Pratepresidenten Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 As it is now, the only type of damage that wont go down by itself is toxins. So make our spessmen more realistic and have toxins be processed properly too, seeing you have a functioning liver. I was thinking values would be somewhere along the lines of.. 10-15 minutes to process 1 unit of toxin? Could be more aswell I guess, its a slow process.
VTCobaltblood Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Do toxins go down when you vomit? They should.
Chada1 Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 This change is to liver for. +1. We need more organ dynamics.
BurgerBB Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 A future possible plan of mine is to rework organs entirely so that organs are actually useful. This includes implementing new organs as well, such as ears and the stomach, and adding subtypes of different organs for each species. For example, a unathi heart might be larger, stronger, and metabolize more quickly. A skrell stomach may be sensitive to non-seafood protein and not inherit to their race. A dionaea heart may add a verb that allows the user to summon a stage 7 singularity at will.

Doxxmedearly Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 The OP suggestion and Burger's ideas both sound excellent to me. Would love to see functionality for these things. Would a damaged liver then process more slowly, or not at all, or even cause slow toxins buildup? What are your thoughts there.
Hendricks Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 This does sound really cool, I always wondered why I was at constantly not 100% health because of the annoying scrubber 1-3 toxins that persist. But adding useful and realistic organs does sound cool, maybe would make sharp small weapons more viable or just in general making torso wounds more lethal in general.

What are your thoughts there. The best deal here would be toxin buildup with a badly damaged liver (15-20 points?), and halved if damaged above 2? Im not too sure what the values are for damage through substance abuse or a thorough beating, but Im sure Burger has more insight into this.
Kaed Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 You should also, if you are making organs more than a token object, make the liver's removal not cause instant death by toxin damage, but rather a slow, painful buildup of body toxins that can be stopped by a liver replacement. Possibly an artificial one.
Carver Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 No organ should be mechanically useless but the appendix, really. So I like the idea, particularly with Kaed's suggestion of making removal of it far less immediately lethal.
