  1. I mean in relation to allowing brigged antags to leave the round through say cryo but fair, I take it back.
  2. Sue weren't you the one who said being permabrigged for like two hours is fair game because "you lost so deal with it"? Doesn't the same apply here? At least you're only out of the round for 30mins tops in this case.
  3. I'm fine with sat or sun but knowing sooner rather then later would be coolies.
  4. I like the latter because in my mind it's less complicated and I GOTTA GO FAST. The lore team can throw in fluff as and when they so wish really, after all this is a game not an actual job. You're supposed to be having fun too kekboot. Elections once every 2 IRL months seems cool. Wars tend to last longer then a year, even small ones let alone planetary wide rebellions. Technology can advance at whatever pace the lore team set. Any news reports can happen as often as if comfortable, after all IRL we get the news everyday, not a few times a week/month like on the Aurora. The gaps can be filled by the player bases own '''top quality''' 100% legit head canon (as it already is). At the end of the day, if a player wants their character to be and self insert be too attached then fair enough, they can just pretend it isn't happening as they likely already do with death.
  5. Though I totes get where you're coming from I prefer the 1 hour = 1 day as it allows good character and round progression speed and I don't think a stint on the aurora is supposed to be a 9-5. I'd assume it be more like a navy boat in regards to work and down time.
  6. The OOC IRL time would be 20 minutes but the IG time would be 8 hours. The timer would show the OOC time in my opinion to avoid confusion, likewise the crew transfer/escape shuttle and any OOC cool downs. Might also be worth having a tool in OOC or something which allows the player to convert IRL time to Aurora time and visa versa. But that's like, my opinion man.
  7. Further for the record, this would mean: 1 IG day = 1 IRL hour 1 IG hour = 2.5 IRL minutes 1 IG min = 2.5 IRL seconds I'd recommend that the time on PDA's is pulled from a constantly running clock server side that runs at this speed oh which people can check up on via the wiki and or the forums to see the current date. You'll have to rev up those news articles though guis.
  8. I'd add that this means lab-interns, nursing interns, cadets, engineering apprentices and the gang can actually rank up within a resonable amount of IRL time. It'll now be possible for you 18 year old Intern to be CMO one day without playing this server for literally 30 IRL years. Around 15 IRL days would be an IG year for the record.
  9. Characters would age around 23 years an IRL year. I'm actually OK with this. +1
  10. If the fire axe case can't be broken without a multi-tool or welder then that is mega shit. I don't think EMT's should get multi-tools but god damn those cases need to be nerfed otherwise (though that's a topic for a different thread).
  11. You don't need the fire axe, you just want it because its quicker. Breeching charges and thermite are also quicker. It just doesn't make sense for EMTs to just have those and besides, you can still break the glass in an emergency.
  12. Love THAT idea. In the context of this thread, nah fam no multi-tools for EMTs. However, if some one were to suggest the quoted for EMT's and Sec, I'd +1 that!
  13. Good job completely ignoring the OP. I agree with the suggestion. The event would be a lot less horrific if the horde of nanomed's were exempt. I have failed... Seriously though top jokes kekboot, good job completely ignoring the fact the OP was edited. In the context of the new OP I say yes, if we're going to keep the ''''event'''', make the NanoMed exempt.
  14. I dunno, in my experience as an antag I get put in a lot of situations where I really should be pop-pop-poppin watching crew men droppin but I stay my hand because I don't want to knock people out of the round for 30mins. This however, leads to me getting rushed by lab interns and getting beaten down by their awesome kung-fu even when they had a gun pointed at their head. You also see a lot of smack talk to antags as well which would get their heads caved in but again, I stay my hand because I don't want to come across as a dick. I really think people should learn to fucking RP fear and pain better. I mean, is it worth adminhelping when some one goes full kommando when they're a nurse etc? Ditto when an antag just lights the place up without a word? Would this be a move towards stopping the gank-bum rush escalation?
  15. I'd go one further and say remove the event completely. It originates from top kek low RP servers where the machines actually attack you after a while. Redonkulous to have it here.
  16. The issue you're going to have with banning bound ants as antags is that unbound can just pretend to be bound. They are evil syndi/whatever agents after all. I like the new lore etc, the trick is for ant players to actually follow this and not do dumb things like gib rats for epic ant keks.
  17. Plus what's to say your criminal character doesn't have a guy on the inside who you hand stuff over to?
  18. No When things get really bad, noe janitor just can't handle it, the mop is not fast enough. I've played rounds where i janited my heart out constantly and still couldn't keep up with the mess. at seriously bad times a second one is needed Also your statement about going SSD doesn't make sense. Four security officer slots doesn't mean four SSD officers More people to fill a job means less chance that all of them will be SSD at once. It also means that should one janitor go SSD, the other can find them (custodial locator yay), recover their sleeping body (because same access) and cryo them so that a third person can take that slot. And, as jackboot mentions originally, it also means that they can buddy up. Instead of standing alone mopping hallways, they can team up, discuss how to divide labour, and thus avoid loneliness and boredom. they can spend time together grumbling about how messy people are, and trade tips about janiting, learn from each other. Everyone deserves some socialisation. Having someone to talk to means less chance of going SSD Thus i argue, having two janitors will mean a net decrease in the frequency of SSD janitors, not an increase Fair, you have won me over.
  19. That happens alot more often than you might think. The key is to try not to get caught Watch out for that bloody AI! Minersixtyniner: Heheh got muh brief case of phoron, now just need to head to the shu- AI: MINER WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THAT CASE OF PHORON?
  20. To be honest, one janitor handles shiz as is. The only reason why we have hallways coated in vombit/blood etc is because the Janitor got bored and went SSD. Two slots just means two SSD janitors to be honest droogies. I say add cart et al to things cargo can order. Solves everything.
  21. Or they could ask for access? Why are EMTs destroying the station? Why only EMTs? Why not just ask the AI? May as well give sec fireaxes as well for the same reasons.
  22. Fires a cool guy and a solid player and I think he'd do well in this position. +1 from me. Incidentally was gonna abbreviate your user in this post but err yeah.
  23. Top man and top RPer. I'm also surprised you aren't already white listed for this. +1 from me.
  24. Try it m8, swear on me mum. I'm all for having this be an extra slot (or two because hell why not), just all be aware that you can get your self jani-ed-up if need be, hell, you could just order the gear as an Assistant from cargo and just go to town as a temporary measure. You don't need authority from the HoP to clean blood and shit off the floor.
  25. Garabage seems to have his head on his shoulders. Everytime I get involved with his RP I have a good time. +1
