brb, banning UM for lewiding on the fourms -
Reporting Personnel: Emily O'Harron Rank of Reporting Personnel: Head of Personnel Personnel Involved: Cain Andrews, Captain. Elizabeth Barlow, Security Cadet (Offender). Kanza Al'Falak, Security Officer (Offender). Garry Miles, Security Officer. Time of Incident: 4:30~ Real time: 3:00~ UTC-5, 22FEB2458 Location of Incident: Bar/Kitchen Area Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [X]Neglect of Duty []Harassment [X]Assault []Misconduct []Other _____ Overview of the Incident: I was going to the kitchen to try and stop an ill-advised pie-ing of a xenobiologist for unrelated reasons, what I saw Officer Al'falak watching Cadet Barlow and Officer Miles standing in the bar. Barlow was very clearly holding Miles down aggressively, and started to visibly rip his knee out of it's socket, and Mile was VERY clearly trying to fight his way out of her grip. I asked Officer Al'Falak why they decided to just sit there and let her cause extremely painful bodily harm to a crew member, and the only answer they gave was 'She thinks they're mates.' I asked for a more serious answer a few moments later, and the only answer she had this time was, 'they've been rough housing all shift.' The captain was witness to this, the entire event, and had to break the two apart himself, and then even had to tell the Security Borg that arrived partway through to arrest Barlow, because Officer Al'Falal would not, even when ordered by name to preform the arrest by the Captain himself. Miles then immediately received medical attention, and Barlow was demoted to an assistant position whilst serving brig time for assault. I make this complaint in hope to bring light to Barlow's extremely inappropriate behaviour as a member of security staff, and Al'Falak's lack of understanding of corporate security regulations. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: The Captain, named above, and myself were both direct witnesses to the event. Additional notes:

I think we all know why Vira is carrying it around. -
Wait, I thought it was other way around? Damnit. Oh well, I suppose the story wouldn't change much if the parent's switched races.

[Alternative Title: Show off your character's back stories from the ES series.] The Third Era was a harsh time for the area now known as High Rock. The Orsmer were new to to the realm, and they expected their own place in the mountains, and other places. But they were surrounded by the Redguards, and the Bretons. We was only a matter of time before a number of Orsmer fell under the rule of a Breton lord. The land known as Koegria by the Orcs fell under the rule of a family named Veamillion. However, this Breton lord came to power in the strangest of means. The man that came to power over the Orcs there was not Breton, nor was he Orsmer. He was half bred, a father a Breton blood, and a mother of Orsmer kind. The line following always looked like a member of the Breton race, but they never stopped carrying the strength of Orcs, and they also never lost their faith in Malacath. But we all know what happened in during the Fourth era, when the lands of the Orcs were stolen, and many fled to Skyrim. The guild of Veamillion fled along with them, losing their past and identity, to ensure their kin's safety in the cold snow of Skyrim, where the half breeds may not be so forgiven for their mixed blood. They joined their brothers in the Reach, but good fortune did not smile upon them, as they were got up in the Markarth Incident. The family was split after, some join the Forsworn, others stayed. Those who stayed went on to live their lives normally as any other Breton would, but the Veamillion name still grows in the hills of the Reach from those who joined the Madmen. Only two still bare the name of their blood. Tregas, a mage who practices in the Collage of Winterhold, and Imuka, and warrior of the Reach madmen.

Fun Facts About....well, Ourselves!

I dabbled into the game once. I can try playing again for y'all. -
They hire blind lizard chaplains, legless cadets and many, many, SO MANY crazy people so I don't see why they wouldn't hire a fatty. I am all for it being a wheel chair with a different sprite but I like how the tug is battery powered. Glad you could use me as an example. Also, don't forget Cargo Kitten. In case I didn't make it clear enough with my last post, this has my support.
-
As long as they can only add notes and not actually edit records themselves, it has my seal of approval.
-
It seems most prevalent with the QM and HoP's tamp. Only other time Ive seen it happen was one other time with the captain's stamp. Really bloody annoying.

