantities. ---Tajara--- Drop the idea of wearing gloves altogether, I don't know how putting holes for claws in insulated gloves doesn't compromise them, but yeah. It'd restrict their activity by quite a bit, but it would make sense. Im 1,000% for this, and Ive already done this before, where Ive refused to use gloves as a Tajaran for anything outside of vanity. [*]Also, if it's not already the case, they can't wear hats because ears. I think this is explained by Tajara having hats that have holes specifically for their ears, like the clothing they wear having holes for their tails. [*]Faster heartbeat and breathing (so they consume more air, so they suffocate a bit faster) Probably not all the disadvantageous, because if you're in a situation where you think suffocating to death is a real threat, you have 10 other problems that are about to kill you anyway. [*]Claws make it uncomfortable/unsafe to use one-handed weapons (I say one-handed because it can be argued that most, if not all, two-handed weapons' pistol grip can be ignored) What do you mean by unsafe and uncomfortable? [*]Haloss has a very small chance of causing the Tajara to catch fire (I mean - electricity and fur? Doesn't mix) This is the only thing I am completely, and utterly, irreversibly against on this list. There is absolutely no way or sense to work around this idea that won't have it be abused absurdly, not only that but it doesn't make any sense. [*]Sparks and getting shocked (like by hacking a door or cutting a live wire) also has a small chance to cause a tajara fire Expanding on the last thing here. Seriously, when was the last time you saw a cat on fire? It doesn't make any logical sense. That's like saying every human with facial hair should burst into flames under the same conditions. [*]Fur and a generally smaller frame gives them a slight evasion bonus against brute weapons This could work, although I don't know what fur has to do with their ability to DOOOOOOODGE! [*]Toxin damage from ingesting the following chemicals/food items: Cream and Milk (only a small part of humans can actually drink milk anyway; most mammals stop being capable of doing so after infanthood). Capsaicin (shit's actually mildly toxic, yo), chocolate Cream and Milk: No, partly because I like being Cargo Kitten and asking for nice glasses of cream. Also because it's an ingredient in several cooking and drink recipes, which make it unreasonable for Tajara to find food. Capsacin: Yes, but only if ingested orally, intravenously so pepper spray doesn't become death, destroyer of meow. Chocolate: Why? [*]Agile tail helps with balance. This can be manifested in several ways: gets up faster or simply doesn't fall down when gravity comes back on, is not affected by slippery floors, so on. I like the two examples given, and they make sense in my mind. Now, for my own little add-ons. Unathi Allow Unathi to eat monkeys again, and safely eat monkey cubes. Cold causing them pain after extended periods of low temperatures. Tajaran The ability to sic their Genital Scorpions on the unsuspecting masses.
  8. The above is one thing I don't understand about the IC connection with the lore. People keep saying that people should start treating all Tajaran's like terrorists, and being radically opposed to them. This is the year 2458, this is the time before the civil right's movement where everyone who wasn't white was lesser, I really hope the human race has evolved socially enough that a majority of the race wouldn't be so ignorant anymore. I also think it's a bit weird, because if I made a character who called black people niggers, treated them lowly, or started treating all Muslim characters like terrorists, Im almost positive Id be condemned ICly, OOCly, and probably loose any and all respect. But Im just following the mindset of people from this century have, which is something we're trying to apply to the human race nearly 500 years into the future.
  9. I like it as it is. Nice, getting really good expansions, just like the dirty hoomens Sol Alliance and Biesel. The only thing Ill bring up is something Jackboot talked about a little bit ago. Theres a bit of a disconnect between how advanced the Tajarans are, and how advanced people THINK they are. Pretty much everyone who was around when he asked thought they had the same level of technology that the USSR did during WWII/The Cold War, and no one honestly believed him at first when he said they were on par with humans. A little bit more of explanation on how technologically advanced are today would help with clarity. Beside that, mwah, den otta den.
  10. Glass Delta.
  11. Can Jizz be canon?
  12. I think it's time I announce myself claiming the title of funniest staff member. Ive been given such compliments like, Alberyk - Today at 11:06 PM Oh my god. Just no. Jackboot - Today at 11:45 PM [...] I can ban you from this chat Alberyk - Today at 9:41 PM Wat Jackboot - Today at 9:30 PM screaming Jackboot - Today at 9:06 PM blushes!!!!!!!!! If anyone has any complaints, or think they're funnier, I direct you to the Jboy Message Depository.
  13. One Vote for Jay Goode of the TC Elite Liberal Party.
  14. I /THINK/ Dorn might win.
  15. Alright, since this thread has spiraled faster than anything Ive ever seen before, and Delta himself saying he wants to waiting until a higher staff wants to handle this, Ill be locking the thread until an Admin can look into the matter for them. As a note, there is sadly no way for anyone to recover Delta's post. Once a post is edited, it's edited. Okay, nevermind, Delta had the post saved somewhere, Ill be fixing it now.
