Butterrobber202 Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 read title. In the game sometimes you get hit with an 'its in your contract' line, which is fair, but vague without an actual NT Contract to read. So I'd like the Lore team or CCIA to come up with a NT Employment Contract for us to read, thats really it. Hoping it's shady! You can also make different contracts for different races, for example Aut'akh and Vaurca are really just being leased(?) to the station, and as such would have much worse contracts since their cheap labor. Same could go for Tajara and Unathi. On the other side of the coin, Skrell and Humans could have superior contracts. Command would probably get a nice bonus as well.

Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Not a good idea. ToS are weaponized as a product of the corporate future. Also people saying that in station is to try to force you to do stuff. Your contract is to do your job. Its all existing regs and mechanics and job guides.
Arrow768 Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 I also do not think that this is a good idea, as a properly written up work contract can have quite a few pages and then there is the thing that contractors and different jobs might have different contracts. Therefore I do not think that what they can provide is worth the effort of creating and maintaining them. Voting for dismissal.
Zundy Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Yeah sorry man, we're lore devs not corporate solicitors.
Skull132 Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Major issues here. First, an actual contract would be so immensely long that no sane human bean would bother to read it. Second, those that do read it are likely to find (or worse, think they've found) a loophole or some such within it, and are going to use it in an attempt to strong arm people. The latter will require regular staff intervention to shut down and curb the people in question; to amend the monolithic document; to otherwise maintain said document. Literally. No benefits gained besides the ability for some people to do stupid shit, and for a bit of a neat fluff flavour.
Azande Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 .... I have an idea..... Just.... Make a list of key-points of the contract on the NT page? - You agree to follow all regulations imposed by NanoTrasen - Etc - Etc - Etc

I mean - multiple people over the last five years have asked for some sort of information on the contract to be made clear, I don't give zero fucks about it personally, I'm just spitting out what CAN be given to them because people aren't going to stop asking for it.

But you're not. My question stems from the fact that we literally have nothing useful to add with the contract, that is not already covered by another source.
ComradeCorbyn Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 I'd be down to write a watered down version of the suggestion.