Garn, nothing is clearly outlined in the rules. If you want to say that as long as people will notice, "Oh, hey, someone is missing" that means killing anyone, at any moment, in anyway at all is valid and completely fair. That also means that anytime some random schmuck going SSD somewhere remote is something that should really excite the entire station. What would happen if a tator assistant wrenched a doctor unconscious and then killed them? Well, the station has to deal with a missing doctor, it's okay. The assistant thought of a way to kill them, wrench their head until RNG beats them unconscious, cable tie so they can't call for help, and then drag them off and kill them. How would that event be any different from what happened here?
-
Sorry if this is diverging onto a tangent, but... Honestly dude, what the fuck is your problem with Garn? It's 100% obvious you've got something going on with him outside of this complaint due to the fact that you mock all of his defenses as 'invalid opinions' as though they have no value to them, and won't actually take the time to back off and remain unbiased. The complaint wasn't even by you, so your overzealous aggressiveness really sticks out. You're being rude and unfair. Stop it now. Im not mocking all of his defenses, Im saying he has no defenses. Which is completely valid since he hasn't given any. And I have no problem with Garn, I have a problem with anyone who doesn't abide by the rules. My only bias is to the rules, by the rules. If I appear rude, well them Im sorry, it's only because Im trying to be fair, when others aren't.
-
We are here to discuss an event, but it seems the only person worth having an argument with at this point is Garn himself, because obviously the opinions of others aren't going to sway anything he says.
-
I say everyone else, meaning the people who do not agree with you. And at least I and others are trying. Where is your support for anything you've said in the slightest beside saying "I don't think," "I don't agree?" You have just as many gaps as you claim I do, you say Im citing rules that don't apply to this situation, so explain to me exactly why it does not beside for the excuse that you don't agree with it. Explain to me exactly what you saw before, during and after these events that made you say this was alright. Because the only thing me, Sue, and Camp see is two people being killed, and then cloned. Explain to me exactly what about that gives enough interaction to the masses of the station to make this excusable.
-
Well Garn, we're sure doing much more to defend our position than you are. Here's how you've defended what you've so so far. "Im right, you're wrong." Everyone else here has actually looked at the rules, cited references, other events, stuff that could prove you're wrong. I surely hope you know what you said to me applies to you as well, because it feels like you think the exact opposite.
-
Garn, you say the other two events were valid, but very, very obviously a big portion of people disagree. With good reason. I didn't want to bring up the past, but you are the single most controversial admin to ever grace Aurora, a total of eight complaints against you. You're quickly becoming the Techno of staff. Every single of of your complaints stem from you making poor decisions, poor calls like this, before you were evena real admin, people were complaining about exactly this kind of thing since you were a trial mod.
-
So, basically nothing you said has any baring at all on anything that happened in this scenario?
-
??? ???????
-
How about nurfing the new cops like has been suggested countless times before? Replace their hardsuits with softsuits, tone down their weapons, their numbers, something that makes them less of the obvious ganking, rambo machines they're supposed to be on LRP servers.
-
Except you completely and utterly missed every single point I was trying to make, or purposefully ignored them. I asked what made THEM a threat. In that exactly moment, what made those people you PURPOSELY led to a dead body a threat to you? If you didn't want them to be a threat, don't purposefully make them a threat so you can kill them. They couldn't have known or told ANYONE. But you went out of your way to lead them to the body, and make them a threat to you. I also didn't mean knock them out and leave them, I mean "knock them out, make it so you can't use their radio, and then actually put effort and making sure they enjoy something before they die, like a good antag should." Yes, dying suck, but dying is a part of the game! Does that mean everyone forever should go out of their way to do something that would give YOU an advantage at the cost of others like you did? Absolutely not.
-
Tell me, when did they walk in on you doing something that would justify them calling for help? You didn't give them anything to call for help about, you didn't have a reason to kill them, they didn't have a reason to see you a threat, you were not treated as a threat. You, answer me now, how were they in any way, shape or for a threat to you that needed to be killed then, there, and now, in the way you did? To answer you question, I would NOT have lured the HoS, detective, or anyone other security member, or anyone at all, just for the express intent purpose of slitting their throats without talking to them, or interacting with them in anyway as you did. What would I do as a changeling? I would lure them someplace by more extensive means. Someone my changeling looks like has a friend? Hey bud, lets hang out! Im security? Sir, Im going to need to bring you to the brig and take your radio. Im an engineer? Well, that's a fun person to be. You have weapons at your disposal, endless and endless amounts really, you can make so much, and you have reason to always order more plastic, wood, metal, everything you can make weapons from. You can knock people out, cable cuff them, and their radio using abilities are gone, they are no threat. But how can you do that? Well. You, as an engineer can you your very own stun baton with metal rods, wires, wirecutters, and one, single battery. Disabling them would have been just as easy as ganking them. Thats not just There are plently of fun, constructive ways you can play with your targets, AND keep yourself safe. Instead, you lured two people into a room, and slit their throats instantly, so you could have your DNA. Now that you have that answer, let me ask you one more thing. How did what you do, garner any roleplay for someone who wasn't already a ling? Did you consider that before you killed them? Did you put any thought into the enjoyment of others before going on to kill them?
-
So just because you think someone is going to break the rules, you want to preemptively break the rules, so they don't break the rules? This... This reminds me of something... I actually have already, let me go back and find it since you either missed it, or 'missed it.' Let me ask you a question now. If security planned something like this out, and then wordlessly lasered you to death, would THAT be against the rules?
-
Naw fam, you can see those tiddies from Aurora.