  16. Delta, calm down with the personal attacks on people. This is not what we are here to discuss, and you are actively going against the rules. If you continue like you are, you're just losing credibility for yourself. EDIT: Renaming your posts into something passive-aggressive doesn't help either Delta. At this point, you're just breaking the rules. Now, onto the matter at hand. No rules were broken, no standards were broken as I can see them, except your own. I think that summarizes it pretty well. You obviously didn't like what happened, so you criticize it as shitty drama bull. But people were just playing the game in a way that was enjoyable to them, and beside the poking at the CMO thing, everyone else but you rolled with the punches and just roleplayed around it. There is nothing that was done here worthy of punishment of any people involved.
  17. Delta, I know you said you apologize for not making the event fast enough, or interactive enough fast enough, but you have to understand, and I think you do, that if that is the case, you can't be mad or surprised that people will do their own thing. In case you forget, this is a game people play for enjoyment. If Sue and Alberyk enjoy a little drama in their roleplay, well, what the hell not? Did they actually break any rules doing this? Well, arguably it could said broke the ICky OOCky rule by getting the madmins to poke someone in medical to get their body as fast as they did. But beside that? No, I don't feel like any rules were broken here. What I see is that you got mad because two people roleplayed a story arch they've had for a while, and found enjoyable, and you didn't like what that entailed. You even said started spreading salt in OOC that if people were going to be autistic idiots that you weren't even going to try to keep your event going. Some might argue you're in the wrong more so than anyone else in this situation. If any punishment is dolled out because two people decided to have a long standing, enjoyable character-to-character relationship, I am going to be extremely disappointed.
  18. You say in the guide that the gas is cooled by spess. Is it possible to use a gas cooler to make gas colder than what you get just from sending it through space?
  19. I thought Robotnameofathousand Lettersandsyllables, Gardner was pretty funny. But, yeah, if anything, they should be capped so they can't break the name character limit anymore. And if the provided example is ACTUALLY something that was suggested by the game, yeah, they either need to be fixed, or removed.
  20. Type: Wildlife Founding/Settlement Date: Null Region of Space: Uueoa-Esa Controlled by: N/A Other Snapshot information: Desert faring wildlife of Moghes. While prevalent since before the Contact War, they've thrived after, unsurprisingly in the Wasteland. Basically very large lizards, the size of a Terran Great Dane, with a hard exo-skeleton protect his fleshy bits. Long Description: Angry, four-legged Unathi wearing a suit of armour, if you want to be simple about it, these things are the apex prey, if there was such a thing. Built and evolved to protect themselves from all the other beasties that grew up on Moghes, namely Threashbeasts, before the Unathi tamed them as war mounts. Unathi used to and still do use them as a source of food, furniture, decoration, and clothing/armour. Today that all is mostly for show, but certainly the ancient Unathi had actual use for these things as survival supplies, and war supplies.
  21. Type : Wildlife Founding/Settlement Date : Null Region of Space: Whatever region of space Tajaran are from. S'rand'marr, if that's what you're talking about. Controlled by (if not a faction): N/A Other Snapshot information: I thought it'd be cool to have some lore about the wildlife that live on the alien planets. Example ^. Basically, entirely snow white caribou, with brown antlers, meant to mimic dead wood. Unlike Terran caribou, they also share digitigrade limbs like their planet's main inhabitants. Snow Strider is just what they're called in Common, in the Tajaran tongue they're Rutas Neve Long Description: For much of Tajaran history, the Snow Striders were the main prey of Tajaran hunters, and still are today in rural areas of the planet. Their meat was nice and hearty and healthy, and the thick furs were good for making clothes to keep themselves warm in the snow. As the modern ages came, the hunting of the Striders slowed, as the Tajaran started to learn how to capture and farm them for their resources more efficiently. That being said, not that the modern day Adhomai needs their resources less, thanks to synthetic fabric and more efficient food sources, both the meet and the fur of the Snow Striders has become an export of the Adhomai people. In the olden days, and in very Rural places in Adhomai today, the sinew of Snow Striders are used to make bows, and the antlers are used as decorations, either just them alone, or with carved designs.
  22. I actually like the random alien names. It's a lot better than hitting random on your Tajaran to get a good idea for a name, and end up getting the name "Thomas Derringer." And, I mean, they're NOT human names, they're really not supposed to be make sense to us, and it's pretty cool they don't. Also, random Diona names are pretty cool, I rando'ed a few names myself just to try it out. I even managed to pluck out a name of one of the Diona someone applied as a while back ago.
  23. Except we do, do that. Theres a reason you don't see Diona EMT's, or Security Officers. Because those are roles that just don't make sense for someone that walks so slowly would be in. I don't know where, but that's been specifically mentioned on the forums somewhere. Or OOC. I don't remember which.
